Saturday evening

"Um, can we come in?" Dick asked nervously as he stood in front of one Sally Jackson-Blofis. He tried not to fidget under her scrutiny.

She raised an eyebrow to the group of young vigilantes. When none of them attempted to flee from her, she let them into her home. The group of seven sat down, except for Barbara who had wheeled herself inside. "I'm assuming that Jason doesn't know that you are here?"

"No, he was busy dealing with a few things in Crime Alley," Stephanie said hastily.

"I see, so what do I owe you for this visit?" she asked.

"You care about Jason," Cass stated simply.

"I do," she replied back. Sally knew that it was not a question.

"We care about him as well and wanted to apologize for everything," Dick stated.

"I understand why you would place trackers in Camp Jupiter. Was it a smart idea? No, you have been crime fighting and running into weird things long enough to know not go poking around things that are magical. But I do understand wanting more information. But for the future, dealing with the gods is dangerous. Take caution dealing with the gods," Sally advised.

"Are you telling us to stop interacting with Percy and the others?" Barbara asked. She knew that Jason would refuse to abide.

"No, demigods are not entirely like their godly parent. Yes, they take on traits of their parent, but they also have traits from their mortal parent as well. I advise that if you want to remain friends with them, keep them close. Demigods are the best allies that you will ever have," Sally sighed. She knew she was wielding a double-edged sword. She did not want her demigods hurt, but she also did not want these heroes getting hurt because of the gods.

"Tt, hypocritical of you isn't," Damian commented. The youngest Wayne received several looks from his family, he ignored them.

"I know. I am not happy about this, do not mistake me," Sally said with a sharp glare that cowed the younger boy. "But I do know that Percy cares about Jason and the others that are part of the Justice League. Percy's fatal flaw is loyalty. He has expressed wanting to help the League after he graduates from New Rome. Percy will always do what he can. So no, I am not happy, nor do I want him to join, but Percy is old enough to make his own decisions. I will respect his decision."

"What can we do to help?" Tim asked.

"There's not a lot you can do. Yes, you have Hestia's blessing to enter Camp Half-Blood, but that is not the same that Jason received from Poseidon. I'm not even sure what happened there to be able to tell you what the difference is," Sally sighed.

"Can we help train demigods? Chiron had said that the world doesn't understand them, and I get the feeling that many demigods don't understand the world. We could have them work with the team to have demigods become integrated to the world," Dick offered.

"So, were you going to come back?" Clark asked as he sat across from Diana at a café in D.C.

"We wanted to, but it was not our call," Diana sighed.

"I find that untrue," Clark snapped. He was getting frustrated with the whole situation.

"The gods, especially my father Zeus, are not the easiest to deal with," Diana started. "There are rules in place to protect demigods and gods. Themyscira had regulations in place for us to be bound to the gods. Those of us on Themyscira were charged with protecting mankind. Our mortal sister Amazons, were still charged with protecting the gods, but have more freedom in interacting with the mortal world. I broke laws to be able to do what I do. The mortal Amazons, they take in people who are loyal to the gods, be it demigods or mortals. The Hunters take in mortals, demigods and others."

"Others?" Clark asked with an eyebrow raised

"Nymphs, dryads, and other spirits that have sworn off men," Diana smiled to herself. "But that the Hunters are not Amazons."

"Um, I feel like that there is something there that we need to dissect," Clark said in awe.

"Some of the groups that were present the other day were those that were part of the mortal Amazons, Hunters of Artemis, and the House of Life. Then there are those that are from Camp Jupiter and Half-Blood," Diana said as she took a drink of her coffee. "It was a show of force to show you all that our allies are not just limited to those that reside in the camps."

"We are not looking to go to war with children," Clark tried to defend.

Diana let out a sigh. "You are going to have to change your way of thinking. They are not children and if you treat them like children, you will have issues. Demigods, Hunters, Amazons, and their allies stopped being children the moment they became aware of the gods. When they became aware, they were hunted down like animals. So no, they are not children, and you can not treat them like children."

"We want to help," Clark said as he back tracked.

"I will talk with Chiron about having him meet with the League so that way we can see what can be done," Diana stated as she finished her coffee. "Percy has already laid out terms, so I would suggest following through."

"You know, Lois has been trying to convince me to talk with some about everything. She was very happy to find out that we all got pushed into have therapy," Clark stated with a pout. He knew that things would be good in the long run.

"From what I understand, the Legion is giving you some of their best to help. Camp Half-Blood is having Bernard, Will, and Pollux help as needed," Diana said with a fond smile.

"You trust these demigods?" Clark asked.

"Mark is a Roman son of Apollo. He served his 10 years in the Legion and then mustered out. He has run a successful practice. Jenna is still part of the Legion, but she just finished college at New Rome for being a trauma counselor. She has two more years of service," Diana started to explain.

"Is she a demigod?" he asked.

"Yes, her father is a minor god," she replied.

"And those three are also sons of Apollo that are coming from Camp Half-Blood?" Clark asked as he finished his coffee.

"Will and Bernard are half brothers. Pollux is the son of Dionysus," she replied. "Since his brother died in the first war, he has taken classes for grief counseling." She watched as her friend wanted to offer condolences. "Don't apologize or offer condolences. Pollux would not want them. His twin died defending his home. Pollux made peace with that and is using his experiences to help people."

Clark nodded his head in understanding. If he said something, it would be to late. He was also not there or able to have helped. Clark knew from experience that apologies were awkward and not wanted.

"So, what are we going to do?" Annabeth asked as she and Percy were curled up in the Poseidon Cabin.

"Oh you know, survive and move forwards," Percy laughed.

"I'm being serious," Annabeth said as she sat up to glared at her boyfriend.

"So am I," he stated as he watched her. "We move forwards everyday. We live our lives and show that we are not beaten."

"I love you," Annabeth sighed as she settled back down beside him on the bed.

"Marry me?" Percy asked as he stared at the woman beside him.

Annabeth scrambled up so fast from where she had just settled down to. "What?"

"Marry me," Percy stated as he sat up on his bed. "I don't mean right now or even tomorrow. I mean, marry me as soon as we finish this up coming school year, before we start at New Rome. I want to finish this chapter of our lives together and start the next one together."

"Okay," she stated with a whisper.

"Okay?" Percy asked, excitement glistening in his eyes.

"Okay!" Annabeth launched herself into her fiancé's arms. "But! I want a ring!"

"Good, because I've had this for awhile now," he laughed as he leaned over and opened his footlocker that he had moved to the head of his bed. He hadn't known when he was going to propose, he just knew that it was coming. Percy handed the ring box to his fiancé.

Annabeth could hardly breathe as she opened the box. Nestled in the box was the perfect ring. It was a round cut, salt and pepper diamond, with the other diamonds surrounding it on both sides. Those diamonds were sea green. The band was white gold, making the gray and green pop. She knew it was perfect. "How did you?"

"What, you think those long hours that I disappeared to go visit my father were for nothing?" Percy asked with a laugh as he slipped the ring onto her finger.

"Excuse me for thinking that you wanted to spend time with your family," she huffed as she continued to stare at the ring.

"Oh no, I spent time with them. Triton and I spent time looking through shipwrecks for the diamonds. Dad supplied the metal and Tyson put it together under the guidance of Amphitrite. She was very helpful in designing the ring with me," Percy admitted with a smile.

"You created this with your family?" Annabeth asked in disbelief as she continued to stare at the ring.

"I wanted something special for you," he whispered as he kissed her on the lips.

"It's perfect," she whispered as they broke a part.
