The next morning Yuya was preparing herself for the date with Yuzu.
After taking a quick bath Yuya goes to her room wearing her pajamas and a towel around her neck.
"Just calm down... if you act nervous you'll just make mistakes." Yuya thinks to herself as she tries to calm her nerves.
"Just like Mom said, just enjoy the day with her and then... tell her how... you fell." Yuya thinks as her heart starts racing again and she blushes.
"I should just get ready." she tells herself to just think about something else.
"Huh? Where are all my clothes?" Yuya asks as she opens every drawer and closet in her room but finds them empty.
"Weird where could-" she thinks before she spots a set of clothes on her bed.
"Seriously!" she groans when she sees it.
"So that's what's going on. Since she seems persistent about me wearing this I doubt she'll even let me come close to my other stuff." Yuya says as she admits her own defeat and changes into the outfit on her bed, quite reluctantly one might add.
A bit later Yoko is sitting in the living room, having a cup of tea with some sweets. When she hears Yuya coming down she looks toward her and smiles.
"I just knew buying this for you was a good idea. Though honestly I didn't think I'd see the day when you would actually wear it." Yoko says with a satisfied tone.
Instead of her usual attire, Yuya was wearing dark stockings and a light red knee length dress with a dark red vest over it. Additionally, she wasn't wearing her goggles and wristbands for once, but she still had her black choker and pendant on.
From the look on her face it was obvious she was really not used to wearing these kinds of clothes, and also felt both a bit uncomfortable and embarrassed.
"Why exactly do I have to wear this?" Yuya asks slightly irritated.
"Even if you didn't imply it, this is your first date and therefore you should dress up accordingly." Yoko states.
"What's wrong with my regular clothes?" Yuya asks.
"Nothing, they suit you, but for a first date dressing up like a tomboy is not really appropriate." Yoko states making Yuya fall over.
"Like you're one to talk! Both dad and the principal told me that you used to dress yourself even worse than me when you were younger! And also that you wore that same outfit when you went on your first date with dad! So don't you tell me about dressing like a tomboy on my first date!" Yuya retorts in a mix of irritation and frustration.
Yoko just chuckles and playfully sticks out her tongue, much to her daughters irritation.
"Well, complaining won't change a thing now. You have to pick up Yuzu so go on, you can have your other stuff back when you return." Yoko says as she points at the clock.
Seeing the time Yuya sighs in defeat, before putting on her regular shoes and leaving.
Meanwhile Yuzu was in her room getting ready.
"What to wear, what to wear...?" she muses as she goes through her wardrobe.
"Something nice and relaxed should do, don't want to appear stiff during our da-... Hang out! Definitely a hang out!" Yuzu thinks blushing when the word date comes to her mind.
"The odds of Yuya actually asking me out are pretty much zero. I mean can't she take a hint. When that midget clung to her calling her fated person I literally burst out. Isn't that enough to actually notice that I like her?" Yuzu wonders as the memory of Mieru annoys and irritates her.
"Then again... I did say that..." she thinks as she remembers the declaration she made the day Sora kept following Yuya around.
"If she actually had feelings for me, then I probably ruined everything by saying that." Yuzu mutters in a guilty tone.
"I should just enjoy today, and who knows, maybe someday she will actually acknowledge how I feel." Yuzu says as she decides on an outfit.
A while later Yuya arrived at Yuzu's house and rang the doorbell.
"Just be yourself, have fun and risk ruining the best friendship you ever had... No problem." Yuya thinks failing to encourage herself.
When the door starts opening Yuya expects to see Yuzu ready to go, but instead she sees Shuzo. She then quickly collects herself to not let him notice how nervous she was. Shuzo might be dense but even he would get what this really was today if she didn't act natural, and given how protective he is of Yuzu, chances are he would make her life hell.
"Hello principal, good afternoon." Yuya greets him, though instead of answering Shuzo blinks a few times before his eyes widen slightly.
"Yuya, almost didn't recognize you. Honestly the last time I saw you wearing something like that, I think you were three years old." Shuzo says as he recollects himself form the surprise.
