"And they can be destroyed. Proved that last night with Aragon.", Dani quickly interjected as Val nodded. "Yeah. Also, nice to know they don't hold any racial prejudice, but I guess all that's probably stupid when you have the existence of ghosts and the threat they pose to all humans. The ones that would want to take over the world that is.", Val chuckled.
Dani chuckled, "Point.", before rubbing her arm, and blushed as she glanced at Val, "What I said back there yesterday when I and Danny was in the fight with Aragon in dragon form, I...I meant what I said...I...I never wanted to lose you like that if you...you died violently...by him, or anything else...", before feeling her hand touched, looking down to see Val's hand warmly canvassing over her hand, and looked back up at Val.
Val spoke softly, "Don't be angry at Danny, but he told me that you...you had a nightmare of me, calling out my name...which I assume after you saw everyone else's deaths in the nightmare which Sam told me about, though she wasn't specific of how the deaths happened, just saying that you were losing us in me and Sam, and your family...You thought it was coming true with Aragon, were you?".
Dani gave a small, reluctant nod, "Partially, yes... I think maybe it wasn't as bad last night compared to the dream because at least last night there was something I could do. I was unable to fight in the dream but in reality... well, we already lived it.", as she then smiled.
"Close call though if we didn't help empower Dora there. But it's done now, he isn't coming back for me, Dani...", Val said. Dani exhaled, "Yeah...I still hold to it, through...I couldn't dare let anything happen to you as long as I'm there...", and Val whispered, "Because you love me...Aragon was wrong...You aren't weak...And love makes anyone strong...".
"Yes...it's true...I...I fell in love with you...My feelings grew from that day...in the pool...It changed from a crush to actual feelings.", Dani nodded, whispering, trusting her heart, and Val widened her eyes in surprise, "Really? When did you get a crush on me?".
Dani blushed, "That day...when we ditched school after that horrible class of sex ed...Seeing you show off all the clothes we found in the dressing room in different stores, I...I guess something changed when I saw you as more than just my pretty best friend...".
"Wow...", Val whistled as Dani blushed, "I know, kinda silly when looking back but I can't help it, it was just that day that my brain started to think of you more than simply being my best friend...". Dani rubbed her arm, "What about you? Did you have actual feelings for me when we had that accidental kiss in the pool? When did you first get a crush on me?".
Val chuckled sheepishly, "Can you believe that I first had a crush on you that day we met Sam? Seeing you as sweet and friendly to welcome Sam to our movie night, it was making you so cute where my brain started to think of you more than my best friend...and yes, my crush changed into actual feelings that grew on since that day in the pool...I actually wanted to return the kiss back, you know?", blushing with a nervous smile.
"Wow...", Dani released a huge sigh of air, "Kinda feel bad that it took so much more later for it to click in me... or that we didn't just return that kiss...". She blushed hard as Val did too before smiling, "Hey, it doesn't matter now... we've got that out in the open... and now... why don't we make up for some lost time?".
Dani nodded before flicking her eyes to Val's lips, leaning in, and Val was doing the same, tilting her head slightly, and finally, their lips met. It was long-awaited as they felt their hearts soar and skip and beat faster than before as they kissed tenderly, then firmly, and then passionately, instinctively wrapping their arms around each other.
They panted softly as they broke away, with Dani whispering, "Wow...that felt so much right...I have dreamed of kissing you so many times...next to other things...", blushing with a small smile.
Val widened her eyes, "Dani, me too...I dreamt of this and more...Looks like we have been waiting enough, haven't we? I never thought I'd be so happy like this, being in love with my best friend.", caressing Dani's cheek.
Dani blushed with an overjoyed smile, and spoke, "We don't have to rush in saying those little three words, but right now, can you please kiss me again and again?".
"Yeah, no rush... let's just take this a day at a time...", Val nodded. "And of course... we've got all day practically... spending it in just kissing you sounds like rewarding a quite fulfilling day.", Valerie smiled as they shared another kiss, their hands gently caressing each other's arms and backs.
And so, they went to kiss, with certain boundaries, from gentle to passionate, from deep to kinky, to discover what they like, where they are sensitive about, and all, barely managing to take a break for lunch, and cuddle for a nap before returning back to their kissing sessions with a make out here and there.
They were so deeply distracted that they didn't hear Damon Grey coming in home from work, and as Damon put down his keys and briefcase, he was about to call out that he's home when he heard a moan-gasp, "Dani, yes...that tickles!", hearing his daughter giggle.
Scenarios went through his head, ready to lecture his daughter if she was going too far, as he went into the living room, and saw Danielle Fenton, all clothed through mussed up, on top of his clothed daughter, kissing kinky with Valerie's neck, looking mussed up too.
