Interlude: All Might Vs. The Hulk
Hello everyone! I'm sorry it's been so long. Things have been very stressful and tough with work, school, and family life. I wanted to get SOMETHING out for you, and I was kicking this around in my head as a short story and thought it would be a good interlude story for you guys. For some context, I don't know if I want to make this story canon in the Powerless Universe. If so, then I would probably say it happened about a year before the events of the book. So, I hope you enjoy it, and I'll get back to updating as quickly as I can.
Musustafu, Japan – 10:00 AM
A small, stray cat was foraging for food in a dark alleyway. It jumped up on one of the full trash cans and began to rummage through its contents when a sudden sound behind it caused it to jump, hissing in fear. A blue wall of energy had appeared out of nowhere at the end of the alleyway, growing larger and larger as the vortex swirled at its center. A few seconds later, the cat leapt off the can in fear as a large, green object was thrown from the vortex and crashed hard into the spot that it once occupied. The large green mass bounced and crashed several times before finally coming to a rest at the end of the alleyway.
After a few minutes, the object began to stir, and an extremely large, green-skinned man slowly staggered to his feet. He stood over ten feet tall at least, with large rippling muscles all throughout his body. He wore no clothes, save for a torn pair of jeans that were ripped off at the knee. The creature let out a deep, guttural growl, clutching his head as if in pain, as it lumbered down the alleyway towards the street.
He covered his eyes as the bright morning sun shined down upon him, trying to block it out and relieve his aggravating headache. As he tried to get his bearings, a loud shriek came from beside him, causing him to flinch and look towards the sound. A middle-aged woman was standing a few feet away from him, pointing at him and shaking in fear.
"M-monster!" She shouted, throwing her purse at him before running in the opposite direction. The purse simply bounced off the creature's chest, harmlessly dropping to the ground below. He had barely felt it but felt himself growing irritated at the woman's words to him. Before he could react, he heard several more screams around him. More people had spotted him and were beginning to panic, shouting and calling him names such as "monster" or "freak".
"He looks mad!" Said one man in the crowd. "He's going to attack!"
"Someone, quick, call for the heroes!" Shouted another woman.
"There is no need for that!" Came loud, confident voice from behind him. He turned to see a man wearing a dark blue jumpsuit with brown armor on his arms, legs, and a matching helmet that concealed most of his face. The armor had a fine grain look to it, as if it was made of wood.
"You have terrorized these poor people long enough, monster!" Shouted the man, pointing towards the creature. "And now, Kamui Woods will put you in your place!"
The creature only grunted and turned to walk away, but before he could, several large wooden tendrils began to wrap around his arms and torso, restricting his movements. Suddenly, he was lifted from his feet and thrown several feet away from where he previously was, finally crashing down hard into the pavement below. The creature slowly stood from the small crater he had just made upon impact. He looked at his assailant, his eyes glowing a green hue.
He was mad.
All Might stretched slightly as he finished his breakfast and morning tea. He had gotten up later than usual this morning and was feeling very well rested. He absently rubbed at his chest, his hands moving over the gaping wound on his side. It plagued him every now and again, usually in the mornings. It was a grim reminder that he was living both as a hero and as a person on borrowed time. As the years went by, the more he was hit with the realization that he had to find a successor for One For All. Every day that passed was another chance that Nighteye's prediction would come true, where he would fall in gruesome battle, and One For All would be lost forever.
Perhaps, maybe he could—
All Might was thrown from his thoughts as he heard a large rumbling explosion, causing the ground beneath him to shake. He looked out the window to see one of the buildings a few blocks away begin to crumble and fall. He coughed in surprise, a small amount of blood seeping from his mouth, as he surveyed the scene. After the moment of shock had passed, he scrambled towards his closet, pulling out the familiar red, white and blue jumpsuit.
It was time to go to work.
