6 Incredible Heroes Divided By 3
Before you read: We'll see some things happen that I foreshadowed in previous chapters. If you don't remember all of the previous events, I suggest you go back and read my previous chapters. Particularly chapters 9, 10, and 11. Enjoy.
Stupid Genius
People at SFIT were running in fear in the dark knight as they screamed while glancing over their shoulders. Go Go and Dash were the first to arrive on the scene before Wasabi's car pulled up along with the Incredibile. Wasabi got out of his car with Fred and Honey Lemon while Bob, Helen, Dash, and Jack-Jack emerged from the Incredibile. The only ones who were not present were Hiro, Violet, and Baymax, all of whom were still on their way to the action.
Dash glanced around before he asked, "Hey, where's Violet and her boyfriend?"
Go Go looked at him and the others while she said, "Hiro told me they're on their way, but they'll be a few minutes."
Bob showed a serious expression as he said, "Well considering the commotion I'm not sure we can stand around to wait."
Go Go agreed as she seriously said, "Me neither."
Helen also agreed as she hastily asked, "Where's Callaghan?"
Honey Lemon turned and pointed her finger as she said, "A witness said he was heading for Professor Granville's office."
They all hurried off as they approached the building but stopped when the outer wall of the office was suddenly smashed open. They were startled as they stared at the hole and saw Professor Callaghan standing on behind the desk as he stared out at them. The present members of Big Hero 6 were somewhat shocked to see that he was dressed the same way he was when he became Yokai. He was wearing his matching black suit and jacket and a kabuki mask identical to the very same one he wore before.
Honey Lemon was shocked as she said, "Professor Callaghan?"
He leaned forward with his fists clinched as he spoke in a threatening tone and said, "Big Hero 6! I knew you'd come! I see you're two members short, good thing you brought the Incredibles, you'll need their help!"
Wasabi was confused as he asked, "What are you doing?!"
Callaghan spoke angrily as he exclaimed, "Taking back my life!"
Fred spoke in a confused tone as he pointed at Callaghan and said, "Okay, he sounds like a classic escaped supervillain, but I'm still confused."
Callaghan spoke threateningly as he held out his right hand and said, "All you need to know is that I'm free and no one will stand in my way this time!"
A bunch of Microbots suddenly flew out of the office and floated in the air together, looking almost like a black cloud. The heroes stared at the Microbots in shock except the Incredibles who were somewhat baffled as they cocked eyebrows.
Bob watched them move as he said, "What the…"
Some of them flew and hit him in the face, knocking him down, and then the others flew in groups and attacked the others.
Callaghan looked down at them all as he yelled, "You're not the only ones who have upgraded!"
They all moved to dodge them, some of the Microbots hit the ground and scattered before rejoining and attacking following them. Some Microbots flew together and formed a platform that carried Callaghan as he flew out of Granville's office and watched all the other heroes. Bob got up and fiercely punched a cluster of Microbots that came at him, causing them to scatter, but they rejoined and formed a shape that hit Bob again. He grew angry but kept punching, and while he managed to destroy a few Microbots there were still many more.
He became frustrated as he watched them scattered and rejoin as he said, "It's like punching water!"
Dash ran while two small swarms of Microbots chased him, nearly crashing into him a couple times as he became scared. Go Go skated behind him as she used the discs on her hands to destroy some Microbots, but the rest of them kept flying. One colony of Microbots chased her as she swiftly dodged it and lead them away from Dash while he kept running. Helen held Jack-Jack as she stretched her body out to dodge three swarms of Microbots that flew at her, then Jack-Jack shot his laser eyes and managed to destroy one of the swarms.
He smiled at his mother as she proudly said, "Good job sweetie."
Another swarm flew at Helen's head and hit her as her neck stretched backwards before returning to its usual shape. Fred breathed fire and destroyed one cluster of Microbots but two more swarms flew at him from the sides slammed against him before flying away. They returned and he jumped to dodge them, meanwhile Wasabi swung his plasma blades and destroyed some Microbots that came at him. He saw a small swarm flying at him but he shot his plasma projectiles and destroyed it, but another one hit him from behind. He got back up screamed in fear as it came flying back, but one of Honey Lemon's chem-balls hit it and exploded. She ran to him and helped him up, then she made more balls come out of her purse and threw them at three more swarms, blowing them up.
She smiled at Wasabi as she cleverly said, "I always know how to get a positive reaction!"
