He turns to see that the screen has gone black "it causes the screen to stop working, well guess it's break time" he said and snapped his fingers causing food to appear again
(about 1 hour later)
Unlike the last two breaks which were chaotic and quite eventful, this one had a lazier and more unenergetic atmosphere. After spending the last few hours watching the future, and all the other chaotic things that had happened so far, everyone was drained of most of their energy
Almost everyone-both humans and dragons-were either sleeping or lazily lying around. There was some small talk here and there but the overall atmosphere was quite
Coming over to the resident love birds, who were both surrounded by their dragons so no one could see them
Astrid was practically lying on top of Hiccup with her hair untied and head on his chest and arms wrapped around his waist. Hiccup also had his arms around Astrid as he leaned back on Toothless, staring at the roof deep in his own thoughts
"What are you thinking about" Astrid's voice broke his chain of thought
He looked down at her smiling "nothing much, just….. thinking how unreal this entire situation seems. Like this just some super weird dream I'm having and nothing is actually real"
Astrid hummed "I know what you mean, but if this really is a dream" she says as her face leans closer to Hiccup's "than I'm content with never waking up" she kisses him to which he eagerly responds
They both lazily kiss for a bit before it becomes more intense. Hiccup leans forward and sits straight with Astrid still in his lap, both of their hands travelling up and down the other's back and pulling them closer. Feeling uncharacteristically bold Hiccup opens his mouth and moves his tongue across Astrid's lips seeking entry. Astrid gasps and Hiccup's tongue enters her mouth, both of their tongues intertwine and they explore each-others mouths
After about 10 minutes they both break away to breath and fall back into their original position, breathing hard, smiling from ear to ear and faces redder than a crate of strawberries
Astrid suddenly yawns "someone looks sleepy" Hiccup teased her, then yelped when she punched his shoulder
"of course I am, it's been hours since we got here" she resorted, her eyes barely open
"Fair enough, you should get some sleep" Hiccup suggested and moved her off him to get up. But stops when Astrid grabs his hand
"What about you? Aren't you tired" she asked raising an eyebrow
"A bit" he admitted "but not much, plus there's… something I need to do"
"Oh really" she sat up and smirked teasingly at him "you're not planning on having fun with other girls while I'm sleeping are you"
Hiccup smirked back "ah! You have uncovered my master plan"
Astrid rolled her eyes "well if that's the case" she grabs her axe "I'm gonna have to do something to keep you in line"
Hiccup's eyes widen as he eyes the weapon "ah am well- you see, it would be unwise to attack me, as Toothless is here to defend me, right bud" no response came for a bit before….
"Sorry to disappoint but your 'bud' has been asleep for the last 20 minutes" Stormfly chirped, causing Astrid to laugh and Hiccup to facepalm "useless reptile"
"Ok ok jokes aside" Astrid composed herself "what is it that you need do?" she enquired
Hiccup hesitated for a bit "I want to have a… talk with mom"
Astrid eyebrows shot up "didn't you say you already got the talk, you know when you were 6 years old….." she trailed off
Hiccup turned crimson "oh my- NOT THAT TALK! I meant I want to talk about the grey area here" he explained frantically waving his hands
"You need to be clearer babe" she said not getting the point
Hiccup sighed "I want to know why she did it. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy she's alive and back, but I still want to know why she didn't come back, where exactly she was, and just-" he stops his rambling as Astrid puts a hand on his shoulder
"Hey, I get it, with the entire situation I was surprised you didn't question her as soon as she revealed herself" Astrid said hone0stly
Hiccup sighs "I was thinking about asking, but then Heather asked us that question, and Param showed us, well…. You know" a faint blush appears on his cheeks
Astrid mirrors his blush "ya good point. Want me to come with you?" she asked, even though her eyes were barely open
Hiccup smiles and shakes his head "thanks for the offer but no. This is a topic I need to discuss with her privately, plus you need to sleep" he said kissed her forehead before standing up
"gowwd point" Astrid yawns smiling and laid down to sleep while Stormfly moves a bit to let Hiccup exit
Walking around looking for his mother, Hiccup observes that almost everyone is sleeping 'guess Astrid wasn't the only one tired' he thinks as he keeps looking around, hoping that his mother was awake
He then hears a series of familiar grunts. Looking towards it he sees….. an interesting site. Stoick, Agnar, Spitelout and Gobber were in an arm-wrestling match with Thor. Their wives were cheering them with Loki doing the same for Thor (though with less enthusiasm as Thor didn't really need it) while Param watched them while eating some garlic bread (I tend to mention whatever I'm eating irl while writing in the story)
With a final grunt Thor slam down all the other hands and wins "good attempt you guys, but I'm afraid the difference in power level is a bit too large" Thor said stretching his arm
Agnar sighed "well, that was the expected outcome"
"But you guys still did great" Ingrid said encouragingly
"Aye, going against a god isn't a joke" Valka added further "the fact you all lasted at all is impressive"
Hiccup walks up to them thinking about how to approach the topic
"Hey Hiccup" Param said suddenly, being the only one to notice his presence "how's is going?"
