Ch 17
"Come on champ, I know you can do it. Just put your foot forward nice and slow." Lynn cheered on while holding little Loan by her hands. The little girl seemed unsure of herself, her eyes wandering around the room, ultimately landing on the white-haired boy sitting at the edge of the bed. She looked at him with her small blue eyes, as if pleading for help.
"Lynn, I told you she's still too young to walk. Why can't you just play with her like Lily." Lincoln sighed, motioning his hand towards the preschooler currently stacking a set of blocks together with his other daughter, Liena.
"Pfff, she's already ten months old, Stinkoln. When I was her age I was already running laps around the backyard." Lynn waved him off, returning to her futile attempts, much to Loan's apparent dismay. Sighing, Lincoln got up from the bed and walked up to her, grabbing Loan from her hands and gently pulling her to his chest. The infant sighed a sigh of relief as she melted into her father's chest.
"Geez, she's a total daddy's girl on top of being unathletic." Lynn chuckled, standing up to stretch, "Just like her mother I guess."
"Not all of us are a smelly jock like you." He retorted with a smirk.
"Hey! Watch it! Or this jock will make sure you won't have any more kids." She warned playfully, flexing her defined bicep to highlight her point.
"Oh really. But then how will our own daughter come to be." Lincoln said with a sly grin on his lips, making Lynn instantly turn as red as her shirt. "Just kidding."
"Pfft, as if I'd let you ruin my sporting career like that anyway." She waved him off, though he could swear he sensed a hint of disappointment in her voice. Truth be told, he was well aware that his favoritism for the mothers of his children gave rise to feelings of jealousy among his other sisters. Yet, how could he not give it his all to raise the blessings his sisters bore. It felt like some sort of instinct deep within his psyche made him focus almost solely on his children. Lisa told him that his parental instincts were completely natural, but he still felt bad for neglecting his other sisters because of it.
With a sigh, one that expressed all of his frustration and exhaustion stored up since he first started on this difficult road, he gently laid Loan down in her crib. Lynn was turned to him with her back, seemingly deep in thought as she watched Lily and Liena playing together. Wrapping his hands around her chest, he felt her stiffen at first, but soon she melted into him. Her head turned to look at him, so vulnerable, so hungry for affection that it pained him. Never would he have thought he'd have such power over Lynn Loud Jr., the legendary athlete and the beast of snowy days, yet here he was.
"I'm sorry Lynn. I know I've been neglecting you, as well as the others. It's just, I'm still a just a boy Lynn, and I'm already a father." He flashed her a tired smile. "But I don't regret it one bit. So if one day, preferably when we've all graduated, you'd wanted to create a little sports star of your own then I'd be happy to oblige."
Within seconds the spark of life returned to her eyes, and once again she was that positive, energetic girl that didn't back down from any challenge. Swiftly she hooked her hand around his neck, pulling him closer and fusing his lips to hers. At this point, Lincoln was used to their sudden displays of affection especially from Lynn, yet this one still took him off guard with its sheer intensity and he found himself blushing like a schoolgirl.
"Haha, Lynn and Lincoln are smooching! I want to smooch too." Their passionate moment was interrupted by Lily excitedly pointing at them. Hastily they scrambled away from each other and hurried to silence their little sister. Both of them were so used to being left alone by their parents that they often forgot to check their surroundings. The only saving grace was that Lily was still young and naive so they could easily make excuses.
"These are special secret sibling smooches, so make sure not to tell anyone about it." Lincoln winked at his little sister as he kissed her cheek. "Hehe, don't worry, Lily will be silent as the grave."
He playfully ruffled her hair and she returned to playing with Liena. "Sorry Linc, I'll make sure to be careful next time." Lynn sheepishly apologized. "No Lynn, if I also paid attention I would have stopped you." He sighed, "We just need to be careful about this. Lola and Lana still don't know and I plan to keep it that way. They deserve a chance at having a normal life."