"Well you can thank my mom for that. She literally hid my other clothes while I was taking a bath. And when I asked her why, she said that I shouldn't always dress up like a tomboy." Yuya says making Shuzo fall over.
"Hold on! Yoko said that! That's the last thing her of all people should say. I mean she used to dress up even worse than you, no offense, and never wore something different even when she started dating Yusho." Shuzo says dumbfounded.
"That's literally what I said earlier. And the only answer I got was her laughing and sticking out her tongue." Yuya states with a hint of annoyance.
"Dad! Is that Yuya?" they hear Yuzu say from inside.
"Yes sweetie! She's here to pick you up!" Shuzo says, and a second later they hear Yuzu coming down the stairs.
"Hey Yuzu, ready to go?" Yuya asks as she looks past Shuzo, only to blush at the site of Yuzu.
She was wearing dark stockings, a pinkish dress with a touch of white along with a matching belt, and her regular shoes. She also had her hairpins on, forming her hair into pigtails, and her bracelet on her right wrist.
When Yuzu saw Yuya she blushed herself but quickly collected herself so her dad won't notice.
"Yeah, I am. I really wasn't expecting you to wear something like that. Don't get me wrong, it looks good on you, it's just... not something you usually wear." Yuzu says snaping Yuya back to reality.
"Short version, my mom forced this on me. But enough about that, you look nice yourself in that dress. The color suits you." Yuya says.
"Thanks. Shall we?" Yuzu asks to which Yuya nods.
"Don't stay out to long." they hear Shuzo say as they walk off.
"So any plans for today?" Yuzu asks.
"Well considering the time, I thought we could get a bite to eat first." Yuya suggests.
"Sure, haven't eaten yet so that's perfect." Yuzu says as they head out.
A while later they were sitting at the table of a restaurant Yuya's mom had suggested to her, saying that they had excellent deserts.
After ordering, Yuya was simply looking at Yuzu with a fond look, something she didn't notice since she was using her duel disk in phone mode to look up something.
"Found anything?" Yuya asks.
"No...No... Ah, there is a fantasy movie at the cinema two blocks from here." Yuzu says having found a genre that interests her.
"Sounds fun, alright then we'll head over later." Yuya says as she straightens herself.
"So... How is training going with Sora?" Yuya asks.
"We're pretty much done. The only thing left to do is to enter the championship, and if I'm lucky I'll get my rematch against Masumi Kotsu." Yuzu states, though her voice had a hint of anger in it at the mention of the other girls name.
"That's great. I'm sure you'll get the chance. She won't know what hit her." Yuya declares enthusiastic making Yuzu giggle.
After a bit more small talk their food arrived, two bowls of ramen, though Yuya's was larger than Yuzu's.
After that they enjoyed two chocolate parfaits, both of them melting at the taste, before Yuya paid the bill and they headed off to the cinema.
A couple of hours later they exited the cinema with rather unsatisfied expressions.
"The story was good but the ending..." Yuya tries to explain.
"Yeah, I get it. They really should have gotten a happily ever after. I mean after everything they went through, that would have been the least they deserved." Yuzu says.
"Right. But I can sort of understand why he did it. Sacrificing yourself to save the person you love... honestly I would probably do the same in his situation." Yuya explains, making Yuzu look at her confused.
"Don't get me wrong. It would have been great if those two could have been together, but rather than letting the person you love die, choosing to sacrifice yourself so they can live, I think I would do the same." Yuya says to which Yuzu gave her a worried look.
"But what would the one you love feel at that? Wouldn't they be devastated, or worse loose the will to live?" Yuzu asks.
"It would be painful but to honor the sacrifice they would have to keep going. Not using your life to the fullest or even ending it would render the sacrifice useless and meaningless. No one who is ready to die for those they love wants them to suffer because of them, they want them to keep living and being happy as hard as it may be." Yuya explains, leaving Yuzu dumbfounded.
"Wow... Didn't know you were so into that kind of story." Yuzu says.
"I'm not, honestly those endings are heartbreaking for me. But at the same time I understand them. The decision to put someone else's life over your own... it takes courage to do that." Yuya explains.
