It's a sunny day in Brazil, citizens are on the beach enjoying the sun. A group of people are playing volleyball, one woman spiked the volleyball, but another woman tried to bounce the ball back but she hits the sand before the ball.
"That's game." The first woman smirked, but that was short lived when the skies began to get cloudy, and it started to snow.
"Is this snow?" A man asked.
"Is this a prank?" The lifeguard asked.
In Egypt, a group of tourists were about to catch out the Pyramid of Giza. Until clouds started to form and began to rain heavily. "I thought the weather was going to be sunny?" An elderly woman asked.
"I guess we were wrong?" A middle aged man shrugged.
In Australia, Jack stood outside his ice castle gazing out at the outback he called home.
"Awe now I ain't ever get tired of this view." Jack says while sighing contently. "A few centuries here and it's never not taken my breath away. The rocks, the animals, the ominous clouds. They really make this place worth living." He then realized something. "Wait. Ominous clouds?" He looks up and sees dark clouds forming in the sky. Not long after, it started hailing. "This ain't me causing this. It's not supposed to hail in Australia. In fact, this weather ain't normal. Better go show Lucy." He heads inside of his castle and walks over to a door. He opens it to reveal a shivering Lucy in her normal clothes. "How's the cold treating ya sheila?"
"W-w-what i-is t-t-the p-p-point of t-t-this?' Lucy asked while her teeth chattered.
"Simple. Your body needs to get used to negative temperature." Jack explained. "To truly get stronger, you need to get your ice down to subzero and then some. However, because you ain't me, the lower temperature could possibly harm your body. That's why I'm trying to get your body used to the extreme cold. However we're gonna have to cut this lesson short for now. We might have a problem." He grabs Lucy by her dress and carries her outside where the eight year old sees the hail coming down.
"I-I-It's h-h-hailing." Lucy says. "D-D-Did y-y-you c-c-cause t-this?"
"Not this time." Jack answered. "Some places don't get ice and snow. Australia is one of them." He then hears his watch go off in his pocket. He pulls it out and presses a button. "'Ello?"
"Jack, it's Lori." Lori says. "Quick question, did you create a snowstorm in Brazil?"
"I did no such thing." Jack replied. "The south is not my territory."
"Well it's not just Brazil. But even in the Sahara desert." Lori said.
"Actually it's not snowing in the Sahara desert." Lisa corrected. "It's raining."
"Well that's definitely not me sheila." Jack told them. "God of Ice, not rain."
"Is it also safe to assume that you're not causing the heatwave in Antarctica?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes and how many people are on this line?" Jack asks.
"Hi!" Everyone says at once.
"You know what? I'm coming to you so we can discuss this." Jack tells them. "Also, Lincoln be ready to warm up Lucy. She might have hypothermia."
The L-Crew and Jack are both looking at the monitors and seeing the strange weather patterns. "This is odd." Lynn said.
"I'm not causing all of this." Said Jack.
"Clearly." Lisa says. "I don't think I've ever seen weather like this." She turns to Soothsayer. "Have you?"
"Not that I can recall." Soothsayer replied. "Granted I was sealed in my staff for a few centuries so I'm not sure." Lucy, who was currently being warmed by Lincoln, looks up at the ice god.
"You've been around longer than Soothsayer, have you ever seen this before?" She asked. Jack crosses his arms and sighs.
"If I recall, I think it happened two times before." Jack replied. "However it was centuries ago. Hell they were actually centuries apart. Thing is, I don't remember how it was resolved or how it started. Probably an issue in the Naturerealm." Everyone looks at him confused.
"Naturerealm?" Sam repeated. "What's that?" Jack turns to Soothsayer.
"You never told them about other realms?" He says surprised.
"It never came up so I never felt the need to explain." Soothsayer responded with a shrug. "Anyways, how to explain. You see, the Naturerealm is one of many realms in our universe. Our realm is known as the Mortalrealm. However the realm that Jack is from is called the Naturerealm."
"Naturerealm provides the nature for this realm." Jack continues. "Weather, plants, animals, etc. However, for some reason the weather is acting out which means something is wrong in the Naturerealm."
"Oh if that's the case then you can just go there and fix it." Leni says.
"NO!" Jack shouted surprising everyone. "I ain't going back. Not now, not ever."
"Sounds like you have some drama or some unresolved issues." Ronnie Anne said.
"I don't want to talk about it." Jack sighed,
"Jack." Lucy says firmly stepping away from Lincoln's grasp. "I understand you don't want to go home or talk about your family, but right now the Earth is in trouble. If this weather isn't fixed, the world will get ruined. Plus you said that you're this world's protector. You can't let the Earth suffer because of your issues." Jack stares at her with narrowed eyes before groaning.
"Fine." He groans. "But you're coming with me sheila! I ain't dealing with this by myself. In fact, Luna, Lincoln, Lana and Lily are also coming with us!"
"Fine by me." Lucy said.
"Right." Luna says. They press their watches and get into their costumes. "So, um how do we get to the Naturerealm dudes?" Jack sighs.
"I'm the only one who can get us there." He says. They step outside and Jack holds out his staff. "Grab onto me."
Lincoln, Luna, Lucy, Lana and Lily all grabbed onto Jack. "This better not be just one tap." Lincoln said.
"It's not like that." Jack said. "Now let me focus."
Jack closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He then raises his staff and they're all surrounded by ice and snow before taking off. When the ice and snow cyclone dissipates the L-Crew see that they're standing outside a large gate with two guards standing outside. They then notice that they're standing on a platform just outside the large gate.
"Is this it?" Lana asks. Jack nods.
"The platform we're on is essentially the bridge between realms." Jack explains. "The gate over there is the entrance the realm itself."
"Why the guards?" Luna asked as she held Lily.
"Just in case other realms get brave." Jack growls. "Or dumb. Follow me." He walks to the gate with the L-Crew right behind him. Once he got close, the guards raised their spears.
"Halt!" One of guards ordered. This guard wore white armor and a helmet with a snowflake on it. "State your business." Jack groans and holds up his staff.
"It's me mates." Jack says. "Jack Frost." The two guards gasped and kneeled before him.
"Lord Jack Frost." The second said. This guard wore orange armor and a helmet with a sun on it. "You have returned."
"It's only a visit." Jack growled. "Open the gate."
"Yes Lord Frost." The ice guard says. He then looks behind the ice god. "Who are these mortals?"
"They're friends of mine. They're with me" Jack said.
"Mortals are forbidden from entering Naturerealm." The ice guard stated.
"This'll be an in and out job. You won't even know they were here." Jack said.
The two guards look at each other and are about to deny entry, until they see Jack's hand start freezing causing the two to sweat nervously.
"Very well Lord Frost." The sun guard says. They open the gate and the L-Crew gasps at what they see. Naturerealm was divided into multiple sections and areas. But over all of it there was a over arching rainbow above it all.
"Dudes. This place is crazy." Luna comments.
"Naturerealm is divided into sectors." Jack explains. "Each sector houses a different aspect of nature that takes we take of for the Mortalrealm. The sector we're entering now is the sun sector. Basically this handles all the sun based things on Earth." Before he continues his eyes rest on an individual standing among a crowd of sun guards. He was slightly taller than Jack and had orange skin. He had flame-like hair that stood up and wore a Hawaiian shirt and shorts with sunglasses. Unlike Jack though he wore something on his feet, that being sandals. Scowling, Jack approached the individual who hadn't noticed him yet.
"Ya brah, last spring was wicked dude." The man was saying. "Like the little groundhog dude didn't see his shadow and I was like awe yeah early Spring!" He does the hang loose gesture with his hand.
"Oi, so you're the reason winter ended early in the states. I worked hard on that you know!"
"Easy brah, chill out." The man says as he turns around. "No need to be so cold." He then cuts off his own sentence when he sees who's in front of him. "Jack? That you?" Jack let's out a sigh.
"Hey Ray." Jack mumbles. Ray let's out a gasp of shock and approaches the ice god and places his hands on his shoulders as he looks him over.
"It's good to see you little brother." Ray says much to the L-Crew's surprise.
"Wait that's your brother?" Lincoln questioned.
"Yeah, only be a few thousands years." Ray responded. "So who are these dudes?"
"Friends of mine." Jack responded. "Luna, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana and Lily. Mates, this is my eldest brother Ray. God of the Sun and Fire."
"S'up dude and dudettes!" Ray introduced and gave the rock on hand signal.
"Ray, do you know about these weird weather patterns?" Jack asked.
"Sorry little brother." Ray replied. "Don't know anything about it." He then frowns. "Hold on. Is that the only reason you're here?"
"Yeah mate, why else would I be here?" Jack answered.
"I don't know brah? To finally come home?" Ray says. "Back to your family?"
"Why would I come to the place that kicked me out?" Jack growled. The Louds look at the two gods shocked.
"Wait what?" Lucy gasps. However the two godly brothers didn't seem to hear them.
"You know all too well what got you exiled." Ray retorted. "And because you didn't tell is everything, you left no choice!"
"I told you that I did it because I wanted too!" Jack shouted. He takes a deep breath. "Where's mother?" Ray groans.
"Don't know." Ray admitted. "Haven't seen her for a while. Last I saw her, she was in the tectonic sector." Jack again groans.