Lynn quirked her eyebrow. "What if they don't want normal life?" Lincoln turned to look at her, his face harsh and serious, making Lynn shiver.
"Lynn, I love you, but what we have is not normal and never will be. Our life will be full of hardship and sacrifices. You chose this path, you chose me, and I am willing to undergo these trials by your side as long as you want me to. But Lola, Lana, and the others deserve to live their life without this burden. Just the knowledge of our relationship would make their life significantly more difficult. So I am dead serious when I say they absolutely mustn't find out." He spoke without emotion, not like Lucy, but like a person who carried a heavy burden with him.
Lynn nodded and was about to apologize when a voice from their mother called them downstairs to the table for Thanksgiving dinner. Sharing a quick smooch, they picked up the two infants and broth them downstairs.
The dining room was already decorated to reflect the season with the classic paper turkeys hanging on a string above the window. The table was already set, with side dishes like mashed potatoes and green bean casserole already laid out. When Lincoln came down, holding Loan in his arms, all his were already seated. He gently put Loan into a baby chair next to Lori who gave him a quick peck on the cheek and took one of the two free seats next to Luan. Taking a glass of water that was placed on the table, he took a sip.
"Hey bro, are you excited for turkey? I personally can't wait to get some stuffing." Luan said giggling, catching Lincoln off guard, and making him choke on the water. "Cough, cough. Of course is. Though I prefer the wings." Lincoln tried to keep the conversation casual, though he could already feel the piercing gaze of Lori and Lucy looking at them. Sweating bullets, he quickly dug his nails into Luan's thigh underneath the table, stopping her before she said anything else. She squealed, giving him a playful look as she whispered into his ear. "Save that for our private time."
Rita gave them a quick glance, not understanding Luan's joke, though that wasn't unusual. Honestly, she was just glad her daughter eased up on the whole comedy thing as it meant that she spent more time home and was less likely to end up like her older sisters. Though Rita didn't have high hopes at this point. Shortly after, Lynn Sr. emerged from the kitchen, holding a tray with the turkey. He placed it down and took a seat next to his wife. "Looks wonderful honey, just as always." Rita complimented her husband, nodded towards all the food filling the table, and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Thanks, sweetie, though you should also thank the budding cook of our family. She basically made everything apart from the turkey" He said, nodding towards Luan, who suddenly looked to be embarrassed. Everyone around the table turned to look at her with astonishment. They knew Luan could cook, as she often reminded them with a pie in their face. However, looking at the wide array of mouth-watering dishes before them, they were surprised by just how much of a skilled cook their joker of a sister really was.
"Wow, Luan, when did you learn all this," Luna spoke first as she looked over the sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie situated before her.
"I...I did some part-time work at Dad's place since I have more time now that I quit the funny business. It was really fun and so I asked Dad if he could tutor me." She said meekly.
"So, you wanna become a chef? Like Daddy?" Lana asked, clearly perplexed by the change in Luans interests.
Luan looked at her but did not answer right away. She had been mulling over this exact thing for over a month, thinking about the direction her life would take. Ultimately, she decided cooking was something she enjoyed a great deal, and what more could a person want from their future job than to have fun doing it. "Yeah Lana, I guess I do."
"That's wonderful sweetie. I'm sure you can become the best chef in all of Royal Woods. Just remember to be careful around men." Lynn praised his daughter, but the venom in his last sentence was felt clearly by everyone at the table. "Anyway, we should start. I'm starving."
Swiftly, they said their thanks and dug into the food before them. The food tasted just as great as it looked and they made sure to let Luan know, making her blush furiously at the amount of compliments.
They ate mostly in silence, which has become a sort of norm as of late. On the outside, they still appeared as the same family they were before. A happy family with eleven lively kids, truly earning them their surname. But everyone who knew them for a long time realized the family had become 'less' loud during the last two years. It was as if an uneasy calm, the kind that predates a storm, presided over the family.