Hiccup jumps a bit "all good just… you know hanging around" he replied trying to sound casual
"You know I can still read minds" Param deadpanned
Hiccup sighs "ya forgot. So…. Can ya help me?"
Param stands and stretches "sure, I can give you a private space to talk with her"
"thanks" Hiccup says and turns to the group of adults (and two gods) in-front of him chatting with each other
He inhales a breath of air and goes forward "mom?"
Valka turns to look at him "yes son"
"I ummmm….. wanted to…. Talk to you about something" Hiccup asked nervously
Some of the adults raised their eyebrows in confusion but Valka understood what Hiccup meant, as she had been anticipating (and fearing) him to ask her about her 15 years of absence "I know….. what you want to talk about"
"o-oh….. that's go-good….." Hiccup said slightly surprised but was glad he didn't have to elaborate it more
"Well" Param clapped his hands gaining everyone's attention "you guys know the drill, think when your done and I'll remove the barrier"
Valka and Hiccup nod, Param snaps his fingers and the barrier forms around them
"sooooooo… what are they talking about" Thor asked not getting it.
Loki rolls his eyes "why obviously brother they are discussing about Valka not being there for 15 years of Hiccup's life" he explained. Then facepalmed when Thor mouth formed the shape of an 'o'
Bertha, Ignoring the two gods, turned to Stoick "shouldn't you be in their as well"
Stoick shook his head "I can understand her reasoning for not coming back, with all things we saw and how everyone used to act back then. The situation Valka lived through, it's not that surprising that things happened the way they did" he explained, a sad and understanding expression on his face and guilt and grief in his eyes "Once she explains that to Hiccup he'll forgive her as well I'm sure"
"We don't have to worry about that, Hiccup has a forgiving nature I'm sure he'll forgive her as well." Gobber said with confident "aren't I right ya old laddie" he raised an eyebrow towards Param in a slightly teasing tone
Param smiles confidently at him "yes you are" his confident raising hope in others as well. None of them able to see the crossed fingers behind his back 'at least I hope so. In all my experience one thing is certain for when Hiccup and Valka reunite…. Whether he forgives her or not is a coinflip no matter the timeline'
Inside the barrier Hiccup and Valka were just sitting there looking everywhere but each other
Valka cleared her throt, deciding to break the silence "so, what exactly do you want to ask me son"
Hiccup didn't reply immediately, trying to put together his words "the nest that you said you were taken to, how far away is it from berk?" that looked like a good question to start with
She looks the uncertain for a moment "I can't say for certain….. but I'd say about two days worth of travel maybe, on dragon of-course"
Hiccup nods looking at the floor "so it wasn't that far away from Berk" he looks up at her "so it wouldn't have been that difficult for you to fly to back to Berk, right?"
Valka swallows the lump in her throat and nods her head, eyes fixed to the floor "n-no it wouldn't have been"
Hiccup eyes her nervous figure for a bit before sighing "mom…" the word still sounded so foreign "did you not….. did you not come back because I am a hic-hiccup" his voice faltering at the end
Valka looked up at him shock "wha- NO! of-course not! You or your father had nothing to do with the fact that I didn't return! Being away from both you was the hardest thing I ever did" she ranted out fast trying to get her point across to him
"Then why didn't you return" he asked a bit harshly this time "I don't get it mom, you say you missed me and dad but yet you didn't try to return home for all these years"
"I wanted to son really, I did" Valka replied franticly "I thought… I thought I was protecting you from the dangers of my world. But I see now that I wasn't protecting you at all. I was just… running."