"Enough about the mopey stuff though. Time to have some fun." Yuya declares making Yuzu smile as they head to their next destination.
A few minutes later they entered an amusement park. Since Yuya paid for both the food and the cinema, Yuzu took care of it this time.
"So, anything you want to do first?" Yuya asks.
"Let's start with a classic" Yuzu says as she takes Yuya's hand, making her blush, and walks towards a rollercoaster.
"That was quite the rush!" Yuya says as they exit the ride and she fixes her messed up hair.
"What do you want to do next?" Yuya asks.
"Whatever catches our attention. Let's go!" Yuzu says enthusiastically.
Yuya was currently playing ring toss game. She was down to her last one and if she got the right target she would win a prize of her choice. She focused on the one in the center, having left it for last, she aimed... and got it.
"Congratulations, now pick your prize!" the employ said as he motioned towards the wall with prizes.
After looking for a bit Yuya stopped at a certain accessory. A necklace with a red and pink crystal flower tied to it.
"That one!" Yuya says pointing at it.
After she is handed the necklace she turns to Yuzu.
"Turn around for a bit." Yuya tells her, to which she blushes knowing what she wants to do.
After Yuzu turned, Yuya went behind her and put the necklace on her.
"There, now it looks beautiful." Yuya states with a smile, making Yuzu blush.
After that, Yuzu wanted to get Yuya something as well, so they went over to a high striker game.
The buffed guy's there all laughed when Yuzu went over to lift the hammer, though they ignored them.
When Yuzu raised the hammer the same way she does her paper fan Yuya felt a chill go down her spine. One second later Yuzu hit it down not just winning but literally breaking the machine, leaving the guys who were laughing silenced and dumbfounded, and Yuya, while not surprised was chuckling nervously.
After looking through the prizes Yuzu picked something she didn't expect to see, and went over to Yuya.
It was a double banded bracelet just like her own, though instead of two pink gems framed by rose designs it had one red gem and a blue one both framed by a star design.
"There, now we match!" Yuzu says with a smile as she puts it on Yuya's wrist, making her blush this time.
After enjoying a few more rides, the sun was starting to set.
"Let's wrap it up with a classic!" Yuya says as she points at the ferris wheel, with Yuzu nodding.
"Whoa, its beautiful." Yuzu says, as she looks down at maiami bathed in the sunsets light, from the top.
"Sure is." Yuya says, though while she did like the view, she was mostly looking at Yuzu and her beaming smile.
After that, they headed towards Yuzu's place.
"Today was a lot of fun. Thanks for that." Yuzu tells her as they walk.
"Yeah, no problem." Yuya tells her.
"Ok... now the moment of truth. Just tell her." Yuya thinks.
Just before she can though she notices something. Four people with rather unsettling expressions were walking behind them.
"Even if I'm wrong, I don't want to find out." Yuya thinks as she grabs Yuzu's hand and picks up the pace.
"Huh? Wait, Yuya, what's going on?" Yuzu asks startled by the sudden action.
Glancing behind them Yuya notices that the four had started running after them, making her grit her teeth in frustration.
"We're being followed." Yuya tells her, making Yuzu's eyes widen. She looks back and sees their pursuers, before starting to run faster herself.
Trying to shake off their pursuers they ran into an alleyway. Only to play right into their hands.
Standing in their way was a boy, about Gongenzaka's size, with brown hair, wearing dark bluish colors.
"It's been a while, weakling!" he addresses Yuya, whose eyes widen when she sees him.
"You're..." Yuya says, recognizing him as her main childhood bully.
"What are the odds of running into pathetic little Sakaki. Though I'm glad. I would never accept that someone like you beat Strong Ishijima! So now, right here, I'll crush you and prove that you're nothing but a weak pushover!" Gen declares, as his goons walk into the alley.
"What makes you think I'd want to duel you!?" Yuya questions, really not liking that she ran into him of all people.
Gen just smirks and a second later Yuya hears Yuzu scream. She turns around and sees her restrained by two of Gen's goons.
"Let her go! Now!" Yuya demands infuriated.
