Mission 13: Andrew's Visions... Zordon?
After visiting Grid Battle, Andrew is asleep and gets nightmares about the Ranger battles of the past and present. He sees himself, Perry and John lying on the ground about to die. That is until Zordon appears in front of him and extends his blue hand.
Zordon: "Andrew get up."
Andrew: "Ugh, what's going on? Where am I?"
Zordon: "You reached out to the Morphing Grid and now you see the past and present. But you have not seen the future. What you see here is only a possibility of what happens if you lose."
Andrew: "What do you mean if I lose?"
Zordon: "Remember, you are not guaranteed victory so it's important you don't give up. What you are seeing here is a possibility and nothing else? Remember, what you do today will affect the future."
He suddenly wakes up when his alarm turns on. He is covered in sweat and is breathing heavily.
Andrew: "Oh, damn. Another of these weird dreams."
Hours later he shows up to HQ and meets up with John and Perry.
Andrew: "Guys we gotta talk."
John: "What's wrong?"
Perry: "Does it have to do with the Grid again?"
Andrew: "Yes, Zordon invaded my dreams and I don't know what's going on."
John: "Guess what, it happened to us too."
Andrew: "What?"
Perry: "Yes, when we got close to the Grid, some of the energy you touched went to us too. And now we see what's going on. It seems the Grid is warning us about the future."
John: "Yeah, it's clear that Zordon wanted us to see the future."
Andrew: "Then you get what's going on. I saw us dying and we were bleeding out. I can't lose you guys! I just. Can't!"
John: "Relax! Listen whatever dream you had relax. We aren't going anywhere as long as we work together. Come on!"
Perry: "Andrew, we're gonna be okay. Relax."
Suddenly the alarm turns on and another Roid is attacking the city. Commander Leon shows up with officers Banks and Bratt.
Banks: "We have a Roid alert in the middle of the city!"
Bratt: "It seems this one is made out of car parts!"
Leon: "Be careful Rangers proceed with caution."
In Unison: "Yes sir!"
The Rangers morph quickly and head into the city. Meanwhile the Roid who is named Mechanus arrives with Vipers trying to steal more Enetron.
Mechanus: "Well, it's time to steal some of that Enetron! Hurry! Before they show up!"
John: "I don't think so tin can! You're not gonna steal that Enetron!"
Mechanus: "Damn you! You fucking Rangers! Time for you to die!"
He shoots and energy beam but the Rangers jump and avoid the attack.
Perry: "This hunk of metal is getting on my damn nerves. We gotta get that Enetron!"
Andrew: "Leave it to me."
Andrew slams the ground with his Gorilla stomp attack which pushes him down. But then suddenly he has a flashback of the dream he had and freezes.
Mechanus: "Hey Ranger what are you looking at? Come get me!"
John: "Hey what the fuck is wrong with you? Get him man!"
Andrew: "I can't I'm frozen. I don't know what's wrong with me!"
Mechanus: "Fine, I'll take you down!"
He charges a shot that almost kills Andrew but Oscar and Jake show up to help.
Oscar: "You alright man?"
Andrew: "I don't know what's wrong with me!"
Jake: "Seems you are frozen with fear. I will take care of the Enetron."
Jake fights the Vipers and takes control of the Enetron but Mechanus manages to steal some of it. Perry, John and Oscar try to get it back from him and even engage in combat. But Mechanus uses a flash attack that pushes them away.
Mechanus: "Nice try Rangers, but we have enough! See you soon!"
He escapes with the Vipers and the Rangers look confused.
John: "What the hell was that dude? What happened?"
Andrew: "I don't know, I was stuck. I can't do this!"
Perry: "Guys enough, let's get back to base."
Back at HQ, Commander Leon sits in front of Andrew to ask him about what happened.
Commander Leon: "What's going on why did you freeze?"
Andrew: "Look, I don't know what happened. I suddenly had a vision and then I froze."
Commander Leon: "Don't tell me it's because of the Grid laser."
Andrew: "Whatever energy I touched it affected the others but I keep seeing visions of my friends dying. I see my friends bleed to death and I can't do this. I'm too scared that I'll lose them."
Commander Leon: "Well, I understand, but we had a mission and it seems that the Morphing Grid has affected you. The only way we can resolve this is to go back to where this started."
