An: Hi everyone, and welcome back to the Pokémon ninja. This chapter has plenty of action, as well as the team placements and the genin test.
Hopefully this chapter doesn't have the same problems the last 1 did. I know it's not my formatting, but I couldn't seem to get it to space properly once the chapter was uploded.

Disclaimer: I in no way own Naruto or Pokémon, although if I did I'm not sure if I would make them better or worse.

2: the genin test
As they stepped into the night, the cool air a stark contrast to the warmth of the library, their ears picked up the sound of rustling in the bushes nearby. Ninetales' instincts went on high alert, her fur standing on end. "Someone's there," she warned, her eyes narrowed.
Naruto tensed, pulling a kunai from his pouch. "Show yourself!" he called out, his voice carrying across the quiet street.
From the shadows emerged a familiar figure—Mizuki Sensei, his eyes wide with greed as he clutched a scroll in his hand. "Naruto!" he exclaimed, his surprise quickly turning into a sneer. "What are you doing out here?"
"I could ask you the same," Naruto replied, his suspicion growing. "That's not a scroll from the academy curriculum, is it?"
Mizuki's smile was as fake as the scroll was forbidden. "Just a little... side project," he said, his eyes darting between the two of them. "And it seems you've found yourself a creature as freeky as you are. I suppose you think you're ready to take on the real world now?"
The disdain in Mizuki's voice was like a slap in the face, but it only fueled Naruto's resolve. He stepped forward, Ninetales at his side, her fiery mane fluttering in the breeze. "You're stealing from the village," he accused. "What's on that scroll?"
Mizuki's grin grew wider. "You wouldn't understand, little boy," he said, his eyes glinting. "This is the Forbidden Scroll of Sealing. It contains jutsu that could give me power beyond your wildest dreams."
Naruto's eyes narrowed. "That's not the way of the ninja," he said firmly. "We protect, not destroy."
Mizuki scoffed. "You're so naive," he spat. "The true power of the ninja is to do whatever it takes to win. And with this scroll, I will prove it."
He made to leave, but Ninetales was faster. A burst of fire shot from her mouth, causing Mizuki to leap backward. Mizuki yelped, dropping the scroll, allowing Ninetales to scoop it up and hide it in her tales.
The traitorous sensei turned to them, his expression darkening. "You've made a grave mistake," he hissed, his hand reaching to pull a large shuriken off his back.
But Naruto was ready. He had found his purpose, and he was not going to let anyone stand in his way. "We're not going to let you harm the village," he said, his voice steady. "We're going to stop you."
The air crackled with tension as the two sides faced off, the flames from Ninetales' mane casting an ominous glow over the street. It was clear that Mizuki was not expecting this level of opposition, especially from someone who had just failed his exams. But Naruto had never felt more alive, more determined.
With a roar that echoed through the night, he and Ninetales charged forward, ready to protect their home and their future together.
Back in his office, the Hokage's eyes widened as he observed the scene unfolding before him through the crystal ball. He had been expecting a quiet evening of paperwork, but what he saw was anything but. The flickering light from the candles cast shadows on his face, revealing a mix of surprise and concern. He had felt the disturbance in the energy and knew something significant was happening.
The Hokage watched as the flaming Ninetales and the young, spirited Naruto faced off against the treacherous Mizuki. He could see the determination in the boy's stance, the way the fire from Ninetales' mane reflected in his eyes. It was clear that this was no ordinary skirmish.
The battle was intense, a dance of fire and shadows. Mizuki's shurikens flew with precision, but Ninetales' agility and speed were unmatched. The flaming fox dodged and weaved, her tails swiping to send the deadly projectiles back towards their caster. Meanwhile, Naruto's unorthodox tactics kept the older man on his toes, his raw energy and determination making up for his lack of finesse.
The Hokage leaned in closer, his gaze never leaving the crystal. He had Never heard of the bond between a shinobi and a Pokémon. The power that surged through the duo was something he had never witnessed before in the village. It was both thrilling and slightly alarming.