"Your friend stays put until I crush you, so how about it? You're going to play or what?" Gen asks mockingly.
Yuya grits her teeth and pulls her duel disk out from her vests pocket and puts it on.
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuya and Gen say as they start.

"My turn! I summon Barbarian Cadet! Next I activate its effect letting me add Feast of the Wild LV5, from my deck to my hand!" Gen says as the small ogre holding a club the size of its body appears and a card is ejected from his duel disk.

"Next I activate the Magic Card, Feast of the Wild LV5! It lets me Special Summon two Level 5 Warrior-Type monsters from my hand! Come! Barbarian 1 and Barbarian 2!" Gen says as the ogre monsters appear.

"I now activate Barbarian Cadet's second effect, I Release it to Special Summon Barbarian King!" Gen says as the small ogre is replaced by a giant one.

"Huh?" Yuya and Yuzu say as they sees the monster.
"Already scared. Good. This is the monster that will crush you!" Gen declares.
"I'm not scared. May I remind you that I beat that one while it was under the control of its real master. I'm honestly just shocked that you copy the deck of someone else instead of making your own. Kind of pathetic if you ask me." Yuya states, infuriating Gen.
"Shut up, weakling! I'll make you cower before me! I set one card and end my turn!" Gen says as his facedown appears.
"My turn, Draw!" Yuya says as she starts her turn.

"Using Scale 4 Entermate Trump Witch and Scale 8 Entermate ClassiKuriboh, I set the Pendulum Scale! With this I'm able to simultaneously summon multiple monsters from Level Five to Seven!" Yuya exclaims as her monsters appear in the scales, the little fusion witch, and the little fuzzball wearing a conductor suit and holding a baton with a music note on top.

"Swing Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Appear my monsters! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! And the dazzling light of salvation that penetrates the darkness of despair! Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon!" Yuya chants as her ace and the armored form of her ace appear.

"Yes! Go get him Yuya!" Yuzu cheers.
"So that's the so called Pendulum Summon... It's a tragedy that someone as pathetic as you has it." Gen mockingly says.
"Shut up! Battle Phase!" Yuya declares, but
"I activate the Trap, Threatening Roar! You can't attack this turn!" Gen exclaims as his monsters roar with such force that it makes Yuya and her monsters slide a bit backward.
"I end my turn!" Yuya says frustrated.
"I'm finishing you now you weakling! My turn!" Gen says as he draws.

"I activate the Magic Card, Pot of Greed! To draw two more cards!" Gen says as he draws again, and then smirks.
"I activate the Magic Card, Monster Reborn! With it, I revive Barbarian Cadet from my Graveyard!" Gen exclaims as the small ogre reappears.

"I Release Barbarian 1, 2 and Barbarian Cadet to... Special Summon Barbarian Mad Shaman from my hand!" Gen declares as the slim yet revolting ogre appears on his field.
Barbarian Mad Shaman (LV.10) (2000ATK)
At the sight of it Yuya and Yuzu cringe in disgust.
"I now activate Barbarian Mad Shaman's effect! It lets me take control of a monster my opponent controls! The one I choose, is your Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon!" Gen declares, making Yuya's eyes widen in shock, as the shaman releases a wave from the skulls on his hands and draws in her Odd-Eyes.
"Battle Phase! I attack Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon with Barbarian King!" Gen exclaims as his monster swings its club and crushes Odd-Eyes.
Yuya: 4000 - 3500 LP
"And now, be destroyed by your own monsters! Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon, attack that weakling directly!" Gen orders, to which the dragon screeches in pain, not wanting to attack its mistress.
"Don't worry. It'll be fine." Yuya thinks, and as if he heard her, Odd-Eyes stops struggling and fires at her.
"When I am attacked directly, Entermate ClassiKuriboh's Pendulum effect activates, and destroys him!" Yuya says as her Kuriboh pops away.
"What a cowardly monster! How fitting for a weak, cowardly duelist like you!" Gen says mockingly.