Trying to dispel the silence, Rita decided to initiate some small talk. "So, does anyone have something new going on? How about you Lincoln, how's your second year of middle school been going?"
"Well, I guess it's ok. It just isn't the same you know? Since Clyde left." He frowned, playing with the peas on his plate.
"I'm sorry son, I understand it must be hard on you. But look on the positive side, you still have your other friends. In fact yesterday I even saw Spoke's boy and the Zhau girl in the restaurant. Apparently, they were there on a date." Lynn recalled seeing the two kids coming into his restaurant, staring at each other with googly eyes.
Lincoln winced upon hearing that. Truthfully, after he practically rejected Stella, she stopped talking to him altogether. He was aware that at some point she started dating Rusty, and honestly, he was happy for them. But it also meant that Rusty basically cut his ties with him. "Actually Dad, me and Stella aren't friends anymore. I only really hang out with Liam and Zack nowadays."
"Aw, that's terrible Lincy. But I'm sure you'll find new friends eventually. In the meantime, you can hang out more with us." Lola chimed in. "Yeah, you barely hang out with us anymore." Lana backed her up.
"Haha, hear that Lincoln, your little sisters want their big brother's attention." Rita chuckled into her hand, using her other hand to ruffle Lily's hair who was also pouting at Lincoln.
"They're right son. I'm proud that you're so responsible and supportive of your big sisters, but you spend so much time with Loan and Liena that I'm afraid they will start calling you their father." Lynn added half jokingly, making Lincoln almost choke on the mashed potatoes he was eating. He laughed at his reaction and took a sip of cider, it was clear that he was starting to get tipsy, and that could be dangerous with their father.
Lori quickly decided to change the topic, lest it take a dangerous turn. "Anyways, I finally decided to enrol for a law degree program at Hazeltucky University. I should be starting in the spring semester."
"Ooh, and I got a job at the clothing store in the mall." Leni chimed in.
"Oh, that's fantastic sweetie. But who will take care of Little Loan while you're at school? She's still too young for daycare and we can't really afford anyone to look after her." Rita said. For the first time since Loan was born, a glint of something other than disappointment at her eldest daughters shone in her eyes. Lori couldn't help herself but smile at that.
"Well, actually me and Leni worked it out. I will attend class till the afternoon and Leni will have all her shifts in the afternoon so we can switch." Lori explained with Leni nodding in agreement. The rest of the dinner was uneventful. Lola boasted about an offer she got from a local marketing agency to promote a children's line of swimsuits, earning herself great applause from their parents and a few worried glances from her older siblings. Lana spoke in great detail of a new kid in school who owned a scorpion and several millipedes and begged her parents to let her acquire some herself, to which she was gently let down. Lisa revealed she was performing an immensely interesting social experiment, details of which she obviously didn't reveal to anyone but the siblings involved.
Eventually, Loan started to get fussy, prompting Lori to leave the table to console her, which essentially signaled the end of the dinner. The siblings retreated back to their perspective rooms, with Lincoln and Lucy staying back to help wash the dishes.
"I'm sorry about your friends," Lucy spoke suddenly, with an unusual hint of emotion in her voice, as Lincoln was putting the clean plates into the cupboard. He looked back at her, confused. "About Stella and Rusty leaving your friend group. I know it was because of me that your relationship with Stella soured. I heard rumors you let her down quite harshly the day I got booted out of my club." She clarified, her voice seeping with regret. It was obvious she was blaming herself for the pain her brother was experiencing due to the loss of his friends.
She stiffed as she felt his hand wrap around her shoulders, feeling too guilty to enjoy his affection. However, a trail of wet kisses up her neck, behind her ear made her too flustered to resist. "Lincoln, what are you doing?! Mom and Dad are still in the dining room." She whined in protest.
