Author's Note:

Hello everyone! Here is the next chapter of Earth's Mightiest Huntsmen! But first, let's answer some reviews!

Shadowtalon2024: I'm definitely excited for Bucky here. He's not going to be easy to beat.

SuperSaiyanFever: Right? But then again, more carnage means more fun for me!

Ironchef13: Perhaps it will. Or perhaps I'm saving the more traumatizing flashbacks for her for another story arc.

Note: There's certainly a chance, if they figure out who the Winter Soldier is and realize his connection to Cap.

DarthK9: I think I did mention Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch a long time ago, so they are around. They just haven't appeared yet. As for Magneto, he's currently MIA after Mesmero's takeover of the Brotherhood. Who knows when he'll show up again. As for Magik...well, I'll hold off on what happened to Magik for the moment. A RWBY/Marvel fighting game would be pretty fun I think. Like I said, I think RWBY's tone works a little better with Marvel than it does with DC simply due to the lightheartedness that is balanced with some darkness, especially in the later seasons. As for the Celestials...that's a complicated answer. I have some rough ideas for potential Celestial involvement, but I have definitively decided on anything yet. Oh, and the other Norse Realms? Never say never. While I don't have any plans for them at the moment, there's always a chance that they could be visited further down the road.

Convoy914: It's all good. You don't need to apologize. You're certainly entitled to your own opinions. I will say this much: when I judge the writing in the later seasons of RWBY, I don't judge it by whether or not I think it's what Monty would've wanted. Because I don't know what he wanted. I didn't know the guy. I didn't even know this show existed until Vol 7. I judge it based on what I see and whether I think it's good writing regardless of who's writing it. What I've seen hasn't personally impressed me, and I've certainly criticized multiple things about it, especially when it comes to certain characters. But that's just me. If you like the later seasons, that's perfectly fine. And don't worry, I haven't really killed off any named characters on Remnant. I'm certainly not killing off bigger names off screen. If I've killed off anyone, it's probably going to be really minor named characters, like a few of the tournament contestants that we see throughout Vol 3.

THENDISHERE1945: Well, that depends. If you're planning on writing a story with the RWBY characters in WWII on Earth, I'm not sure how well that would work out. But if you're interested in combining that with WWII Marvel superheroes, I'd recommend looking into the Invaders, which was a WWII superhero team that featured the likes of Captain America and Namor the Sub-Mariner.

Red Scorpion: Magneto is definitely one of the more complicated villains, and I hope that when he does show up, I portray him right. Of course Hydra has spies in S.H.I.E.L.D. Not really to the extent that they've been in things like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but there are still enough to access some information like that. As for the star on Bucky's arm, it is there. I just didn't mention it.

Thank you all for your continued support. Now, let's get back to the action.

Hydra airship—En Route to Secret Base—November 28th

From where she was strapped in, Blake could only watch as Wolfsbane was carried in and strapped into the seat next to her by a man with a metal arm. He nodded to X-23, who then pulled a pair of metal collars out from the side and placed one around Wolfsbane's neck. A red light instantly lit up on the collar, indicating it was turned on.

She then moved over to Blake and placed an identical collar around her neck. Blake felt chills running down her body as the device was fastened around her. Already, she could start to feel the panic setting in. The past trauma inflicted on her by the Badoon bubbling back to the surface again.

"Stay focused," she mentally scolded herself. "If you panic, you're never going to get a chance to escape."

X-23 then pulled a remote out and pressed it. The device on Blake's forehead instantly fell off. She let out a ragged gasp as movement finally returned to her body. She looked back up at the girl, who stared coldly back down at her before moving to the side of the ship and leaning against it, folding her arms and looking down.

The ship lurched away as a man with long hair and sunglasses entered. He stared at both Blake and Wolfsbane. "This was all you were able to capture?" he asked.

"Resistance was stronger than anticipated," the man with the metal arm grunted.

"And where is the primary target?"

"One of the mutants managed to escape with her," X-23 explained.

He turned his gaze to her. "Is that so?"

"Blame this idiot!" X-23 pointed an accusing finger at the Hydra soldier that had helped carry Blake in. "He wouldn't let me go after her."

"The Winter Soldier had signaled for extraction, Gorgon" the soldier argued. "There was no time to go hunting for her."

"The primary target was the whole point!" X-23 snapped back at her.

"Oh, go to hell, mutant scum."

X-23 popped her claws out. "Why don't I cut out your tongue, you little—"

"Enough." Gorgon slowly approached the Hydra soldier. "Soldier, our goal was to capture the one known as the Red Ranger. And you couldn't even do that."

"Gorgon—" the soldier started.

"Hydra does not tolerate failure," Gorgon interrupted. With his back to the other occupants of the ship, he reached up to his face. "And you are far more expendable then my top operatives."