He smiled at her before he shoved her aside and sliced a Microbot cluster with his left plasma blade, but the undamaged ones reformed. He activated both his plasma blades and sliced rapidly but then they started swirling around him and Honey Lemon like a tornado. Dash was still running when a bunch of Microbots flew in front of him and joined to form a wall, which he slammed into before falling down. Go Go skated to help him but a small stream of Microbots flew in front of her feet and tripped her as she fell down next to him. Fred kicked some Microbots and made them scatter but they reformed and engulfed his hands and bound him to the ground. A bunch of balls of Microbots hit Bob before they all collided against him and covered his body, leaving only his head visible. He desperately struggled as he grunted, but the Microbots managed to even restrain his immense superstrength. More Microbots also swarmed over Helen and took Jack-Jack from her as they floated in the air with him and restrained him. Helen reached from him but a bunch of Microbots engulfed her hands and feet before flying apart, stretching her arms and legs straight out to the side. She desperately struggled but they were starting to stretch too much as she grunted and could not pull her arms free.
Seeing all the heroes dealt with, Callaghan fiercely said, "It's over!"
Suddenly Baymax's left rocket fist came flying and smashed the platform of Microbots that Callaghan was floating on. He fell a few feet before they reformed underneath him and he looked to see Baymax's rocket fist return to him.
Baymax was hovering in the air with Hiro and Violet on his back as Violet bravely said, "No! We're just getting started!"
Callaghan spoke with hatred as he said, "I knew you'd show up eventually!"
He raised his hands to his sides and more swarms of Microbots flew and floated in the air around him while he stared at Hiro, Violet, and Baymax.
Hiro was shocked as he stared and said, "My new Microbots?"
Callaghan spoke seriously as he said, "Yes! You've outdone yourself!"
Hiro glared at him as he said, "Get the mask!"
Callaghan threw his arms out toward them and the clusters of Microbots flew at them, but Baymax smashed the first one with his hands.
The Microbots flew and rejoined as Hiro fiercely said, "We can't let him get away!"
Violet tapped his shoulder before pointing down as she said, "But we have to help the others!"
He looked down and saw her family and his friends and he softened a bit as he said, "You're right! Baymax, give us some air support, we'll help the others!"
Hiro let go of Baymax while Violet let go of him; Hiro ignited the thrusters in his gloves and boots while Violet made a force-field around herself and floated. Baymax flew through the air as he punched and kicked every group of Microbots that flew at him, and though they kept rejoining he managed to fend them off. Hiro flew down and landed by Wasabi and Honey Lemon in the vortex of Microbots swirling around them, then he threw his arms out as the red dots in his gloves lit up. He used the electromagnets in them to repel the Microbots, sending them away before Honey Lemon hugged him. They all ran off and helped the others while Microbots flew around them; Violet flew to Dash before dropping her force-field.
He groaned as she helped him up and concernedly asked, "Are you okay?"
He looked at her as he held his head and gratefully said, "I think so. Thanks."
They looked and saw Go Go getting back on her feet as some Microbots were about to hit her while she wasn't looking.
Violet slyly grinned at Dash and said, "Want to play ball?"
He smiled deviously as she jumped and made a force-field around herself and him, then Dash used his superspeed to make it role like a ball. They crashed into the Microbots that were flying at Go Go, destroying some and scattering others before they stopped in front of her.
Violet dropped her force-field as Go Go smiled at them and commended, "Nice job, you two are the coolest siblings ever."
Violet smiled before looking serious as she said, "Thanks, now let's stop Callaghan!"
Dash and Go Go started zooming around as they fought more Microbots while a colony of them flew at Violet. She turned invisible and it missed her while Callaghan glanced around, unable to see her but watched the other heroes. Wasabi ran to Fred and used his plasma blades to destroy some of the Microbots holding him down.
Fred happily got up and said, "Yes! Fredzilla is back in action!"
He jumped in the air and used his fire to destroy more Microbots flying through the air, then he landed and kept running. Hiro ran to Bob and used the thrusters his gloves to burn some of the Microbots restraining him, weakening their combined hold over him. Bob grunted before he flexed his muscles and pulled himself free, destroying the Microbot glob holding him.
He smiled down at Hiro as he said, "Thanks for the help."
Hiro smiled when a bunch of Microbots formed a giant fist that flew at him from behind, Bob ran past him and smashed the giant fist with one punch. The Microbots scattered and flew through the air before Bob and Hiro took off running to do more fighting. Jack-Jack was still restrained and floating in front of Helen as her arms and legs were still being stretched straight out to her sides.
She grunted as it grew more uncomfortable, then Violet turned visible behind her and said, "Don't worry mom! I'll help you!"
Helen looked at her over her shoulder and urgently yelled, "Vi look out!"