"Great. Well kids let's get going." Jack said. He then starts walking off with the Louds not far behind, each casting a glance at the fire god. As they continue walking passed Ray, the fire god grabs Lincoln by his costume as he walks by.
"You stick around little dude." Ray says. "I can sense a fire in you."
"Probably because I got fire powers." Lincoln said as he created a flame on his finger.
"Impressive. That's it, you stick with me." Ray says. "I'm gonna teach you some tricks."
"If you say so." Lincoln said nervously.
"Jack I'm borrowing your friend here." Ray called. Jack doesn't respond, instead just raises a hand as if saying 'whatever'. "Still hasn't forgiven us i see." He sighs. "Honestly don't blame him." He turns to the young pyro next him. "Hey kid, want to make your flames stronger and hotter?"
"Ok where do we start?" Lincoln asked,
"Even been in a volcano little dude?" Ray asked with a another question.
"Um, can we start by telling me what I actually am trying to reach?" Lincoln asked.
"Fair enough." Ray answered. "See as far as I'm concerned there are three stages of heat. Stage one is the current level you're at which is flames reaching roughly over a hundred degrees. The second stage is what I like to call hellfire." He holds out his hand a flame pops up in it. However Lincoln notices that the fireball is a darker shade of orange and red. "Hellfire the second hottest you can reach. Way hotter than the current level."
"Cool." Lincoln gasps. "What's the final stage?" Ray smirks at him looks down at his hand and suddenly the flame turns blue.
"Stage three is what I like to call cremation flame." The fire god responded. "It's the hottest stage your flames can get. Now the issue with the two higher stages is that your body won't be able to fully handle it. Both levels could easily cause you harm, mostly to your insides. However if you can reach said stages and use them sparingly, you should be fine little man."
"Awesome! Let's get started!" Lincoln exclaimed. "But maybe start with trying to get me to that level instead of throwing me in a volcano. Least likely to make Jack even more upset with you." Ray sighs.
"You ain't wrong on that." Ray says. "Then let's get started then."
"Should we be worried about leaving Lincoln with Ray?" Lucy asked.
"Honestly I'm surprised he wasn't a hot head." Luna said.
"Ray has always been level headed." Jack explains. "Came with being the oldest."
"Um, Jack what did you mean when you said you got kicked out?" Lana asked. Jack doesn't answer. Instead he keeps walking.
"Jack?" Lucy says trying to get his attention but Jack stops walking.
"Don't worry about it." Jack responded. "It's not important." The four sisters exchange a worried glance before they feel a rumbling on the ground. "Damn it. You kids might want to take a step or two back."
"Why?" Luna asked. Before Jack can respond, a large hulking creature runs and practically tackles Jack away. "Bloody hell!"
"Jack!" Lucy called out. They're about to try and attack the large creature when they see that he's not attacking Jack, but instead hugging him.
"Hahaha! Little brother came home!" The large brute cheered. The brute was bigger than Jack to a point where when he hugged the ice god, his feet weren't touching the ground. The brute had light brown skin with looked like rocks on his head. He wore tank top and pants with no shoes. "Quake is so happy!"
"Quake you bloody dingo put me down!" Jack choked out. "I can't feel my bones."
"Sorry little brother!" Quake said as he let's go of Jack.
"Another brother of yours?" Lucy asked.
"Yep." Jack says as he cracked his back. "This is Quake, God of the Earth as in tectonic plates not the actual planet. He essentially adjusts the plates once in a while which causes earthquake." He flashes a glare at his larger brother. "Care to explain that bad earthquake in Michigan?"
"Erm, me made mistake when adjusting plates." Quake tells them. "Me move them too much."
"So that explains that giant earthquake from awhile ago." Lana said.
"Never mind that. Look Quake, I'm not just visit, have you noticed some strange weather patterns lately?" Jack asked.
"Um, me don't know." Quake answered. "Me don't do weather."
"Figures. Knew this was a waste of time." Jack grumbled. "Have you seen mother?"
"Um I think so?" Quake asked. "Where was she?"
"We don't have time for this! Either you think or you know!" Jack exclaimed.
"Jack." Luna said sternly. "That's enough. He's clearly trying so give him a minute." She turns to Quake. "Think carefully big guy. When did you last see wait." She turns to Jack. "Jack, who exactly are we looking for." Jack let's out a sigh.
"We're looking for the ruler of Naturerealm." Jack answered. "Mother Nature."
"Oh I think she's in the animal part of the land." Quake replied.
"Wait wait hold up." Luna says. "We ain't glossing over the recent bombshell you just dropped. Your mother, is the one and only Mother Nature!?"
"Yes, she's my mother. What did you think I was born from snow and ice?" Jack asked impatiently.
"No but we didn't think that THE Mother Nature was your mom." Lucy pointed out. "Just seemed a little on the nose."
"Yeah." Lana says. "We also didn't know how gods were created either."
"It's complicated." Jack said with sigh. "Hell I'm not even sure how it works. I do know I was a kid though." He then turns to Quake. "Where did you say Mother was?"
"Um, me no remember." Quake mumbled. "Maybe plant place." Jack let's out a groan.
"Great. Just great." He says.
"Is that far?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah it is." Jack groaned. "We need to get going now."
"If you say so dude." Luna says before turning to Quake. "Later big dude." The team then run off, leaving Quake alone.
"Quake sorry little brother." Quake said sadly.
Back with Ray and Lincoln, Lincoln was attempting to raise the temperature of his flames with little result.
"Damn it. This isn't working." The Pyro groaned before turning to Ray who was on a beach chair. "What am I doing wrong?"
"Well little dude. I would tell you, you need to get angry to make your flames stronger, but it's not that." Ray said.
"It's not?" Lincoln asked surprised. "Then what is it then?"
"First, it's getting rid of all doubts in your mind." Ray replied. "Even a single doubt will prevent your flames from getting hotter. After that, you gotta really push past your limits. If you don't really push yourself then your powers won't improve."
"Huh. Guess I never thought of that." Lincoln says. "Hey can I ask you something?" Ray nods. "What was Jack like as a kid or your equivalent to a kid." Ray let's out a sigh.
"Jack is the youngest out of all of us." Ray answered. "Because of that, mother let him get away with a lot. Growing up though, he was a hell of a prankster."
Flashback- Several Centuries ago
A young Ray laying on a blanket underneath the sun in the Sun sector.
"Gotta love the rays of the magnificent sun." Ray was saying. Suddenly a shadow covered the sun. Not long afterwards, Ray was hit by a cold blast of air. "Aye yo what's the big idea?" Ray looks around until he hears giggling coming from nearby. He turns and sees a young Jack wearing a blue tunic and pants giggling. "JACK!"
"You should've seen the look on your face!" Jack said laughing.
"You're gonna get it little brother!" Ray threatened playfully. Jack takes off with Ray chasing after him both laughing the whole time.
End Flashback
"But despite the pranks, Jack always had a good heart." Ray says. However his smile disappeared. "But good things are never meant to last unfortunately."
Jack's group is walking through a cloudly and foggy area. "I can barely see anything through this fog." Lana said.
"Same. Yo Jack, you sure we're going the right way?" Luna asks.
"Honestly sheila, I'm not entirely sure." Jack admitted. "Never seen this place this foggy. I'm not even sure if we're in the plant sector."
"Oh I can assure you my darling brother that you are indeed in the right place." A voice said from in the fog. "You should know by now Jackie that I love to make an entrance!" The fog dissappears and they see a man wearing a flashy green suit with a rose in the front pocket. He had short orange hair with roses sticking out of it. The man also had green skin. "Rosebud has arrived!" His guards applauded while the L-Crew stared at him dumbfounded with Jack facepalming.
"Rosebud? Is he your brother?" Lana asked.
"Yeah. This is Rosebud, he has a thing for entrances." Jack groaned.
"Jack darling you are too kind." Rosebud says. "But my word how long has it been since you were last here. Ooh mother is gonna be thrilled that you've finally come back home." Jack glares at him.
"I ain't coming home." Jack growled. "I'm only here trying to figure out why the weather is going wild in the Mortalrealm."
"Heh like I would know." Rosebud said as he sat in a plant throne. "I handle the plants, not the weather. I mean you know since you kill a lot my flowers with your frost." Hearing this Jack scowled.
"Don't act all high and mighty Rosebud." Jack retorted. "You know as well as I do mate that the frost is necessary."
"Oh yes but must kill my plants?" Rosebud sighed. As they argued, Lily was squirming in Luna's arms.
"Lily calm down!" Luna protested, but Lily frees herself from Luna's arms and runs up to Rosebud.
"Aw aren't you a cute little baby." Rosebud said.
"Kid get back here." Jack quietly protested.
"Plant." Lily babbles. She places her hands on the ground and then raises them summoning a plant stalk from the ground. Rosebud looks at her with wide eyes.
"My word." Rosebud says. He then picks up Lily and holds her up. "So much power in such a small body! So much potential that must be nurtured like a small flower!"
"Do you know where mother is?" Jack asked. "Quake told me she was in your sector."
"Oh Jackie boy, I'm afraid that the big lug was mistaken." Rosebud replied as he played with Lily. "Mother hasn't been here for a while. It's possible she might have gone to the Storm Sector."
"No! God no. Not there." Jack groaned. "Why there of all places?"
"That's bad right?" Lana asked.
"Of course it's bad! It's the most dangerous place in the realm." Jack explained.