"What. No, wait!" The Hydra soldier's voice took on a terrified tone. "Please, no!"

Gorgon removed his sunglasses. The Hydra soldier screamed as a crackling sound occurred. Blake's eyes widened and her ears flattened in horror as the soldier was transformed into stone.

Gorgon slipped his sunglasses back on and pushed the statue over, where it shattered on the floor. "And as for you, X-23," he said, turning to face her. "I'm very disappointed with your performance today. Perhaps you still have a few conflicting loyalties despite your sessions with Kraken and Doctor Faustus."

X-23 growled slightly. "Don't question my loyalty to Hydra, Gorgon."

"X-23...take a deep breath. Calm your mind. You know what is best. What is best is you comply. Compliance will be rewarded." As Blake watched, X-23's posture became less threatening and more relaxed.

"Some sort of brainwashing," she thought. "That mantra must activate or enhance it." With a chill, she realized just what kind of fate awaited her and Wolfsbane if they didn't find a way out of their current situation. And after seeing how traumatized Ruby had been after her experienced being brainwashed by Mesmero, it was something that she did not want to go through herself. She was already traumatized enough after her time with the Badoon. Anything more would absolutely destroy her.

"You see it now, don't you, Miss Belladonna?" Blake startled when she realized Gorgon was addressing her. "Yes. We know who you are. We've seen your S.H.I.E.L.D. file." He gave her a sinister smile. "And I suggest you don't think about escaping. That collar you are wearing is currently negating your powers."

Blake tilted her head and instantly tried to activate her Semblance. Nothing happened. "Yes. We know exactly how to disrupt your powers. And while our scientists are...troubled by how resilient your auras are to disruption, we are confident that we will figure that out eventually."

"So they still don't know how to counter our auras," Blake thought. "But these collars disrupt our Semblances." That was certainly an interesting development. Semblances were generally tied to auras. To disrupt one without disrupting the other was...odd.

But Blake couldn't think about that right now. She had to focus on finding a way to escape. Which she knew had to be soon. Because she knew that if they reached whatever base that they were going to, there was no way that she would be able to get out without her friends coming to her rescue.

The Canadian Wilderness—November 28th

"What do you mean it's your fault?" Ruby asked after a moment to process what Logan had said.

Logan let out a growl. "It was a few years ago," he admitted. "I had gotten word from Rogers that someone had taken over the old Weapon X facility that had messed with me. I went in alone to make sure the facility was shut down for good."

"Weapon X?" Weiss repeated.

"The program that grafted adamantium to my body," he explained.

"You didn't think he was born with metal claws, did you?" Sunspot asked.

"Anyway," Logan growled, steering the conversation back on topic. "When I stormed the base, I expected there to be prisoners like me that they would subject to the Weapon X program. What I found instead was...nothing I ever could've predicted."

"What did you find?" Yang asked.

Logan stared her dead in the eyes. "A girl," he admitted. "A girl with my DNA."

"What does that mean?" Jaune asked.

"It means that she was a clone," Dani explained. "Right, Logan?"

Logan nodded. "Yeah...she was."

"How is she a clone?" Weiss asked.

"I don't know much," Logan admitted. "But from the files I recovered that I could make sense of, these people made multiple attempts to make a pure clone of me. They failed twenty-two times. On the twenty-third attempt, they decided to make a female clone of me. They called her X-23, and she was engineered to be just like me: a killer."

"What happened to her?" Ruby asked.

Logan growled slightly. "Our escape was interrupted. Our escape vehicle was destroyed. We were forced to go on the run through the woods. I tried to teach her what I could, but...in the end we were captured. Tortured. I managed to escape, but Laura...she wanted revenge. She wanted to end the threat once and for all. I tried to stop her, but...we were separated. She made it onto the escaping ship with the people that made her. The ship...exploded. I searched for days for her...but she was gone. There wasn't even a scent trail to follow."

Ruby stared at Logan. He looked...sad. She could see that the weight of what had happened. If this was just one part of his past and it affected him so much, what other horrors had he seen? And how was he still going strong after all that.

"It's not your fault, Logan," Pyrrha told him. "There was no way you could've known Hydra got her."

"How did Hydra capture her though?" Armor wondered.

"If I had to guess," Weiss spoke up, thinking about it for a moment. "This organization that made Laura in the first place may have had ties to Hydra. When the ship blew up, she must have survived—only to be recaptured by another group sent to help others escape."

"Who cares what happened back then?" Dani asked. "What we need to focus on is finding our friends!"

"Dani's right," Yang agreed. "Those guys took Blake and Rahne. We need to find them and save them."

"What could they want with them?" Cannonball wondered.