"True, but if you hadn't noticed, Dad already had four whole cans of cider and Mom already downed a whole bottle of wine throughout the dinner. So I doubt they'll mind me giving some loving attention to my sad little sis." Lincoln hummed, gently caressing Lucy's cheek. It was true, their parents have picked up an unruly habit to cope with the stress they have been going through lately. It greatly worried all of the Loud siblings, but all their attempts at reasoning with them ended in failure. The only saving grace was that both of them were 'awkward drunks'.
Lucy turned to look up at her brother, staring at her with those deep loving eyes, his mouth twisted in a gentle smile revealing his chipped buckteeth. His face was a window to his soul, a beautiful, kind, albeit a bit corrupted soul, just the way Lucy loved it.
She moved in closer, pursing her lips to meet his sweet lips. "Lincoln! If you're done, bring me and Mom the bottle of sparkling wine from the wine case." Their father called out, making them both jump and quickly separate in panic. Lincoln sighed in relief when he saw their dad was still in the dining room and gave Lucy a brief kiss on the forehead as he went to pick up the bottle. "Sure, Dad!"
After finishing the dishes and wishing Lucy goodnight, he finally reached the confines of his room. Closing the door, he instinctively stripped down to his undies in order to catch up on some comics he hadn't managed to finish, a habit he still maintained.
"Whoa Linc, getting straight to the 'meat' of things I see. Get it? Haha." Luan made her presence known to the boy, scaring him enough to slip and lean onto the door. Looking up he noticed that his room wasn't as empty as he thought. On his bed, clad only in her yellow underwear and holding a David Steele comic, laid his older comedian sister.
"Luan!? Wh...What are you doing?" he stammered, a deep blush spreading through his cheeks as he averted his gaze. He had seen Luan in her underwear and naked many times, yet the dirty feeling he experienced every time he did so still remained. Especially when his mind wasn't clouded with lust.
"Me? I'm just reading some comics, trying to show interest in my little bro's hobbies. And I decided to take your advice as to how to best enjoy a comic." Luan teased him with a confident smirk. She absolutely adored seeing Linc flustered, it was almost better than pranking him, almost.
Lincoln gulped audibly, he knew his sister well enough to know she was up to no good. He tried to discreetly pull up his jeans but was prevented from doing so by a pair of strings suddenly wrapping around and pulling his hands above his head. "Dang it."
Hearing Luans giggle he sighed in defeat, it was clear to him that it was too late to back out. When Luan really wanted some of his attention, she made sure she would get it.
Understanding his predicament, he decided to move onto the plan B, reasoning. "Luan, I know I've been too busy lately, but I don't think now is the ideal time. Mom and Dad are at it again and you know how unpredictable they can get..." unfortunately for him, Luan also had her way of countering his persuasion. A way that involved burying his face into her rather endowed bosom. While not as large as Lori's or Leni's, it was still big enough to swallow Lincoln's face, a fact she liked to taunt in front of her roommate.
"Hush Linc, you know there is no backing out once I set my mind onto something. You know, I really love how you try to be the best father-uncle to Loan and Liena. But because of that, you haven't been spending as much time with us." Luan murmured as she gently stroked her brother's head, still buried in her chest. "I know I shouldn't be jealous of my older sisters, but I've been feeling really lonely without you." She released him from her embrace and instead lifted his head to face her, her chocolate eyes staring at his steel blue eyes, reminding Lincoln of the first time he finally saw her as more than a sister.
Relenting, he closed his eyes and leaned in, his lips meeting hers halfway, intertwining in a passionate display of affection. Her tongue hungrily prodded his mouth, as if seeking to release all the pent-up frustration she accumulated from not having enough contact with her brother. Lincoln for his part allowed Luan to indulge herself, finding it adorable how needy she was being. Finally stopping to breathe, their mouths separated with a wet plop as a trail of saliva dripped down Luan's chin, which she didn't seem to notice or care about.
