Sorry if these updates take long than you would like. Things tend to get a little slow. Hopefully some of these will take less time than others.
Here, Gus lies to Triple LN about getting their ban lifted from Hexside so they can show up Mattholomule. Also, Lucia learns her own glyph spell.
It was another day at Hexside, and Gus was in a classroom holding a meeting for the Human Appreciation Society. On the desk were various items of the human realm, which were incorrectly labelled. Among them are a cheese grater labeled 'nail clippers', a bag of chips closed with a flip phone labelled 'whoopie cushion', an upside down umbrella hat filled with leaves labelled 'food bowl', a Rubik's Cube labelled 'weapon?', and a paper clip labelled 'pay-per-clorp'. Although, the last one was the closest thing that was correctly labeled, despite the incorrect spelling.
"Behold. The wonders of the human realm," He began as he picked up the paper clip. "This little fella's one of their most valued objects. It aids in the compiling of printed wisdom, the scratching of gunk from under your nails, and my favorite… It even mimics the sounds of the human ocean." He demonstrates as he proceeds to twang it, and it causes him to sigh in relief, "The human realm. So beautiful." He walks over to the chalkboard, "It's safe to say that the pay-per-clorp is a stunning testament to human ingenuity. Any questions?" He turns around to face the rest of the club, which consists of Iva, Eileen, Bo, Apollo, and Mattholomule; all looking rather bored.
Eileen is a humanoid demon wearing the potions track colors with her hood up and gray boot. Her entire head consists of one giant eyeball with a yellow sclera, a magenta iris, and three large eyelashes. She also has turquoise hair with long bangs on either side like Lucia's.
Bo is a girl who has pale cream skin, dark brown eyes, five freckles across her nose, and long brown shoulder-length hair with some strands lying in front of her pointy ears. Her track was Healing course and she wore high-heeled boots.
Apollo is a goat-like biped demon with one eye, one horn, and white fur. His Hexside uniform consisted of gray boots, and the colors indicate that he is in the Bard track.
Mattholomule is the boy who enlarged his head at the covention. He is a short, thin kid with beige skin, dark brown eyes, and straight brown hair shaved at the sides. He also has his cowl on his head, and his track is Construction. His fellow club members were so bored, they were falling asleep, but he raised his hand.
"Ah! Our newest member: Mattholomule," Gus called out to him.
"A-Augustus, is this what the president of the Human Appreciation Society thinks passes as 'Human Artifacts'?" He quoted in disbelief as the objects from his point of view were junk. Gus looked confused as Mattholomule stood with a bag, "Because at my old school," He pushed aside Gus' stuff and he panicked and ran up to the table, "We had real treasures."
Mattholomule empties his bag onto the desk, dumping out a rock painted to look like a cell phone, an egg with a skull painted on it, a shoe made out of mud, leaves, and twigs, and a pair of headphones made of wood, grass and a pair of mushrooms. They're labelled 'cellular phone', 'human skull', 'sports footwear', and 'headset' respectively, and the other members of the club gasp and lean closer to them.
"So real." Iva looked down in awe.
Apollo agreed with her, "Wow!"
"I—I wanna touch them," Bo told Mattholomule.
"Go ahead," He encouraged them. "In my club, we didn't have any dumb rules," He jerked a thumb to Gus.
The boy gasped sharply, and he caressed his rule list. "Shh. He didn't mean that..." He glared at the other members fawning over Mattholomule's 'artifacts', and takes them away.
"Hey!" Apollo protested.
Bo followed, "What?"
"The heck, man?" Iva remarked.
"Well, this isn't your club." He remarked as everyone glared at the boy as he slammed the mud shoe on the desk, "Thankfully," Gus crossed his arms.
"Exactly, who thinks I should be president?" Mattholomule asked the others and raised a hand.
Eileen grunts as Iva looks in agreement, "I'm with my cousin here." Iva points her thumb at her. She gave a look of pity towards Gus, "Sorry, Augustus. But I think some change would be for the best." Eileen nods in agreement with her.
"Iva!" Gus was astonished.
"Mattholomule for prez." Bo agreed with the girls.
"I'm an undecided voter," Apollo answered with his arms crossed, "I wanna touch all the objects first."
As everyone talks over while looking at the 'artifacts', Gus picks up the 'cellphone', "These are fakes." He told them, making Mattholomule flinch.
The others gasped, "What?
Mattholomule stuttered a bit, "You can't prove that!" He takes a breath and fixes his hair. "You're just trying to distract these human appreciators," He gestured to them, and leaned on the desk. "You're afraid of getting kicked out of office. It's your word versus mine."
"Sounds about right. What's your say, cuz?" Iva asks Eileen, who mumbles in agreement.
"Well, I don't know what to believe in anymore," Bo gave Apollo her answer.
"My faith in Gus has been broken."
Gus walks backwards into the chalkboard and looks at a newspaper clip with pictures of Luz, Luis, and Lucia on it. Then he had an idea, "What if I brought in experts?" He smiles back at them.
"Yeah, right," Mattholomule scoffed as he leaned in to the others. "Who can you find that's a bigger human expert than any of us?"
"How about not one, not two, but three real humans?" He challenged as he held up his fingers.
Iva snapped her fingers in recollection, "Oh, yeah. Weren't there rumors of humans on the Boiling Isles?" She asks them, and Eileen mumbles that remembers too. "And come to think of it, they do often hang with Augustus and Willow."
"Why the secrets?" Bo asks the girls.
"Show, don't tell, man!" Apollo exclaims in excitement.
"Yeah. Uh-huh," Mattholomule was unconvinced as he crossed his arms. "A-And you've never brought your friends here. Why?"
"Well, they're busy. They've got jobs," Gus shrugged at them. "But I'll bring all three of them tomorrow. They'll prove I'm right," He said confidently.
Mattholomule scoffed as he still didn't buy it. "Sure you will, Augustus. Sure you will." He reiterated as Gus' face grew visibly nervous.
Season 1 Intro
The portal door appears and opens showing Luz, Luis, and Lucia seemingly going through the sky upwards, but they were actually falling. Eda rescues the human trio, and along with King, appear flying the Owl Staff, in the direction of The Owl House.
Afterward, it then showed Hooty at the front door, which opened to show Luz twirling the staff until Eda took said staff back with Luz getting nervous as Luke and Lucia smirk at her before King pops up in front to wave with his arms outstretched.
Then a mural appears with Willow, Gus, and Amity in three frames, with Willow making a heart with her hands, Gus holding out his arms in celebration, and Amity just turning her back with crossed arms.
King appears holding a stuffed rabbit, along with many other stuffed animals around. He pretends to rule these stuffed animals, until some of them fall on him.