"Of-course you were running!" Hiccup exploded "how would being away from me protect me!? And even that doesn't explain why you never tried to return, you could have shown everyone the truth!"
"I-I didn't think it was possible, all around everywhere dragons were seen as nothing more than killing machines. I didn't believe peace was possible. I thought my efforts wouldn't change anything. You were so young, Hiccup... and the world was too broken to fix." Valka replied looking, and feeling, absolutely miserable
"No, it wasn't!" Hiccup shouted furiously "I was able to do it, sure it was difficult but it was possible!"
Valka opened her mouth desperately to respond but shuts her mouth and looks at the ground "I know….." she said quietly "I know, and that's what makes it worse"
Hiccup is taken aback a bit and looks at her expectingly "I-I thought I was doing the right thing, but now I see that I was just… just afraid"
"Afraid of what" Hiccup asked tentatively, raising an eyebrow
Valka composed herself a bit "all my life people always thought ill of me because of my wish to find a more peaceful way, sure I had some friends like Ingrid and Bertha, but most people thought I was stupid for thinking so and stayed away from me"
Hiccup furrowed his brows "but the way people talked about you, it was always with respect"
Valka nodded "everyone doubted me at first when me and Stoick married, but after a few weeks of seeing me perform my duties they're respect for me grew" she said "everyone still ignored my pleas but didn't say anything bad about me" she said and gulped again "I thought that if I returned everyone will label me as a traitor and I wouldn't get a chance to explain"
Hiccup's brain flashed images of his father disowning him "did you have that fear for everyone, or just dad?" he asked, shaking away the memories
Valka looked at him with knowing look in her eyes "I was always conflicted on that thought. On one hand I thought Stoick was too stubborn, while on the other I thought that if I talked to him patiently and showed him the truth, he would agree with me. But that only opened me to my biggest fear"
"What?" Hiccup asked looking intensely at her
Valka's eyes tear up a bit "I thought that if I returned and was labelled a traitor, then you and Stoick would have to face the consequences as well. You both would have been labelled as a traitor's son and traitor's husband and I just-, I didn't have the courage to face that consequence. I always imagined it would be hard for you and Stoick without me, but the thought of the alternative scared me so much I forced myself to believe it would be better if I didn't return" she finished with tears flowing down her face
Hiccup just sat there processing everything he just heard "you still could've come back, could've tried to show everyone the truth" he said keeping his gaze away from her
Valka nodded shakily "I-I know, I wish I could change my decision and come back but I can't. I know you may never forgive me, I know I don't deserve to be forgiven. I just need you to know that I always loved you Hiccup, I always did and I always will" she finished looking down and floor and crying freely
Hiccup finally looked at her shaking form, thinking over the entire conversation they had. He had always thought what having a mom would be like, how his mom would play with him, take care of him, protect him, always be there for him, all things she failed to do
But she's here now… and as it stands Hiccup saw that he could decide between continue being angry at her, or let her try to fix her mistake and be a part of his life again. He stood and went over to her making choice
Valka was startled when Hiccup suddenly hugged her, before she wrapped her arms around him as well. "Please don't leave me again mom, please don't" Hiccup whispered crying as well
"I won't son, I love you" she whispered back, tightening her grasp on him
Hiccup wanted to say it back but he couldn't, not yet. "I know mom" they both sat their hugging each other and crying their eyes out
Meanwhile outside the barrier all the parents along with Thor and Loki were sitting around the barrier anxiously. Param was standing at a little distance from the barrier, writing something on a clipboard
"What are you doing?" Astrid asked as she along with Stormfly and Toothless
Param quickly makes the board disappear "nothing, just some formalities"
Astrid raises an eyebrow, but before she can question it the rest of the group arrives