He knew that the path Naruto had chosen was unorthodox, but the potential it presented was undeniable. If they could harness this power and use it for the good of the village, it could be a game-changer in the shinobi world.
As the fight grew more heated, the Hokage couldn't help but feel a sense of pride swell in his chest. This was the moment he had hoped for, the moment where a new hero would rise from the shadows of doubt and failure. And here was Naruto, standing tall, proving his worth with every fiery strike. In spite of the secret he carried sealed within him.
The air was thick with the scent of burning leaves and the acrid smell of Mizuki's fear. The Hokage knew that he had to intervene before things escalated further. He couldn't risk losing control of the situation. He reached for the intercom, his hand hovering over the button. But before he could press it, a sudden surge of energy from the crystal ball made him pause.
Naruto had summoned a new power, something that neither he nor Ninetales had ever seen before. The ground rumbled, and the leaves on the nearby trees began to whirl in a tornado of chakra. The Hokage's eyes widened even further as he watched the young ninja and his Pokémon meld their powers in a display of unbridled strength and unity.
The Hokage leaned back in his chair, his hand hovering just above the intercom. For now, he would let the battle play out. If Naruto could overcome this challenge, then perhaps he truly was ready for the responsibilities that lay ahead. The future of the village might just rest on the shoulders of this unlikely duo.
The anticipation grew with each passing second, the tension in the air palpable. The Hokage's gaze remained glued to the crystal, his heart racing in time with the fiery dance of combat before him. This was the moment that would define not just Naruto's future, but the fate of their village as well.
And as the battle reached its crescendo, with Mizuki's eyes filled with terror and the fierce determination of Naruto and Ninetales burning brighter than the stars above, the Hokage couldn't help but think that perhaps the prophecy of the child of destiny was coming to pass right before his very eyes.
The Hokage's office remained silent except for the crackling of the fireplace, the occasional rustle of paper, and the heavy breathing from the crystal ball as it relayed the battle's every move. The leader of the Hidden Leaf watched with bated breath as the clash of wills unfolded, knowing that the outcome would have far-reaching implications.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the three combatants, two sets of eyes peered through the dense foliage of a nearby tree. Both belonging to young women who had been drawn to the commotion, their hearts raced with a mix of fear and admiration.
Hinata Hyuuga, the shy yet fiercely determined heiress of the Hyuuga clan, watched with wide eyes as the flaming Ninetales danced around Mizuki's shurikens. Her soft hands clutched the tree branch she perched on, knuckles white with tension. Despite her feelings for the young Uzumaki, she had always been too timid to express them. Now, as she saw him fighting for their village with a strength she never knew he had, she felt a newfound respect for him.
Both young women held their breaths as the fight grew more intense. The fiery dance of their combined chakras was mesmerizing, the air itself seeming to crackle with the raw power. It was a sight that would be etched into their memories forever.
Beside her, Amy Udahona, a fellow kunoichi in training observed with keen interest. Though civilian born her eyes were just as sharp as those shinobi raised. She dissected every move, every strategy. Her crush on the blond ninja was as much about his spirit as it was about his potential. Seeing him stand up against a powerful opponent, even one who had once been his sensei, filled her with a warmth that rivaled the fire before her.
Above the village, the full moon cast a silver glow on the scene, illuminating the fiery spectacle. The leaves of the giant trees whispered secrets to the wind, as if aware of the monumental moment that was unfolding below. The clanging of metal and the roars of both human and Pokémon filled the night, echoing through the streets of Konoha.
As the battle raged on, the connection between Naruto and Ninetales grew stronger. Each of their movements seemed to be in perfect harmony, their spirits intertwined in a fiery embrace. It was as if the very fabric of the universe had bent to their will, allowing them to create a power that was both beautiful and terrifying.