"Oh please darling we both know that's not the reason." Rosebud says. "The only reason you don't want to go there is because of Sparks." Jack glares at his brother before sighing.
"Who's Sparks?" Lucy asked. Jack let's out another groan.
"My older sister, the Goddess of Lightning." Jack explains. "She and her twin brother Boom, the God of Thunder deal with the rain and storms."
"Wicked." Luna says. "But why don't you want to see Sparks?"
"Her and I aren't exactly on the best terms right now sheila." Jack admitted. "Last time time I saw, well let's just say it wasn't pretty."
"Oh I remember it, it was not pretty. But the details were too horrific to describe." Rosebud said.
"So don't, mate." Jack growled. "We're wasting time. Let's get a move on."
"Right." Luna says. She turns to the infant still in the Plant God's arms. "Let's go Lils." Lily however shakes her head no. "What? You don't want to go?"
"Stay." Lily babbles.
"Don't worry. I'll keep an eye on her." Rosebud said. "Sparks' sector is no safe place for a baby."
Luna, Lucy and Lana hesitate before giving in. "Ok." Luna said with a sigh. "Just keep an eye on her."
"I will look after her like if she was my daughter." Rosebud said. "Even teach her some of my abilities."
"Alright let's get a move on!" Jack groaned as he gestured the three girls to move on.
The three siblings follow him but Lucy hesitates. She casts a glance at Rosebud before following the others. Once they're gone, Rosebud turns to Lily.
"Now my little darling, what to teach you first?" He questioned. "Hmm, I'm honestly not sure how much a baby can learn. Or if you can fully understand me." He sets her down on the ground and sits on his plant throne. "Care to show me what you know?"
Lily nodded and puts her hand to the ground and vines popped out of the ground. "Vines? Is that all you can do?" Rosebud questioned.
Lily shakes her head and places her hands on the ground again where she summons her giant Venus fly trap.
"Impressive." Rosebud comments. "But I believe you can do more darling. What about summoning plants from your body?"
"Weally?" Lily questioned.
"It is an amazing trick for combat and at parties." Rosebud said.
Lily's eyes shined at the prospect and eagerly looked up at the plant god with excitement. However, Rosebud wasn't sure how to begin.
"Hmm, well for this to work you would need to be one with the green." Rosebud said. Lily cocked her head confused. "The green is basically the connection to all plant life in the world. It essentially becomes a part of you." Lily nods. "But again, not sure how to do that with a mortal."
"Pwease teach me!" Lily begged.
"Now now my little darling." Rosebud soothed. "I never said I wouldn't teach you. Just have to figure out how." An idea then comes to him. "I think i have it." He picks up Lily and carries her further into the plant sector.
As Jack and the three Loud sisters make their way to the Storm sector, the three sisters couldn't help but notice how Jack was acting towards his siblings.
"You girls noticed that Jack's been hostile to his siblings?" Lucy whispered to Luna and Lana.
"I noticed too. But keep in mind, siblings fight all the time." Luna said.
"Yeah but this feels, different." Lana pointed out. "The way Jack is acting reminds me of how Lincoln acted after the bad luck incident. Hostile. Angry. Aggressive. Every time he talks to them, he sounds like he's gonna blast them."
"Should we ask Jack what happened?" Luna asked.
"I don't think that'll happen." Lucy said. "It feels like he doesn't want to talk about it."
"I can tell you're worried though." Luna says catching Lucy by surprise. "What's on your mind Luce Change?" Lucy sighs.
"It's just that the longer we're here, the more I realize that we really know next to nothing about Jack." Lucy said with a sigh. "I know when we first met him that we promised not to dwell into his past, but hearing him argue with his siblings, finding out that he possibly did something bad enough that he was banished from his home really concerns me. Is the Jack we've been dealing with the real him, or a mask to hide his true nature?"
"We'll keep on him just in case things go south." Luna said.
"I just hope it wasn't that bad right?" Lana said.
"At this point, I don't know what to expect anymore." Lucy admitted. Suddenly Jack stopped in his tracks.
"You good dude?" Luna asked.
"Yeah just bracing myself." Jack replied. "We're here." The siblings look around but all they see are the dark clouds and a wasteland.
"Ok but where are the twins?" Lana asked. Before Jack can answer they hear a loud noise in the distance. They look over and see a large crowd gathered around. They also saw spotlights lighting up the sky but were various colors.
"Dudes, is that a concert?" Luna asked.
It's not a concert." Jack groaned. "It's a storm."
"Looks like we have an audience!" A female voice said. "And look whose in the crowd."
"Sparks." Jack said curtly.
Sparks was a tall woman with yellow skin with a mohawk that was colored golden. She wore a orange shirt underneath a leather vest with spikes on the shoulders. She also wore leather pants and boots lightning bolts on the sides.
"What's going on baby bro?" Sparks says. "Been a few centuries."
"Yeah. It has." Jack responded. "Still making a lot of noise i see."
"Best way to make a good storm little brother." Sparks retorted before glancing behind her. "Right Boom?" Behind her stood a tall man with blue skin and a afro made of clouds. He wore a dress shirt with a loose tie underneath a trenchcoat. He also wore jeans and boots. On his face he wore round sunglasses.
"Best way we know." Boom replied as he stepped up. He climbs off the stage a walks up to Jack with open arms. "Little brother. Good to see you again man. Welcome home."
"I'm not here for long. I'm just here to find mother." Jack said.
"I'm sorry to say this, but she's not here." Boom said.
"I'm starting to think nobody knows where Mother is." Jack growled. Sparks let's out a scoff.
"And why exactly are you looking for mother?" She asks. "So you can break her heart again?" Jack glares at her as the ground below him starts to ice up. Sparks holds his glare with one of her own as electricity starts sparking from her body.
"Um, this looks bad." Lana says as she hides behind Luna with Lucy. Before the two gods can make a move, Boom gets between gets between them.
"Enough!" He shouted. "You both know the rules. Gods are not supposed to fight! It's one of the few rules we got here! You both know the consequences for this if you attack one another."
"Fine!" Sparks scoffed, but then she noticed the three Loud siblings. "You brought mortals here?"
"We're here to help Jack." Luna said. "Earth has weather problems."
"Weather problems?" Sparks repeated. "Well I guess that explains why you're looking for mother. She'd be the only one that could figure out the issue."
"Well like I said, she ain't here." Boom added. "However, I do have an idea where she is. The Weather Temple." Jack's widen.
"The Weather Temple?" He repeated. "Should've known."
"Um, what's the Weather Temple?" Lana asked.
"It's essentially the cornerstone of the Naturerealm." Sparks explains. "It oversees the weather in the Mortalrealm. In some cases it even controls the weather depending on the circumstances."
"If Luan was here she would have made a bad joke." Lucy muttered.
"Can you take us to the Weather Temple?" Luna asked Jack.
"Mortals aren't welcome to the temple." said Sparks. "It's forbidden."
"I'm taking them there." Jack growled. Sparks turns her glare to him. "And they don't have to go in. They're just gonna come with me." He takes a step forward till he's practically in Sparks's face. "You gonna stop me?" The two stare each other down before Boom gets between them.
"No. We don't." Boom answers. "They can go with you but they can't go in the temple." Jack nods and takes a step back. He glances at Luna.
"You stay here." He tells her. "Maybe you can learn something from my sister." Sparks rolls her eyes.
"And why would I want to teach a mortal?" Sparks asks. Luna steps up.
"Because I can do this." Luna responds before blasting an electric blast into the air surprising the two Gods. After a couple seconds Sparks smirks.
"I like her." She says before putting her arm around the fifteen year old. "Let's get you to a whole new level of wattage."
"Wicked." Luna responded. She then remembered something. "Right. Gotta be responsible." She turns to her younger sisters. "Behave yourselves and do whatever Jack tells you. Got it?" The two younger girls nod and head towards Jack who was with Boom.
"The fastest way to the Weather Temple is through the animal section." Boom was saying.
"I figured as much." Jack said with a sigh. "How has she been?"
"She misses you." Boom answers simply. "She was pretty upset after your banishment." Jack let's out a sigh.
"Don't let Sparks kill my friend." Jack told him as he turned away where he turns to the younger girls. "Let's move."
"I make no promises." Sparks said right before the group was right out of sight, she then turned her attention to Luna. "Ok ready for your first lesson with me and my brother?"
"Of course dudes!" Luna said.
"Is there anything you haven't learned yet?" Boom asked.
"I mean I've learned a lot but I feel like my electricity could be a lot stronger." Luna told them. "I also feel like there are some more advanced things that you can teach me that the Eleven Masters couldn't. Mora told me about all the possible stuff I could do with electricity. But the biggest thing I want to do is raise the power of my voltage. Just not sure how to do that."
"We can show you." Sparks said.
"But keep in mind. It'll be dangerous even for a mere mortal." said Boom.
"How exactly?" Luna asked.
"To put it blunt, if you go full wattage you basically risk completely draining yourself completely for a certain amount of time." Sparks explained.
"You'd be as empty as a dead battery." Boom added.
"Whoa, so I'll be powerless?" Luna asked.
"For a certain amount of time." Boom replied,
"It'll take a very long time to charge." Sparks said. "Make sure you use it sparingly or at a last resort."
"But if you could absorb electricity then the recharge time will be cut in half." Boom finished.