A small cluster of Microbots hit her and knocked her aside before Callaghan hatefully said, "I knew you'd reveal yourself to help your family."
Violet looked at him before she fearfully looked to see a bunch of other clusters of Microbots flying toward her. She threw her hands out and created a force-field dome over herself; the clusters crashed into her force-field and broke apart before reforming. They kept regrouping and crashing against her force-field, bombarding it as she cringed and struggled to maintain it. Seeing his sister in trouble and his mother in pain, Jack-Jack grew angry as electricity surged from his body, destroying the Microbots holding him. He then morphed into his monster form and lit on fire as he angrily ran and climbed on the Microbot clusters holding Helen's left arm and leg. He clawed at them and smashed them with his flaming body before he freed her foot, then he jumped and did the same as he freed her hand. Her body was slung to her other restraints before she stretched out her arm and grabbed a piece of debris which she swung and used it to destroy her other Microbot restraints. She let out a sigh of relaxation before Jack-Jack teleported into her arms in his normal form and made happy baby noises.
She smiled at him lovingly before turning to Violet as he said, "Mommy's very proud of you sweetie, now let's help your sister."
Jack-Jack immediately shot his laser eyes and destroyed the Microbots bombarding Violet's force-field, then she dropped it and sighed in relief. She smiled at her mother as she walked to her, then they both ran off to help the others while Callaghan kept watching. Hiro was by himself as he used his magnetic gloves to repel clusters of Microbots that flew at him, but he was struggling. He panted heavily when the Microbots in front of him joined together to form a replica of Baymax, much to Hiro's shock. The Microbot Baymax prepared to punch him but its arm was cut in two when a force-field projectile flew and sliced it.
Hiro turned and saw Violet running toward him with a fierce expression, then she threw another force-field blade that cut off the other arm.
She ran in front of Hiro and made a big force-field bubble over her head as she yelled, "No one messes with my boyfriend!"
She threw the force-field bubble at the Microbot Baymax, breaking it to pieces as the Microbots scattered through the air.
Hiro was impressed as he smiled and joked said, "Wow. Remind me never to breakup with you."
She smiled at him before she created two small force-field bubbles over her hands and used them as boxing gloves to smash some small groups of Microbots. Hiro stood with his back to hers as he used his magnetic gloves to repel some Microbots that flew at them. They looked up and saw a whole lot of Microbots form a big hammer that was going to smash them, but Baymax flew at it and smashed it. He landed beside them and launched both his rocket fists straight out to his sides, destroying tons of Microbots. His rocket fists returned but then his arms and legs were restrained by a bunch of Microbots that joined to form tendrils.
Hiro and Violet both exclaimed, "Baymax!"
They tried to help him but more Microbots formed a wall in front of them, then Callaghan flew down on his Microbot platform and floated in front of them.
They both glared at him as Hiro demanded, "Why are you doing this Callaghan?!"
Violet agreed as she angrily questioned, "Yeah! I thought you regretted all the bad stuff you did?!"
Callaghan clinched his fists as he angrily leaned toward them and said, "The only thing I regret is giving myself up to the police!"
He then waved his hand diagonally and a bunch of Microbots flew by and Hiro and Violet narrowly ducked.
Hiro glared at Callaghan as he exclaimed, "But you deserved to be in prison after everything you did!"
Callaghan raised his right hand and clinched it into a fist as he angrily said, "I was trying to make Krei pay for what he did to my daughter! He's the one who should be behind bars!"
Violet became somewhat curious as she said, "But Hiro and his friends saved your daughter, they got her out of that other dimension!"
Callaghan pointed at Hiro as he said, "Yes! They saved Abigail, but they sent me to jail and left Krei to roam free!"
Hiro held his right hand out toward his mask, but Callaghan blocked it as he made some Microbots fly in front of Hiro's glove, and they were attracted to it. They covered Hiro's hand as he tried to shake them off, but then Violet slammed both her force-fields against them and broke them apart.
Hiro glared at Callaghan as he yelled, "So what?! You're going to go after him again?!"
Callaghan pointed his left thumb at himself before pointing his right finger at them yelling, "No! I'm going to clear my name! I'm going to prove to the world that I was right and you were all wrong! Then I'll finally have my old life, and my daughter back!"
Violet was confused while Hiro angrily said, "You're crazy Callaghan!"
Callaghan then fiercely yelled, "Call me Yokai!"
He then had some Microbots cover his fists as he punched Hiro and then Violet, knocking them both to the ground. He then turned to Violet as he prepared to attack her while she tried to get up, but Hiro launched a mini-magnet from his glove. It landed in front of Violet and repelled Callaghan's Microbots back, as he floated backwards and made a sound of fight. Violet looked up as Hiro ran to her and crouched down beside her while holding up his left hand toward Callaghan.
