Thor,the God of Thunder,was prepared to ascend the Throne of Asgard,but was interrupted when the Frost Giants,secretly allowed in by his brother,Loki,attempts to retrieve the Casket of Ancient Winter that seize during the battle. Thor's Father,Odin summons the Destroyer to stop them. Thor suggests that they want answers,But Odin refuses,saying he's not yet the King. Going against Odin's orders,Thor travels to Jotunheim with Loki,his Childhood friend,Sif,& the Warriors Three to confront the Frost Giant king,Laufey. The Battle ensues until Odin intervenes,destroying the Truce between the two races. For Thor's Arrogance,Odin stripped away his power & exiled him to earth,accompanied by Mjonir,now protected by an enchantment that allows only worthy to wield it.
Thor landed in New Mexico where Jane Foster found him. At the Hospital,Thor escapes & finds Jane,who took him to her house. Thor tells Jane all about it. At Asgard,Loki discovers that he was turning Blue due to being touched by the Frost Giants. Odin tells him that he was son of Laufey before ends up in Odinsleep. Loki took over the Throne. Sif & the Warriors Three must go to earth to find Thor. Loki discovers this & freezes Heimdall,gatekeeper of the Bifrost,and sends the Destroyer to stop Thor from returning. Thor discovers that Mjolnir's nearby location & went to retrieve it,but was unable to lift & is captured. While in interrogation,The Destroyer attacks. Sif & the Warriors Three were overpowered as Thor offered himself instead. He was strucked down & nearly killed,but proved himself worthy by his sacrifice to wield Mjolnir,restoring his powers. Thor defeats the Destroyer.
Loki allows the Frost Giants in Asgard. Heimdall frees himself & kills two of them. He opens the Bifrost,allowing Thor to return as he vows to be back for Jane. Loki betrays & kills Laufey. Thor arrives to confront Loki,who reveals his plans to destroy Jotunheim with the Bifrost Bridge. Thor stops Loki's plan,destroying the bridge,stranding himself in Asgard. Odin awakes & catches them,but Loki allows himself to fall when Odin rejects his pleas. Thor make amends with Odin,admitting that he's ready to be king. On earth,Jane begun searching for Thor.
Mid-Credits:
At the S.H.I.E.L.D. Facility,Nick Fury opens briefcase. Inside of it was mysterious cube-shaped object,which Fury says it may hold untold power. An invisible Loki appeared with a Smirk.
Post-Credits:
Kraven was sitting in his desk & received a phone call. He learned about his target. He pinned his knife at the photo of the part of Africa.
