Kaiju Fighters Ch. 60
Back at the base, Moll is in the meditation room, down on her knees, eyes closed, holding a box. She is then startled by their new liaison.
"I have to ask," Tendo walks up to her. "What's with the dresses?"
"Oh, Mr. Choi?" the Elias stands. "I guess I was too preoccupied with seeing what the others were up to, I did not sense you."
The man reaches behind his head to pretend to scratch it though, in reality he's checking on the inhibitor blocking telepathic waves. "That's all right. A lot is going on," he then looks her up and down. "So… about the dress?"
"It's actually a Combat Skirt. There's less restriction in movement while fighting."
Lora then enters the room, carrying a case. "I got them, Moll," the younger twin moves over to a table off to the side of the room and sets the case on it.
"Good," Moll approaches the table with her box, and both open their containers. Moll's contains three small medallions while Lora's has three short swords. Both sisters take one of each and place a medallion onto their weapons causing the blades to extend.
Tendo lets out a whistle but takes note of the third. "Are those for Mosura?"
The Shobijin glance at one another before Lora starts. "Actually…"
"…they belong to our sister," Moll closes the case and box.
"Right. Your files mentioned another Elias. Not on good terms or something?
"We started growing closer, but we've never been…" the twins pause as they look into the distance.
Lora turns towards the liaison. "Mr. Choi. It's best that you go to your office. We're under attack."
.oOo.
Mosura strolls down the hall but comes to a halt at a familiar presence. "Brother," and turns to face an armored Battra with a drawn katana. "Never would I have believed you'd align yourself with the likes of Ghidorah."
"He made a valid argument, sister."
"A valid argument!? He's a destroyer, Battra!"
"But he has plans to liberate this world from the humans."
"Humans are a crucial part of this world."
Battra stares at her for a while be letting out a sigh. "There's no way to convince you," he sheaths his weapon. "is there, Mosura?" and his eyes begin glow with purple energy.
"We've always been on opposing sides," the guardian of peace readies her only weapon.
"Even though we want the same thing."
Battra fires the prism beams from his eyes. Mosura easily dodges while unthreateningly throwing silk at his eyes. Just as the Chaos Guardian removes the silk, he catches sight of his sister throwing a fist at him, catching him off guard. Mosura goes to kick but her foot was easily caught and tossed to the other side of the room.
When the guardian of peace tried getting up, she looked over to see her brother with a sword drawn once again, this time, sparking with the purple electricity.
"I truly am sorry, Sister," in one swift move, Battra brings the katana down and releases the Prism Beam.
Before the Prism Beam reaches Mosura, Caesar jumps in front of her and the green gem on his crown absorbs the energy and he releases yellow beams from his eyes at the black moth, pushes his opponent back.
The old dog turns to assist Mosura back up. "Nice to see you're putting my training to good use."
Mosura chuckles. "Thanks for the save, Caesar. I just wished it was enough for me to take him on by myself. My brother has always been physically more powerful than me."
They watch as Battra gets back up on his feet and his sword crackles.
"You have something more important than physical strength."
She tilts her head. "And what would that be?"
"A bigger heart."
Mosura smiles. "It also doesn't hurt to have a good friend."
The two then charge at Battra.
.oOo.
Miki, Liz, and Amy were in the R 'n R watching the wedding. The woman was hopeful when her husband and the rest of the Fighters entered the chapel but turned the tv off once they were blasted out of the building.
"You don't need to see any of this," Liz picks her daughter up. "Daddy will be fine. You'll see," she says more to herself than the child. The woman turns but then lets out a shriek at the sight of a group of ape men who are holding them and the psychic at gunpoint.
Before the Simeons could fire, a blast of light hits them.
Standing at the room's entrance are Moll and Lora each with an arm out overlapping the other's arm. The sisters then break apart with their blades drawn, slashing and stabbing the Simeons.
"Lora!" Moll turns to her sister. "Get them out of here!"
"What about—"
"They're the priority not me!"
Lora's hand tightens around the weapon but nods regardless and leads the human's out of the room. "This way!"
Once she was sure that her sister, Miki, and the Ishiyama's were out of harm's way, Moll turns back to the invaders to finish them off.
When the last Simeon fell, Moll thought everything was done. But she then freezes and turns to the wall. "I know you're there," and points her sword at it. "Reveal yourself. Kamacuras."
The area around the wall shifts to reveal a woman with green exoskeleton visible under her clothes. The torn sleeves show a series of small, jagged blades leading down from her pinky all the way up to the elbow. On her back is a set of insect-like wings.
The Dual Blade monster snarls. "You pesky pixies are as annoying as I've heard."
Moll smirks. "I've heard a thing or two as well. Especially of your last encounter with Anguirus and Rodan."
Kamacuras' eye twitches. "I was honestly hoping those two bumbling, fossil fools would have been here for some payback," she raises her arms. "You'll have to do," and runs at the Elias, aiming to tear straight through her. But Moll is fast enough to use her blade to deflect the attack.
.oOo.
While leading the humans through the halls, Lora finds herself being chased three men. One with a heavy spiked shell, another paddle like tentacles instead of hands, and the last with orange crab-like claws one bigger than the other.
The Elias lets out a yelp as one of Gezora's tendrils wrap around her, even binding her arms, and pulls her back.
"Been a while since I killed someone," Gezora grins as his other tendril wraps around the woman's neck. His face is then suddenly met by a fist.
"Get away from her!" Baragon shouts.
.oOo.
Miki and Liz rush down the hall with the mother still carrying her daughter. The humans have no idea when they lost Lora, but the mother knows that Amy is all that matters at the moment.
Newt is seen down one of the halls, leaning out of a doorway. "Come on! This way!"
They did not need to think twice about entering the room. Once inside, Newt shuts the door.
Gotlieb is on a radio. "Tendo! Where are you!? We can't hold off much longer. You need to get to the lab now!"
"Sorry, guys! I have my own plans." the Liaison tells him. "Go on a head and lock up. Catch you on the flip side."
Gottlieb looks over at Newt and nods.
With a sigh, Newt walks over where a big red button rests with a label that reads, 'WHEN IT HITS THE FAN' and pushes it. "That man's going to die a rock star."
A large metal frame falls in front of the door.
The mathematician walks up to the Ishiyamas. "We had hoped to never use it, but my colleague and I used some of our spare time to prep a panic room."
Some banging is then heard from the other side and the child grips onto her mother.
"Hey!" Newt leans down. "Don't worry. Your old man himself tested those doors. No one is getting through them."
.oOo.
Tendo drops the radio and raises his hands as guns were pointed at him. "Surely we can talk this out, fellas."
The Simeons didn't seem interested in anything the human has to say.
"How about this?" the liaison opens his jacket a bit to reveal a familiar gorilla pin. One tap later, Tendo is replaced by the tanned blond. "Name's Cam. If you spare me, I can get you some government intel. Things that you won't find in the books."
That catches the Invaders' attention.