The air grew hotter, the flames brighter, and the ground trembled beneath their feet. The villagers who had been drawn to the commotion watched in awe and fear, knowing that they were witnessing something extraordinary. Even Mizuki, who had sought power at any cost, could feel the tide of the battle turning against him.
Suddenly, with a roar that could have been heard for miles, Ninetales unleashed a torrent of fire, a blast so intense that it seemed to swallow Mizuki whole. The treacherous sensei was no match for the combined might of the Hidden Leaf's jinchuriki and his fiery ally.
When the flames died down, Mizuki lay on the ground, defeated and broken.
The Hokage, watching from his office, let out a sigh of relief. He had seen the potential in Naruto, but even he had not expected such a display of power and courage.
As the Hokage stood to leave his office, he knew that he had a new ally to train and a new chapter to write in the history of the village. And somewhere in the shadows, two hearts swelled with hope and excitement for what the future might hold. For they had seen the birth of a hero, and in that moment, nothing felt more real or more alive than the love that burned within them for the boy who had harnessed the power of the Fox of Flames.
Two days later, the academy buzzed with excitement and whispers of the battle that had occurred under the moonlit sky. The students had heard the tales of the fiery duo who had taken down the traitorous Mizuki. Some had even caught a glimpse of the blazing Ninetales that had fought alongside the village's most notorious outcast.
Naruto walked into the classroom, his head held high, the new headband of a graduate proudly adorning his forehead. It was a stark contrast to the one he had worn just days before, the one that bore the symbol of a failed student. The whispers grew louder as he approached his desk, the weight of his new status heavy on his shoulders.
The students looked at him with a mix of awe and curiosity. Some were afraid of the power they had heard he now wielded, while others saw him as a beacon of hope, a reminder that even the most unlikely could achieve greatness.
As he took his seat, Iruka-sensei entered the room, his eyes sweeping over the students before landing on Naruto. His proud smile was like the dawn breaking over the horizon. He had always known that there was something special about the boy, and now the world knew it too.
"Alright, everyone," Iruka announced, his voice cutting through the murmurs like a sharpened blade. "Today, we'll be announcing the team assignments for the new genin. Remember, these teams are not just about power. They're about balance, trust, and growth."
Naruto's thoughts wandered as his sensei began to read out the names. His mind was still racing with the events of the night, the power he had discovered, and the bond he had forged with Ninetales. He barely registered the names of the first few teams. It was only when Iruka reached the end of the list that he snapped back to reality.
"Team 7," Iruka said, pausing for a moment as if he could feel the weight of the room's anticipation. "We have... Uzumaki Naruto." The whispers grew louder, a mix of excitement and uncertainty. "Hyuuga Hinata." A collective gasp. "And Udahona Amy." The room was ablaze with murmurs, eyes flicking to the girl sitting in front of Hinata.
"Your sensei will be Mitarashi Anko."
Naruto felt his heart race. He had hoped for this moment, to be placed in a team with those he had come to care for. To have a chance to protect them, to stand beside them as equals. He looked at the two girls, their faces a blend of shock and determination. This was his chance to prove himself, not just to the village, but to himself.
Hinata's eyes met his, and for a brief second, he saw something in them that made his heart skip a beat—pride. It was a look she had never given him before. It was a look that said she believed in him, and that belief was more intoxicating than any power or victory he had ever dreamed of.
Amy, on the other hand, had a steely resolve etched into her features. He knew she had her own battles to fight, her own demons to conquer, but she had chosen to stand with him, and that meant the world to him.
The rest of the team assignments were a blur as they gathered their things and made their way to the training grounds. The whispers and stares of their classmates didn't bother them anymore. They had a mission, a purpose. They were Team 7, and they were going to be the best.
Once outside, the three of them took a moment to look at each other, the gravity of the situation settling in. "Thank you," Naruto said, his voice a mix of humility and determination. "For believing in me."
Hinata blushed, her eyes dropping to the ground. "It's... it's not about believing in you," she stuttered. "It's about trusting that together, we can do great things."