The creature roared as it smashed through the large building before it, reducing it to rubble as if it was made of cardboard. He had effortlessly broken through Kamui Woods' defense, surprising the hero as he was thrown into one of the adjacent buildings, knocking him out of commission. The rampage did not end there, however. He began to level and destroy the surrounding buildings, picking up and throwing cars into them, punching effortlessly through the stone and metal, roaring in fury as he did.
"Hey, big boy!" Came a loud voice from behind him. He looked up to see a giant foot slam on top of him, squishing him into the ground. Mount Lady stood defiantly over him, placing her weight on the foot she had pinned him under.
"Step off a bit, will ya!" She said, chuckling at her own joke. Her laughs were interrupted, however, as her foot began to move, and was soon being lifted against her will. The monster was still moving underneath her foot, pushing it upward. She tried to put more weight onto it, but the creature did not relent, finally throwing her off him with an immense strength that surprised her, causing her to fall backwards. She managed to catch herself on the surrounding buildings before she hit the ground, but as she tried to regain her balance, she saw a small green object flying towards her, and to her alarm she realized it was the creature. She reached up and grabbed him, wrapping her fingers around his torso, restricting his movements, but his strength was too much as he wrenched himself free of her grip, leaping towards her and punching her in the cheek. To her shock, it hurt. A lot.
The force of the blow caused her to lose her balance again, this time falling to the ground below. The creature was not letting up on his attack and had seized his chance to leap forward and wrap his arms around her throat, restricting her breathing. She tried to pull him off her, but his grip was too strong despite his size. She began to feel herself losing consciousness when she finally managed to wrench him from her throat, tearing a piece of her costume as she did. She wasted no time and threw him away from her as she gasped and choked for breath, coughing violently.
As she tried to stand, her head was swooning, and she felt something hard hit her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. She looked down to see that the creature had thrown a bus at her while she was distracted, otherwise she would have caught it or dodged it. The weight of the bus and the surprise caused her to fall to the ground again, and she felt something land atop her chest. She saw the small creature standing on her, the veins in his neck bulging as he panted heavily in his rage. He lifted his arms and slammed his fists hard down on her chest, causing her to cry out in immense pain. As he continued his attack, she could feel herself shrinking as she was too badly hurt to stay in her giant size. Once she had returned to normal, her vision was doubled as the creature stood over her, lifting her up by her throat. She struggled, but it was no use, his grip was too strong.
A wave of flames engulfed the creature from behind him, causing him to drop Mount Lady and turn. Behind him stood the imposing form of Endeavor. "Enough, beast!" He shouted. "Now burn!" He continued to use his fire against the creature, which was shielding its face from the attack. To his surprise, the creature began to slowly walk towards him, despite the flames that were engulfing him. He increased the heat to higher temperatures, but the creature was undeterred. Using his Flashfire move, his flames had grown to nearly 2,000 degrees Celsius, causing the creature to slow down slightly, but it did not stop.
"Why won't you fall?!" Snarled Endeavor. He leapt backwards as the creature lunged through his flames, avoiding his attack by inches. The creature looked charred, and by some miracle his only remaining clothing was still attached to his person. The monster roared in fury and lunged again at Endeavor, this time with incredible speed that he did not expect for something as large as him. He doubled over as he felt the creature's fist collide with his solar plexus. He felt several ribs break, and he coughed up blood and bile from the attack. The creature pressed forward, his knee meeting Endeavor's face, shattering his nose and sending him flying backwards. He tumbled and crashed several times before coming to a grinding stop at the end of the road.
Seconds later, he heard a loud impact and felt the ground tremble beneath him, and he looked up to see the large green feet of his enemy standing before him. Endeavor was wounded, badly, but still tried to stand. A second later, he felt a large hand wrap around his throat, lifting him upward and off his feet, and was brought face to face with the creature. As he stared deep into its eyes, he could almost feel the depths of the rage that drove it.
"What…are….you?" Said Endeavor.