"What are you all up to" Heather asked seeing everyone huddled around the barrier
"Hiccup and Valka are having a….. talk about why she didn't return" Ingrid answered them, eyeing Stoick who was watching the barrier anxiously
Mr. Ingerman nods towards Stoick "that explains why he's so worried"
"How do you think the conversation is going" Ruffnut asked
"Hard to say" Fishlegs replied "it's a really complicated situation"
"hmmmmm…. Arhhgg the suspense is killing me" Gobber shouted out startling everyone around him
"Calm down Gobber" Bertha smacked the back of his head "just wait till they come out ok"
"Or you can ask Param, since he can read everyone's mind all the time he must know what is going on" Tuffnut said, causing everyone to look at him like he grew two heads like Barf and Belch
Ingrid turned to face Param "Par-" she in stopped by Param holding his hand in-front of her, before anyone says anything he starts counting
"5….4….3….2….1" the barrier disappears revealing Hiccup and Valka hugging each-other while crying
Everyone tensed up a bit, Stoick quickly moved to them "are you both okay?" he asked, worriedly looking at them
Hiccup backs up a bit and looks at his dad and smiles "not yet… but we will be" Valka nodded smiling as well
Stoick smiles back at them and scoops them up in a hug, everyone around them clapped and cheered
Param took a sigh of relief and muttered to himself "thank goodness they are good, them being angry is really annoying to deal with"
"Well ain't this precious" a gruff voice interrupted them, everyone turned to see Drago looking from the other side of the barrier smirking at the family
Stoick and Valka go rigid and tighten their grip on Hiccup, everyone stares as the air tenses up
Param coughs breaking the silence and stares pointedly at Drago causing him to grunt and leave
"Mom, dad, what's the deal with that guy?" Hiccup asked his parents as they relaxed
"You don't wanna know son" they both say at the same time and look at each other in surprise
"You'll see it later" Param answered before they could question each other "anyways, it's still gonna take some time for the storm to stop, you guys anything you wanna do on mind"
The teens looked at him hesitantly thinking whether to ask what they have on their mind or not. Param groans as he reads their minds "how do you still have questions about this place"
"Just a few little things" Fishlegs promised
Param sighs "ask away" he said as he, and everyone else, sits down
"Well to start off, after you gave us the history lesson Hiccup had asked why we weren't watching the parallel and while explained that the parallel's technically show us the past, you never answered the question?" Fishlegs asked curiously
Param looked like he was conflicted on how to answer the question "showing this entire ordeal is really complicated so I had to show you your timeline first" most of them raised their eyebrows, not really buying the explanation
'Why don't you just give them the proper explanation' Loki thought to Param
'Wow! What great idea genius! Why didn't I think of saying "the wi-fi had broken down and took a while to be repaired so I couldn't download the video recordings, so I just showed the demo footage Odin gave me to review till everything was fixed" to a bunch of Vikings and dragons!' Param thought back sarcastically
'….. good point'
"Well, if your done with that boring talk" Tuffnut said breaking Param's attention from the mind talk
"Why don't you give an answer to the mystery were trying to uncover" Ruffnut continued
"Who is Hiccup's true love?!" they both asked simultaneously, receiving blank stares from everyone
"th-that's like the question with the most obvious answer" Heather replied gesturing Astrid
Ruff and Tuff smile sinisterly at her "that's what it looks like at first young one" Tuff starts
"But what Param here has told us points to a totally different answer" Ruff continued
"What are you two talking about?" Param questioned
"Remember in the last break you told us about the other timelines" Tuff started
"And you told us in one of them Hiccup destroyed all of Berk and rest of the Archipelago" Ruff continued "and that includes Astrid"
"Meaning he didn't love her" they finished and then jumped in-front of Hiccup and start bombarding him with questions
"Who do you really love?!" "Why are you fooling Astrid!?" "DO YOU CHEAT ON HER IN THE FUTURE!?" "ARE YOU USING HER BECAUSE OF HER POPULARITY!?"