"Well I guess that's good." Luna said. "But I guess I should learn to increase my power first."
"Yes, let's start with that." Boom agreed.
"The only thing that you and I can agree on." Sparks replied.
"Wicked." Luna says. "How do I do that?"
"We extend your power limit." Sparks said. "By getting stuck by lightning."
"Wait what?" Luna asked.
Back in the Plant Section, Rosebud finished taking Lily to their destination: a large tree.
"Here we are my little darling." Rosebud said. "We have arrived at the Tree of Origins."
"Huh?" Lily questioned.
"This is where all plant life began my dear." Rosebud said. "It is the heart and soul of every living tree and plant on Earth."
"Oooh." Lily said in awe.
"Thank you." Rosebud says as he places the infant on the ground. "And this tree will help you connect to the Green on Earth and help become one with plant life. Now to do so, do everything I do. Understand?" Lily nods. "Wonderful darling. Place your hands on the roots like so." Rosebud squats down and places his hands on the roots.
Lily places her hands on the roots and her eyes began to grow green. "I can feew the pwants!" Lily said. "But I feew something else."
"Yes darling, you are feeling the power of the Green coursing through your small body." Rosebud explained. "This is the power that the Green possesses." He then crouches down next to her. "However there is a downside to this power. The plants that come from your body are only as strong as you allow them to be. However the more you use it, the more energy you use making you weaker."
"Ok got it." Lily babbled.
"I'm glad you got it. Now your training will begin." Rosebud said.
Lincoln went full flame as he tried to makes his flames hotter. However he was met with little success.
"Damn it. This is getting me nowhere." Lincoln groaned. He turned to Ray. "What am I doing wrong?"
"Well little dude, it looks like you're giving it 110 percent, but you're not feeling it little dude." Ray said.
"English please." Lincoln requested. "That just made me more confused."
"Are you holding back little dude?" Ray asked.
"I don't think so." Lincoln answered. "I feel like I'm really pushing myself. Maybe my body doesn't know what kinda heat I'm supposed to go for."
"That's what your mind thinks little dude." Ray said.
"Let me guess. I need to think positive vibes?" Lincoln questioned.
"In a way but not entirely." Ray replied. "It seems like your whole body is in turmoil with a mixture of rage and uncertainty. For this to work you can't have any doubts that you can reach the next level."
"I get it." Lincoln says. "Not gonna be easy though." Ray stands up and walks up to him.
"How about a taste?" Ray offered. Before Lincoln can respond, Ray lifts a hand and Lincoln is suddenly engulfed in hot flames.
"Holy hell." Lincoln gasped.
"Exactly. It's hellfire." Ray said. "The first step to reaching the full potential of your flames. Absorb the fire so that your body knows the feeling of it allowing to be able to unlock it. Remember, the hotter the flames the more damage it does to your body."
"Alright here goes." Lincoln gulped as he took a deep breath and began to absorb the hellfire. The flames slowly began to go into Lincoln's body.
"That's it little dude." Ray said.
"So far so good." Lincoln says. Suddenly he feels sudden pain in his body. "What's happening? What's this pain? Why does it feel like my insides are burning up?"
"The hellfire is burning your insides dude!" Ray said.
"How do I stop it!?" Lincoln questioned.
"Unfortunately you can't." Ray answered. "Just unleash the power!"
Lincoln pushed his hands outwards and a hide fireball is launched from his hands, he then dropped to his knees and panted. "That's second time I nearly died." He muttered.
"Sorry about that little dude." Ray says sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Should've started you with a smaller dose."
"Yeah I think a smaller dose would have been better." Lincoln panted.
"Sorry about that." Ray repeated. "If I'm being honest, I was trying to rush it." Lincoln looks up at him confused.
"Why's that?" He asks. Ray let's out a sigh.
"Because I doubt my brother will be back anytime soon after today." Ray replied. "As you probably saw, my brother isn't exactly fond of us."
"Why's that?" Lincoln asked. "What happened?" Ray closes his eyes and then looks down at him.
"Jack betrayed us."
Jack, Lucy and Lana are walking towards the temple. "So far we got three of our siblings under the care of Jack's siblings. Who knows what's going with them." Lana said.
"The closer we get to that temple, the faster we fix the weather." Jack said annoyed.
"Where are we now?" Lana asked.
"The Animal section." Jack answered simply. "I'm hoping we can get through here without Animelia finding out."
"Another sister of yours?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, now let's head to the other end without any interruptions." Jack said,
Suddenly they hear stomping coming from the distance as well as trees being shoved aside. "Did everyone hear that?" Lana asked. Suddenly from out of the trees appears a large mammoth who let's out a trumpet. "IS THAT A MAMMOTH?!"
"Yes. All the animals that have gone extinct come back here." Jack responded.
"Lana try to calm it down!" Lucy ordered. Lana nods and becomes a mammoth herself.
Lana steps in front of the mammoth and began to converse with it. "Stop! We didn't mean to step in your territory." Lana said.
"My territory?" The mammoth repeated. "This is the territory of the animal goddess and you are trespassing!" He let's out a loud trumpet and they're all suddenly surrounded by a variety of animals including dinosaurs, sabretooth tigers, more mammoths and multiple current animals.
"Sigh. This isn't good." Lucy says. "Jack, what do we do?" Jack stays calm and steps up to the Alpha Mammoth.
"I am the Ice God Jack Frost mate." Jack tells him. "Summon the Animal Goddess Animelia!"
The Alpha mammoth nodded and let out a trumpet as some of the animals cleared a path for Animelia. Lucy and Lana looked from a distance and see a woman walking towards them.
The woman had light yellow skin and pink hair. She wore a green tank top and white pants while also not wearing any shoes. In her hair she had butterfly barrettes holding her hair away from her face. As she past the animals, they all bowed one by one. Once she was in front of Jack she looked up at him with a kind smile.
"Hello Jack." She says. Jack looks down at her and for the first time, Lucy and Lana see him smile.
"Good day Animelia." Jack replies. The shorter Goddess wraps her arms around his torso, and embrace that Jack returns.
"Welcome home little brother." Animelia says.
Hey sis." Jack said as he parted from the hug. "We're sorry for coming into your Territory but we need to get to the temple."
"You brought mortals into our realm?" Animelia stated.
"Yes, because the mortal world is in danger as well." Jack said.
"I see." Animelia says. "So you haven't come to stay."
"No. I'm afraid not." Jack responded. "After everything that's happened between me and mother and Ray and Sparks and everyone else, I don't think i can."
"Maybe if we just told them the truth." Animelia started but Jack interrupted.
"No!" Jack all but shouted surprising everyone. Jack takes a deep breath. "No. I can't do that. Besides, it's too late for that."
"This is some heavy stuff." Lana whispered to Lucy.
"It almost feels like a drama. But I want to know what happened to Jack and his family." Lucy whispered back. "Every time we encounter Jack's siblings we get a little bit closer to the truth."
"I know." Lana agreed. "Can't believe the others are missing this." They turn back to the siblings.
"She's definitely at the temple." Animelia was saying. "But so is Breeze. And last time you two talked, it didn't go well."
"It is what it is sheila." Jack replied. "I'll do what I have to."
"And what about mother?" Animelia asked. "Are you ready to face her?" Jack hesitates before sighing.
"I don't know honestly." He answers. "Last I saw her was when brought my staff and I said some things. But I need to do this."
"I sense some fear in his voice." Lucy said.
"She's right in the temple. But your friends will have to wait outside." Animelia said.
Jack let's out a groan. "How many people are going to tell me that?" He says. "Lana." Lana looks up at him. "You stay here. Animelia can teach you some new things with your powers."
"Oh. I never taught someone in over a thousands." Animelia said.
"I hope you remember your lessons." Jack said as he and Lucy walks off.
Once they're gone, Animelia turns to the six year old staring at her. "So, um, why does my brother want me to teach you?" She asks awkwardly.
"Because I can do this." Lana responded before turning into a squirrel causing Animelia's eyes to widen. "And this." She turns into a t-rex. "And this." Turns into a griffin before turning back into a human. "I can turn into any animal including mythical ones so I'm not sure how much you can teach me." Animelia put her finger to her chin in thought.
"While it's impressive to turn into the animals, do you actually understand them?" Animelia asks. Lana tilts her head.
"I don't understand." She says. Animelia smiles as a male lion walks up and sits next to her. Animelia proceeds to pet it's mane.
"Well you see it's one thing to become an animal with all it's skill and abilities but if you don't connect with them then you won't really understand them, literally and figuratively." Animelia explained. "You gotta really connect with them, heart to heart."
"Ok I get it. So I need to bond and connect with all animals?" Lana said. "Won't that take a really long time?"
Animelia let's out a giggle. "For a normal person yes." She replied. "But since you can turn into them, you already have a general understanding of them. The trick is to get them to open their hearts you as well as you opening your heart to them. That's how you understand animals. Plus if you keep training here, you'll be able to achieve that!" She then frowns. "But at this rate, I doubt it'll happen." Lana frowns.
"Is it because Jack doesn't get along with the rest of siblings?" Lana asks. Animelia sighs and nods. "Why?" The animal goddess turns to the young shape-shifter.
"Because it's all my fault." She replied.
"Um, dudes? Is this really a good idea?" Luna asked. She was currently standing in the middle of plateu not far from Sparks and Boom.