Amy nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "We're all outsiders in our own way," she said. "But together, we're a force to be reckoned with."
Naruto felt the warmth of their words seep into his soul, filling him with a strength he had never known. He knew that with them by his side, he could overcome any obstacle, face any enemy, conquer any challenge.
The trio made their way to the training grounds, their footsteps echoing off the ancient stones. As they approached the designated meeting place, they spotted a figure standing tall in the center, her back to them. She wore the standard jonin outfit of the Leaf Village, but there was something... off about her. Her demeanor was unmistakable, a blend of fierceness and mischief that could only belong to one person—Mitarashi Anko.
As they grew closer, she turned to face them, her one visible eye gleaming with excitement. "Ah, Team 7," she said, her voice a mix of gravel and honey. "I've been waiting for you."
Without a moment's hesitation, she tossed a trio of scrolls at them. "These are your final exams," she said, her grin growing wider. "If you pass, you're officially genin. If you fail..." Her smile turned predatory. "Well, let's just say you don't want to find out."
Naruto looked down at the scroll in his hand, his heart racing. The seal on it was unlike any he had ever seen before. It pulsed with a dark energy that sent a shiver down his spine. The words etched into the parchment were in a language he couldn't read, but he could feel the challenge it presented.
"Open them," she instructed, her voice a whip crack in the still air.
With trembling hands, they each broke the seals. Out from the scrolls emerged a thick cloud of smoke, coalescing into three monstrous creatures. Each one was more terrifying than the last, their eyes gleaming with malicious intent.
The creatures roared, charging at them. The ground trembled beneath their massive feet. It was clear that these were no ordinary tests. These were creatures of the shadows, summoned forth to push them to their limits.
Naruto looked to his teammates, and in that moment, their eyes met. They had come so far, and now they faced their final hurdle. With a silent nod, they turned to face the beasts, their hearts beating in unison.
The battle was swift and fierce. Ninetales' flames danced with the light of the setting sun, casting long shadows across the training field. Amy's tactical mind was on full display as she directed them with precision, using her knowledge of the scrolls to anticipate the creatures' every move. And Hinata, her gentle spirit now a raging storm, used her Byakugan to spot weaknesses that only she could see.
Together, they moved as one, their attacks a symphony of fire, claws, and water. The creatures roared in fury, but it was clear that they were outmatched. The bond between the three of them, while young, was unbreakable, a force that even the most powerful jutsu could not hope to defeat.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the last creature fell, defeated by the combined might of Team 7. The air was thick with the scent of victory and the promise of what lay ahead.
Anko watched them, her face unreadable. Finally, she nodded, a smirk playing on her lips.
"Not bad," she said. "Not bad at all. You've all passed."
The three of them looked at her in disbelief, then at each other. They had done it. They were genin.
But even as they basked in the glow of their triumph, they knew that this was only the beginning. The world was vast and filled with danger, and they had much to learn. But with their bond, their determination, and the power of their friendship, they were ready to face whatever lay ahead.
Together, they left the training grounds, the whispers of the villagers following them like a ghostly chorus. They had proven themselves, not just to the Hokage and their new sensei, but to each other.
The night was young, and their adventure had only just begun.
The whispers grew quieter as they moved through the village streets, their steps now lighter with the burden of their new title. The chill in the air seemed to hold a hint of excitement, as if even the wind knew that something great was on the horizon.

An: and thats where we stop this time. Yes I have placed Naruto on a team with 2 of the girls that wil be in his harem. I personally know so little about the female genin availble at this point in the canon, so I created Amy. She however, is not just a harem character, but has her own story waiting in the wings. I also made Anko their sensei because I like what I have seen of her character in other fanfics.
Next time, it is time for the dreaded D-ranks.
As always if you have a comment or questions leave me a review, or send me a PM. I hope you are enjoying the story, and I'll see you all next time.