"Ahem...", Damon cleared his throat as both girls suddenly opened their eyes; Valerie, in much more of a quick panic than Dani as she shot right up, practically almost throwing Dani right off of her as the smaller girl fell backwards and landed on her back on the other side of the couch.
"DAD!", Val screamed which caused Damon to jump back a bit. "Easy, Val, easy!", Damon quickly held his hands up. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you...". Valerie panted as Dani was trying to pull herself up from the sudden small toss that she went through thanks to Val's sudden movements.
"I... I... um...", Val stammered as she really didn't know what to say. "So, um...", Damon decided to break the ice of the moment. "I guess you and Dani are girlfriends now?", he asked. "And I mean, girlfriends that are more than just friends when I say that...".
Val took deep breaths before she felt a hand squeezing hers and glanced to see Dani looking supportive with a nod, and Val smiled a bit before looking back at Damon, "Yes, we are, Dad, and before you ask, we are not rushing or anything, just setting up some boundaries and taking a day at a time. And I am lesbian, and I am not going to be someone else you want me to be if you're bothered about this.", with a determined nod.
Damon rubbed one of his temples as he was trying to quickly register everything before taking a deep breath, "Sorry, Val, just... I need a moment to wrap my head around this.".
"I apologize if I didn't give you some subtle hits or actions to prepare you for this...", Val said. "It's alright.", Damon gave a small nod. "Okay... Val, being a lesbian and all, this isn't a phase, you're not doing this just for attention or trying to upset me, like you actually truly care for Dani?".
Val squeezed Dani's hand, and replied, "I fell in love with Dani ever since we had an accidental kiss in the pool back in the summer prior to freshman year, and before that, I had a crush on her since the later years of elementary school. We just confessed our feelings this morning after we found out via our friends that we were obvious to them yet not ourselves...I would never do this for attention or upset you because you give me so much with food, shelter, clothes, and your love...and I have a feeling that Mom would listen too if she...was here.", feeling Dani leaning in to touch shoulders, comforting her as she squeezed Val's hand back tenderly.
Damon gave a deep breath before he nodded and had a small smile on his face. "Well, if that's it then, whatever makes you happy, Val.", he said as Valerie blinked before chuckling, "Jeez, now here I'm wondering what sort of thing that would 'make me happy' that you'd put your foot down on!".
Damon raised an eyebrow, "Do not push me there. Okay, I understand with you being lesbian, you have no risk of getting pregnant, but you better promise me that you...god, you consent with Dani and vice versa since you two are 16, thanks to you becoming 16 back in June a week after school let out for the summer, and of course, Dani becoming 16 in August, and being the head of R&D in my company, we gotta know of the laws around Indiana and all, the age of consent is 16.", getting awkward yet strict, wishing for a moment that Bethany was there by his side to tell her daughter and all, seeing Dani and Val blush so hard in embarrassment yet listening to Damon, realizing that he's being serious and strict, even if he's being awkward as this is his only daughter, dating Danielle Fenton.
"Okay, thanks for the reminder, Dad...", Val blushed. "But like we agreed, we're taking this one step at a time so... any of that sort of fooling around, we're going to wait a while.".
"Don't want to rush things, you know?", Dani spoke up as she went red faced again when she realized saying it at that moment didn't sound like they were talking about their relationship in general.
Damon nodded, "Good, because I don't want peer pressure or school pressure on you two when you two aren't ready yet. And as for a couple of rules right now, cuddling and moderate kissing is allowed on the couch, next to holding hands and shoe teasing at the dinner table. Any further than that, take it to your bedroom, Val, or the pool when I'm not here, clear?".
Val nodded, "Yes, sir...And sleeping over?", and Damon replied, "As you are 16 and can take care of yourselves, I must trust you two with your set boundaries, I'm fine as long as you are having pajamas on if you just want to cuddle and sleep normally on your pace. Is that acceptable?".
"Sounds good to me. I was going to worry if you might have been stricter.", Val said as Damon chuckled. "Only if it was a boy I barely knew.", he teased right back as Dani burst out laughing.
"HA! Sounds like my folks with Jazz with that one dude she was seeing!". Said dude was obviously Johnny 13 and that whole mess that Danny and she dealt with in separate timelines.
Val nodded, "Oh, yeah, that motorcycle guy.", as that barely lasted a week when Dani knocked Johnny 13 out, and got him flying for the Ghost Zone hills, literally.
Damon replied, "I heard a bit from your mother about that...What happened to him, anyway?", and Dani shrugged, "He's probably traveling the states, who cares? I'm happier for Jazz dating Tucker as Tucker's far better and more known, since he was watching me and Val if you were busy.".
Smiling, Damon nodded, "Indeed. Tucker is quite a good man, and I hope he and Jazz finds themselves a good future together. Now, are you two hungry yet?".