"Trust us! You'll be more powerful than a thunderstorm." Sparks said.
"You'll be fine." Boom stated,
"If you say so." Luna says. Boom turns to Sparks.
"You sure this'll work?" He whispers.
"Here's hoping." Sparks answered.
"Let's get started already!" Luna shouted.
"Alright! This shouldn't hurt. Much." Sparks said before summoning lightning.
"Wait what?" Luna says right before she's struck by lightning.
The lightning was surging through Luna's body as she was loudly grunting, Boom was about to run up to Luna, but Sparks stops him. "No she needs to do this on her own." She said.
"Damn it Sparks she's a mortal!" Boom retorted.
"No." They both turn and see Luna still on her feet. "I can handle this."
"She's going to get herself fried!" Boom exclaimed.
"Just give us a signal if you want the surge off of you!" Sparks shouted.
"Just a little more." Luna grunted. "I...can...TAKE IT!" Luna shouted.
"She's going to get fried!" Boom exclaimed.
"Jack's gonna kill us if she dies." Sparks said.
"Make the call!" Boom shouted.
"Sorry kid, I'm ending this." Sparks says. She then raises her hand and waves it stopping the lightning. Once the lightning stops, Luna dropped to her knees electricity sparking from her body.
"So..much...power." Luna grunted. "Gotta..let...loose!" She raises her hands a shot a massive electricity blast into the sky. "Whoa. Wicked." Luna then starts to fall backwards before being caught by Boom.
"Got ya kid." He says as he sits her down by a rock. They're then joined by Sparks.
"You alright Rockstar?" Sparks asked. "Got any power in ya?"
"I got some sparks left in me." Luna smiled as she groaned,
"Glad to see you're still breathing." Sparks said,
"Yeah." Luna panted. "Just need a breather." She turns to Sparks. "And maybe a recharge."
"I got ya." Sparks says as she places a hand on Luna's and starts recharging her so to speak.
"Man that was wild." Luna said. "All that power felt crazy."
"Yeah I know that feeling when I first had a taste of that. But it was many years ago." Sparks said.
"Yeah, same. We caused a lot of blackouts with that power." Boom said.
"So I guess even gods gotta start somewhere." Luna said with a chuckle. She then frowns. "I've been meaning to ask, what's the issue that you have with Jack? I mean you're his big sis, you're supposed to love your baby bro unconditionally. What happened?" Sparks smile fades and she removes her hand from Luna's.
"Jack and I used to be extremely close." Sparks replied with a sigh. "We did almost everything together, you know?"
"But what caused you to have this animosity towards each other?" Luna asked. Sparks looks at Boom who nods at her encouragingly. Sparks turns back to Luna.
"Jack went rogue and I was the one who had to take him down."
"How did Jack betrayed you?" Lincoln questioned. "That doesn't even seem like something he would do."
Ray let's out a sigh. "It's hard to explain little dude." He says. "We gods have a specific set of rules. Jack ended up breaking most of said rules. Since Jack was the youngest, Mother always let him off easy. However, one too many times his actions pushed the boundaries. One of the first examples was when he froze Greenland. Not completely but he made it colder than it needed to be."
"Ok, but what's the issue with that?" Lincoln asked confused.
"Greenland wasn't his territory." Ray replied. "It was mine. Mother gave us two pieces of land that she had called Iceland and Greenland. Jack had Iceland and I had Greenland. As you're probably aware, their names are the exact opposite of what they're supposed to be. Greenland was supposed to be warm while Iceland was supposed to be cold."
"But Jack made Greenland cold instead." Lincoln finished. "Did he ever say why?"
"Little bro said it was an accident." Ray answered. "Said he got the two islands mixed up. Honestly, we couldn't tell if he was lying or not so Mother gave him a pass. The result was that my brother got Greenland and i got Iceland."
"What about the other examples?" Lincoln asked.
"Some of them are way worse than the Greenland and Iceland mix up?" Ray said.
"Like what?" Lincoln asked. "He made Russia almost uninhabitable. Same with Alaska." Lincoln's eyes widen.
"Whoa." Lincoln gasps. "That's crazy. You said there are several rules you gods gotta follow and Jack broke several. While I don't know much about you guys and your rules but I have a feeling that freezing some lands that weren't supposed to be frozen isn't really enough to result in banishment." Ray sighs.
"You ain't wrong little dude." He says. "There's one rule that can't be ignored. Gods are not allowed to fight other gods. Unfortunately Jack broke that rule by attacking and fighting another god." Lincoln let's out a gasp.
"Seriously!? Who did he fight?" Lincoln asked. Ray looks down at him.
"Me." Ray answered
"You're doing real good there Lily. But let's take a break." Rosebud suggested. "You need a rest anyway."
"No I don't." Lily protested.
"You're too young to dabble in my godly energy." Rosebud said.
"Ok." Lily whined. Rosebud picks her up and carries her to a nearby tree where they sit down.
"You're actually doing marvelous Lily." Rosebud says. "I'm impressed."
"Thanks." Lily babbled. "I have question."
"What is it my dear?" Rosebud as he sits down a tree trunk.
"What happened to Jack here?" Lily asked.
Rosebud's smile disappears as he looks off into the distance. "Jack changed." He answered. "He started acting differently, like he didn't care anymore. We actually wondered if something corrupted him." He let's out a sigh. "But alas, it wasn't the case. He just changed. It broke all of our hearts to see what he became."
"How?" Lily asked.
"There was a fight between Jack and Ray." Rosebud said.
Lily's eyes widen as she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Fight?" She says. Rosebud nods.
"Yes. You see Gods aren't allowed to fight each other because of the possible damages that can happen to the Earth." Rosebud explained.
"What happened during the fight?" Lily asked.
"The end of the family." Rosebud responded.
Jack and Lucy continued walking as the Temple came into view. "There it is." Jack says. "The Weather Temple."
Lucy looked at the pyramid and it's was built out of black stone and it resembles a Mayan pyramid. "So that's the weather pyramid?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, now you have to stay outside while I go inside." Jack said.
"Very well." Lucy says. However, before Jack can move a strong wind whips up. "What was that?" Jack narrows his eyes and looks into the sky.
"Breeze." Jack replied. "My oldest sister."
"Jack? Is that you little brother?" Breeze asked as she began to lower herself down.
"Is this the last of your siblings?" Lucy asked.
"She is." Jack responded as Lucy took the appearance of the goddess in front of her.
Breeze was a tall woman with pale skin and long hair that looked it was blown back constantly. She wore a gray raincoat and leggings. She also wore no shoes.
"Ah so it is you." Breeze says as she looks her brother up and down. "I had heard through the wind that you had returned. I almost didn't believe it. So brother, what brings you here?" Jack let's out a groan.
"I just gotta go to the temple." Jack answered. "I'll be in and out." Jack goes to walk passed Breeze, but Breeze puts her hand out in front of him.
"I'm sorry Jack but I can't allow you to go in there." She tells him. Jack looks at her annoyed.
"Look I know mortals aren't allowed in there." Jack says. "Lucy will be waiting out here." However Breeze didn't budge.
"No Jack, you aren't allowed in there." Breeze reiterated. Jack turns to her shocked.
"What do you mean i ain't allowed in there sheila?" Jack demanded. "Last I checked I'm a God and only gods are allowed in the temple."
"While that is correct, you lost your privilege to enter the temple when you betrayed us." Breeze tells him.
"All this because of my fight with Ray?" Jack questioned.
"You know the rules Jack. Gods don't fight with other gods." Breeze said.
"You had a fight with Ray?" Lucy asked,
"It also wasn't just the fight with Ray." Breeze continues both Gods not even acknowledging that Lucy spoke. "It's the fact that you froze multiple places on Earth and then acted like it wasn't a big deal!" As they were arguing, Lucy saw the rest of the Gods making their way over to the temple with her own siblings with them.
"Oh thank goodness." Lucy muttered as her siblings and the Gods approached her.
"You made it to the temple." Lincoln said.
"Yeah, but Jack is forbidden to enter." Lucy said.
"Bogus." Luna says. She turns to the argument happening between the two gods with the rest of the godly siblings gathered around.
"Both of you calm down." Boom says getting between Breeze and Jack. "What's going on?"
"She won't let me in the Temple." Jack answered.
"Because he's banned." Breeze fired back.
"Probably for the best." Sparks said as she walked up to Jack. "Last thing we need is him to go in there and screw with nature again."
"I didn't screw with nature!" Jack started but Ray interrupted.
"Didn't though little brother?" Ray argued. "You went down to Earth and made several areas colder than they should've been to a point where we wondered if mortals would be able to survive out there. Hell you deep froze Antarctica!" The Louds gasped.
"Wait what?" Lana gasped. "Jack deep froze Antarctica?" Jack doesn't answer and Ray turns to him.
"You never told them did you?" Ray growled. "Then allow me to tell them what lead to your banishment." He turns to the Louds. "You see, Antarctica wasn't supposed to be cold like you know it to be. It was once supposed to have an abundance of life. That is until Jack went there. Mother called and told me that Jack froze Antarctica and wanted me to stop him from doing more damage before it was irreversible. However when I went down there, I was too late."
Flashback- Centuries ago
Ray arrived in Antarctica, staff in hand and gasped at what he saw. The whole land was a frozen wasteland.