"From what Gorgon seemed to indicate, Hydra's going to be trying to brainwash them like what they did to Laura," Logan answered. He then turned to Ruby. "And they want you most of all?"

"Me?" Ruby asked. "Why me?"

"Because of what you did to the Grimm in New York," Logan told her. "Hydra, of course, wants that power for themselves."

"What kind of power are we talking about?" Magma asked.

"Only the power to completely vaporize Grimm or turn them to stone!" Nora answered. "It was amazing to see!"

"You weren't down in the sewers when that happened, Nora," Jaune reminded her.

"Yeah, but the aftermath was still amazing to see."

"The point is that we need to find them," Logan concluded. "And find them soon."

"How are we supposed to do that?" Weiss asked. "I already tried Blake's tracker. It's not working."

"Uh...I think I might know where they're going," Ruby spoke up.

"How do you know that?" Dani asked.

"I couldn't move with that device on me, but I could still see and hear everything," Ruby explained. "Laura mentioned something about a base in Antarctica."

"Antarctica?" Karma repeated. "Why would there be a base down there?"

Logan's eyes narrowed in realization. "There's only one place they could be down there. A place no one would think to look."

"Where?" Dani asked.

Logan's fists clenched. "They're going to the Savage Land."

Hydra Airship—En Route to Secret Base—November 28th.

Blake's attention was drawn to her side when Wolfsbane began to stir. With a moan, her eyes flickered open. "What..." she started.

"Quiet," Blake told her quietly. She glanced around. The back of the airship was empty aside from the two of them and X-23, who was sitting at the far end, eyes closed and seemingly asleep. "We're on a Hydra ship on our way to a Hydra base."

Wolfsbane then realized that she had a collar around her neck. She tried to move her hands up to pull at it, but her arms were stuck by the straps keeping her in the chair. "Don't," Blake warned. "Something tells me that they're not going to come off that easily."

Wolfsbane let out a small huff in annoyance. "How are we going to get out of this?"

"I'm working on that." Blake took another look around the back of the ship, her eyes eventually landing on the back hatch to the airship.

"It's a long drop down," Wolfsbane warned, instantly seeing what Blake was planning.

"We don't know what kind of base we're being taken to," Blake told her. "It may be impossible to escape from it. And if we remain captive, they're going to try to brainwash us. Just like they did with her." She nodded in X-23's direction. The girl didn't move, remaining seemingly asleep.

"Professor Xavier's been helping us improve our mental defenses," Wolfsbane told her. "Let them try to brainwash me."

"Do you really want to take that chance?"

Wolfsbane tilted her head. "I suppose not."

Blake twisted her hands around slightly. Fortunately, X-23 had neglected to take clawed gloves. While they weren't very big, they were still sharp. Slowly, began to saw away at the straps keeping her in the seat, all the while keeping her eyes on X-23. She knew that if she woke up and saw what she was doing, it would be all over.

The Canadian Wilderness—November 28th

"Noooo! Our Quinjet!" Nora exclaimed when they returned to the clearing they had started in and saw that the Quinjet that the Remnantians had arrived in was nothing more than a smoldering wreck of twisted metal on the ground.

"I'm sure Stark will get you a new one when this is all over," Logan told her bluntly. "Just get on the Blackbird."

Beast stood on the landing ramp of the X-Jet. "Did you find where the children are being taken to?" he asked.

"Best guess? The Savage Land," Logan responded.

Beast's eyes widened slightly. "Oh my stars and garters. That's not good."

"Now that we're back at the jet, are you going to tell us what the Savage Land is?" Weiss asked.

Logan grunted, glancing at Beast. "To be perfectly honest," Beast admitted. "Much about the Savage Land remains a mystery, even to us. What we do know is that it is a land outside of time—a prehistoric land tucked away in the harshest of icy environments."

"And in English?" Yang asked.

Dani rolled her eyes. "It's a land filled with dinosaurs."

"What's a dinosaur?" Jaune asked.

"Giant lizard that can eat you for breakfast," Sunspot explained.

"And Hydra's got a base down there?" Weiss asked. "Are they crazy or what?"

"It's not a terrible idea," Logan admitted. "No one can really get good readings of that area, and Hydra would easily have enough firepower to keep the creatures and the locals at bay." He looked at Beast again. "We're going to have to contact Ka-Zar."

"I will try to reach him on our way back to the mansion to drop off the children," Beast responded.

"Wait, what?" Yang asked.

Logan turned back to the group. "I aint taking you kids to a place like the Savage Land. We'll drop you off at the mansion and pick up the rest of the X-Men. We'll get Blake and Rahne back."

"We're not just going to sit back and wait while our friends are being tortured!" Cannonball exclaimed.

"Sam's right," Dani agreed. "Those are our friends there. We're not just going to sit on the sidelines."