Triple LN are Eda's staff flying over Bonesborough, where they meet the big-nosed prisoner, Tinella Nosa, and give high-fives to Willow and Gus. Then, Eda and King appeared while running from the guards before the Noceda trio helped them escape only to lose control of the staff, and they appeared safe… until they hang on for dear life as a massive monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them as they scream in horror.
Then five of them are seen on the roof of the Owl House, where the three humans cast their Light Spell, making them go into the night before they each explode in a bright light with "The Owl House" logo appearing with the Light spell streaking across it with background sounds.
In the Owl House living room, the girls and Eda are rummaging through boxes for things to sell as Luis sets down a stack of more boxes, while King is laying on the couch as Gus told them the story.
"So, just to review," Lucia spoke to him as she closed a box. "Some jerky new member of your human appreciation club is winning over the hearts of your fellow members with garbage posing as artifacts and is threatening to take over your role as president? Is that your issue?"
"Exactly!" The young boy confirms her assessment, "You three gotta help me!"
"Gus, we'd love to go to school and help you, but I don't know how we can," Luz looked sympathetically at him and pointed to their banned posters. "Principal Bump banned me from Hexside."
"But nothing," Eda interjected next to Lucia, who glanced at her. "Bump did you guys a favor. There ain't nothing for you at that dweebus factory," She then glanced at Gus. "No offense, dweebus." She felt a smack behind her head, and looked at a scowling Lucia.
"It's okay." Gus assured the older girl, "I come from a long line of dweebuses."
Luz slammed down her box, "Well, I for one would love to go someday." She stated, standing up as she faced down at Eda, "Better than unpacking boxes in the 'Eda Coven'!"
"Personally, I saw this as the 'Deadbeat Loser Coven'." Luis added as he cracked his neck.
"Oh, you think you're clever, huh?" Eda stood up with her hands on her hips.
"Ooh!" King jumped on some of the boxes, "Fight, fight, fight!" He hollered behind Eda.
"Can it, King!" Eda said, causing him to stop. Then she looked at the humans, "First off, it's the 'Bad Girl Coven'." She bragged to the three of them.
"Really? More like the 'Posers Trying too Hard to be Cool Coven'," Lucia deadpanned at the Owl Lady.
"I don't recall asking you." Eda retorted back at her. "And second off, I guess you don't want in on the T-shirt order, huh?" She pulls out a piece of paper with a t-shirt drawn on it, with a ridiculous drawing of Eda riding her staff like a skateboard. Luis takes the paper and slams a fire glyph on it, turning it into ash. Everyone looks at the ashes, and Eda scowls at the boy, "Okay, that was rude. What was that for?"
"I think he's made the point of how none of us care about T-shirts, Eda! We want to learn magic, and they teach that at Hexside!" Luz sighed and held a hand to her head, "Look, we'll admit your 'teachings' have been helpful and all, but it goes without saying you don't even know how to teach magic."
"And anything is good as long as we do actual witch work," Lucia crossed at Eda, and she looked offended.
"What's that supposed to mean?" The Owl Lady asked in annoyance.
"It means that each day wasted with you feels a little less like training to become witches, and a little more like stalling to gain free labor." Lucia elaborated on how they're no closer to learning magic than when they first arrived.
"What did you expect?" Luis had his hands on his hips, "That's what we get for getting stuck with a crackpot teacher who's liked to exaggerate everything here since day 1, starting with how you're supposedly the most powerful witch here." Luis's comment made her scowl at them harder. "Yeah, that's right. I said it."
"Really?" Eda inquired with her arms crossed at his attitude, "A trio of humans is gonna question me about my status?"
"Yes. Because we can actually pay attention to what's going on around us. Take back to the covention, for example." He reminded them of Eda's battle with Lilith.
"What about it?" Eda asked in disbelief. Despite what they saw back then, they still doubted her. "You two saw for yourselves what I'm capable of. I could defeat any member of the Emperor's Coven in my sleep." She bragged to them.
"Yeah, in your dreams maybe." Lucia dismissed, causing her to scowl at her. "I'll admit, you're powerful and have skills for high-level magic. But you'd rather waste your talents for personal gain, and you limit yourself as a trash-collecting conwoman." The eldest child elaborated to her.
"Oof," Gus commented, clearly seeing the disrespect that they have for Eda.
"Not to mention you're pretty full of yourself for someone who bases their victories on blind luck," Luis told her, still feeling unimpressed by the duel in the end. "I wouldn't say that you defeated Lilith in your duel. It was close, but your sister was one move away from finishing you off at the end, and you played with her sentimentality and threw a bag of chips in her face," He reminded her that her 'victory' was nothing more than a fluke. "You're sister Lilith should've known you'd resort to cheap tricks when things get too difficult. She was just careless in letting her emotions get the better of her, nothing more."
Eda stared at the two in disbelief at how they doubted her status. She then looked at Luz, "Don't…tell me you think the same way, Luz."
"I know you don't wanna hear it, but my brother and sister have never steered me away before," Luz spoke truthfully to her about how she's siding with them. "And when they speak the truth out like that, they're never wrong. You should know that by now, right?"
"I mean, yeah, well...ugh!" Eda grunts as she walks towards the door. "I don't wanna hear another word about Hexside. Unless it's 'Hexside is on fire,' and 'Let's grab front row seats!'" She slammed the door behind her.
"Aw, look what you did. That definitely made your top moments of belittling Eda," King said, though he hardly felt any sympathy for her. "I'm gonna go rub it in!" He laughed as he raced after her.
"Sorry about that, Gus. Eda is just being...well, Eda," Luz explains their teacher's stubbornness as she sits on the couch in exasperation.
"G-Guys, about the ban, I, uh… used my H.A.S. presidential authority to pull some strings. You've been given a full pardon!" His excuse got their attention, and they looked at him in surprise.
"You mean…" Luz looked at him in wonder.
"I got the ban lifted!" He forced a smile to hide that he was lying.
"Oh, my gosh!" Luz got up and grabbed Gus by his collar, shaking him. "Yes, yes, yes! Of course we'll be there tomorrow!" She stood up on the couch. "Gus, this will be great!" She continued jumping up and down on the. "We get to see the school and save the president."
"Great! I'll see you guys tomorrow!" Gus stood up and headed out the door. When he closed it, he jumped in celebration. "Yes! You did it, Gus!" He started a victory dance, "You did it, Gus! You're the smartest, you're the best!"
"Sweet moves, little dude," Hooty said to get his attention.
Gus looked up at Hooty and yelped, forgetting his presence. "I always forget you're there."