"When ClassiKuriboh is destroyed by his Pendulum effect, the Battle Phase automatically ends!" Yuya explains as the attack toward her is nullified, and her dragon sighs, unnoticed by anyone.
"You won't escape no matter what! Take your last pathetic turn you coward!" Gen says as he grits his teeth in anger.
"She is no coward! The only coward here is you taking hostages and hiding behind your opponents monsters, you are nothing but a 30th rate duelist with a 50th rate deck!" Yuzu shouts as she elbows one of the goons restraining her so hard that he lets go and falls over.
"Why you!" the other one says as he hit her on the back of her head, knocking her out.
"Hey boss! Since she made so much trouble, can we have a bit of fun with her after you're done over there!" the goon Yuzu hit asks as he gets up.
"Sure! This won't take long anyway, so you don't have to wait! After all without her friends to hide behind she is just a frail, pathetic, helpless weakling!" Gen exclaims as he and his goons start laughing sinisterly.
Seeing and hearing all that Yuya's eyes widen, she then lowers her head making her hair obscure her face. The only thing she feels at that moment is pure anger and hatred. At how they dared to look down on her, even though they're weaker than her, and how they had the nerve to touch and even dare to want to defile Yuzu. Yuya couldn't quite understand this feeling she had in her but she knew one thing, they would pay dearly.
"Hey weakling! It's your turn! Or are you just going to run away like your old man!" Gen asks mockingly.
Yuya then raised her head. As the clouds parted and the moon shone above them the sight of Yuya made the goons flinch. Not only was the expression on her face of pure rage but what really shocked them is that both her irises were visibly both red and green at the same time, and if that wasn't enough they also seemed to be glowing.
"Shout your mouth! My turn, Draw!" Yuya yells furiously as she starts her turn, though it sounded like someone else's voice was mixed in with her own.

"I reset the Pendulum Scale with Scale 8 Entermate Odd-Eyes Unicorn! I can once again summon multiple monsters from Level Five to Seven!" Yuya exclaims, her voice still mixed with someone else's.
Entermate Trump Witch (P.S.4) - Entermate Odd-Eyes Unicorn (P.S.8)
"Swing Pendulum of Soul! Carve an arc of light across the night sky! Pendulum Summon! Appear my monster! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya chants as her ace is revived.
"How!? I destroyed it!" Gen asks in outrage.
"Destroyed Pendulum monsters are sent to the Extra deck you moron, meaning I can summon them back if the scales are correct!" Yuya exclaims making him grit his teeth.
"Next I summon Entermate Poisonous Butterfly!" Yuya says as her monster appears, wearing a purple and green dress and a dark purple mask. Her long blue and red hair shimmering in the moonlight, along with her purple butterfly wings with green edges, which spread gracefully, as she flashes her enemies a poisonous green alluring smile.
Entermate Poisonous Butterfly (LV.4) (P.S.2) (1600ATK/1000DEF)
At the sight of that monster Gen's goons feel chills going down their spines, while Gen merely grunts in annoyance.
"I now activate Entermate Trump Witche's Pendulum effect! She allows me to use monsters on my field as materials to Fusion Summon!" Yuya declares.
"What!?" Gen and his goons yell shocked.
"I fuse Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, with Entermate Poisonous Butterfly! Dual colored eyes, unite with the seductive mistress of the night! Become a new power and shine as the guiding light in darkness! Fusion Summon!" Yuya chants.
At that moment in LDS control room an alarm sounded.
"Nakajima, what is going on?" Reji questions as he walks in.
"Sir, we detected a powerful summoning reaction!" Nakajima answers.
"Which method?" Reji asks.
"Fusion, Sir! It's more powerful than any of the ones before!" Nakajima explains.
"If you can find a visual put it on screen now!" Reji orders.
A moment later a screen is showing Yuya's duel with Gen.
"That's Yuya Sakaki!" Nakajima observes.
"Come forth! Dragon that illuminates the midnight sky! Moon-Eyes Crescent Dragon!" Yuya finishes her chant as her new monster appears behind her with a mighty roar.
