Season 4: Episode 9

Negan smirked as he finally stepped out of the boat dock building.

"Well, I must say it's a wonderful day for swim, don't you think?" He remarked tauntingly.

"MMMMMMMMMM MMMM!" The captives instantly started screaming, desperate and fearful.

They knew full well what that meant and instantly tried to struggle hard against their bonds, to get loose, knowing full well what he was intending now. Marissa and Enid were no longer caring about holding their skirts down now for sure.

Negan just shook his head before picking up Enid and Sophia, panicking them.

"Now, now, take it easy...we don't have a suitable audience yet." He taunted further.

That didn't make them any calmer, he was making them even more scared, he was waiting for people, likely the police and such to show up, so he could get his revenge and rub it in at the same time. He sat the two of them down on the dock, they looked up at him with wide, panicked eyes.

"Don't go anywhere." He said sarcastically.

He then strolled back, whistling as if he didn't have a care in the world, as he went to retrieve his next two victims, Carl and Brian before going back one more time for Marissa.

"Now, let's get you all set up." He said casually.

He then shocked them by untying Brian and Marissa's ankles and stood them up, forcing them to hobble towards the end of the boat dock.

"MMMMMMMMM!" They cried.

Sophia, Enid and Carl struggled mightily, screaming through their gags as they watched this horror show.

Soon they were on the wooden tongue of the pier itself, surrounded by nothing but water, their captor and their fellow captives. No one around, no one to save them. He stopped them at the very lip of the pier, then pushed them face-to-face together, taking a long rope and tying the two friends' bodies together, Marissa winced at the rough ropes again chafing her bare legs. He left them standing tottering on the slippery pier while he went back to the hut, returning with a cinder block and more rope. All the captives eyes started wildly at his cargo.

'No, please, don't do it, please don't hurt us, let us be!' Their minds raced.

Brian and Marissa had managed to stay in control of themselves until Negan put the cinder block down at their feet and retied their ankles. But as he tied their bound feet to the cinder block, their terror finally got the better of them, and they dissolved into squealing, sobbing tears.

'No, please, don't do this to us, don't hurt us, we don't want to die!' They thought desperately.

"Time to go for a little swim, you two. Ah, and here is our audience," Negan with a cruel smile as they writhed and wept.

Sure enough, Rick and Michonne were rushing up, their fear evident as a mix of other police and FBI agents also ran up. Negan chuckled and picked up the cinder block—Marissa could hear Rick screaming something. And suddenly she was tumbling in the hot air—the water spun beneath her—she saw Brian's eyes huge, shattered, terrified—

'NO! PLEASE!'

Then a sharp splash turned into a million cold knives stabbing deep into her helpless body—the water closed over her face, her head, the surface receding above her as the cold water paralyzed her body—

'No! PLEASE!'

The small part of her brain that wasn't yet consumed with fear realized something unfortunate, she was suffering yet another humiliation or would if anyone saw her. The style of her skirt meant it floated up in the water, fully showing her black panties.

Marissa's rational mind stopped, the swirling water instantly numbing her mind as well as her body. She tried to writhe against the rope binding her and Brian to the cinder block, but her body would not respond. She tried to see Brian, but the darkness was almost total, and the pressure in her chest as her lungs held desperately to their last breath of air was so bad she felt like she would explode. Finally, she saw Brian, wriggling just beside her, his eyes huge and darting with terror. Brian!—then she saw a stream of bubbles burst from Brian's nose—his lanky frame convulsed.

'NO!'

Then suddenly Brian's eyes stopped moving, staring emptily at her—And Marissa too felt her last breath escaping her, saw the bubbles rise from her nose upward to the surface— no! A further humiliation that was only known to her as the water had already completely soaked all her clothes, including her panties, but she felt herself loose control, her bladder emptying.

'I have to breathe!'

Then finally she could hold it back no more, her body's instinct for respiration took over, her diaphragm moved, and the icy water filled her lungs—she felt her body convulse from the cold water invading her lungs—and the darkness closed in on her, fringed with an eerie light she could not understand as she felt a sudden peacefulness come over her, saw images of her life emerge from the darkness even as that darkness overtook the strange, comforting light.

But as she slipped away, she didn't see the two figures diving into the water, armed with knives With a few short deft movements Rick and Michonne cut the duo free. With no other time they acted quickly and pulled the duo to the surface and to the dock again, they quickly removed the gags and began CPR. Now free of their own bonds and gags, with Negan already arrested and removed, Sophia, Carl and Enid watched in horror as Brian and Marissa lay there, lifeless, free and no longer gagged but clearly drowned. But Rick and Michonne desperately continued their CPR until suddenly, their eyes snapped open and they began coughing up water. Looking around wildly it took a while but it was clear to them at last that they had been saved, that they were safe, everything was going to be alright now.