"No way." Ray gasped. "He didn't." He launched a fireball at ground to no avail. "He deep froze it. I can't fix it." He looks around and yells into the air. "Jack! Show yourself!"
Jack slid down a hill with a smirk on his face. "You called Ray?" Jack asked.
"What the hell? You deep froze my land! You know the rules man!" Ray exclaimed.
"Oh I was trying to cool this place down." Jack shrugged.
"Mother had plans for this land!" Ray argued. "You knew this but you still froze it solid!" Jack narrows his eyes.
"So what?" Jack growled. "Maybe this place is better colder!" Ray couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Brother, why are you doing this?" Ray asked. "Why are you acting this way? Look, just come back with me and we can try to fix this."
"You know what? I'm getting a little tired of you telling me what to do!" Jack shouted. He twirls his staff before getting in a battle stance. "I did this because I wanted to! No one else was involved." The two brothers stare each other down.
"Don't do this Jack." Ray says seriously.
"I'm done taking orders from you." Jack replied. Ray sighs and prepares his staff. Neither brother moves right away as they stare each other down. Jack then rushes forward towards Ray swinging his staff towards him. Ray raises his staff and swings it to counter causing the two staffs to clash resulting in a powerful shockwave that spread across the world.
End Flashback
"When we clashed, the resulting shockwave spread across the planet causing irreversible damage in some places." Ray says. "One such damage became known as the Grand Canyon."
"So that explains the formation." Lincoln said. "I wonder how Lisa is gonna react to this."
"Well tell her later." said Luna. "But come on dudes, can't you let Jack into the temple?"
"No, we can't." Sparks replied. "Jack lost his right to go into the temple the day he betrayed us."
"Oh bugger off Sparks." Jack growled.
"Oh please, don't act all tough Jack." Sparks retorted. "You do remember how your fight with Ray ended right?"
Flashback- Centuries ago
Jack swung his staff at Ray firing an ice blast at the fire god who blocked it with a wall of fire.
"Give up Jack!" Ray shouted. "This is getting ridiculous!"
You're the one who started this. All because I froze an island really?" Jack questioned,
"Mother had plans for that area!" Ray shouted. "She's not going to be happy about this!"
"Stopping acting like you're a saint!" Jack shouted as he rushed at Ray again who put up another wall of fire. However much to his surprise, Jack went right through the flames and hit Ray with his staff knocking him down. Ray sits up with a groan and is met with Jack's staff aimed at his face. "Sorry brother." Jack raised his staff but before anything can happen he let's out a pained shout. He then collapses the ground unconscious to reveal Sparks behind him. Sparks walks around Jack's body and holds out a hand.
"You alright?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." Ray said as he grabbed Sparks' hand and was pulled up. "Thanks for the assist."
"Don't mention it." Sparks said.
"Just wish that it wasn't against family." Ray sighed.
"Can't say i disagree." Sparks says. "I'll take him back. You try to fix this mess."
"Can't." Ray told her. "Already tried. He did a deep freeze. If I try to melt it, this whole land is gone."
"Damn. Can any humans live there now?" Sparks asked.
"No. The mortals can't adapt to the cold. I doubt anything can live in that land." Ray said.
"Let's get Jack home." Sparks says. "Maybe mother has a solution."
End Flashback
"You attacked me from behind!" Jack shouted as he pointed at Sparks.
"Well you were trying to finish off Ray!" Sparks retorted.
"You don't know that!" Jack argued.
"Look let's all calm down!" Boom said trying to diffuse the situation before it escalated.
"Why are you always defending him?" Sparks asked her twin. "After everything he's done!"
"Because maybe I'm tired of our family being broken!" Boom replied. Sparks scoffs.
"Can't say I'm surprised. You were one of the few who voted against banishing him." Sparks accused. "Last I checked I'm your twin, which means you're supposed to have my back!"
"And where does it say that?" Boom fired back. "Where is it written that twin must always have each other's backs?" Meanwhile the Louds were watching uncomfortably.
"I would say something but it might make things worse." Lana says.
"This is starting to get out of hand." Lincoln added.
"This is worse than the sister fight protocol." Luna said.
"I'm not stepping into this fight." Lincoln gulped.
"I don't think this fight can't be resolved by us." Lucy added.
"Please stop fighting." Animelia pleaded from next to Quake. However her words fell on deaf ears.
"You know I'm starting to regret coming here." Jack growled.
"Then why come back in the first place?" Breeze demanded.
"Because Earth was in trouble!" Jack shouted. "But apparently this was a mistake." As they were arguing, the door to the temple opened and out stepped a attractive women with white skin and rainbow hair. She wore a golden dress with a golden crown. She stared down the steps and saw the gods arguing.
"What is the meaning of this?" The woman demanded. The gods stopped arguing and stared up the temple stairs.
"Mother." Ray gasped. All the gods except Jack kneel down while Jack stares at her in shock.
"Is that.." Lincoln started.
"Mother Nature?" Lana finished.
"She must be." Lucy says before turning to Jack who still stood as still as a statue. Mother Nature looks over the Gods until her eyes rest on Jack where they immediately widen.
"Jack? Is that you my son?" Mother Nature gasped. She slowly walks down the stairs until she's right in front of Jack. "Is it really you?" She reaches out a hand but Jack steps back. "Jack?" Lucy walks over to Jack and looks up at the ice god.
"Jack?" Lucy called gently trying to get his attention.
"I-I..." Jack stammered. He shakes his head. "I'm sorry, Lucy. I can't this." Without warning, he raises his staff and flies off before anyone can say anything.
"Jack come back!" Lucy cried out.
"Dude where are you going!?" Luna questioned.
"He's a coward kids. There's no use trying to win him back." Sparks said.
"You don't know that!" Lucy snarled at Sparks.
"See maybe that's why he never came home because you keep putting him down!" Boom growled as he jabbed his finger at Sparks.
"Well maybe if he didn't break the rules, maybe I wouldn't be feeling like this!" Sparks retorted.
"Look I hate to get involved in your godly conflict, but can you guys fix the weather problem?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah, these weather problems could be getting worse dudes." Luna said.
However their words fell on deaf ears.
"You're all acting immature!" Breeze scoffed.
"Don't act all high and mighty Breeze." Ray retorted. "You're no better than the rest brah."
"And I can say the same for you Ray." Rosebud added. "Your eruption of Pompeii had destroyed many grape vines and plant life."
"Hey it's their fault for living near a volcano!" Ray replied.
"Oh don't blame the humans for trying to live." Breeze retorted.
"Quake no like fighting." Quake says. However, Ray turns his attention to the larger brother.
"Oh don't think you're innocent in all this Quake!" Ray shouted. "How about all the damage you've caused with your earthquakes? Or did all the deaths?" Quake let's out a growl.
"What fires older brother caused with sun?" Quake growled. As they argued, Mother Nature let's out a sad sigh and headed back to the temple. As everyone continued arguing, the Louds huddled up.
"Dudes, this is getting bad." Luna says. "We gotta do something."
"We need to find Jack." Lucy tells them. "I feel like there's more to the story than they know and Jack is the only ones with answers."
"Yeah but where did he go though?" Lana questions. Everyone goes quiet as they try to think and Lucy's eyes rest on the one God not arguing: Animelia. With no hesitation, Lucy approached the animal goddess and placed a hand on her shoulder to get her attention.
"Where would Jack go when he got upset?" Lucy asked. Animelia thinks about before replying.
"The ice section." Animelia answered. "It was always somewhere he could go to clear his head." Lucy nods and turns to her siblings.
"I'll go after Jack." Lucy tells them. She then gestures to the gods. "You try to stop them from arguing."
"Sounds good Luce." Luna says with everyone nodding in agreement. "Good luck." Lucy nods and flies off. Meanwhile the rest of the Louds turn to the Godly siblings. "Ready to fix a family dudes?"
"This time. It's going to be a different outcome from the sister fight protocol." Lincoln said determined.
"This will make my arguments between me and Lola look like a tea party." Lana smirked,
"Let's do this dudes." Luna says before they run towards the gods.
When Lucy arrived at the ice section she knew for sure it was the right place because of how cold it was.
"This is the place." Lucy says. "Now to find Jack." She walks around the section looking around for any place Jack could possibly be hiding when she sees a hill in the distance. Curious she heads over there and walks up it. As she nears the top, Lucy sees a figure sitting alone on top of the hill overlooking the section. When she reaches the top she sees that it's indeed Jack sitting alone on the hill. Lucy then walks over and sits next to him.
"Animelia told you where I'd be huh sheila." Jack said not looking at her.
"Yeah." Lucy responds simply. Jack sighs.
"I bet you think less of me now that you know why I was exiled from here." Jack says.
"No." Lucy again responds simply. "I don't."
"You don't think so? Did you deep frozen a continent that was meant for future civilization?" Jack asked.
"Well no not like that." Lucy said.
"That's what I thought." Jack says with a sigh. "Who'd want a screw up like me?" He then feels arms wrap around him and he looks down to see Lucy hugging him from behind.
"Well I think you're great." Lucy tells him. A small smile forms on Jack's face as he places one of his hands on Lucy's.
"Thank you, Lucy." Jack says. They stay in the position for a little longer before Lucy let's go and sits next to him.