The dragon had deep shimmering blue scales, which faded at the edges into an ethereal mist. The left side of its face was covered by a golden crescent shaped mask, its green eye glowing behind the carvings on it, while the right eye was blue and had a ghostly glow to it. It also had horns on its back, like the regular Odd-Eyes, that stretched outward curling into a crescent shape and glowed in a neon white brilliance, while they were adorned with light green and purple jewels that pulsed faintly with energy. Around it was a faint mist shining with particles like scattered stars, giving it an aura of quiet, chilling majesty.
Moon-Eyes Crescent Dragon (LV.8) (3000ATK/2300DEF)
"Nakajima, you reported that Yuya Sakaki used Fusion Summoning yesterday, correct?" Reji asks.
"Yes, Sir! Twice actually. Though the summoning reaction was strong, it wasn't out of the ordinary." Nakajima explains.
"Interesting. Just who are you, Yuya Sakaki?" Reji murmurs as he focuses on the duel.
Back with Yuya.
Gen and his goons stood shocked at the sight of the fusion monster though it wasn't over.
"I activate Mad Shamans effect! When you summon a monster with more attack points than the one it took control of, I can switch control of those two monsters!" Gen exclaims as he tries to calm himself, though the dragons glare makes that rather hard.
"Moon-Eyes Crescent Dragon is unaffected by my opponents card effects! So your Shaman is powerless against it." Yuya explains.
"What!?" Gen yells now panicked.
"Battle Phase!" Yuya declares as she looks over to her Saber Dragon, which gives her a nod of approval knowing what has to happen.
"Moon-Eyes Crescent Dragon, attack Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon! Spiral Luna Burst!" Yuya says as her monsters clash, though Saber dragon refracted the blast to Gen instead if fighting back.
Gen: 4000 - 3800 LP
"Why wasn't it destroyed?!" Gen asks shocked as he sees the stolen monster still on his field.
"Moon-Eyes can attack all monsters my opponent controls twice each! And whenever he destroys one, my opponent takes 200 points of damage! Attack again Moon-Eyes, and release Saber Dragon from that scums control! Spiral Luna Burst!" Yuya exclaims as her dragon attacks once more.
Gen: 3800 - 3600 LP
"Moon-Eyes effect now activates!" Yuya declares as the ghost of Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon, lashes Gen with its tail making him slide back a bit.
Gen: 3600 - 3400 LP
"Don't forget! I can attack all your monsters, so Moon-Eyes, attack that disgusting shaman twice! Spiral Luna Burst!" Yuya exclaims as her dragon blasts the shaman with two blue and white blasts.
Gen: 3400 - 2400 LP
Gen: 2400 - 1400 LP
"And don't forget Crescent Dragons effect!" Yuya adds as the ghost of Barbarian Mad Shaman is blown against Gen, pushing him back again.
Gen: 1400 - 1200 LP
"I also activate the Quick Play Magic, Gravity Lash! Now Barbarian King will lose Attack points equal to its Defense points!" Yuya declares as the last monster on Gen's field falls to its knees.
Barbarian King (LV.8) (3000 - 1900ATK/1100DEF)
"What, no?!" Gen exclaims in horror.
"This is for looking down on me! Spiral Luna Burst!" Yuya says as her dragon attacks Barbarian King.
Gen: 1200 - 100 LP
"And this is for Yuzu! End this Moon-Eyes! Attack one final time! Spiral Luna Burst!" Yuya says as her dragon destroys Barbarian King, and blasts Gen a few feet away with him falling on his back.
Gen: 100 - 0 LP
Winner: Yuya
Despite the duel being over Yuya's dragon doesn't disappear. She then looks at Gen's goons with a furious expression. The ones in question let go of the unconscious Yuzu and run behind their boss who was starting to get up, shaky one might ad.
Yuya then walks over to Yuzu and picks her up in her arms before turning toward Gen and his goons.
"Leave! And never go near her ever again!" Yuya tells them in a chilling tone. That along with her glowing eyes still both red and green at the same time, her mixed voice, and the dragon behind her, makes them go pale and run away screaming.
In the control room Nakajima stood with his jaw dropped at what just happened.
"It seems that she truly is the most promising candidate." Reji muses.