He glared at him as he fiercely threatened, "Stay away from her!"
Yokai angrily stared at Hiro as he spoke with disdain and said, "You're just like Tadashi! You try to help others by sticking your nose in places you shouldn't. And one day you will suffer the same fate that he did!"
Hiro glared at him with hatred while Violet was shocked by his behavior and also worried about Hiro while she watched him from on her back. Yokai prepared to attack again when suddenly the Microbot wall was smashed to bits by Bob and they looked to see that Baymax was now free and all of the others were together. Helen stretched her arm out toward Callaghan but he flew back on his Microbot platform until he was out of her reach. Her arm returned to its usual shape before she helped Hiro and Violet onto their feet, then they all glared at Callaghan.
Hiro stared at him as he fiercely demanded, "How'd you escape prison?!"
He spoke ominously as he replied, "Just like you, I have people looking out for me."
He then raised his right hand and clinched his fist, prompting almost all of the other Microbots to fly in front of him. They joined together to form a large humanoid golem that stomped its feet and prepared to attack while they looked scared.
Hiro glanced around in thought before his eyes widened and he looked at Bob saying, "Bob! Clap!"
Bob looked down at him in confusion as he said, "What?!"
Hiro took Violet's hand and dragged her behind Bob with the others while he urgently said, "Clap your hands as hard as you can! Use all your strength! Trust me!"
Bob didn't know what Hiro was thinking but trusted him as he pulled his arms back and then clapped his hands as hard as he could. His clap caused a powerful sonic boom that broke apart the golem of Microbots and knocked all of them back.
Bob was amazed while Fred happily said, "Sonic clap! Just like the Impeccable Bulk! Freddy is so happy!"
Bob smiled down at Hiro as he said, "Great idea Hiro!"
He smiled at Bob before glaring at Callaghan as he fearlessly said, "Give it up! You can't beat us all together!"
Yokai spoke ominously as he pulled out the Energy Amplifier and said, "I don't have to beat you. I already have what I came for."
They gasped in horror Hiro said, "The Energy Amplifier!"
Hiro ignited his thrusters as he tried to fly while Baymax did the same, but Callaghan hit them both with some Microbots before Helen helped them. He flew away on his platform while all his Microbots flew with him, looking almost like a sandstorm as they flew off into the sky. Realizing they couldn't stop him from escaping, Hiro and the others watched him troubled expressions as he flew off into the night.
Later at Big Hero 6's lair
The heroes were still in their costumes but took off their masks and helmets (except Baymax) as they looked at the monitors. The monitors showed different images of Callaghan that Baymax recorded and uploaded into Basemax's databanks. Cass was also present as she had already been informed about the attack at SFIT and was also concerned.
Hiro was sitting in his chair as he stared at the screens and worriedly said, "This is really bad! Callaghan has my new Microbots AND the Energy Amplifier!"
Cass agreed as she worriedly pointed at Hiro and said, "I'll say! That kind of power in the wrong hands could bring disaster."
Helen had her hands on her hips as she troubledly looked at Cass and said, "That's an understatement. When Hiro and his friends won the Baxcorp Technology Expo, Larry and his father used their Energy Amplifier to power their weapon."
Dash shrugged his shoulders as he curiously asked, "But what's he want it for?"
Hiro was stressed as he sat in his chair and said, "It doesn't matter! We have to find him and get it back!"
Violet stood next to him as she patted his shoulder for comfort, calming him down a little bit but he was still stressed.
Bob eyed Hiro somewhat suspiciously as he said, "Yeah, and those Microbots are trouble too. Speaking of which, I get that he stole them from you, but why did you build so many?"
Hiro held his hands out on the table with a troubled expression as he said, "That's another thing! I didn't! I only made a bucket-full of them."
Violet vouched for him before looking at Baymax as she said, "It's true. He showed them to me. Wait! Baymax, didn't you say one of them was missing."
Baymax looked at her as he said, "Yes. Hiro only made a relatively small amount of Microbots, but one was misplaced."
Helen held her chin as she looked down and deduced, "Callaghan must've used the missing one to reverse engineer more of them."
Dash curiously looked at Hiro as he said, "So he stole one of your Microbots and made more of them?"
Hiro shook his head as he held his head in frustration and said, "No. Baymax told me about the missing Microbot days ago, while Callaghan was still in prison."
Go Go agreed with a serious expression as she leaned back in her seat and said, "Yeah, besides, SFIT's got a great security system. There's no way he could've snuck in and stole something without being seen."