"Jack, I need you to tell me the truth." Lucy tells him. "Did you really make all those places cold and deep freeze Antarctica for your own selfish desires?" Jack looks down at her and sighs.
"No. It was never for me." Jack responds. "I..I did it for someone else. Even if they didn't want me too. So they would be happy. I took sole responsibility for it so that they wouldn't get accused of having me do what I did." Lucy tilts her head in confusion.
"Who did you do it for?" She asks.
"He did it for me." Jack and Lucy turn and see Animelia standing behind them. "He did it for me." Animelia repeated. Jack's eyes widen and he immediately stands.
"Crikey Animelia what are you doing?" Jack demanded. Animelia places a gentle hand on the side of his face.
"It's ok." Animelia assured him. "We've kept this secret for centuries. It's time we told the truth." She turns to Lucy. "You see a few centuries ago I created a few animals that could survive extreme cold. Unfortunately at the time, the Ice Age was long finished and Mother had no intention of starting another. At the time there wasn't any place cold enough to sustain them so they never would've been able to survive on Earth." She turns to Jack. "That's when Jack had an idea. He would make several territories on Earth cold enough that the animals would survive. I..didn't want him to do it because it seemed too risky but he insisted that everything would be fine."
"So that explains why Antarctica and cold climates exists, so you can give Artic animals a home." Lucy said.
"Yes. It was the only way to help them." Animelia said. "Jack may have helped me out. But now I'm going to help him."
"No. I refuse to let you take the fall for what I did." Jack says. Animelia looks up at her brother with a small smile.
"Jack, it's ok." She assures him. "I'm sure Mother will understand. She's missed you so much."
"Speaking of which." Lucy says. "Why did you run away when she showed up?" Jack sighs.
"It's complicated." Jack answered. "The last time I saw her was roughly around the 1800s."
Flashback- 1801
Jack stood on a rock formation looking over a small town in Australia. Ever since he arrived there several centuries prior, Jack had felt at home at the village as the people took him in not long after his banishment. While over the years, the people have changed the one thing that hadn't was their hospitality towards Jack. So for the past few centuries Jack had been serving as it's protector.
"This is a different change of scenery." Jack turned around see Mother Nature.
"Hello mother." Jack said coldly.
"Hello there Jack." Mother Nature greeted. "You're looking well."
"I mean, I try." Jack responded. "So why are you here?" Mother Nature flashes him a kind smile.
"I'm here to tell you that you're exile is finished." She tells him. "I believe you've learned humility which is what you were lacking when you were exiled. So now you can come home my son." Jack looks at her surprised before narrowing his eyes.
"No." Jack replied. "I'm not coming home."
"Perhaps you didn't hear me? I said that your exile has finished." Mother Nature repeated.
"I hear you. I'm not going back, this is my home." Jack replied.
"But Jack it's been so long." Mother Nature argued. "Why won't you come home?" Jack scowls at her.
"Why would I go back to the place that doesn't want me?" He responded. "Down here, the people want me. The people like me. Hell they trust me. Unlike my own family. I ain't coming home Mother. Never again will you ever see me."
Mother Nature stood in silence and sighed. "Very well. But don't come crawling back if this world turns its back on you." She began to walk away and began to fade away.
"Farewell, Mother." Jack says.
End Flashback
"We said things." Jack said. "Things that shouldn't have been said. Seeing Mother again, brought back some memories. I just wasn't ready to face her, not like I thought I was."
"You can still make amends." Lucy said. "You can either wallow in your self pity or apologize to your mother."
"You're wrong sheila." Jack says. "Really wish I knew why Earth's weather is weird. Strangly enough this is only the third time it's happened." Lucy looks up at the ice god.
"I remember you saying that but you never said when it happened." Lucy said.
"Well the first time wasn't long after my exile." Jack replied. "It was definitely a strange time. I thought my siblings were punishing the world for my mistakes. The second time wasn't long after I last saw my mother."
"Don't you think you would want closure with your family?" Lucy asked. "My siblings and I fight and argue all time. Ok sure we don't cause crazy weather patterns. But maybe you can try and talk to them?"
"But we didn't cause the crazy weather issues all those years ago." Animelia says out of nowhere. "After your exile we all went to our own sectors. The only way for the weather to be random is if the weather gods are all in the temple." Jack takes in his sister's words when he remembers something.
"That's not the only way." Jack said in realization. "Only one god controls everything." Animelia's eyes widen.
"No. It can't be." She says. Lucy looks at both of them confused.
"Wait. Who are we talking about?" Lucy asks. The two gods look at the young ice user and they answer at the same time.
"Mother."
Back at the temple, the remaining Louds were trying to stop the godly siblings from arguing.
"Now come dudes. You can't be mad at Ray for causing eruptions." Luna said.
"I mean sure some animals have been long gone, but to be fair Dodo birds are pretty useless." Lincoln said.
"Is it really worth arguing arguing over who's fault it is when rainstorms get really bad?" Lana questions.
"So what trees get cut down. Plant another one." Lily babbled.
However despite their best efforts, they were getting nowhere.
"Dudes, this is getting intense!" Luna exclaimed as she tried to pull Sparks back. "If we don't do something soon, they're gonna start a godly brawl!"
"Lucy better be back soon with Jack or it's starting to get ugly." Lincoln said.
"What did you think the result will be will many gods fighting?" Lana asked,
"If just Ray and Jack fighting created the Grand Canyon, I'm pretty sure with this many Gods fighting it'll probably cause complete annihilation." Lincoln answered.
"Wiping out everyone and everything on Earth." said Luna.
"Sorry I asked." Lana muttered. "What do we now?" Before anyone can answer they hear a voice shout above the fighting.
"Oi mates! Knock it off you crazy dingos!"
The Louds look to see both Jack Frost and Lucy running in, Lucy stoped to stay with her siblings as Jack runs up to his siblings. "Just in the nick of time Luc." Luna said.
"Yeah, we couldn't even end this feud. Not even my convincing suit couldn't stop it." Lincoln said.
Jack walks up to his siblings. "You gotta let me in the Temple." He tells them.
"Jack I already told you that you've lost that privilege." Breeze told him. Jack let's out a frustrated groan.
"Listen it's a matter of life and death right now." Jack told them. "I know why the weather on Earth is acting weird and it's somewhat my fault. Long story short, Mother is causing the weather problems from inside the Temple because most likely she's having an emotional breakdown. And it's my fault." His older siblings look at him confused before Animelia walks up to stand with him.
"Let him go on in." She tells them. "Jack is the only one who can fix this. And when all said and done, Jack will finally tell you all the truth of why he froze all those lands centuries ago."
"Alright fine." Sparks said.
"You had a reason besides using it as a snowboarding area?" Ray questioned.
"Animelia will explain." Jack says with finality. "Just don't be too hard on her. It was still my decision to make. And this whole thing with mother, that's all my fault and I'm gonna fix my mistake!" Without another word he runs into the Temple. "Mother, all these years I wanted nothing to do with this family. Absolutely loathed everyone here not realizing that I was hurting you. I made a mistake and I'm gonna make things right." He arrives at the center of the Weather Temple and is met with an alarming sight: Mother Nature floating in the air surrounded by the elements with her eyes glowing white. "MOTHER!" He tries to rush forward but the elements blast him back.
"Jack, my little boy." Mother Nature says. "I failed you my son. You needed me all those centuries ago but I failed. I failed as a mother!"
"Mother! I'm right here!" Jack shouted as he tried to get through the elements again but once again was forced back. "Mother! I'm here!" However she didn't seem to notice him or hear him.
Jack tried to run back towards the temple and uses his ice powers to put out some of the elements, but it's not enough. "Come on." He grunted.
"Can't give up." Jack growled. He steps towards the surrounding elements and steps through them, getting bombarded as he did. Each step was a struggle as he pushed towards Mother Nature as she didn't seem to know he was there. "You haven't failed Mother. If anyone has failed, it's me. I failed as a son. I'm not going to fail again. Once he was close enough, he jumps up and grabs her hand. "I'm here Mother! Look at me!"
"Jack?" Mother Nature questioned as she looked around.
"Look at me mother!" Jack said.
"Jack. I failed you." Mother Nature cries. "I failed as your mother! I don't deserve you as my son!"
"NO!" Jack shouted. "I failed you more than anything. I failed as your son! Everything that has happened is all my fault. I'm sorry mother but you need to need to forgive yourself!" Mother Nature's eyes stop glowing and go back to normal. The elements surrounding them dissipates as Mother Nature starts lowering herself to the ground. Jack lands first and catches Mother Nature in his arms before gently setting her on the ground. After a few seconds, Mother Nature opens her eyes.
"Jack?" Mother Nature says as she places a hand on his cheek. "My son. You've grown so much."
"Only because you put me in the position to do so." Jack responds.
"Why did you return?" Mother Nature asked as tears began to form in her eyes.
"There have been some strange weather patterns on Earth. I promise some friends of mine to fix it." Jack explained.
"I see." Mother Nature says. "I believe I'm the cause of those problems." Before she can continue Jack interrupts.
"Don't. You've may have caused those problems but I'm the reason you did it in the first place." Jack tells her. "Because of me you've had emotional breakdowns causing the weather the be unbalanced." He and Mother Nature stand up and look each other in the eye. "I'm sorry, Mother. For everything." Mother Nature doesn't respond. Instead she pulls him into an embrace.