"Though that summoning reaction... Continue monitoring her as usual. Inform me of any abnormalities right away." Reji orders as he starts leaving the control room.
"Yes, sir!" Nakajima says having regained himself.
After Gen and his goons were out of sight Yuya's duel disk deactivated and her dragon disappeared. She then closed her eyes, and when she opened them they were back to normal.
Despite feeling woozy Yuya wills herself to walk out of the alley and sit down on a bench, letting Yuzu rest in her arms.
Yuya stroke Yuzu's cheek for a moment, before letting out a tired sigh and closing her eyes.
At that moment Yuzu starts waking up and sees Yuya's face right above her. She instantly got embarrassed and was about to ask her what happened.
"I just wanted this date to go well." Yuya says, with her eyes still closed, her voice back to normal.
Hearing that, Yuzu has to fight down her own blush.
"This really was a date!? Then that means..." Yuzu thinks, and when she sees Yuya's eyes opening, she quickly closes hers wanting to hear if Yuya has anything else to say.
"And by the end of it, I wanted to tell you how I really feel about you, what you really mean to me." Yuya says, before giving Yuzu a kiss on the cheek.
Feeling that Yuzu's eyes shoot open and her face turns redder than Yuya's hair, as she gasps.
Hearing that Yuya backs away and sees Yuzu looking at her, causing her to blush in embarrassement.
"Yuzu! Wh- How much did you hear?" Yuya panickily asks.
"What you just said... do you mean it?" Yuzu asks.
"Yes... Look I know that you probably don't-" Yuya tries to say
"And what you just did." Yuzu says, silencing Yuya and making her gulp.
"I actually wanted you to do that somewhere else." Yuzu says with a mischieeous smirk, making Yuya's eyes widen.
Before she can react Yuzu leans up and kisses her on the lips. The shock from it is quickly replaced by joy, as Yuya closed her eyes and leans into it.
After a few minutes the part with blushing faces.
"Yuya, I really like you as well. No, I love you, Yuya, I have for a long time now." Yuzu says.
"I love you to, Yuzu, more than you can imagine." Yuya says with a loving smile before kissing her again.
This one, though shorter, was much sweeter, with both of them shedding a tear of joy.
"We should go now. If we take any longer your dad will get worried." Yuya points out as she stands up and helps Yuzu to her feet.
"Yeah you're right." Yuzu says as they start walking toward her house.
A bit later they arrive in front of Yuzu's.
Before she heads in she looks back at Yuya with a smile.
"Thanks for today. I really enjoyed it." Yuzu says.
"No problem. Next time lets do it without the hostage thing though." Yuya says to which they both chuckle.
"Though it was about time someone put that jerk in his place." Yuzu points out.
"Good night Yuya. Love you." Yuzu says, whispering the last part as she heads in.
"Night Yuzu. Love you to." Yuya says with a whisper.
After Yuzu enters her house Yuya turns around and heads home with a beaming smile on her face.
The next morning.
As the sunlight entered Yuya's room waking her up she stood up to get ready.
Today they were going to have a little party at You Show to celebrate her and Sora getting into the championship.
As she was putting on her wristbands she looked over at her desk and saw the bracelet Yuzu had given her. And after looking at it for a moment she put down her right wristband and put on the bracelet instead, with a smile.
Afterward she headed down to have some breakfast.
"Good morning Mom!" Yuya greets her as she walks into the kitchen.
"Good morning Sora." Yuya also greets him cheerfully.
The gesture leaving both of them shocked. Usually Yuya would get annoyed whenever he was there to eat.
"Morning..." Sora replied looking at her surprised as she sat down.
"Ok, what's going on?" Sora asks after a while.
"What do you mean?" Yuya asks confused.
"Well, you usually complain about me coming over for breakfast. But today you actually don't seem to mind at all. That and you've had that big smile on your face the whole time." Sora points out, catching Yoko's attention.
"Do I?" Yuya asks as she traces her face.
"He's right you know. You've been like that ever since you came home last night. I assume that means your date with Yuzu went well?" Yoko says.