"I forget I'm here too..." He tilted his head a bit, smiling towards Gus. "Boop."
Gus just stared at him in awkward silence. Then he smiled in glee, "This is gonna work out after all."
The next day at Hexside, Gus and Willow were waiting outside for Triple LN. And he had just told Willow about his plan, "This isn't gonna work out at all."
Gus rubbed his head, "Well, I feel like I took care of any potential problems."
"You lied to our best friends and told them you got the ban lifted!" She scolded him about the major hole in his plan, "That seems like a potential problem to me."
"You don't understand," He defended himself for being in this situation. "The members were going mad. They were bloodthirsty. They were touching objects. I had no choice!"
"Really?" Willow had her hands on her hips and gestured to the building. "What about all the wanted posters around school?"
Gus smirked as he pulled the wanted posters out of his bag, "What wanted posters?" He puts them back and pulls out three cowls. "I also got these. To keep them undercover."
"Keep who undercover from what?" Luis asks as he and his sisters came from behind him with Luz's hands behind her back, and Lucia's were pocketed.
The young boy slams the cowls on them, and only Luz's was backwards on her head as she squeaks in surprise. "Behold your new cowl."
"Whoa. I love it," Luz told him as her siblings were a little weirded by his sudden action. Gus turns the cowl around and pulls her hood down, and she sniffs it with a smile, "On the Boiling Isles, new things smell old."
"Thanks. I guess…" Lucia told him, as she was still suspicious about this, "But are these necessary?"
"Yep. Put it on. Hide your ears," Gus answered them with a nervous chuckle, "Wanna keep you under wraps till the big reveal." Willow gave a deep frown at Gus about his plan for lying to them.
"Oh, a showman." The youngest Noceda smiles clearly, not knowing he was lying, "I totally get it. You bring the razzle…" Luz puts on her hood back up, "We'll bring the dazzle." She releases confetti from her hands.
Willow and Gus stare at her in confusion, "Do you always have confetti on you or…"
"Seriously, you guys conjure your own belongings from out of nowhere, and you ask when she keeps confetti?" Lucia asks a rhetorical question to their friends. "I mean, who hasn't misused their personal pocket dimension in these cartoons? Magic or no magic," They continued staring at them with further questions to ask.
But Gus snaps out of it with his watch biting his wrist. He pokes it in the eye to make it stop. "That's my alarm. Uh, we better get going," He grabs Luz by the hand and leads her away. "See you after school, Willow."
"Bye, friend. Be safe. Make good choices," Luz called out to her as her siblings followed.
"See you later." Luis waved bye to her, and his sisters smiled.
Willow waves back at him, but snaps out of it with a worried look, "Oh, Gus. I hope you know what you're doing."
At the Owl House, Eda is outside picking a blue flower. "Who do those two think they are, talking to me like that?" She asked as she still couldn't believe the disrespect they gave her after everything they've been through. "They need to know I'm trying to protect them. I dropped out of school and have worked my way up from nothing to get where I am today. So for them to constantly diss me?" Eda ridicules the older teens for the daily back sass they give her. "If anything, they should be thanking me. Hexside chews up anything unique and spits out bland mush," She rips the flower apart.
"I chew insects. I turn them into mush," Hooty remarks as insects fly around them.
"But that's my beef." Eda continued sulking as Hooty looked at the bug, "Do they need to draw their own conclusions? I mean, Luis and Lucia do that enough for all of them, but do all three need to?"
"My beef is insects. They're what I eat," He continued looking at the flies.
"You're just gonna be unhelpful, huh?" She smirked up at him.
"All I know is, you taught me and I turned out just fine." He sticks out his tongue in an attempt to get the fly walking next to his head, making a gagging sound.
Eda watches in horror at the realization that she isn't cut out to be anyone's teacher after all, if Hooty is the best result of her teachings, "…I gotta get those three into school."
Back at Hexside in the hallway, a young Beast Keeper student was being levitated by his backpack, "Whoa!" It flew off of him, and he fell on the floor, and the bag floated between another Beast Keeping student and an Oracle bird demon, "Hey! Give that back!" The boy tried to get it back, but the other two laughed as they played keep away with his backpack.
The game was brought to a halt when the tall Beast Keeper was dragged away by a hook by a school guard with an upside-down skull face. The guard sniffs at him, "Trouble…"
The backpack was dropped to the ground as the Oracle student started to back away in fear. It was too late to escape as he was pulled back by a hook as well. "No! Detention!" He shouted as both of them were being dragged away.
"The only thing I'm guilty of is being too real!" The tall boy protested.
"Ask me, they're really guilty of being jerks." Lucia deadpanned as they came to witness the sight.
"Yeah. Gus, that's new." Luz agreed as she pointed at them.
"Well, they kind of showed up after your last visit," He answered nervously. "They smell trouble. Literally."
One of them looked in their direction, "Trouble…"
"Well, that's reassuring," Lucia admits, still looking slightly worried about them.
Luis raised an eyebrow as his group, "Yet at the same time, disturbing."
Gus chuckles as he pulls Luz, "Okay, time to run for no particular reason." As they run with the older two following them, Gus runs into Mattholomule who was drinking from a water fountain. All the wanted posters and his president crown fell out of his bag, and Gus tried to collect them all.
Mattholomule sneers down at the boy, "Augustus, you should really watch where you're going." He said in fake sympathy as he picked up and dusted off the crown. "Don't want the president of the H.A.S. getting hurt on his…last day in office." He then noticed Triple LN. "These must be your humans." He got close to inspect them, "Hmm. They look like witchlings to me." He backs away, and they narrow their eyes. But then Luis realized something about him.
"Hey! We know you," The middle child spoke as he recognized this kid. "You're that brain-dead chump from the presentation for the Emperor's Coven."
Mattholomule's cockiness was replaced with irritation by his comment. "Chump?"
"Oh, yeah." Lucia recalled him too, "That doofus who enlarged his head." Mattholomule blushed in embarrassment for that.
"Psst! Psst!" Gus got their attention, and they looked down at them. "Dazzle!" He clued them by pulling his ears.
"Oh!" Luz recalled and made trumpet sounds before they took off their hoods,"Ta-da!"
Mattholomule gasped at them, "Humans!"
"Not just any humans," Gus said, standing up next to them. "Expert humans."
"Yeah, we've been doing this for years," Luz crossed her arms.
"Not so cocky now, are ya, kid?" Lucia asked as they sneered at him.
"They're here to authenticate your treasures," Gus explained as he walked up to Mattholomule and took his crown back. The humans put their hoods back on as the four walked past him. "See you at the meeting."