Honey Lemon showed concern as she curiously asked, "Then who did take that Microbot?"
Hiro stressfully held his head as he leaned over and said, "I don't know. There's so much we still don't know."
Cass looked at the time and walked to Hiro as she said, "Well I do know one thing. It's getting late. Hiro, we should get you home so you can get some rest."
He looked at her as he prepared to argue, "But Aunt Cass…"
Helen then took a sleepy Jack-Jack while she lectured, "Listen to your aunt Hiro. It's been a long night and we could all use some rest. We won't solve anything while we're tired."
Go Go yawned as she stood up and said, "Yeah, sleep does sound good."
Dash yawned and said, "But I'm not tired."
Bob smiled as he playfully picked up Dash and said, "Come on speedster. You need to make a pitstop."
Wasabi started walking while he said, "They're right! I gotta hurry. I've got my alarm clock set, so I need to get to bed to make sure I get at least eight hours of sleep."
Violet yawned and tiredly said, "Yeah Hiro. I'm pretty tired too."
Hiro finally surrendered and said, "Okay, Goodnight everyone."
Baymax followed him and Cass as they all walked out of the lair; meanwhile Yokai walked to Evelyn in their hideout. She smiled deviously as he handed her the Energy Amplifier and she stared at it as she held it in both hands.
She then looked at Yokai as she grinned and asked, "How did the fight go?"
He stared at her as he obediently replied, "The Microbots performed perfectly, but the Incredibles and Big Hero 6 managed to destroy many of them. Hiro also taught Mr. Incredible a new technique that helped them defeat them."
Evelyn was not deterred as she smirked and said, "No problem. There's plenty more where they came from. What matters is that all of the pieces are in place. The portals are in production, the Underminer's excavating, Sickness' new weapon is ready, Larry has his suit, and we have the Energy Amplifier."
Larry came over with an annoyed expression as he said, "We still need that one last thing."
Evelyn smiled deviously as she said, "Don't worry. The stage is set and soon the show will begin. Hiro will do the rest for us."
The next day
Violet got off of a streetcar and went into the Lucky Cat Café herself as she said, "Hi Cass."
She finished pouring a customers drink before she happily walked to Violet and said, "Violet! Hi!"
She gave her a small hug before Violet politely pushed her off and said, "Yeah, nice to see you too."
Cass smiled politely before curiously glancing around while she said, "Sorry, where's your family?"
Violet glanced from side to side while she answered, "My parents have Jack-Jack and are hanging out at Fred's place. And Dash ran over to Heather and Ethel's place for some fun, I'm pretty sure he wants another race."
Cass smiled as she graciously said, "Well that's good. At least Heather will make sure he stays out of trouble."
Violet showed an amused smile before expressing concern as she asked, "How's Hiro?"
Cass also showed concern as she leaned closer to her and said, "He's been in his workshop all day, staring at this conspiracy wall he has set up. I tried to get him to take a break earlier but he won't listen to me. Could you try to get through to him."
Violet nodded as she sincerely said, "Sure."
Cass smiled graciously as she held Violet's shoulder and said, "Thanks. You're a good girl."
Violet showed a flattered smile before Cass turned and walked over to one of her customers, then Violet walked back to the workshop. She found Hiro intently staring at a board he set up with pictures and articles held up by tacks, and he had red yarn hooking some together. Baymax was standing right behind Hiro, watching him while Hiro scratched his chin intensively with his focus on the wall.
Violet showed concern as she walked to him and said, "Hiro?"
Hiro heard her and glanced at her as he politely said, "Oh hi Violet."
Baymax waved his hand in a circular motion as he said, "Hello."
Hiro looked back at his board while Violet walked at him and curiously glanced at it before she asked, "What's this?"
Hiro briefly placed his hand on her shoulder before moving his hands over articles and pictures while saying, "Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out the villains' plans, so I put together this board showing what we know so far. We know that Sickness returned and stole information about Project Silent Sparrow, we also know how he freed Insti-Gator from prison. We also know he somehow used the Silent Sparrow files to make his own portal, which he used to copy some files from E, on the same night the Underminer escaped from prison. On that same night, someone also stole your dad's old Incredibile, we don't know who but Mirage is still a suspect. Also, we know that Black Viper helped Larry escape, and he later returned with a new super suit that had all of our weapons. While he attacked us with his new suit in Metroville, someone sprung Callaghan from prison here in San Fransokyo. Abigail's still a suspect, but we're still unclear whether or not she was involved. Finally, we know that Callaghan somehow got his hands on one of my new Microbots and reverse engineered them to help him steal the Energy Amplifier."