Breathing heavily, she put one of her hands into her soaked panties while using the other to support herself against Lincoln, still hanging by the threads around his arm. Trailing soft kisses down his chest, Luan lowered herself until she was on eye level with the tent formed in his underwear. Smiling mischievously, she hooked her hands around the waistband swiftly pulling them down. Only to be surprised by the fact that Lincoln's member already had a condom on it.
"What the..? How did you do that?" Luan looked up at Lincoln with a confused look. He smirked at her with a confident grin as he effortlessly slipped his hands out of the threads holding them in place. "You seem to forget this guy is the second-best junior magician in all of Michigan." He proclaimed, pointing at himself, "And a magician never reveals his secrets."
"Well, this was really 'Hard' to predict." Luan laughed as she wrapped her hand around and squeezed Lincoln's penis. "Who could have seen that 'coming'" she pumped her hand slowly up and down. They both started to laugh as they collapsed onto Lincoln's bed their laughs giving way to moans as they advanced their sinful union.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Lynn was finishing his last can of Cider, checking if the can was really empty before tossing it into the bind across the room. "Woooo" His wife cheered his perfect shot. Rita, herself, still held an almost empty bottle of wine in her hand. Taking a swig of the bottle, she checked the contents, determining it to be empty, and tossing the bottle aside.
"I never thought you'd become a wine mom." Lynn teased, pulling an arm around Rita. "And I never thought you'd become a couch potato dad." She jabbed him playfully to the side. Glancing at the wall-mounted clock, Lynn concluded it was time to head to bed. Steadying himself against the table, he rose from his seat and immediately leaned against it as a wave of nausea washed over him. He was always a lightweight when it came to drinking. As he tried to regain balance his hand slid over a soft circular object. Turning it over in his hand he immediately recognized it as Luan's scrunchie.
"Oh, she must have forgotten it here when she gave it to Liena to play with," Rita concluded when she noticed the object of her husband's interest. "Would you be a deary and go return it to her while I clean up this mess." She asked Lynn, giving his a small peck on the cheek as encouragement, which was very effective. Immediately straightening up, he gave her a playful spank on the butt, "Be prepared to face the consequences of your actions when I return." Before he ascended up the stairs.
Opening Luna and Luan's room, he was surprised to find the top bed was empty. Luan now slept on the top bunk so that Luna wouldn't have to climb the steps with her belly getting big. Luna was already snoring, her head hanging partly off the side of the bed, a drool running down the side of her mouth. He knew Luan wasn't in the bathroom as he had used it just moments ago to unload his stomach into the toilet. That meant he had no idea where she was, and that really terrified him. What if she sneaked out to party like Luna used to do? Or worse, run off with a secret boyfriend he suspected her of having.
"Lunes, Luna honey... Where is your sister?" He gently shook her awake, needing to ask her whether she knew of Luan's whereabouts. "Huh, what? I don't know pops. Probably with Lincoln. She always gets needy when she isn't with him often." She mumbled half awake, irritated by the sudden awakening.
Feeling relief knowing that his daughter was still home, he patted Luna's head and let her return to sleep. He didn't understand why she was in her brother's room, but he was still too intoxicated to think about it deeply. Closing the door behind him, he set for his son's room. However, as he approached the door, he heard a strange sound coming from the other side. A rhythmic wet slapping sound could be heard. Was Lincoln doing something unsavory with his thing? He was at that age all. But then why would Luan be there...
A cold shiver ran down his body as his drowsy mind managed to make a connection. An idea so heinous and disgusting he almost punched himself for thinking it. 'There is no way' he thought, his hand hovering above the door handle. His breathing was shaky and his hands were suddenly drenched with cold sweat. Mustering all his willpower, he turned the handle and entered the room.