"No, no, no!" Mattholomule panicked as he slammed his back against the lockers and slid to the ground. "They can't know I lied. Then they'll never make me president." He blinked as he saw three posters of the humans who were still banned. He picked them up, and he gave an evil laugh as he had an idea. "Oh, Gus, I have you now."
On the outside of Hexside, Eda is staring up at the building as wind howls. "Ugh. I had this nightmare before," She said in disdain before she walked inside.
"As president of the H.A.S., I should feel bad about dunking on one of our own members," Gus spoke up as they stopped. The two just smiled down at him knowingly. "But as a Gus, I feel like doing this!" He then started doing a victory dance. "Oh, oh, yeah! Oh, yeah, what, oh!" Luis and Lucia were amused as Luz noticed something.
"Sweet moves, G," Luis complimented.
Luz walked up to a trophy case. "Wow! Who got the trophy for the most bones?" She asked as Luis walked to the case next to her.
"That's what you're curious about?" He looked at the trophy next to it, "Who was the oldest student? And do they give a reward for that?" He asked as one of the guards walked by them and sniffed the air. Gus comes by and pulls them away and runs with Lucia following them.
"We don't have time for this right now." He told them as they kept running, "We gotta get to the clubroom!"
"Okay," Luz looked slightly disappointed, but perked up. "But next time, you have to give us a full tour."
"Yeah, next time." He gave an anxious laugh, which caused Luis and Lucia to eye him in suspicion.
They came to a stop as they saw Professor Hermonculus. "Ooh! It's the abomination professor. We should introduce ourselves!" Luz suggested to her siblings.
"That's probably a good idea." Lucia agreed with her, "The least we could do is apologize for the last time we were here."
"That's right. Hey, Mr. Abomination Professor!" The youngest Noceda called him as Gus winced. "The abominominator!" He turned around and saw them approaching. "Remember us?" They acted like abominations, and he raised a confused eyebrow.
"Maybe he'll recognize our dance," Luis suggested, and his sisters thought that might work. They began snapping their fingers, "Let's break it down. A one, two. A one, two, three—"
"Oh, wouldn't you know?" Gus interrupted them before they could start dancing, "We suddenly have time for a full tour of Hexside." Gus pushed them away.
In Principal Bump's office, Eda picked up one of the pencils from a demonic mug. "Been quite a while since I've sat here, huh?" She places the pencil on her top lip and reclines in the chair, crossing her feet next to Principal Bump's name plate. Bump wasn't exactly thrilled in the slightest to see her. "I gotta admit, it's extra weird without you yelling at me for picking fights or stealing."
"I can easily change that," He waved a finger, throwing her backwards onto the floor with a painful grunt. "What are you doing here, Edalyn?" He asked, adjusting the nameplate back.
She sat back up with an annoyed expression, but took a breath and adjusted her hair. "I want to..." She blew her hair out of her face. "I want to enroll my humans, Luz, Luis, and Lucia, at Hexside. And before you get all judgy…"
"That's not a bad idea," Bump agreed with no hesitation.
"You no-good…" She then became surprised that he actually agreed, "Wait, really?"
"I think the student body could learn a lot from having such exchange students," He said, walking to a cabinet. "Especially the older ones, which I hear are quite impressive in combat." She smiled, reclining on the chair again, "But before I even consider that, there's a lot to be answered for." He waved a spell finger to levitate her and turn her upside down on the chair. He then pulled out a large stack of files.
"Alright. Yeah, I heard all about that abomination incident," She admitted, adjusting her upper body as Bump sat back down.
"Oh, I'm not talking about Luz, Luis, or Lucia." He dismissed as he looked more stern at Eda, "I'm talking about the necrotic experiments, the graffiti, the scams, the cheating, Miss Jenkinmeyer's teeth!" Her eyes widened as she slowly shrunk in her seat, "The trouble you caused when you were here, Eda!" He slammed down all the files, revealing that all of it was her permanent record.
"Huh…" She said as she stared at the large stack. "I thought there'd be more."
Outside on what looks like a basketball court, Skara is on the pitch while Gus and Triple LN sat in the stands.
"This is where we play the sport," Gus informs them.
Skara runs at the ball, but screams as she is picked up by a griffin. "I hate this game!" The griffin drops her into one of the basketball hoops and a horn blares.
The quartet applauds at the sight, "That's a three-pointer!" Lucia shouts towards the field. "Winner: Griffin."
Gus notices a School Guard sniffing the air as he looks around. He grabs Luz's wrist and drags her away with Luis and Lucia following.
The four of them walk past a door, and Luz doubles back, "Ooh. What's in here?" She looked through the window.
"The Plant Homeroom," Gus answered as they looked through the window.
Inside the classroom were a bunch of plants, trees, and flowers being tended by various Plant Track students. One of them was Amelia, who had been standing next to a carnivorous plant as she held a clipboard. Suddenly, it opened its jaws and ate her, and she struggled to get out of its mouth, but Willow ran over and tickled the plant's stem. It laughed and spat Amelia back up, covering her in yellow saliva. Traumatized, she gave Willow a shaky thumbs-up.
"Willow, hey." Luz greeted as the humans waved to her, and she turned to wave back.
Gus looks through the window and smiles at her. "Hi." Willow's face falls, and she shakes her head disapprovingly at him. "Bye," He drags Luz away again.
"Hey, before we go, can I go to the bathroom real quick?" Luis asked the young witch.
"Yeah, I gotta go too." Luz agreed with her brother.
"Oh, it's right over there," He points in front of them, and they see a ladies' and men's restroom.
"Thanks. We right out," They went inside, leaving Lucia with Gus.
"You know what? I'm just going to pop in and say hi to Willow for a bit," Gus flinched as she opened the door to the Plant home room. "Be right out."
"O-Okay. But don't take too long," Gus told her as she closed the door.
As she walked towards Willow, she admired the beautiful plants in the room, regardless of their disproportion. "Nice little setup you got here, Willow." She startled the plant girl, and she looked behind her.
She sighed at the sight of Lucia, "Oh, Lucia, don't come up behind me like that." Lucia smiled at the plant girl as she readjusted herself. "What brings you in here?"
"What, a friend can't swing by and say hello?" She asked, but then gave a more serious look at her friend. "But I will say, Gus has been acting strange today. Do you know what's up?"
"Well…" Willow didn't know whether to tell the truth or have her and her family find out for themselves. Their attention was brought to a scream, and they saw Amelia dangling from her leg by a pitcher plant's vine.
"Why me?" She cried as she was hanging over it, and some students came to help her. "Why is it always me?!"
"Oh! Sorry, Lucia." Willow ran to help them.