The creature lifted his fist, and Endeavor braced himself, but the blow never came. He felt a strong gust of wind breeze past him, causing him to open his eyes. To his shock, All Might was standing between him and the beast, having caught its massive hand in his own. The creature looked just as stunned as he did, obviously surprised that this stranger had suddenly appeared before him and managed to stop his attack without much effort.
"That's quite enough, friend," said All Might. "I think you should put him down and pick on someone your own size!"
The creature complied, dropping Endeavor, and growling at All Might. It roared and lunged at him, attempting to throw several punches, but All Might was too fast, dodging each attack with relative ease. After getting the creature away from Endeavor and other bystanders, he finally saw his chance to fight back. "It's time to end this!" All Might declared, balling his fist and preparing himself.
"Detroit….SMASH!"
He delivered a powerful attack right into the creature's jaw, causing its head to lurch to the side. But to All Might's shock, the creature not only remained standing, but was rooted firmly in place. It looked as if the punch had barely affected him. With his fist still on his green enemy's face, it looked at him and growled menacingly.
"Uh….I'm sorry…?" All Might said, chuckling nervously.
The monster roared and kicked him with tremendous speed and force that caught the Number One Hero off guard, sending him careening away from the battle scene, causing him to shout "SHIIIIIIIIIT-" almost involuntarily as he did. He fell hard into the ground, but his momentum carried him, causing him to bounce and smash into the ground and through various buildings, attempting to stop himself by clawing at anything he could grasp, but to no avail. After a few moments, he finally came to a stop.
"Oof," he said, lifting and propping himself up slightly against the ground. "That was unexpected. But it'll take more than that to stop me—"
He was cut off at the loud rumble of the ground underneath him as something large and green had just landed directly in front of him. Before he had time to react, the creature had grabbed him by the leg and began to swing him around like an angry toddler to its ragdoll, smashing him several times on the ground beneath them. This continued for at least ten seconds before the creature threw him back into the ground, creating a giant crater.
All Might was completely winded, a small, wheezing whine escaping his lips. "Uuuuughh….owww.…" he said weakly. The creature started to walk away, satisfied having given his quarry a thorough thrashing, but stopped when he saw All Might stand back up.
"You're pretty strong," said All Might. "But you're going to have to do better than that!"
The creature growled in frustration. "Smiley man make Hulk angry," he said in a deep, booming voice.
It talks?! All Might thought, surprised, before speaking aloud. "Hulk? Is that who you are?"
"Hulk no like smiley man!" Said the Hulk. "Smiley man try to smash Hulk! HULK SMASH SMILEY MAN!"
The Hulk ran after All Might with incredible speed. Luckily, this time he was prepared for it, and met the monster head on. As the two began to meet each other blow for blow, All Might was analyzing his opponent's tactics.
This guy is stronger than he looks, thought All Might as he pressed his attack. And he looked pretty strong to begin with. I have to end this fast before more of the city is leveled and people get hurt!
All Might broke from the attack and lunged at the Hulk with a full power Delaware Smash, which caused the Hulk to recoil from the force of the blow, but he remained standing, countering All Might's attack by clapping his hands together, causing a surprisingly powerful gust of wind to take All Might off his feet. Correcting himself in mid-air, he had just enough time to block a follow-up blow from the Hulk, grabbing both fists as they lunged at him. The two grappled for a moment before the Hulk roared and threw All Might into the building behind them.
All Might smashed through the glass of the office building, crashing into and breaking several desks and cubicles before coming to a stop upon breaking through a wall into a conference room. All Might struggled to his feet, coughing up a little blood. The monster was extremely powerful, more so than many of the foes he had fought in the past. The longer they fought, the stronger the creature seemed to get. He was already using One For All at 100% capacity, but he knew that he would have to surpass that in order to beat this creature. But doing so was a risk, as it would reduce his time that he could be in this form.
I have to finish him fast, thought All Might. This isn't going to be fun.