Hiccup is unable to answer as they don't stop to listen, they are only stopped by Param gaging them
"If your gonna ask questions from someone at-least wait for them to answer" he commented as he snapped his fingers again to make them both sit down "as to answer your question, that Hiccup may have destroyed Berk and killed everyone, but this one doesn't and won't because he is different"
"Different how exactly?" Dagur questioned startling the group, looking around everyone else was wide awake and paying full attention to the conversation that's going on
"Ofc everyone isn't lazy all of the sudden when we discuss anything about this place" Param mutters before continuing his explanation "the difference between them both is their souls are different. The soul of a person is their identity in the timeline, there may be many of the same person in many different timelines but their souls will always be different from each other which depicts their behaviour or personality" he explained slowly to everyone
"So, every soul is different between the timelines?" Viggo asked stroking his beard
Param nods his head "the difference can be small like, in one timeline Hiccup's soul is 50% sarcastic and 50% sassy, where as in another his soul I 50.001% sarcastic and 49.999% sassy, but it will be present. No two souls can ever be the same" he turned to the twins "so, while that Hiccup may have loved someone else and destroyed Berk, if this Hiccup's soul was to be put into him then he would not have done so" he finished snaping his fingers and removing their gags
The twins turn to Hiccup "we apologies for doubting your intentions" they said seriously,
"it's fine, just don't jump to conclusion the next time you come up with a theory" Hiccup says forgiving them instantly
"Plus….. you don't have to worry about whether he loves me or not" Astrid said mischievously "I can confirm that on my own" she said and shared a brief kiss with Hiccup
"Ya well, moving on" Snotlout said, making gaging at the pda "I have a very very very important question"
"Go on" Param encouraged with an amused look on his face
"You said that the difference between this and the parallel timeline is me flirting with someone" he asked, to which Param nods "well, who is she?" he asked with hopefully and joyfully
"I think I'll leave that as a surprise for you" Param replied thinking how everyone would react seeing him flirt with Valka
"I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Snot flirting with someone is the only difference between the timelines, despite the fact Bertha and Stoick are not related" Spitelout commented
"Ya that is the most notable difference, there might be some more differences but they are like basically 0.1% different making it not noticeable" Param explained "if it ever comes up the book will mention it but otherwise it'd probably not relevant"
"Huh, guess that makes sense"
"I was thinking something" Hiccup said looking at Param
"Always a dangerous thing" he replied smirking
Hiccup rolled his eyes "ya ya whatever, I am curious though, you said this room makes you listen to everyone's thought and makes everyone immortal, is there anything else it does?"
"Not that much more" Param says shrugging "the only other main thing this room does is make you not notice some small things"
"What things?" Mala asked
"Little things like… you remember how each seat is separated by each other, but when two or more people sitting next to each other try to huddle together the seats combine into a big seat for them to sit together" he said, a few people made surprised noises as they realised that what he said had happened
"Or when Toothless curls around Astrid and Hiccup their seats disappear so they lean on him" the three exchange shocked looks, realising that did happen
"Heck, it even makes you ignore big things like how the seats are all arranged row wise, like there is one row of seats, then one behind it that's a bit higher and so on. But right now, for the break all that has disappeared and it's all a flat area" he added, causing almost everyone to make various surprise noises as they
"And these reactions are the reason the room does so" Loki said as removed his hands from his ears
"This place gets more wilder with each question that's answered" Astrid muttered
"Now are all your questions answered?" Param asked sounding tired of the questions, as he starts drinking coffee again
Everyone shakes their heads, except for Dagur "how difficult would it be for you to defeat either of Thor and Loki in a battle?"
Everyone (except Param) stared at him, especially Thor and Loki looked at him harshly "I mean, with how easily he an detain Loki you can't say it's ridiculous to say he can hold his own against you…" he added weakly
"Should take 15 minutes top to take down both" Param said absentmindedly as he disposed the cup
At this Thor and Loki turn and direct their glares at him
"Are you trying to say we are weak!?" Thor asked angrily
"All I'm saying is that with how easy it is to detain you guys powers, it can't be surprising to think so" Param said nonchalant
"that's only because we let you do so" Loki defended "otherwise either one of us can easily wipe the floor with you"
"Sure…." Param rolled his eyes, causing the gods to become even more angry, while everyone else got more nervous watching them
Thor and Loki both stood up, their glares intensifying "well if you're so sure about that why don't we put that to the test" Thor said dangerously
"hmmmmm…" Param thinks for bit "sure sounds like fun way to kill time" he said as he stood up and snapped his fingers rearranging the room
Now there was a barrier with Param and the two gods in it in the middle of the room
"This is gonna be fun to watch" Snotlout said rubbing his hands together
"Who do you think is gonna win" Meatlug asked to no one specific
"10 gold coins say the gods will win" Ruffnut said
"20 say that Param will" Tuffnut said back, with this everyone put their bets on
"The barrier is modified to withstand your full strength, so don't whine about holding back your strength" Param said as he removed the bracelet from Loki's hand
"You sure about that, don't want you crying cus you lost" Thor said he spun his hammer in his hand
Param snorted, "ya right, you both will run away crying to Odin"
"we'll see won't we" Loki replied as he flexed his staff
Param held his right hand up and a sword hilt appeared in it
"He planning on fighting two gods using a sword hilt?" Rhyker asked
Param pressed a button which makes a blade come out of hilt, he then presses another which ignites the blade on fire
Everyone "ohhh"ed and "awwww"ed at the sight of the sword
"Wow, that's such a cool sword" Gustav exclaimed "how'd you make it?"