Before Lucia could leave, she got an idea and took out her phone to record Willow saving her classmate with a plant spell. Like her and her siblings discovering a light spell, a new symbol appeared, resembling an upside-down flower. It had an upside-down triangle with a line across the bottom, resembling a flower head, connected to a line heading down to a circle at the bottom with a dot in the center. Two other lines stick out at the top of the circle, resembling leaves. With no more business to do here, she leaves the room and is met by the others.
"How are things with Willow?" Luis asked, and they heard more screaming from the room.
"Probably best we don't find out until after today," They continued the tour.
Gus shows them into a different room. "And this is where I spend my time. The Illusion Track Homeroom." It was full of mirrors, various cages, and books about showmanship and illusions.
The professor evaluates three students' illusions. Emira doubles the length of her legs. Edric changes his face, outfit, and hairstyle. The shaky third student ended up making her own face disappear. The professor draws a spell circle, and her face returns, and she takes a relieved breath.
Luz notices something across the hall, "Wait, if you're here, who is that?" She points to a classroom, where another Gus is sitting.
"That's one of my illusions. It takes notes for me when I'm not around," His twin holds up a paper reading 'I'm not paying attention.' As he laughs and points to it, the real Gus is seen to be not happy about it, "He doesn't always do what he's told." He starts to walk over to him.
"Wow, Gus. You're good." Luz complimented, stopping Gus in his tracks.
"Yeah. I moved up a couple of grades," Gus's watch screams again, and he silences it. "Oh! Time for the H.A.S. meeting."
They run off, and Gus' illusion watches them. He grew nervous when Gus returned, and mimes decapitation at his twin before casually walking away. With the fear of death in him, the illusion starts paying attention to class.
At the H.A.S. room, the members were starting to grow restless. With the exception of Mattholomule, all of them were eager for Gus to show up and present the humans. All were banging on the table. "Humans, humans! Humans, humans!"
"Human Appreciation Society…" He twangs the paper clip and steps on the stage, "It is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you…" They moonwalked into the doorway, spinning around, and Luz almost fell. Once she recovered, they took the hoods off, with the older two leaning on the walls. "The humans, Triple LN. Starting from the oldest, we have Lucia…"
"What's up?" She smiles at them.
"Luis…"
"Yo," He gives the students a peace sign.
"And Luz."
"Hi." She waves at them.
Eileen squeals in excitement, and Bo was impressed by their entrance, "Such showmanship."
"They're horrifying," Apollo said as they approached the desk.
Iva got a good look at them, "Hey! I know you three." She got everyone's attention as she pointed to the trio. "From Abominations class."
"Oh," Luis also had some recollection of her, "Iva, right?"
"You know them?" Asked Apollo in astonishment.
"Yeah, there was this whole thing where Willow had three Abominations, where they were these three coated in Abomination slime." She explained to the others as the humans looked a little embarrassed from remembering that fiasco.
"Sorry about all that." Lucia apologized on their behalf.
"Please. Don't apologize," Iva replied as she was content with what happened that day. "No month of extra homework, and I was entertained by the humdrum of boredom around here. You guys are really good dancers."
"Thanks. Now that that's out of the way," Luis was relieved that there wasn't any ill will from her, "Let's get to business." He states for wanting to get to why they came, and Mattholomule grows nervous.
"Will you three inspect the items now?" Gus asked, gesturing to the table.
"Of course, Mr. President." Luis answered him with a smile. "Allow us to determine if they're truly of our realm's origin," She stated professionally as she reached for the 'shoe'.
"Stop!" He shouted, stopping her, and knocked everything off the desk. "Don't make another move, humans!" He jumps onto the table and calms his nerves. "I...have something to say." He paused for a moment before giving his confession, "I'm new here at Hexside. M-Making friends has been hard, so...I lied. They're all fakes." Bo gasped, and Gus looked in shock. "I thought if I was important enough, people would like me, but...I've caused enough drama." The quartet glanced at each other. "So, I'll go. I'm sorry."
"Hey, man. Take it easy," Luis had a hand on his shoulder. "Just because you lied doesn't mean you have to leave."
"And there's no reason to lie so that people will like you," Lucia told him in a sagely manner. "They will if you're upfront with them, and if they're willing to accept you for who you are."
"That is so wise," Apollo admitted as the girls nodded.
"Yeah, it's okay," Luz shrugged as she understood where he was coming from. "You're only human." Her siblings looked at her weirdly as that was not an apt choice of words. "Well...you know what I mean."
"Mattholomule, you aren't alone," Gus smiled softly at him, getting over the misunderstanding. "You have a place here in the H.A.S."
"What he said, you're not alone!" Iva smiled at him.
"We admire your honesty," Bo told him.
Apollo agreed with everyone in the room, "You're one of us!"
"Thanks, guys," Mattholomule smiled at their acceptance. "I knew you'd understand."
In the hallway, Eda begins her long-awaited punishment, "Ugh, I don't wanna do this!" Eda gritted through her teeth.
"There's the whiny rebel teen I remember," Bump pats her back and hands her a mop. "You'll need this," They looked in front of them as they stood in front of a graffitied locker. "To clean up all the hexed graffiti you left us. Good luck," He walked off, and she stuck out a tongue at him.
She tried to clean it off, but the art just moved away every time she even got close. She tries moving the mop slower, and it moves slower. She tries to wipe the entire row of lockers, only succeeding in making all the graffiti combine and now reads 'Mother nooooo!' She tried to smack the mop against the lockers again, but missed. She let out a groan, knowing this was going to be a long day.
Back in the H.A.S. room, the meeting was over, and everyone was saying goodbye to the humans.
"Later, guys." Bo tells them as she leaves, "Thanks for coming."
"Come back soon," Apollo told them.
Eileen walked up to them and muffled. "Thank you."
"We hope to see you again," Iva left the room with her cousin.
"Hey, Augustus, Luz, Luis, and Lucia," Mattholomule looked up at the four of them, "Thank you for being so forgiving."
"No big deal." Lucia smiled at him, "We've all been the new kid before. Right, guys?"
"Been there." Luis shrugged his shoulders.
Luz followed up, "You said it."
"Yeah," Gus agreed.
"Well, I just have one thing to say..." The door is burst open by a pair of guards. "There they are!" He pointed to the humans. "They're the intruders!" He held up their wanted posters.
They marched into the room as one of them sniffed the air, "Trouble."
"No, it's fine." Luz held her hands up to them. "The ban's been lifted. Tell 'em, Gus," Before anything could be said, the three of them were grabbed by the crooks. "Ahh! Gus, tell them!" Luz shouted as they were dragged away.
"Oh, who's the lying chump now, Augustus?" Mattholomule looked smug as Gus was worried.