Down on the broken streets below, the other heroes were attempting to help the remaining citizens evacuate the area while tending to the other wounded heroes. Mount Lady had regained consciousness along with Kamui Woods, and they were helping a wounded Endeavor off the ground when a large explosion emanated from the buildings in front of them.
"All Might's fighting the monster," said Mount Lady. "Their power is unimaginable. All Might may have met his equal here."
"Impossible," said Endeavor. Despite his animosity towards him, he knew that All Might was, for all intents and purposes, nearly unbeatable. It was something that vexed him to no end throughout his entire professional career, even during his time at UA. However, at this moment in time, he was secretly comforted by the fact that All Might was as powerful as he was, as this creature was stronger than anything he had ever seen before. If this creature truly was stronger than All Might, everything he had worked for with his masterpiece would be in jeopardy.
You'd better win, All Might, Endeavor thought.
All Might and the Hulk continued their battle across the city. More and more buildings were being leveled as they fought. All Might tried to recall how much time had passed since they started. Minutes? Maybe hours? He didn't know, but it seemed that with every punch, with each passing second, the monster continued to grow stronger, but All Might, having had to go beyond 100% capacity just to keep up with the Hulk, was already beginning to feel his power weakening.
This is bad, All Might thought as he dodged another punch. Every second that passes I get weaker while he gets stronger. I have to figure out a weakness. I have to—
All Might suddenly had a thought, his mind drifting back to his school days at UA. His master had told him that sometimes, the best way to defeat an enemy is not through fighting, but through talking. "If you seek to understand an enemy," she had said. "Their motives, their desires, you can sometimes find a way to beat them without fighting."
All Might knew that this creature wasn't much of a talker. In fact, it seemed to only know one emotion: rage. But he was quickly running out of ideas. He had to do something. As he blocked the creature's kick, he could feel his arms crack under the force, causing him to fly backwards. However, he was quick to recover. The Hulk charged him once again, but this time, All Might was ready.
"Stop, Hulk!" All Might shouted, throwing up his arms in surrender. The Hulk quickly skidded to a stop, looking at the hero in confusion. All Might cleared his throat and continued.
"Why are you doing this?" He asked. "Why are you destroying our city? What have we done to earn your anger?!"
The Hulk considered him for a moment, casting a glare at the number one hero and breathing heavily. "Hulk fall out of sparkly wall," the Hulk said. "People call Hulk a monster. People run from Hulk. Tree man attack Hulk. Big Lady step on Hulk. Fire man try to burn Hulk! Smiley man hurt Hulk! HULK MAD! HULK SMASH!" He finished his sentence with emphasis by smashing his fists together, causing a loud crashing sound from the sheer kinetic force.
All Might was at a loss for words. That's it? He thought incredulously. This whole thing was nothing but a temper tantrum?!
The Hulk continued to pant in anger, but did not advance on All Might. Seizing his chance, All Might began to approach the creature slowly, his hands still raised to calm him. "I'm sorry for hurting you," he said. "I promise, no one is—"
All Might was interrupted when something hard and heavy collided with him, sending him careening into another building. The Hulk watched in shock as the hero was swatted away. Looking back at the perpetrator, he snarled in anger, instantly recognizing who it was.
"Well, well, well," said Abomination. "Looks like we're in for a little fun!"
All Might felt the hard brick wall of the office building slamming against him. The force of the momentum that carried him was enough to break the wall down without issue, but it didn't make the bricks any softer against his skin. After crashing through several more walls and coming to a grinding halt, All Might lay there for a moment, clutching his injured side and coughing up blood. He had no idea what hit him, but he let his guard down for a second and it was enough for whatever it was to get the drop on him.