Terror, that was the best word to describe the emotion filling him. Terror and fury. Before him, on Lincoln's bed, his two children were intertwined in a sinful union. Their sweaty bodies slamming against each other. Luan was lying on her back with Lincoln above her in a missionary position. They didn't seem to notice him as Lincoln continued to thrust his member into his sister, with Luan moaning his name in response. "Linc, you're so aggressive, you want to make another one of your sisters pregnant?" She teased, panting as he showed no signs of stopping.
That one sentence was enough to shake Lynn from his stupor. It all made sense now, Lincoln spending all his time with his sisters, all his daughters suddenly falling pregnant and refusing to give up on the child. It was because all this time they had their partner by their side. It was all his fault! It was because of this disgusting pervert that he called his son that his daughters lost their promising futures. It was because of him that all the people in town gossiped about them, laughing at the Loud family. It was because of him he had to endure the stares of pity and disgust from his friends and colleagues.
A spark of rage within him quickly grew into a flaming pyre and took his mind over completely. With a swift motion, he grabbed his son by his neck, throwing him with all his might from the bed onto his desk. His stomach made contact with the desk, the force causing his body to split the frame of the desk in half. A loud crack sound that alerted every inhabitant of the house.
"Lincoln!" Luan yelled with despair in her voice. She was shaken but one thing was clear to her, they screwed up.
"Ouch, what's..." Lincoln stammered out with a huff due to the intense pain shooting up his abdomen. Looking down, he saw a deep bloody gash slashed across his stomach made by a wood fragment from the desk. But before he could get his bearings, another blow struck him in the face with enough force to send him to the ground.
"What is happening?!" Lynn was the first to rush out of her room. The other sisters are right after her. Each of them rushed to the hallway in their pajamas, looking around frantically. Then they saw it and their hearts sank. In the open doorway to Lincoln's room, they could see their father, a man who never dared to raise a hand against his children, brutally beating their brother with blood staining his knuckles. Luan stood beside him, crying and thumping her fist into her father, begging him to stop.
"Get back to your rooms!" He yelled turning to them. All of the Loud sisters winced at the rage and venom staining his voice. The twins complied, too scared and confused to know what to do. The others remained standing, frozen with fear and shock. It was Lynn who steeled herself and rushed to tackle their father. "Don't you dare hurt him!"
With a cry she slammed herself into Lynn's stomach, knocking him away from Lincoln. Luan used it as an opportunity to approach her brother, kneeling next to him. She winced and a fresh stream of tears formed in her eyes when she saw his bloodied face. "I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry Lincy. I..I..oh god." She started to cry but Lincoln put his hand on her cheek, wiping her tears away.
"Luan, it's not your fault. We knew it would happen sooner or later. Just remember, it was always me who forced you into this." He said in a soothing voice. Luan didn't say anything, she just took his hand into hers and closed her eyes as she nodded.
Lynn Sr. Meanwhile managed to swat his daughter away, yet it seemed as if the blow was enough to end his uncontrollable rage. He looked down at his son, lying against the broken desk, his hand over the large wound. Then he looked to his daughters. Lynn was staring at him furiously. Lucy was crying with her face in her hands. Luna was clenching her fist and protectively holding her stomach with the other. Lori and Leni were looking at him with fear and disappointment. Lisa was simply downcast, refusing to look at him. And Luan was kneeling over Lincoln, holding him in a protective embrace.
"What's going on up here? Oh god!" Rita exclaimed in horror as she came upon the scene that unfolded, a wine bottle still in her hand. Lynn looked at her and shook his head with a remorseful expression. As if telepathically, she immediately knew what it all meant. She dropped the bottle as both her hands flew to her mouth, the shock making her sick.
"Lisa, patch up your brother. The rest of you, gather in the living room, now!" He commanded and without even looking at them, marched down the stairs with Rita in tow.
Hey, as always sorry for the wait. Things are still as busy if not even more as exams are approaching. Anyways, things are getting heated in past. Also the next few chapters will probably all be about the past timeline as I feel that the present timeline was going too fast.