In the Plant Homeroom, Willow is watering the carnivorous plant, thinking about the events of today. "Maybe I've been too hard on Gus. I mean, what trouble could they get into?"
As if to answer her question, Luz's screams were heard. "Help!" The plant and Willow turn to the door through the window, seeing TLN being dragged off.
"Get your hook off us!" Lucia demanded of the guard, "We don't even learn here!"
Willow became worried, "Guys!"
"Where are you taking me?" Luz demanded as they were still being dragged away.
"Detention." He answers.
"Oh." Luz looked a little relieved upon hearing that, "That won't be so bad, right?"
They made their stop in front of a giant door with three closed eyes. It opens them, and the bottom of the door lifts up to reveal a mouth filled with sharp teeth.
"Okay, that's not good," Luis stated as they stared at it in fear.
Back in the H.A.S. room, Gus is shaking with anger over Mattholomule's stunt, "I can't believe you two fell for that. Like I'd actually apologize."
"What. Did you. Do?" He gritted his teeth in anger.
"Ah, boo-hoo. I'm sorry. 'I am the new kid. I want friends.'" He mocked him in a feigning innocent manner, "Ha! No. I want power. And I want drama. And I got one of those right now." He then got up in Gus's face and backed him against the wall. "So, what are you gonna do, Mr. President?"
Gus reared his right fist back and actually looked as if he was gonna punch him. "...Executive action," He was actually reaching out to the bell behind him and pulled its tongue.
"Ow!" It went off and soaked the boys in water.
Later, the two of them were drenched as they were being dragged away by a school guard, "But I didn't pull the alarm!" Mattholomule protests for his 'innocence', "It was Augustus! Are you even listening to me? I demand justice!" As the guard drags them away, Willow peeks around a corner as they pass.
The detention door growls and opens its mouth again as Gus and Mattholomule are tossed inside. The detention chamber had large slash marks on the walls and columns, as well as large pieces of rubble on the ground.
"Wait!" Mattholomule ran to the door only for it to close, and helplessly banged on it. "Get me outta here! Open up!"
Gus widened his eyes when he saw his friends, "Guys!"
"Gus!" Luz called out, hiding behind a few rocks as the other two were just sitting on them. "You said the ban was lifted!"
"You did get it lifted," Luis asked, as he felt his and Lucia's suspicions were being confirmed. "Right?"
Gus's face was plastered with guilt, "Well, I—"
"Wait, before anything…" Lucia and Luis stood up, and they walked over to Mattholomule, and she picked him up by the back of his collar. "Let's take a moment to deal with this one."
"Even though Gus lied," The illusionist flinched even though Luis kept his glare on Mattholomule. "You're the real cause of getting us in this mess."
"What are you gonna do about it, beat me up?" Mattholomule stuck out his tongue. He yelped in pain as Luis held his tongue in his kung fu grip.
Luz and Gus cringed as Luis and Lucia gave Mattholomule an off-screen beating. The boy cries out in agony as they dish out the physical punishment he deserves and Luz has her mouth covered and Gus looks in fear at the sight. After they are finished, Mattholomule is laid on the ground in an uncomfortable position, sporting a black eye, a swollen cheek, and a couple of missing teeth.
"Phew." Lucia breathed out as she cracked her fingers in satisfaction. "Honestly, I was hoping to do that when we saw him earlier."
Before they could go back to questioning Gus, the ground cracked open at his feet. The crack widens until nearly the whole room is a hole, revealing teeth, eyes, and blue tendrils and pods, inside of which are students.
"Ay dios mío!" The Nocedas screamed at the sight.
In the cafeteria, Bo sees the doors open and a cloud of fog rolls in. A grim Eda enters, carrying a bag of ghosts falling onto the floor behind her, and she dumps it at Bump's feet as he looks satisfied.
"There," She grimaced as she was not happy about doing this. "The girls' changing room is ghost-free."
"Are you ready to give up?" Bump teased as he pulled some ectoplasm from her hair. "You've barely scratched the surface," She responded by turning away with a growl, and looked back to see Bo and Skara.
"No, like this," Bo summons a fireball, and then it turns into snow and splats on the table.
"Oh," Skara copied her and got the same result. "Wow." Skara said, and the two of them hugged each other. "Friendship is the real magic."
"They're just as bad as Luz. She'd love it here, especially with her brother and sister." Eda smiled and turned back to her old principal. "Alright! What's next, Bumpikins?" She rubbed her hands together. He smiled and held up a toilet plunger, causing her to groan and ball her fists.
Back in the detention chamber, the human and Gus stayed in the corners of the pit that had opened up and was threatening to kill them. Luz still hid behind the rock, and the others were against the walls.
"How is this detention?!" She exclaimed as this was more than a little overkill, "This is a death sentence!"
"I don't know! I've never been in detention before!" Gus calls out to them as he clings to the wall.
"Welcome to my world." Mattholomule clung next to Gus as his face was still bruised. "Believe it or not, at my old school, I was in detention plenty of times."
"That isn't hard to believe in the slightest," Luis said, as he and Lucia were next to the boys. "You're kind of a little prick."
"Well, down in detention, this prick is king," He bragged to the quartet. "So, if you wanna get out, you better do exactly what I say. But first, before anything else, we gotta—" He yelps as a snake rises out of the hole and wraps a blue tendril around Mattholomule's ankle. "Already?" He screams as he's dragged down to the pit.
"Well, that didn't last very long, did it?" Lucia snarked as she looked down the hole.
"You lied to us." Luz looked at Gus, "You lied about the ban! Why?"
"I was afraid. I acted stupid," He confessed.
"Yes, you did!" Luz scolded him.
"Hey, take it easy on the kid, Luz. After all, this is no different than something you'd do," Lucia defended Gus, considering Luz would do the same thing, and she flinched at it.
"Being younger than everyone is hard." He began to explain as the three made their way over to Luz. "You're overlooked. Ignored. But at the H.A.S. I mattered. I could make sure no one would ever get left behind." They looked at him in sympathy as he told them how much his club meant. "I didn't wanna lose that. I'm sorry."
"I get it." Luz assured, placing a hand on his shoulder, "I know how you feel. It was difficult for me to be the youngest of three. I'm just lucky to have them around to watch my back."
"Tell me about it. I can't tell you how much trouble this one caused because of it," Luis points to Luz in recollection. "Like how she 'borrowed' my board to try some tricks, and twisted her hand."
"Or how she tried to patch something on my sewing machine, and accidentally stitched her finger." Lucia reminded her, and it caused her to flinch.
"Th-That was ages ago," Luz squeaked out.
