Touch

Chloe noticed but refrained from saying anything to Lucifer but she noticed that when at work if she needed to do anything that meant walking away,he would lightly touch her hand or her as she walked past. She hadn't noticed when they first started dating but the longer they dated the more she noticed.

She was sat at her desk in the precinct watching as he shared a joke with Ella,while he was with Ella she decided to carry out a quick experiment. She stood up and went to the coffee machine but kept an eye on Lucifer.

She saw when he noticed she wasn't at her desk and saw him almost frantically cast her eyes around looking for her,she drank her coffee while surreptitiously watching him,she saw when he noticed where she was and he breathed a sigh of relief.

She returned to her desk to finish her paper and he sat opposite her,before he knew it he felt her foot touch his ankle,it didn't move anywhere else she just hoped it gave him the comfort he needed.

As they drove out to speak to a couple of witnesses she noticed that he wasn't fidgeting other than flexing his fingers so she reached over for his hand,he looked at her questioningly and she placed his hand on her thigh. As soon as he touched her he felt instantly calmer,he couldn't help but think that she now knew how he was feeling but wouldn't say anything until he was ready to talk.

"Trixie and I missed you the last couple of nights,why don't you come over? You could stay the night if you like". She said to him as she drove.

"I would love to come over but why don't you both stay at the Penthouse tonight? And I'll drive Beatrice to school in the morning and meet you at the precinct". He suggested.

"Ok, we'll stay with you tonight but Lucifer you know you can come over whenever you like,you don't need an invitation". She told him.

"Thank you Detective,you don't know how much that means to me". He replied

"Actually,I think I do". She said softly.

When they picked Trixie up she was excited to see Lucifer with her mom. She loved that they were dating and now that he was back from Hell but she knew something was bothering him but mom had told her not to say anything to him about it. She was even more surprised to find they were going to stay with Lucifer that night,however it was when they got to the Penthouse that she saw why he had wanted them to stay. Lucifer had made an alteration

Trixie now had her own room and she loved it.

Chloe couldn't help but smile and hug Lucifer tightly,which he returned and if she was honest it was a moment that really drove home what was going on with him.

Later that night after Trixie had gone to bed,Lucifer and Chloe sat outside on the balcony with Chloe laying back against him, the two of them just enjoying being together. The silence was nice and neither one of them really wanted to break it but then Lucifer spoke.

"It was over a thousand years Chloe and I never thought I'd ever see you again,I dreamt of you all the time and it was both a blessing and a torture". He said to her quietly.

She turned to face him and he saw tears in her eyes as she saw the same in his. She was about to say something when he continued.

"I had come to accept that I would never again see your face,get to watch you roll your eyes at me or see your smile or heat you laugh but then one night I went to bed and when I woke up I was in LA and at times I still think I'm dreaming so I touch you to make sure you're not a figment of my imagination. If it makes you uncomfortable I'm sorry and I'll do my best to stop". He finished.

"I don't need you to stop Lucifer, you're not making me uncomfortable I was just worried about you". She said to him

With that she pulled him to her and kissed him trying to convey as much meaning into it as she could.

"It doesn't matter how you got here just that you are here". She told him.

They eventually got up and went to bed,Chloe laid down in the middle of Lucifer's huge bed and pulled him over to her,she kissed him with both love and passion. He moved on top of her without breaking the kiss. She could feel his arousal and wrapped her legs around him as she took him inside her,she held him against her not wanting to break contact with him.

Their love making was desperate but satisfying and afterwards they just laid there holding one another, finally he rolled off of her and she rolled onto her side but not before she grabbed him and took him with her.

They were spooning and he wrapped his arms around her followed by his wings,his arm went around her and one hand rested on one of her breasts,he went to move it but she rested her hand on top of his.

"Leave it,I like it there". She said to him,

"I love you Chloe". He mumbled into her hair.

"I love you too Lucifer". She responded.

They were laid like that for a while until she heard his breathing change so she knew he was asleep. She laid there, closed her eyes and offered a prayer to Lucifer's father.

"Just leave him alone now,he's been your punch bag for too long. I'm going to help him heal and you're going to let him return home" and with that she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
