Chapter one

At the park, a group of friends were playing at the park.

Nicholas is 10 years old, he had messy brown hair, wearing a blue T-shirt, khaki shorts, black and white sneakers.

Todd is 10 years old, he had black hair, wearing a black T-shirt, green shorts, black and green sneakers.

Kyle is 10 years old, he had messy dark brown hair, a light grey t-shirt, black shorts, blue and white sneakers.

It was summer vacation and they were all having fun at the park.

It was small next to a forest and lake, there weren't any other kids there except for them.

Todd was annoyed, "it sucks we can't play any video games."

Kyle rolled his eyes as he heard this before, "we know but come on man, all of our parents say get outside and have fun."

"We socialize on the websites and I'll talk together on multiple games, and yet they say we need to speak with other people," Todd said as he was annoyed as he wished he could do more things as being a kid he couldn't really do that much.

Nicholas sat on the bench, "well there's a lot of things we can talk about, remember that show we used to watch called courage the Coward dog?"

Kyle rolls his eyes as he already knew where this was leading into, "let me guess you want to bring up your favorite episode of Muriel blows up?"

"Of course I do, don't you know that episode is based on a true story?" Nicholas said and Todd laughed.

"Yeah right, the story when after eustis blows up, the large crater was filled up and the town we live on today is where the crater once was," Todd explained as he was laughing.

Kyle was tired of hearing that story so many times.

"But it's true though, didn't you read the papers that this place used to be a massive crater," Nicholas said.

Kyle yawn, "no offense but that's nothing more with a coincidence and there was nothing about a massive explosion, heck there's nothing about a secret military base that used to be here before he got blown up by eustis."

Todd nodded in agreement, "yeah even if it was true what does it matter now?"

"What if it's possible there are some remains of eustis and the carrot that has probably had seeds that form new giant carrots," Nicholas explains his theory.

Kyle looked a bit interested to at least hear this out as I was new, "what do you mean by remains?"

"I mean what if there is somewhat of a remains of eustis and the carrot that has possibly created a brand new seed to allow it to continue on and what if it's in the ground?" Nicholas explain.

Todd laughs as he crosses arms, "even if that was true, so what?"

"What do you think we could do with it?" Nicholas ask.

Todd smirk, "if it was true then I would eat it and grow massive and blow up this boring town."

Kyle laughed as if that was even possible to do, "how could you eat a carrot that is like 10 ft tall and 5 ft wide? Seriously there is no way you could eat that whole thing if it was real."

Nicholas had grabbed one of his old toy shovels, "I heard deep in the forest here from people speaking about it in the alleyway, that I cared had recently grown, if we could dig it up and find it what if Todd eats it?"

Todd took the shovel, "fine but I doubt we'll find it."

Kyle thought it was probably people planting carrot seeds as they went into the woods.

The woods were dark thanks to the thick Francis covering the daylight and it was nice and cool.

Todd and the others eventually came across something, "huh? What's this?"

A large bush with leaves, they started ripping them off and what looked to be a small rock.

Todd was surprised as it almost looks similar from the show as he started digging up loud as Nicholas tried to pull it out along with Kyle.

"Nicholas there's no way we're getting this thing out! It's too heavy!" Kyle said but Nicholas wasn't going to give up.

Around after an hour Todd had dug up and started helping pull the thing out and to their surprise it was a massive carrot.

All three of their eyes went wide, "no way it's real!"

Nicholas smirk, "I told you it was real."

Kyle shook his head, "okay it's possible for a real carrot to grow this big but still there is no way this could actually be something a person eats and makes them grow massive I bet Todd cannot even eat it!"

Todd doubted that the story was true but looking at the carrot it was kind of curious what something this big would taste like, he probably already knew it would be hard and dirt but the idea of growing massive hit him.

Todd had no doubt this was not going to work but he did make a bet that he would eat it or at the very least he would at least take a bite or two.

Placing both of his hands on it he opened up his mouth wide and chewed right down taking it a big bite.

It was hard and crunchy but slowly we came soft and went down his throat with ease at first it tasted gross but then it started to taste good with an aftertaste and he took another bite and then another.

After 15 minutes he ate the whole thing.

Kyle's mouth dropped, "no way you just ate that?"

Todd padded his belly as he was now full, "you bet I did I did make a bet."

Nicholas eyes went wide, "no way you realize what will happen to you now?"

Todd laughed, "oh, quit being dramatic, there is no way it is real, I only ate it because of what I said earlier."

The three decide it was time to go and get out of the woods.

Somewhere else

a group of men dressed in black were all speaking together, "sir we found it, but a kid has already eaten it."

"Really?" One of them said.

While another nodding, "should we do something about it?"

The man shook his head, "no whoever this boy is could become the first test subject as if there is one carat there is probably more underneath."

Back home

Everyone was having a sleepover at Todd's place, unaware to any of them Todd had grown three inches.