"I'm borrowing it from a friend" Param replied looking at the roof, causing Thor and Loki so snort "Stoick, you mind being the referee"
Stoick nodded and spoke "battle stances"
Thor and Param take offensive stances as Loki took a defensive stance from behind Thor
"Weapons ready" they all raise their weapons
"Fight!"
Param moves first, raising his left hand as an RPG appears in it and fires. Thor jumps and avoids the rocket which hits Loki behind him
Everyone jumps in surprise not expecting the attack, as the dust clears Loki is seen just fine with a protective shield formed around him
Thor doesn't waste a moment and quickly moves in to strike swinging his hammer, Param counters it with inferno. The two keep going back and forth for a bit, flares and sparks burst out as the two weapons clash again and again
Loki teleports to 5 feet behind Param and fires a beam at him, Param jumps and dodges causing the beam to hit Thor straight in the chest
Loki winces at this, "sorry brot-" a rocket hits him in the face and sends him flying
"at least try to make it difficult for me" Param said smirking, he then quickly doges right to avoid a lightning bolt from hitting him
"don't worry, were just getting started" Thor replied back and continued raining a barrage of lightning bolts on him
Param keeps on dodging easily when suddenly he gets stuck, he suddenly looks down to see his feet are frozen
Before he can react a barrage of lightning bolts hit him head on
Thor and Loki exchange smirks "hope that's difficult enough for you" Loki mocked him
"Nah, not even close" Param said from behind Loki startling him, before he can react Param kicks him in the shin and sends him flying
Thor throws his hammer towards Param, he jumps and dodges it but the hammer flies back hitting Param in the back and brings him to his knees
Thor grabs his hammer and strikes down on Param who blocks it, Param presses another button which releases Zippleback gas and causes a small explosion throwing Thor back
"Wow, that really is a unique weapon" Hiccup exclaimed wondering who made it
Loki fires a beam at Param which he blocks with a shield
"Looks like he has more weapons in his arsenal" Agnar said in surprise
Param pull out a minigun and starts firing at Loki who conjures a force-field to block the bullets, taking advantage of the distraction Thor fires lighting at him
Param dodges just in time to avoid getting hit, he then takes out a bottle and smashes it on the ground which creates a smoke cloud in the barrier
"COWARD!" Thor shouted "WHY DON'T YOU FIGHT HEAD ON!" he said and randomly shot lightning everywhere
"owwww! Careful you idiot you hit me!" Loki exclaimed as he was hit
Something moved behind Loki making him turn, nothing. Something moves again to his right, Loki keeps his guard up. He sees a silhouette of a person though the smoke and fire a freeze beam at it
"AHHHHHH!" his expression turns to a horrified one as he hears the scream of not Param
The smoke clears to reveal Thor frozen in ice
Before Loki can react Param uses a taser and stuns him making him fall to the ground
Everyone stares wordlessly for a sec, before half start cheering while the other half groan at the loss in betting
"Told you It'd be easy" Param said smirking as he removed the ice around Thor and the barrier around them
"You just got lucky" Thor muttered while glaring at Loki
"Sure, that totally what happened" a voice suddenly said, everyone turned to look at a girl with blue eyes and blonde looking strikingly similar to Astrid was hovering in the air
"The heck is she!?" Snotlout shouted the question on everyone's mind
"You didn't tell me you had a sister Astrid" Ruffnut exclaimed "I thought we were supposed to be friends!"