Meanwhile Enter and Escape get parts of the Enetron ready for Messiah who is trapped.
Enter: "Excellent we will have more than enough to finally free you soon."
Messiah: "Great, but be careful. Venjix has tried to steal some of that for himself. I've had to keep him away from here."
Escape: "But why? I thought he was a friend."
Messiah: "No, he wants the energy to revive himself after those other Rangers defeated him. And I'm not talking about the RPM team."
Enter: "Wait is that the Beast Morphers team?"
Messiah: "Yes, he is not dead. He is trying to come back and I won't let him."
Escape: "Then we have to continue this. We need more Enetron."
Messiah: "Yes, send Mechanus back to the city. Hopefully he'll finish off the Rangers including the Blue Ranger. He was frozen and it's clear he is scared."
Back at Grid Battle, the trio head back to the Morphing Grid with Leon and some scientists.
Commander Leon: "Listen, Andrew I want you to face your fears. I know that this stuff will kill anyone who isn't a Ranger so this is on you."
Andrew: "Okay I'll give it a shot again."
He approaches the green laser slowly but this time it absorbs him shocking the others.
John and Perry: "Andrew NO!"
The alarm goes off again and Commander Leon gets a distress call from Bratt.
Bratt: "Sir Mechanus is back!"
Leon: "Rangers, go we'll figure this out."
The rest of the Rangers head out while the green laser grows. In the city Mechanus attacks the city again and this time the Vipers try to steal more Enetron.
John: "Oh great not this Tin Man motherfucker."
Mechanus: "Hey asshole, you're missing your wimpy Blue friend."
Perry: "Don't worry you giant metal tin can, you're gonna wish you never came back."
Oscar and Jake fight the Vipers while John and Perry try to take on Mechanus.
Meanwhile Andrew ends up in a crystal fortress where he spots Zordon.
Andrew: "What am I doing here?"
Zordon: "It seems that you froze in fear. You were afraid of what would happen. Look, your friends are fighting for you. They are trying their best even without you but they need you."
Andrew: "But why did I freeze? Why am I too afraid? Why can't I get through this?"
Zordon: "Your fear is paralyzing you but you must overcome it. What you experienced is just a small sample of the Morphing Grid's energy. You and your friends are now part of Power Rangers history but you must make your own path. Just like the others. The Visions you experienced were a warning sign."
Andrew: "Will this happen to me again?"
Zordon: "No, when you touched the laser you got a small taste of the Morphing Grid. And since you are a Power Ranger that energy will be with you always."
Andrew: "So, what does this mean for me? Does this mean I have new powers?"
Zordon: "No, what you saw was a possibility. However, you can stop that from happening here. You can stop this from ever happening. You must let go of your fears and take them on."
Andrew: "You're right. I'm gonna do this. Even if these visions go away I'm gonna keep fighting for what's right."
Zordon: "Excellent. I will disappear as I cannot maintain this form. But I will be with you in spirit."
Zordon pushes him back outside the laser and Leon is surprised to see him.
Leon: "Andrew! Are you okay?"
Andrew: "Yes, I gotta go help them."
He races out to help and back at the city, the Rangers are on the ground after Mechanus manages to defeat them.
Mechanus: "Hahahaha you are done! I will destroy all of you!"
John: "Crap, we're so fucked!"
Perry: "Look it's Andrew!"
Andrew: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA MECHANUS!"
Andrew charges towards Mechanus and manages to out fight him. He then uses his super strength to lift him up and throw him to a wall. Then he jumps and then tosses him across the road. The Rangers get up and gather around him.
Jake: "Good to see you again."
Oscar: "Let's do this man."
Andrew: "Right!"
John: "Alright let's pull out the big guns. Special Ops cannon!"
The five of them unite behind the cannon and John pulls the trigger. The blue laser hits Mechanus and he dies in the explosion. Back at HQ everyone celebrates except Andrew who looks into the distance.
John: "Hey Andrew, what's up?"
Andrew: "I was thinking about Zordon."
John: "Yeah, those vision hit us too. But the reason it didn't affect us is because we knew what we were getting into. Your fear paralyzed you but you still did it."
Andrew: "Don't worry about that it won't happen again."
The group celebrate while the Buddyloids arrive with snacks.
