Yo for the 4 people who have been reading this thank you. I didn't mean to leave you hanging for 2 years. But IDK if I'm going to continue this. Either way it is going to be on hiatus for at least another month. I had a few chapters in the back pocket so I decided to post one. Also I want to update you on the state of this fanfic.

Chapter 20

"Hibiki! Wake up!!" I opened my eyes slowly to see Koakuma trying to shake me awake. I then, with the help of Koakuma, quickly got out of bed and got me ready for school. Before I left Koakuma threw me an orange before waving me goodbye along with Patchouli who just told me to have a good day. I meet up with Dai and the other fairies who wish me a good morning. Which I did the same. While we walked to school I ate my orange and realized the friend dynamic between the three. Cirno is the adventure's one and full of energy. Lily was always cheerful and can be kinda an air head at times but seems to be reliable. Dai is the quiet one and keeps the group together. And there's me… do I do anything for the group? The only reason I'm with them is because they were asked by Miss Kamishirasawa. Who kinda threatened them. Would they leave me if they had a chance? My head was swallowed by these thoughts. So much so that I didn't realize they made a turn while I was still going straight. None of them noticed except for Dai who had her hands full making sure Cirno didn't do anything stupid. While I was lost in thought a blinding light hit my eyes which snapped me out. I noticed that the reflection of light was coming from a seal crystal. I was going to pick it up but then another memory came to me before I could. A Spiky haired boy locked my pinky with his and said "Even if one of us forgets the other one will remember. That's what you promised me so long ago right!" The boy said that with confidence and a cheerful smile. I was so confused. It didn't feel like the other memory I've been getting. It feels like it wasn't just a memory but that actually happened right now. I was in a daze trying to piece together what I just saw. Dai called out for me and finally found me. I thanked her and apologized for wandering off. Dai signed and said "Just promise you won't do that again". I nodded and we continued. For some reason I felt happy instead of sad, maybe because Dai went after me so maybe she does care. Thankfully we didn't arrive late and got to our seats with time to spare. The class was empty excluding the 4 of us. Which was kinda concerning. When Keine walked into class she was surprised and said "you know you didn't have to come in today right? Only Hibiki needed to be here. That being said, I have news for the 4 of you. You'll all be taking part in the Shichi-Go-San festival". They were shocked. Crion and Lily were upset. Crion cried "WHat!? but I thought we were off tomorrow!" Keine signed and said "You're actually off today" As soon as Ciron heard that she was the first one to leave all excited, Lilly followed. Dai was hesitant to leave since they had to take me with them. We asked Kenie if Dai should go with them but she said "You can go to Dai, Hibiki and I need to have a talk." We said our goodbyes to each other and Dai left to catch up with the others. "Now then" Kenie said before handing me back my exam. I couldn't understand what you wrote when it came to the science section of the exam. You've earned a perfect score on the Math section but received a zero on the Japanese section. That was mostly because you didn't answer the majority of the questions. For the Physics packet I gave you. It was clear you technically knew how to answer the question but you didn't know what the question was asking you. right?" I nodded and she continued " For Chemistry I couldn't figure out what you wrote. I asked Hieda, Patchouli, and Sanae but they didn't know. Sanae never responded but that is besides the point. Hibiki, do you know how to write?" I wasn't sure myself. Before I could answer. Sanae came in slamming the door open and out of breath she said "I made it.". Kenie signed and said "you're actually late but more importantly can you understand what Hibiki wrote?". Sanae took a look at it, shrugged and said " I can't read". Kenie replied in disappointment " I guess I'll just have to ask you each short answer question verbally. Since Sanae is here, let me ask you this question. How is Fire naturally formed?". I don't remember all the details but " When energy is super charged by a chemical reaction" I said with little to no confidence. Kenie looked confused by what I was saying and Sanae closed her eyes and nodded her head. Before Keine spoke Sanae said " Ya I guess that makes sense. I'm not that good at science or anything but I guess that makes sense." Kenie then asked " Is this language something from your world?". Sanae waved her hand and said " No way. Hibiki didn't even know what technology is, she can't be from my old world.". Kenie then put my test away and said " I'll just make the assumption that your academic level is on par with the other fairies and move on. This should make things easier and Hikibi please try to learn the written part of this language. If you have any trouble please feel free to ask me anything" I thanked her and Sanae flew me back to the mansion.