"I DON'T have a sister Ruffnut" Astrid replied to her overdramatic friend
"What are you doing here Avery" Param asked looking annoyed and exaggerated
"Aside from watching these idiots get their buts kicked" she replied getting glares from both gods "I am here for some official work, though you might wanna give some introductions" she gestured to all the confused Vikings and dragons
Param turned to them and sighed "everyone, this is Avery Agnar Hofferson, Astrid's sister from another timeline….. and the girl I mentioned had this job as well" he introduced and quickly put on some noise cancelation headphones
"WHAT!?" everyone shouted at the top of their lungs
"A warning would have been nice" Avery removing her hands from her ears
Everyone opened their mouths to say something but are silenced by Param snapping his fingers
"I know I know you have a lot of questions so just hear me out" Param said throwing a quick glare t Avery "I know I said that I don't know a thing about the other people, but her case is different because she was the first one chosen so she is Odin's messenger for the other people. And that's why I and the other three demons know about her"
Avery raised an eyebrow "demons?"
"Yes demons!" Param gave a look "the three demons who also have the job as well"
"Oh yes, the demons ofc" Avery said after a moment of confusion
Hiccup notices this but doesn't comment, knowing he won't get an answer
"Also" Param continued "don't ask any questions about her timeline cus they won't be answered" he finished and snapped his finger returning everyone voice
"So…. Does this mean she has a message from Odin" Hiccup asked, knowing any other question probably won't be answered
Param turns to Avery "that is the million-dollar questions ain't it" he said raising an eyebrow, Avery smirked and handed him a piece of paper
Param takes the paper and reads it "fucking hell" he exclaimed throwing his hands up startling everyone (other than Thor, Loki and Avery) "why does that old idiot always has to do this" he angrily sighed out
"Don't be so dramatic" Avery rolled his eyes
"I am not being dramatic! Every time he gives me a list of people to show the future to, I ask at least 5 times whether he wants someone else or not, and every time he says no but then gives more names to join watching mid-way through. EVERY FREAKING TIME!" Param replied frustratedly
"Ok fine you have point" Avery admitted "but getting frustrated with me or complaining about it isn't gonna change that"
"I know" Param groaned
"So….." Astrid said gaining their attention "is someone going to join us?"
Param looks at her, then turns to Hiccup before sighing again "yes, as per bosses order we are going to be joined by… Zephyr Haddock and Nuffink Haddock" he answered
Everyone's eyes widen. Hiccup and Astrid look at each other in shock, before fainting on the spot
"that's about the expected result" Loki muttered as everyone rushed to wake them
Param sighed again "watch them for a bit" he said as grabbed Avery's hand and disappeared into another room
"Three demons?" Avery instantly answered "unless I am mistaken, which I am not, you were supposed to tell them the others with this job were 14 angels, 27 demons, 50 orks, 42 humans-"
"And a million other creature species you came up with that I couldn't bother remembering" Param cut her off "so I just went with three demons"
"And me" Avery said accusingly "I never suggested giving my name"
"You didn't, but I knew you would appear in between the entire thing so I mentioned you beforehand" Param said rolling his eyes
Avery pouted at that "you take the fun out of these things, anyways I gotta get back to boss. Any request for him?" Param nodded and handed him the paper in which he was writing earlier
"This is a request to bring them all to the holiday plains area" Param told her "Mainly so that the haddocks can spend some time together"
"that's sweet of you" Avery commented "anyways bye" she said and kissed him on the cheek disappeared
"And now to pick up the Satan offsprings of the devils" he muttered as he teleported again
This time he appeared in front of a 14 year old Zephyr and an 11 year old Nuffink
"hello" they both greeted "you must be Param" Zephyr asked
"I am" Param nodded "did Odin how you two everything so far?" they nodded "and explained to you that you can't tell anyone about the future, even if ask" they nodded again "alright than let's go" he said and the three teleport back to the main room where Hiccup and Astrid had just gain consciousness again
"We are back" Param announced as everyone looked at him, and then at the girl and boy with him
"Hi mom! Hi dad!" the two greeted their parents, who fainted again along with the rest of the Haddock and Hofferson household
Param facepalmed and groaned "why me…"