He slowly tried to rise to his feet, but the immense pain from his side caused him to halt. He looked at his hand and realized that his side was bleeding. In truth, he didn't know how he was even still alive, considering the battering he was used to taking on a daily basis. Perhaps this the event that Nighteye foresaw, the one where he finally would…
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a loud roar, followed by a tremendous crashing sound. He shakily raised himself off the ground and wabbled over to the open hole in the wall he had just crashed through, looking down in shock to see that the Hulk was now the one in a large crater on the street. As he struggled to get up, something even bigger came plummeting from the sky and landing atop him. If All Might believed that the Hulk was a monster, this new creature made him look rather tame and normal by comparison. It was large with a grayish-green, discolored skin tone. It had large spines and spikes protruding from its arms, shoulders, back and head, as well as large ears that were shaped like batwings. All Might had never seen anything like it before, but his gut was telling him that this creature was far from friendly, and perhaps even more dangerous than the Hulk was.
The creature began raining heavy fists down on the Hulk, who was doing his best to block and dodge them. Finally, after a few seconds, the Hulk managed to kick the monster off him, sending him careening into another building. All Might seized his chance to leap back to the Hulk's side as he struggled to his feet.
"Are you alright?" Asked All Might. He tried to help the Hulk up, but he shook him off.
"Hulk fine," said the Hulk. He growled as the creature before them rallied, emerging from the rubble of the building it had been sent into.
"What is that thing?" Asked All Might.
"Abomination," the Hulk snarled. "Bad man. Enemy."
"Is he going to hurt people?" Asked All Might.
"Doesn't care," said Hulk. "Will hurt anyone to get to Hulk."
"Then the enemy of my enemy is my friend," said All Might, stepping into a battle pose. "Let's take him down together."
"Hulk no need help," said Hulk gruffly.
"I believe it," said All Might. "But I need your help. People are going to die if we don't stop him soon. I can't let that happen."
The two were broken from their conversation by the sound of deep laughter. Abomination continued to cackle as he brushed debris and dust from his shoulders and arms. "Thought I swatted you away," he said to All Might. "You're not as weak as you look, I'll give you that. But I strongly advise you to step aside, little fly, before I gotta swat you again."
"Its easy to swat the fly when its not looking," said All Might. "A big guy like you doesn't seem like the type to attack when a man's back is turned."
"Whatever gets the job done," said Abomination.
"Enough talking!" Shouted the Hulk. "Hulk SMASH!"
"Took the words right out of my mouth, big guy," said All Might. The two took off towards the Abomination faster than the eye could blink, engaging in their fierce skirmish. Their blows crashed like thunder as the two heroes quarreled against their foe. All Might's analytical mind took over as he assessed the situation: Abomination was much bigger than the Hulk, but unlike the latter, who seemed to grow stronger the angrier he got, Abomination's strength seemed to remain the same as they fought. What's more, even though the Hulk was unbelievably strong, his attacks were feral, without form or function. A wild animal lashing out against a threatening external force. But Abomination was different. His movements suggested advanced military training, allowing him to fight on par with the Hulk despite how strong he continued to grow.
All Might could feel he was fast approaching his limit. He knew if he reverted to his depowered form, he could very well lose his life that day. But he had to keep fighting, for who knew how many lives could be lost this day if he failed.
He was shaken from his thoughts as Abomination grabbed him by the throat, slamming him into the ground, while simultaneously delivering a side kick to the Hulk, sending him flying away. All Might was pinned to the ground, struggling fruitlessly against his aggressor. "So, I hear you're the strongest this place has to offer," said Abomination, smiling maliciously. "I'm not impressed."
"You…caught me….on a bad day," said All Might, straining against the Abomination's hand around his throat. He could feel his vision doubling, and if he didn't get air soon, he would surely blackout.
"c'est la vie," said Abomination. He grabbed his throat with the other hand as well and began tightening his grip. "Give my regards to whatever god you pray to, chump."
As All Might continued to struggle, he could feel the air completely cut off from his throat. His vision was going black, and his face began to tingle. He couldn't let it end this way. He had to do something, he had to—"
He felt the air rush back into his lungs as Abomination let go of him. His vision returning, he looked up to see the Hulk had returned and was barraging their foe with a flurry of powerful attacks. "Smiley. Man. Not. For. You!" He shouted, delivering a final punch that sent Abomination careening into the crumbling building behind him. All Might began to stagger to his feet as he felt a large hand pick him up and stand him upright.