"Wait date when did they... Hold on. I knew it! I just knew there was something between you two, even back then!" Sora exclaims in a victorious tone.
At that Yuya blushes.
"Was I so obvious?" she asks.
"Painfully." Sora and Yoko say.
"So does that mean the two of you are together now?" Sora asks.
"Yeah. Yeah we are." Yuya says with a smile as she touches the bracelet.
"I'm happy for you. Just please don't be all lovey dovey all the time, or you'll make people sick." Sora jokes.
"The only thing that's going to make people sick are your bizarre eating habits." Yuya retorts at which they both start laughing.
A while later the three of them went over to You Show, Sora being excited about finally eating cake.
"Hey guys where here!" Yuya says as they exit the elevator.
"Big sis Yuya! Your finally here! That means we can start now!" Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi say joyfully as they start eating the sweets.
"Hey wait for me!" Sora shouts and rushes over to nab as many sweets as he be can.
"Are you really fine with celebrating with us Gongenzaka? I mean because of me..." Yuya tells him.
"Nonsense. I the man Gongenzaka, would never miss a celebration dedicated to my best friends success. Besides I already told you, I still have time to qualify." Gongenzaka exclaims making her smile.
At that Yuzu walked in with a few refreshments. After leaving them on the table she walked over to Yuya.
"Hey! Did you sleep well?" Yuzu asks.
"Just fine! You're wearing it?" Yuya asks as she sees Yuzu wearing the necklace that she gifted her.
"You said it looked good on me, besides I see your wearing my gift as well." Yuzu retorts at which they both chuckle a bit.
Though they then notice everyone staring at them.
"Got anything to tell us." Sora asks while eating a slice of cake, already knowing the answer.
They then exchanged glances and took each others hands.
"Well we have big news!" Yuya exclaims.
"As of yesterday night, we are together!" Yuzu finishes.
Hearing that the children cheer for them and go over to hug them while Gongenzaka gives them a nod of approval while smiling happily at this development.
"Together? What do you mean?" Shuzo asks, making almost everyone facepalm at how oblivious he was.
"It means they are a couple now, take a hint!" Sora plainly says.
"C-Couple... Nooo! Not my baby girl! No! Why did this have to happen she's still so young and-" his panic was cut short when Yuzu smacked him with her fan.
"Give it a rest! I'm old enough to like and date whoever I want! And besides, this is Yuya we're talking about! You've known her ever since she was a baby and also trust her a great deal! So calm down!" Yuzu chides him.
"I'm sorry, it's just... I can't believe you two are together." Shuzo says.
"That also means I owe Yusho a drink if and when he ever comes back." Shuzo murmurs.
He then walks over to Yuya.
"I've known you a long time now and I trust you Yuya. But know this if you ever hurt Yuzu I swear-" he was cut off by another hit from Yuzu's fan.
"Give it a rest! Yuya would never hurt me! Besides she saved me yesterday!" Yuzu says catching everyones attention.
"Saved you? What happened?" Tatsuya asks.
At that they tell them about their run in with Gen and his goons, with Yuya filling in the part were Yuzu was unconscious. The reactions were mixed to say the least.
"Gen Ankokuji! That swine! Not only did he dissent against the Gongenzaka dojo's teachings but he also dared to do this! I the man Gongenzaka, shall make him pay!" Gongenzaka declares enraged.
"That's right and if you won't do it, I'll give those pigs hell for what they did!" Shuzo says equally enraged.
"Calm down, you can have your revenge later. Besides it seems Yuya already took care of that." Sora points out.
"Although the fact that you send a guy, the size of Gongenzaka, and his goons running away screaming, that's priceless! What I would give to see that!" Sora exclaims laughing his heart out at that fact.
The children though equally angry about the ambush also laugh at the fact that Yuya put them in their place.
"You see, Yuya won't let anything happen to her no matter what." Yoko tells Shuzo.
"You're right. I hope you're happy together." Shuzo tells them.
Yuya and Yuzu smile at that and then enjoy the rest of the little party with them feeding each other cake, while the others look at the new couple with smiles on their faces.