"It was three months ago, and it all happened within one week," Luis deadpanned at her sister.
"Uh… A-Anyway," Luz stuttered as she focused on the point of the conversation, "I just wish you told us the truth."
Gus smiles at them, and they hear a hissing sound and look to see several snakes slithering up the hole. "Let me make it up to you guys. I've got a plan."
Three snakes hissed as it rose out of the hole, and the humans attacked it back in.
"Nice," Lucia smirked at Luz.
"Thanks. I picked up a few things from watching your sparring sessions." Luz smiled up at her siblings, "I can't have my brother and sister be the only fighters in our family forever." She smiled in determination at Gus, "And you can count us in. Where do we start?"
"By leaving no one behind." He grabs Luz's hand and jumps into the hole. The other two looked at each other and shrugged, following them in. They landed on an eye and bounced off it, Luz and Gus falling on the ground as Luis and Lucia landed safely on their feet. "How come that stuff is so much easier for you guys?"
"Eh… That kinda stuff is nothing new for us." Lucia explains that they do that stuff all the time. "Martial arts, gymnastics, parkour; it's important to stay strong in the fundamentals."
Once they stood up, they saw a bunch of pods with students trapped inside and quickly pulled down Mattholomule's. The pod spoke to the lifeless student, "You will be a good student."
"I will be a good student." He repeated as he was in a trance.
"Well, this is creepy," Luis was weirded out, yet amused at the same time. "Sure we can't leave him like this?"
"No, we are not." Luz tries to bite the pod to free him, but it was no use. "You know, it didn't taste as bad as I thought it would." Her siblings looked at her strangely, "Don't judge. Oh, you're a witch." Luz recalled as they looked at Gus, "Do magic."
"Oh! I'll use magic," He pulled out the paper clip and unfolded it. "Human magic." He pierced through the pod with it and then cut open the cocoon.
"Am I...a good student?" Mattholomule asked in a daze.
"Not even in the slightest, little man," Luis told him bluntly as he held him over his shoulder.
Before they could escape, several snakes hissed as they surrounded them. "This is part of the plan, right?" Luz asked in worry.
"Or the illusion of a plan." Gus draws a spell circle, then puts his hand in it and drags it through the air, making several others appear. It allowed him to make duplicates of himself, Luz, Luis, and Lucia appear. A snake flicks its tongue at one illusion of Gus, making it disappear, causing it to hiss.
"A genius and a wordsmith." Luz compliments as Gus picks up a giant bone. "Time to go." The snakes were distracted, but before they could run, Lucia stopped them by grabbing Luz's shoulder.
"Hold on. I think it'd be faster getting out of here with a new trick I picked up," She said, making them feel confused.
"What trick?" Luz asked.
Lucia looked around, and then at her feet as she dug into the ground. She smirked as she kneeled down, "Why not?" She began tracing the symbol she discovered in the dirt. The others gathered inside as it was big enough for them to stand in, "That should do it."
"Wait, Luis discovered a glyph for fire magic. What will this do?" Gus asked.
"We're about to find out. And if this does what I think, not only will it get us out of here, it'll help spruce up this place." Lucia told them as she glanced at her surroundings. "There's a thing called redecorating 'cause, dang." Luz and Gus looked at each other in disbelief, not being able to tell if she's joking or if she's serious about how she thinks that's the main issue here.
Lucia pressed the symbol, and it started to glow green, and giant flower buds popped out of the ground, launching all of the kids over the edge to the hole with Lucia and Luis landing safely, and Luz, Gus, and Mattholomule on the sides and/or faces. They even watched as the buds turned into a beautiful dahlia bouquet sprouting in the hole.
"Wow!" Luz was in awe as she stared at the flowers. Then she looked towards her sister, "How'd you do that, Lucia?"
Before she could answer, a snake appeared out of the hole, and Lucia punched it. "How about we escape, then I take questions?" Seeing as that was the best idea, they join her in fighting off the snakes.
Gus hits one with the bone, then runs for the exit. "We're gonna have to bust down the door."
"Right behind you." They ran after him as Luis still had Mattholomule.
Three snakes follow them out of the hole, hissing. They take hold of the bone, and they both run for the door, screaming as they charge, with the snakes hissing.
Outside of detention, Willow nervously looks around as she approaches the detention door. She starts straining to lift the crossbar off the door, managing to get it half off before freezing when she hears someone approaching.
"I washed off all the graffiti," She recognized the voice belonging to Eda and saw her as Eda walking down the hallway Bump. "Apologized to Miss Jenkinmeyer for stealing her teeth. Caught all the wild cerebi." Even though the day was complete torture for her, she managed to pull through for the sake of her students. "Ah, we should be good."
The two shook hands, "It will be very exciting to have real human exchange students." Principal Bump thinks her students have earned a place at Hexside.
"And you won't tell the Emperor's Coven about this, will you?" Eda asked cautiously, thinking about what would happen if the Emperor's Coven found out about her students.
"No. Hexside School is safe for you both." He assured her. He understood her concerns, given their history and how Eda is not particularly fond of Covens, much less the Emperor's. "I'm the principal, not a stooge. Consider your pupils our pupils."
A loud thud was heard, and they turned to the detention door. Willow backs away from the door as it's hit again from the inside, causing the eyes of the door to flash open. The third hit totally shatters the door, revealing Lucia, Luis, Luz, and Gus as they pant in exhaustion.
"Oh-ho kay. Now that's what I call a great escape," Luis chuckles as he drops Mattholomule.
They looked and were confused by the sight of their teacher. Luz breaks the silence, "Eda?"
"Guess who got Luz into Hexside!" Eda announced happily. Principal Bump, however, didn't look as happy.
"What?" The Nocedas said in unison.
Before any of them could say anything else, the snakes appeared behind them, Luz screamed as her siblings stood ready to fight them off. But Bump beats them to it, by snapping his fingers and their eyes and fangs went to normal as they backed off.
"Sorry, Principal Bump." They slithered away, and one snake did a double-take. "Sir." It stated and slithered away.
Bump looked down at the humans in fury, "What did you do?"
"Ugh, kids." Eda facepalmed at the trouble they were in.
"To think that any student of yours would be capable of doing anything but create chaos!" Bump told Eda, as though they take after her more than expected. "Eda, take your students and leave!" The humans frowned as they knew what that meant, "You are all banned from this campus!"
"Argh, come on, kids," Eda waved them forward, and they headed out. "Let's go."
"Wait, Principal Bump," Gus suddenly spoke up, getting everyone's attention. "Don't blame them. I told them the ban was lifted, that we were fighting over the Human Appreciation Society. I brought them in because I wanted to win." He looked away sadly before biting his lip and facing the principal again. "This is all my fault."