"I love you my son." Mother Nature says.
"I love you too, Mother." Jack responds. As they embrace they hear footsteps approaching. They turn and see the rest of their family and the Louds approaching. Seeing the mortals, Mother Nature turns to her youngest son.
"I assume these are the friends you're trying to help?" She asks and Jack nods. "Then perhaps it's time I introduce myself properly." She steps away from Jack and walks over to the Louds. "Greetings children. My name is Mother Nature. Welcome to the Naturerealm. It's an honor to meet the friends of my son."
"It's an honor to meet you too." Luna responded.
"Yeah likewise." Lincoln replied. "Jack helped us out a lot during our situations."
"He's taught me a lot as well." Lucy told her. "It's thanks to him that I'm getting stronger."
"Huh, I didn't expect you to be someone Jack teaching." Mother Nature said.
"Sometimes it's better to be unexpected." Lucy replied.
Mother Nature smiles at her and places a hand on the young girl's head. "I couldn't agree more." She says. As they talked, Jack stepped up.
"Mother, i have something I need to confess." Jack says as Mother Nature turns to him. Jack then tells her the truth about everything that happened all those centuries ago. From his talk with Animelia to him freezing the areas that he did to his battle with Ray. This time he admitted why he did everything that eventually got him exiled. "I was only trying to help my sister. She didn't ask me to do it. I chose too. So don't punish her. It's still all me."
"So you didn't create Antarctica because you were bored. You just wanted to help." Mother Nature said. "Your actions were noble, despite breaking the rules."
"I'm sorry Mother." Jack said again. "Again I withheld much of the truth so no one thought Animelia asked me to do it. I know I should've told the truth, but I couldn't risk her getting in trouble."
"You're not going to punish Animelia are you?" Lana asked.
"No, I will do no such thing." Mother Nature said.
"Really?" Animelia gasped. Mother Nature nods.
"Yes. Our family has been separated long enough and it's time to work on healing." Mother Nature says. She turns to Jack. "But what will you do my son? Will stay on Earth or come home?" Jack goes quiet and thinks about his answer before nodding.
"As much as coming home would be nice, I'm afraid I can't. "I've got obligations on Earth as it's protector and I am it's strongest protector. But I will come home more often to visit." Jack answered. He feels a hand on his shoulder and he looks over to see it's Ray.
"Very mature little brother." Ray says. "And I'm sorry. For everything. I hope you'll eventually forgive me." Jack smirks at him and pulls the Sun God into a hug.
"That's pretty much." Lana said.
"Yeah it's heartwarming in a way." Lincoln said.
Sparks let's out a sigh and walks over to her brothers as they separate. She and Jack stare each other down before Jack holds his arms. With an eye roll and a small smile on her face she walks over into his open arms where the two embrace.
"Now that's wicked dudes." Luna says as she puts her arms around her own siblings.
"Yeah we met some Gods and fixed up their family drama." Lincoln said. "A lot better than our family drama I must say."
"Yeah that's for sure." Lana replied.
"Least our family drama doesn't threaten the planet and then some." Lucy pointed out.
"True." Her siblings say in unison. Once Sparks and Jack separated the Gods all turned to the Louds.
"I gotta thank you mates." Jack says. "If it weren't for you, I don't think I would've ever repaired my relationship with my family."
"Don't mention it dude." Luna assures him with her siblings voicing their agreement. "It's what we do."
"Naw brah we owe you kids something." Ray tells them. "First off, you kids want to keep training here with us?"
"We might as well." Lincoln said.
"We just need to let our siblings know about this too." Luna stated.
"Actually, I have a better idea." Mother Nature tells them. "Step forward children." The Louds step forward Mother Nature motions for Luna to put Lily on the ground. "Now, my children step forward." Ray, Sparks, Rosebud, Animelia and Jack step forward until they're in front of their proteges. "My children, you know what to do." The gods nod and turn to the kids.
"No matter what, don't move and don't panic." Ray instructs them. "I promise you that this won't hurt little dudes." The Louds turn to Jack for assurance who nods. They then turn back to their respective teachers. Ray then extends his hand over Lincoln who's then engulfed in a inferno. Sparks does the same thing with Luna except she's surrounded by electricity. Rosebud crouches down in front of Lily and flicks his fingers up resulting in several vines and stalks growing from the ground and surrounding Lily. Animelia lifts both of her hands summoning several insects and birds to fly into the temple and fly around Lana. Jack finally raises his hand and surrounds Lucy with ice and snow. As the Louds are surrounded by their respective elements and natures, they realize that their was no pain. In fact they felt nothing. After a few minutes the Gods stop their respective abilities. The Louds look at each other confused.
"Um, what was the point of that?" Lincoln asked. Jack let's out a chuckle.
"Look at your arm mate." Jack replied. "The one with the animal marks." Lincoln does as ordered and his eyes widen when he sees just above the wolf image is a picture of the sun.
"Whoa." Lincoln says. The rest of the Louds look at their arms and like Lincoln, above their arms were new images. Luna had a lightning bolt, Lucy had a snowflake, Lana had a pawprint and Lily had a flower.
"They're symbols for completing your training." Mother Nature said. "Now remember since your mortals your new abilities will Mac your limits so use them wisely."
"We know. Well only use them when it's necessary." Luna replied.
"Those symbols will also allow you to teleport back here for more training." Jack added. "So if I'm busy just touch the symbols and you'll teleport to your respective god teacher."
"Sounds perfect. We don't have to be absent from Royal Woods." Lincoln said.
"Good. The last thing we want is to be away during a big threat like this." said Luna.
"There's no need to worry about that no more." Mother Nature assures them. "Now that my son and I have made peace, there's no need to fear. The weather should go back to normal now."
"That's good to hear." Lana said.
The Louds then turn to Jack."I think it's time we head home Jack." Luna says.
"Good idea sheila." Jack said right before looking back at his family. "It was nice seeing you all again."
"Same to you little brother." Ray says. "Don't forget to visit every now and then." Jack smirks.
"I plan on it mate." He says.
Jack gathered the loud siblings and with a tap of his staff a cyclone of snowflakes surround the group and disappeared.
The group has arrived back at the warehouse. "Well that was an adventure." said Lana.
"Tell me about it." Luna says. She looks around the base. "Looks like everyone is still out."
"Probably still doing damage control." Lincoln comments. "Probably a hell of a mess to clean up."
"Even more of a mess than the Earthquake I presume?" Lucy asked.
"Possibly?" Luna shrugged.
"Should we go out also?" Lana asked.
"Don't see why not dudes." Luna replied before turning to Jack. "Shall we?"
"Of course Shelia." Jack replied as they began to walk towards the exit.
"Jack do you think the weather patterns were caused by your mother?" Lucy asked,
"Yes I do." Jack answered. "Mother controls all of nature. However when her emotions get out of control, so does the weather."
"Ah I guess that makes sense." Lucy said.
"It's the simple answer Shelia. Now come on we have work to do." Jack said as he walked away.
At Tetherby Industries Andrew steps into the lab towards Stewart who was standing in front of a pod.
"Is it ready?" Tetherby asked.
"He's up and ready."'Stewart replied.
"Good. Now open the pod." Tetherby said.
Stuart presses a few buttons and the pod opens. Seconds after it opened, a large creature stepped. It was humanoid with extremely large muscles and stood almost eight feet tall. It had orange skin and black hair and wore ripped black pants.
"I'm so glad we put pants on him." A scientist muttered however nobody heard him.
"He's perfect." Tetherby said with a smile. He turns to Stuart. "Will we be able to control him?" Stuart nods.
"We should in theory." He answers. "However not sure for how long. We've created a clone of one of the strongest creatures this city has ever seen."
"Very well." Tetherby responded. "Unleash into the city where he can destroy everything draw out the L-Crew where he can definitive destroy them." He looks up at his monster. "Isn't that, Berserker?" As soon as the monster's name was spoken, his eyes open and let's out a low growl.
Smoke: Ok we met Jack's family and learned more about him. We originally had plans to introduce someone else. But we were lacking in the action department from the last few chapters. But yeah we brought back Beserker. Now no this is not going to be like Captain America Brave New World, I have yet to see that film. Plus this was planned out long before that film was greenlit.
Zachlor16: Exactly. Ok. Now that that's out of the way let's address a few things. Now recently we've seen some criticism in the reviews concerning a few things and Smoke and I have decided to address right here right now. The first thing we're gonna address is the pacing. Yeah we ain't gonna deny it, the pacing has slowed down and that definitely stems from mostly poor planning on our part. And a lot of that stems from us wanting to do something but need certain things to happen first before we can do said things. Now we do have three big arcs coming up, we need to do certain things and introduce specific characters before we can do those arcs. And because we have so much planned for this season, that kinda slows things down. Now that does like an excuse but that is the reason and we do promise to do better in that regard. Now here's Smoke to address the other thing.
Smoke: Yeah I know people are getting sick and tired of the Terror Crew and wished they would get killed off. First off we're not planning on killing them off, mostly because they're needed for an upcoming arcs. I know people are getting sick and tired of the Terror Crew, and well creating new villains isn't as easy as it looks. We don't want to repeat powers and abilities we already covered. Just to recap, no we're not killing off the Terror Crew, sorry to disappoint you guys. But it ain't happening. Please read and review.
Zachlor16: See ya next time guys!