Violet stared at the board with a bit of concern as she nodded before looking at Hiro while saying, "Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. So what do you think?"
Hiro showed a baffled expression as he said, "I don't know. I feel like all of this has got to be connected but I can't figure out how yet. It's like a big puzzle but some of the pieces are still missing. There's got to be something we're not seeing."
Violet smiled kindly as she nudged him and said, "Take a break Hiro. I can tell you've been working hard. Rest your brain for a few minutes. We could go to the aquarium."
Hiro smiled politely at her before looking back at his board while saying, "Thanks Violet but I can't stop now. I feel like I'm so close."
Violet frowned and then said, "Hiro, remember what I said last night about you becoming obsessed?"
Hiro listened and turned to her as he apologized and said, "I'm sorry. I know you're worried, and I know I'm getting carried away, but I can't just forget about it. It was bad enough before but now Callaghan's out there with the Energy Amplifier."
Violet then curiously asked, "Does this have anything to do with what he said to you about Tadashi last night?"
Hiro denied it before honestly pinching his thumb and finger close together while he said, "No! Well… Okay, maybe a little."
Violet shook her head before she sincerely said, "I know he hurt you and it's his fault Tadashi's gone, but revenge won't solve anything."
Hiro held his palms up as he honestly said, "It's not about revenge. Callaghan already took away someone I cared about, I can't let him do that again, to me or anyone else. I can't just stand by and do nothing while he's out there doing who knows what."
Violet understood his concerns and realized she could not change his mind, so she smiled and asked, "Well, could you at least join me for lunch? We can talk about this while we eat, and some brain food might help."
Hiro was conflicted as he did not want to turn her down, then Baymax tilted his head as he said, "Lack of food consumption can lead to significant health problems."
Hiro smiled as he surrendered, "Okay, if it will make you feel better."
She smiled thankfully as she took his hand and they both walked out of the workshop while Baymax followed them. They sat at a table in the café as Cass happily made them both lunch while Baymax watched them both, and they discussed the situation quietly so no one could hear them.
Violet picked at her food with her fork as she curiously asked, "So how do you think all of these things are connected?"
Hiro held a sandwich in his hands as he urgently said, "I don't know but someone else has to be involved. All this stuff that's been happening lately can't just be a coincidence. It's way too coordinated."
Violet was intrigued as she curiously said, "You think all the bad guys are working with someone else too?"
He showed a troubled expression as he replied, "Yeah, I think Go Go's right about there being a spy. I'm not sure about Mirage but someone else is definitely pulling strings."
Violet glanced to the side briefly as she said, "It would have to be someone really smart and sneaky."
Hiro agreed as he looked down worriedly and said, "Yeah, and that's what worries me. Whoever they are, they're probably really dangerous, and working with Callaghan, Sickness, Larry, Insti-Gator, Black Viper, and the Underminer just makes things worse. And with the Energy Amplifier they're now more dangerous than ever. It could be the Omnibot attack, the attack on Krei Tech, and Jordan's orbital weapon all in one."
Violet became worried as she clinched her teeth and glanced to her other side as she said, "Yeah, that would be bad."
Hiro saw her nervous and smiled as he proclaimed, "Don't worry Violet, I'll figure out what's going on and how to stop it. I swear."
Violet's expression softened but she was still worried about him as she said, "Hiro…"
He raised his hands before resting them on the table as he honestly said, "I know you're worried about me, and that means a lot to me, but I have to figure this out. And when I do I'll tell you and all the others so we can stop it together."
Seeing his mind was made up, she rested her hand on his and sincerely said, "I know I can't stop you, so just promise me one thing: that you won't do anything stupid."
He smiled somewhat cockily as he said, "Don't worry. I promise."
Meanwhile in Metroville
Lucius was in his living room as he watched TV, showing a news report about Big Hero 6 and the Incredibles fighting Yokai at SFIT.
He stared at the screen deductively as Bluff Dunder said, "Looks like supers might be losing their touch. Big Hero 6 and the Incredibles failed to stop another escaped supervillain. The dangerous Yokai once again attacked the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, stealing some kind of powerful device believed to be connected to Jordan Baxter's attack in Metroville. The two teams protected everyone on the campus, but the villain escaped with his prize. Another recent failed attempt to stop criminals by the two most popular superhero teams."
Lucius turned off the TV before his wife angrily shouted, "You better not be thinking of running off to San Fransokyo for no day saving!"
He groaned in annoyance before looked in her direction and angrily said, "Will you chill out woman?! I'm not going anywhere! I'm just gonna call Marcus to see what he has to say about all this."