"If that's so, Augustus, would you be willing to accept their punishments as your own?" Bump asked the boy in a stern manner.
"Yes, Principal Bump. I would," Gus answered, ready for his punishment.
"Respect, bro. Respect," Luis raised his fist to Gus.
Eda placed her hands on her hips in admiration. "Dang, dweebus." She felt Lucia give a hard nudge on her arm, "What? I meant it as a compliment."
"Very well," He then faced the three. "In light of that, barring any more trouble, Luz, Luis, and Lucia shall officially be enrolled in Hexside School next semester."
Luz let out a gasp as she formed a wide smile. She looked at her siblings, who shared her excitement, and they shared a high-five over their heads.
"Uh…hold on. Hold on," Eda faced the kids, placing her hands on Luis and Lucia's shoulders with Luz in the middle. She then glares at Principal Bump and gestures for him to step back, as she wants this to be personal. He takes a couple of steps back as Eda knelt before the trio. "I'm only doing this because I have faith in you three. And I know you're too smart to fall for that One-Witch, One-Coven nonsense. You can learn a lot from the witches here," She did a quick glance over her shoulder. "And maybe teach them some of that Bad Girl Coven magic, too."
"I didn't hear that," Bump called out to her as Luis and Lucia rolled their eyes at their teacher. "And I fail to see how that works when one of your students is a boy." The principal walks towards Gus, "As for you, I would be saying detention right now, but that seems to be out of order. So, as of now, I'm removing you from the Human Appreciation Society," He said, taking the crown off Gus' head.
"Does that make me president?" Mattholomule asked from the ground, having seemingly woken up.
"Impressive. Still alive," Bump admitted to the boy, "I suppose you are." He casually throws the crown on Mattholomule's head.
He'd gloat, but he still felt too weak to bother, "Yes!"
"Question: What happened to that kid?" Eda points to how his face was still covered in bruises.
"Heh, confession time," Lucia called out, and it made Bump, Eda, and Willow look at her and Luis. "Yeah, it was us." She confessed, and Luis held up two thumbs.
"You?!" They pointed at them in shock.
"Call it our brand of punishment for him getting us stuck in there." Luis crossed his arms.
"I feel both impressed and terrified right now." Bump confessed, but shook it off to issue other important matters, "Now, with that accomplished, Eda, we have some paperwork to fill out." He walked ahead of her.
"Wait!" Eda called out in annoyance. "I gotta do more stuff?" She groaned, but at her students, "You better enjoy this place, kids." She ruffled the top of Luz's head. With the adults gone, the kids walk up to their friends.
"Wanna finish off that tour?" Gus asked them.
"I can show you guys what plants not to touch in the greenhouse. And then I can let you touch them," Willow added in as she grabbed Luis's arm, and they both smiled with a blush. Then the boy remembered.
"Before that, and speaking of plants," He looked at Lucia as he recalled what his big sister did in the chamber. "How'd you pull that off, that plant spell, Lucia?"
"Plant spell?" Willow became confused.
"Oh, it was while I was talking to Willow while you two went to the bathroom," Lucia told them as they became shocked at her answer. She went on, "I figured that since Luis discovered the symbol for fire magic, I might as well have something else that would help us get out of a jam or two."
"You two always got a trick or two up your sleeves." Luz complimented, amazed at her siblings' wits.
"Thanks. So are we gonna just stand here, or are we gonna get this tour rolling?" She said to the younger kids.
"Yeah! Let's go," Luz cheered as she jumped on Lucia's back, and they ran off as they laughed.
"Hey! Wait," Mattholomule called out from the floor as he was still fatigued. "Take me. I'm your president." He sighed as they were already gone, "Oh. Come on."
Back at the Owl House, Eda is looking over her personal records as a Hexside Student, flipping pages that show all the pranks she's committed during her time there. Her permanent record included:
Why can't you remember?
Why can't you remember me?
Letting loose a pack of feral ghosts in the girls' locker room.
Starting an abomination food fight at lunch.
Oh, no, no, no, yeah
Hexing the school bells to play pop songs, much to the agony of the students.
Why can't you remember?
Letting in "two giant bug-things" that destroyed classrooms as she lay on one of them.
Why can't you remember me?
Feeding the school griffin spicy snacks until it threw up over the Grudgby field, causing it to be covered in green vomit.
Oh, no
Ooh‐oh‐ooh‐oh‐ooh
Ooh, yeah
The humans sat behind Eda on the couch as they watched their teacher fondly look back on all the pranks she's pulled in Hexside over the years. Clearly, she has no shame for them one bit, and she's clearly no different than how she was back then.
"Wow!" Luz interrupted her reminiscing, and Eda gave off a look of surprise that they didn't know they were there. "Bump was not exaggerating. You were a terrible student."
"Understatement of the year," Luis added as he and the girls laughed.
Season 1 Outro
Luz, Luis, and Lucia are seen walking down a part of Bonesborough called Thistle Street. Lucia had her hands behind her head, as Luis's were in his pockets with his skateboard wrapped in his arm as they all looked around in amazement.
The trio then walked through the marketplace with various stalls in it, especially blinking meat with multiple eyes. The meat horrified Luz and disgusted the other two.
Luz was in the Slayground, kicking a Grudgby ball. In the background, Lucia was break dancing and Luis was showing kids how to do a handstand on his board.
They are now walking through the hallway of Hexside greeting Willow and Gus while Amity can be seen leaning on a pillar. Willow blushed at Luis as Luz raised her eyebrows at him and Lucia was nudging her brother knowingly.
Lucia is walking through the Bonesborough Library before the book Lucia was holding flew off. Her younger brother and sister were reading manga at a desk.
The trio walked through a dark part of the Boiling Isles forest with bones on the ground. Luz looked around with her hood on and a frightened expression as her siblings seemed prepared to fight anything that may come out.
Luis was lightly pushing his foot against the ground as he skateboarded along a river path of the Boiling Isles while his sisters were sitting by the river as they all looked at the Titan's skull. After a kickflip, he turned his attention towards the skull as well.
Triple LN are running through the forest, and arriving at the Owl House where King was chatting with Eda excitedly as Hooty watched them from the back with a happy expression. King and Eda noticed the trio and waved at them before the trio smiled back and ran toward them before the camera pans up, showing the clear purple sky.
So in the end, everything turned out okay for everyone. Well…as okay as it could be, but let's focus on the positives. The Nocedas are getting accepted into Hexside, and Lucia discovers the plant glyph. It took me a while to settle on how she discovered it. I know it wasn't the most imaginative method, but I'm still learning to make this story my own compared to most author's.