"Get it together, Smiley Man," the Hulk said gruffly. "Hulk can't protect you forever."
"Thanks," said All Might hoarsely. They both turned sharply as they heard terrifying screams in the distance. All Might looked in horror as Abomination picked up a bus full of civilians and chucked it towards them. Without missing a beat, the Hulk jumped into the air and caught the bus with ease, landing and setting it down carefully, before lunging into another grappling skirmish with the Abomination. All Might ran to the bus and wrenched the doors open, directing everyone to run for safety.
All Might jumped back in surprise as the Hulk smashed into a pile of rubble behind him. Abomination was looking haggard from his battle with the two heroes but was nevertheless still standing strong. All Might quickly ran a tactical analysis on the creature. He was battered and bruised and looked extremely angry. Usually, enemies were more dangerous the more you backed them into a corner, but as this monster was a trained combatant, there was a chance that if he was made more emotional, he would begin to lose his focus.
He could use that.
"What are you starin' at?!" Snarled Abomination.
"I have a question," said All Might. Abomination cocked his head, eyes narrowing in suspicion at his enemy's change of tactics.
"What is it?" He said.
"You're not adopted, are you?" Asked All Might.
Abomination only stared at him. "What?"
"I'm just curious, because you seem to bring new meaning to the phrase 'only a mother could love.'" All Might finished.
Abomination was taken aback slightly, looking at All Might first in confusion, then anger. "What did you say to me?" He snarled.
"Sorry, do I need to dumb it down a bit for you?" All Might continued. "Let me try again: you heap big ugly."
Abomination growled and began stomping towards All Might. "Say that again, puny man."
"What, you still don't understand?" Said All Might. "I guess its not your fault. I can't exactly tell where your ears are. Maybe I need to use sign language." All Might proceeded to flip Abomination the bird, which only angered the creature even more.
"I'll crush you!" He shouted, breaking into a full sprint towards his enemy. All Might only smiled. He had him right where he wanted. As the monster threw a punch towards him, he leapt effortlessly over his arm, striking him hard in the face with a well-timed kick. Abomination roared in pain, grasping his nose. All Might took the chance to deliver a Texas smash into the monster's back, sending him careening away.
Just in time, the hulk had rallied and emerged from the pile of rubble, just in time to see Abomination hurdling towards him. Seizing his chance, he delivered a powerful punch to the creature, sending him staggering back, dazed towards All Might.
"Sorry about this," said All Might. "But look at the bright side, every punch to the face is an improvement on your looks." Abomination roared and swiped at All Might, who continued to dodge and weave his erratic attacks.
"Stand still, you little -!" Before he could finish, the Hulk delivered a strong punch to Abomination's face, sending him crashing into the ground several feet away. He struggled to his feet, exhausted and beaten badly, but roared and ran at full speed towards the two heroes.
"You ready, Hulk?" Said All Might. Hulk gave him a curt grunt and a nod. "Good. Let's smash this punk."
All Might and the Hulk both lunged with incredible speed towards Abomination, startling their enemy that they could still move so quickly. He had no time to react as the two began their final attack.
"DETROIT…." All Might began.
"HULK…." Said Hulk.
"SMASH!"
The two fists connected in a powerful uppercut, landing squarely on the chin of their target at the same time. The blow caused an explosion as the sound barrier was broken, causing Abomination to fly straight upward at an incredible speed, only for him to come crashing down a minute later with a deafening crash, leaving a massive crater in the middle of the street. All Might and Hulk cautiously approached the crater, ready to begin fighting again at any moment, but relaxed when they saw Abomination was out cold.