Honey was still irritated as she shouted, "Okay, but no sneaking off for family bonding!"
He rolled his eyes before pulling out his cellphone as he called Wasabi and held his phone to his ear, waiting for an answer.
He got an answer as he heard Wasabi happily say, "Hey Uncle Lucius."
Lucius smiled as he stood up and started walking while moving his other hand as he said, "Hey Marcus. I just saw the news about your fight with that Yokai guy last night. You and your friends doing okay? Bob told me about your history with this guy."
He walked over to the window and gazed outside while Wasabi edgily replied, "We're all a bit worried that Callaghan's back, and that he has the Energy Amplifier. Hiro's taking it worse than the rest of us, he's getting really obsessed with finding him and all these other bad guys. I have to admit I'm pretty scared. Callaghan's the first bad guy we ever fought and he almost killed us, and all these other villains starting to get to me."
Lucius smiled calmly as he said, "Trust me, I know what you're going through. Bob, Helen, and I have been through moments like this. I could tell you some stories but I don't want to start monologuing. Point is I'm here for you and if you want to talk all you have to do is call."
Wasabi spoke with appreciation as he said, "Thanks Uncle Lucius. You're really cool."
Lucius smiled somewhat cockily as he said, "Yeah."
Later that night, Evelyn was in their hideout as she typed on her computer, looking at some specs and calculations. Sickness flew to her with his rocket boots before he landed while she turned to him with a curious expression.
He walked to her with an evil grin as he said, "Our spy says everything's ready."
Evelyn smiled deviously as she said, "Good. Send Yokai and Viper to the Lucky Cat Café. I have a regularly scheduled program to interrupt."
She typed on her computer and opened a window that showed a live video of Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack in Frederickson Manor. A hidden camera in the guest room recorded Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack on their bed watching TV, dressed in their pajamas. Dash and Jack-Jack were happy while Violet seemed bored as she watched the show, she was too busy thinking about Hiro.
Fred came in and looked at them with a mildly troubled expression as he said, "Hey guys, we might have a problem."
Just then, Bob and Helen walked in and sternly looked at them as Helen questioned, "Have any of you kids been in Stan's secret superhero den?"
They looked at their parents as Violet honestly answered, "I haven't."
She turned to Dash who innocently said, "Don't look at me."
Fred curiously eyed Jack-Jack as he asked, "What about you Jack-Jack?"
He did not really understand as he smiled at them and made happy baby noises before giggling, confusing Fred.
Violet rolled her eyes before she looked at her parents and curiously asked, "Why?"
Bob pointed his right thumb to the side as he said, "Because Stan just told us that one of his super suits is missing."
Dash glanced at Violet as he innocently said, "Well we didn't take anything."
Violet nodded in agreement and then Bob showed a tense expression as he said, "Well if it wasn't you kids then I'd say we have a big problem."
Helen showed a serious expression as she speculated, "Could it have been Mirage?"
Fred smiled cockily as he went to them and said, "No way! There's no way she could've gotten into his den and stolen one of his suits without him catching her."
Bob agreed as he reasoned, "I have to agree with Fred. Stan wouldn't let Mirage, Winston, or Krei anywhere near his superhero den unless he was watching them."
Helen thought before motioning for Fred to come and stretching her arm to grab the door knob while saying, "Hmmm… Okay, we'll tell Stan you kids didn't do it. Don't stay up too late."
They walked out and closed the door, leaving the kids alone as Violet curiously asked Dash, "Why would someone take one of Boss Awesome's suits?"
He cluelessly shrugged as he mumbled, "I don't know."
Jack-Jack was watching the TV again as made happy baby noises, prompting Violet and Dash to look at it again. Suddenly the screen changed and only showed Evelyn's black and white circular patterns which put Violet and Dash into trances as they stared at the screen like zombies.
Jack-Jack was confused before he happily laughed and looked at them saying, "Circles."
They did not reply as they kept staring at the screen, confusing Jack-Jack as he looked at them and made a noise of curiosity while tilting his head.
Evelyn was watching on her screen with disappointment before she smiled while saying, "A shame my hypnosis doesn't work on the baby. Oh well, Violet will do nicely."
Jack-Jack stood up and walked toward them on the bed, but Violet kept staring at the screen as she reached for her cellphone on the nightstand. She called Hiro before holding the phone to her ear while staring at the screen in her hypnotized state with Jack-Jack passing Dash.
Meanwhile at the Lucky Cat Café
Hiro was in his bedroom with all the lights on as he stared at a screen showing Callaghan while Baymax stood on his charger. Hiro was focused on the screen until he heard his phone ring and picked it up to see that he was getting a call from Violet.