Dani and Val glanced at each other silently before Dani replied, "Not yet, I think we're good until your usual time at 6 for dinner.", and Val asked, "Can we have your famous meatballs and spaghetti, please?".
Damon chuckled, "You're lucky that it's Saturday night, Val. Alright, then, that's settled. You done with your homework, Dani?", and Dani flushed, "No...I was too distracted and flustered with overthinking about today in telling Val how I felt for her.".
Damon replied, "I'll let that slide for you two this time, but tomorrow, you go to Dani's place to do your homework together and help each other out. You go ahead and cuddle on this couch with a movie while I destress a bit with a shower, and then work on dinner, alright?".
Val smiled, "Thanks, Dad...", and Dani smiled, "Thank you, sir. And I'll call Mom that I'm staying over for dinner and sleeping over, with everything we set for boundaries and your rules.".
"Alright then.", Damon said as he left the room leaving the girls alone. "Well, that went fairly smoothly...", Dani admitted as Val smiled.
"Yeah, plus his rules and all being so much easier... man, I'm really lucky you're a girl then because he would've probably lost his mind if you were a boy...", Val said.
"Or Danny.", Dani joked as Val started to laugh, "Oh, yeah, switch the ages and I might be dating him!". Dani side-eyed her when Val wasn't looking at her when she said that.
Dani gave a small chuckle, gesturing, "Go ahead and choose the movie. I'm gonna call Mom.", and Val nodded, and so, Dani called Maddie, and told all the details and all while Val chose the movie and went to get it ready.
They cuddled in the corner of the couch, kissing each other occasionally, watching the movie, happily feeling content and right in each other's embrace, and after that, Damon called for dinner, and they went to eat, acting a bit like Lady and the Tramp as Damon was both amused yet happy to see.
They headed upstairs to Val's room, and Val smirked softly, "Wanna call Sam and tell the good news?", and Dani grinned, "Read my mind...And besides, she must be bored and wondering by now...Better now to call her before we play a couple of video games or something...before we go to sleep...", with a blushing nod.
Val blushed, smiling, and used her phone to call Sam, and Sam's voice responded after a couple of rings, "Welcome to Manson Factory of Hell. Prisoner 3 aka Sam Manson speaking.".
"Hey, Sam. You alone?", Val asked, and Sam replied, "Val! No, Gramma Ida's with me in the theater basement. Folks are out socializing again. We're watching one of her oldies which is actually not bad, called Clue. It's gripping and so wicked. So, did Dani face her fears or did she back out?".
Dani spoke into the phone, "More than faced my fears. We're hooking up officially, Sam.", and Sam gave out a squeal, "YES! Gramma, you owe me 20 bucks!", as Dani and Val heard Gramma Ida's voice nearby, "Huh-uh! Not yet, Samantha. Which one of them told first? I got dibs on Valerie, while you got dibs on Danielle.".
"Tell her she loses the twenty, Sam...", Valerie chuckled. "It was Dani.", with a smile at Dani who blushed. "Ha!", Sam laughed on the other end. "Pay up, Gramma!".
Dani shook her head and smiled. Was it really so obvious between them that they just never noticed? Sam hummed, "Thank you, Dani...I had a feeling it would be you...And what about your folks or Val's dad?".
Dani replied, "It was mine, through it was Danny's fault accidentally...Dad is ecstatic, and Mom is happy for me. And a few hours ago...umm, we were caught kissing on the couch by Val's Dad...he took a bit to wrap his mind around it, but eventually, he's now happy for Val, and next to our boundaries we talked out about, we got a bit of his rules, not too crazy. Explained to Mom by call that I was asked to stay for dinner and asked her permission if she is fine with me sleeping over, and I mean...not exactly sleeping over in a sleeping bag like usual, but not intimately, just cuddling and kissing as we're not rushing anything...She agreed similarly with Val's dad's rules for my place too.".
"Even though if you two have some real fun, you don't really have to worry about any consequences in nine months.", Sam snickered on the phone.
"SAM!", Valerie shouted as she went red faced. Sam chuckled, "Sorry, girls, you leave it wide open for me to do that to you now since I'm the only one without a lover amongst our friend group!"
Dani deadpanned, "She got a point there, Val...We are gonna be teased by our best friend for ages.", and Sam's voice responded, "Yep!", before a moment of muffled talk, and then she replied, "I gotta resume the movie now, before Gramma gets too tired for bed. She doesn't want to miss out the best parts. Are we hanging out tomorrow or after school?".
Val said, "We're doing homework tomorrow at Dani's place so we couldn't forget. You can join us.", and Sam nodded, "Alright then. Through I will let you have your dates and all, just don't forget me sometimes, eh?".