Hulk and All Might grabbed several metal girders that were strewn across the battlefield, bending them around Abomination, securing him from moving once he awoke. All Might drew a sigh of relief, turning to his massive green friend. "You did good, Hulk," he said, extending his hand. "If it wasn't for you, there's no telling if we could have put this guy down. You're a hero."
Hulk looked suspiciously at the extended hand before slowly taking and shaking it. All Might looked curiously at his friend as he noticed something strange: he seemed to be getting smaller. At first, it was barely noticeable, but the more he relaxed, the smaller he seemed to get. Soon, he was shrinking at a rapid pace, alarming All Might in the process, until the giant green monster was replaced with a thin and spindly man, who began to sway back and forth as if he was dizzy.
"Easy there," said All Might, steadying the small man. It took a few minutes, but the man seemed to be coming out of his stupor, wiping his eyes and brushing his hair out of his face.
"Where am I?" He said. "What's going…." He gasped in shock as he looked at the destruction around him. "Oh no…not again….did I do this?"
"Uh," All Might said, confused. "Its….kinda complicated." He gestured to the unconscious Abomination at their feet, and realization began to dawn on the man's face.
"I remember now," said the man. "We were fighting the Leader, next to some giant portal he had created. Abomination must have knocked me into it. But where—"
"Bruce!"
The two men turned at what sounded like rocket engines in the distance, observing the source of the noise to be a man covered head to toe in red and gold armor. He landed gracefully next to them before surveying the area around him, including the unconscious Abomination. The man whistled in amazement as the helmet split open to reveal a handsome man with a black goatee underneath.
"Looks like you had your own kinda fun here," said the man. "You okay, Bruce?"
"I'm fine, Tony," said Bruce.
"Who's your friend?" said Tony, looking at the smiling hero next to him.
"Uh, I don't quite know," said Bruce sheepishly.
"Just a passerby," said All Might, shaking Tony's hand. "You can call me All Might."
"Ironman," said Tony. "Thanks for helping take down Abomination."
"If it wasn't for Bruce, here, I don't know if I could have," Laughed All Might, patting Bruce on the back. However, since he was no longer in his "Hulk" form, All Might misjudged his strength and accidentally knocked him down flat.
"Sorry about that," said All Might, helping the man up.
"Its okay," said Bruce. "What happened to the Leader, Tony?"
"Well, after you and Abomination went through the portal, it was a little touch and go, but the Leader is in custody," said Ironman. "The Leader created the portal to find and recruit allies from strong universes. But we're not sure how long the portal will stay open, so we have to get back now."
"Understood," said Bruce, turning to All Might. "Do you mind…." He gestured to Abomination.
All Might, Bruce Banner, and the man named Ironman had made it back to the portal, with All Might carrying the still unconscious Abomination. As they made their way back, Bruce and Tony had formally introduced themselves, telling him they were from a universe of superheroes as well. They then regaled him with tales of their exploits as the Avengers, and their mission to protect their and other worlds from evil like Abomination. All Might was astounded to hear about multiple universes and thrilled to see that there were heroes like himself in those other worlds. He had many questions, but time was running short, and they had to get back through the portal. Ironman and Bruce assured All Might that now they knew of this universe, they would have representatives from their government reach out to theirs to establish relations.
"Maybe we could work together again sometime," Said Bruce, shaking All Might's hand.
"I'd look forward to that," said All Might, waving goodbye as they exited their universe, and the portal came to a close. All Might was left pondering the implications of this inter-dimensional partnership when his thoughts were interrupted by someone shouting his name. He turned to see an injured Endeavor limping towards him.
"What are you doing here, All Might?!" He said angrily. "Where is the green monster?!"
All Might paused for a minute. "What green monster?" Said All Might, smiling. He walked past Endeavor as he continued to barrage him with questions, but All Might ignored them. He was tired, beaten and sore. He knew his time limit was running out, and he had to get home quickly. Leaping into the air and bounding off buildings, he began to feel excitement in his heart as he thought of the battle he had with Hulk and Abomination.
This is going to be fun, he thought.