He answered the phone while staring at his computer while he said, "Hey Violet what's up?"
Violet was still hypnotized as she stared at the TV while saying, "Hey Hiro. I was thinking and I have an idea how you could beat Callaghan the next time we see him."
Hiro kept staring at his computer with a skeptical expression as he indulged, "Oh yeah? What's that?"
She was still in a trance as Jack-Jack came closer while she answered, "Use your stealth suit instead of your regular suit. When we fought Callaghan last night I had an advantage when I turned invisible. And he doesn't know about your stealth suit so you could catch him off guard."
Hiro's eyes widened with realization as he smiled excitedly and said, "Hey that's a great idea! My sonics could also help get his mask to end his control over the Microbots! Thanks Violet! You're the best!"
Violet kept staring at the TV while Jack-Jack reached toward her while she said, "You're welcome Hiro. See you tomorrow."
Hiro smiled as he said, "Sure thing. Bye."
Violet hung up just before Jack-Jack accidentally knocked the phone out of her hand while reaching toward her face. The TV stopped showing the hypnotic symbols before showing the TV show again, snapping Violet and Dash out of the trances.
Violet and Dash both shut their eyes before looking around in confusion as Violet asked, "What happened?"
As she finally responded, Jack-Jack confusedly put his arms down and sat down while she and Dash confusedly looked around before they talked to each other.
Evelyn saw everything from the hideout as she nervously stared at the screen before smiling as she said, "That was close, the baby could've ruined it. But she played her part. The line's been cast, now it's time to reel in the fish."
Back in his room, Hiro was staring at his computer intently as he said, "Now I still have to find Callaghan."
Baymax turned his head as he said, "I have found him."
Hiro was shocked as he turned his chair to face Baymax while he said, "What?!"
Baymax pointed at the window as he said, "I detect Professor Callaghan and Black Viper across the street."
Hiro stood up in shock and disbelief as he hurried to the window and saw Yokai and Black Viper crossing the street, marching toward the café.
Hiro was horrified as he said, "They're here! They're coming for me!"
Baymax raised his left finger as he answered, "I will contact the others."
Hiro ran to Baymax with his hands out before he seriously looked to the side while saying, "No! They'll never get here in time, and I can't let Viper or Callaghan hurt Aunt Cass. I need to handle this on my own!"
Baymax disagreed as he said, "Hiro, you will not be able to defeat Black Viper and Professor Callaghan by yourself."
Hiro smiled slyly as he pointed at Baymax before holding his hands straight out while he said, "Oh yes I will! It's time I follow Violet's advice! If I use my stealth suit I can sneak up on both of them and get the mask from Callaghan. Wait here!"
Baymax remained on the charger as he watched Hiro hurry downstairs, he was careful not to disturb his aunt as he hurried down to the workshop.
He entered and put on his stealth suit while he fiercely said, "No one comes to my house to mess with my aunt!"
He put on his suit, including the top of his mask with his mouth still uncovered when he put on his goggles.
Suddenly the lenses lit up as they glowed blue while he said, "What the-"
He stared into space with his arms up at his sides but then lowered them as he just stared forward while his arms fell to his sides. The garage door opened to reveal Yokai and Black Viper standing just on the other side, staring at him as Black Viper smiled evilly.
She looked down at him as she asked, "Ready to go?"
Hiro covered his mouth to complete his ninja outfit as he simply said, "Ready."
Sometime later, Yokai flew the three of them to SFIT on a platform of Microbots before landing and Hiro walked to the door to the robotics lab in his stealth suit. He pulled out his student ID and used it to unlock the door, then Yokai and Black Viper followed him inside. He led them through the building and they stopped when they finally reached his lab and saw their target: Hiro's Maxi-Bot. He picked up the remote and got it online as it started walking while Black Viper had her arms folded with an evil grin on her face.
She spoke into her commlink and called Evelyn as she said, "The genius came through. The package is secure."
Evelyn smiled evilly as she ordered, "Callaghan will deliver it to me, bring Hiro to the warehouse. Sickness will be ready for Phase 2 tomorrow night."
Author's note: That's it for chapter 13. There's still much more to be done, but we're nearing the climax of the story. Now Evelyn has control of Hiro in his stealth suit. They also have his Maxi-Bot. The villains' plan is coming into fruition and this naturally means more trouble for the heroes. As you can see the villains are already finding ways to use Hiro and Violet's feelings for each other against them. I won't spoil too much but there's more trouble on the way. Now, some good news is that Jack-Jack can't be hypnotized, so he and Baymax are the only two who are immune to it. They're going to need every advantage they can get. Please review.