"The Savage Land aint a place for kids," Logan growled. "The last time the X-Men went there, we almost died."

"And that's supposed to scare us?" Sunspot asked.

"You can't force us to stay behind," Ruby told him. "We're not leaving our friend behind."

"Don't you get it?!" Logan snapped. "People die in the Savage Land! If Hydra is there, they'll have dug in immensely! I'm not letting you risk your lives for this!"

"The X-Men face death every day," Armor responded. "You've been training us to become X-Men. If we back down just because of this, then what the hell has all our training been for?"

"And don't forget," Cannonball added, looking down slightly as if remembering something painful. "We've dealt with death before."

"And we've been training all our lives to fight monsters," Nora spoke up. "Those dinosaurs aren't going to stand a chance against us."

"We're coming with you, Logan," Ruby concluded. "You can't stop us. We're going to save our friend."

"Besides," Yang added, cracking a grin and slamming a fist into her palm. "I want a rematch with that guy with the metal arm."

"You're lucky to have survived fighting him," Logan warned her. "Based on your descriptions, that was probably the Winter Solider, one of the top assassins in the world. No one knows who he is exactly, but one thing's for sure: he's had some serious training. Which is another good reason why—"

Beast put a hand on his shoulder. "Let them come, Logan."

Logan growled at him. "That's not a good idea, Hank."

"Perhaps not. But I believe they are ready for something like this. And it is their friends that are captive, after all. And the two of us will be with them the entire time."

Logan looked around at everyone. Not one of the teens seemed willing to back down. He let out a snarl of frustration. "Fine. But under one condition: you do exactly what I say. If I decide that you need to pull out for your own safety, then you do it. I aint going to watch you kids die on this mission. Do you understand?"

The group looked at each other and slowly nodded in agreement. "Good," Logan told them all. "Now get on the plane."

"It's going to be a tight fit," Dani warned.

"We're just going to have to deal with it," Jaune replied. "Come on—Blake and Rahne need us."

Hydra Airship—En Route to Secret Base—November 28th

Blake felt the ship begin to descend and realized that they must be getting close to the Hydra base. "Well...it's now or never," she thought. She used her claws to finish cutting through her straps and quietly crept to her feet. She then moved to Wolfsbane and quickly cut through her straps as well.

"How far down do you think the drop is?" Wolfsbane asked her.

"We're about to find out." Blake took another cautious look at X-23, who was still seemingly sleeping in her seat. Cautiously, she made her way to the back hatch and looked around for a way to open it. Wolfsbane moved to stand behind her.

Her eyes rested upon a button next to the hatch. "I think this is it," she whispered. "Once I push this, they'll know we're free. We're going to have to jump fast. Are you ready?"

Wolfsbane nodded. "Do it."

Blake reached for the button, but the airship suddenly lurched as something big seemed to crash against it, throwing her off balance and into the side of the wall. This also threw X-23 out of her seat and onto the floor. She growled, getting to her feet, but froze when her eyes landed on Blake and Wolfsbane.

"Uh oh," Wolfsbane said aloud. Blake quickly hit the button, causing alarms to start blaring even as X-23 lunged straight at the two of them.

But the hatch was lowering. "Jump!" Blake yelled, jumping backwards as X-23 tried to swipe at them. Her claws missed her by mere inches as she was swept away by the air currents. As her body twisted around, she caught sight of X-23, claws dug into the cloaked airship as it flew away, straight into a hanger within a large metal fortress. "We jumped just in time," she thought.

Her journey falling down didn't last nearly as long as she expected. Within a few seconds, she slammed into the top of a tree branch, tumbling off it and slamming into several more trees, yelping at each impact. Her aura took each impact, shielding her from the brunt of the damage, before she landed in a heap on the ground. Wolfsbane took a much slower descent, managing to grab onto a tree branch and swing around it, scaling down the trees before landing on the ground next to Blake. "You okay?" she asked her.

Blake slowly gave her a thumbs up. "I'll live." She crawled to her feet, quickly observing their surroundings before frowning. They were in a strange sort of jungle, with lush plants and trees surrounding them, the kinds of which Blake had never seen before. "What is this place?" she asked.

"Right now, I don't care," Wolfsbane responded. "They're going to be looking for us, and I'd rather not stick around here waiting to be caught again."

Blake nodded in agreement. "Right. Let's put some distance between them and us."

The two started off into the dense overgrowth, pushing through large plant leaves and past tall trees. But Blake still remained uneasy. Her ears were already picking up sounds of multiple creatures all around them. And from the sound of them, they were quite large...and hungry.

The X-Jet—En route to the Savage Land—November 28th

"You're really bringing the kids to the Savage Land?" Scott Summers, better known as the hero Cyclops, crossed his arms on the video screen. "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"I know it's not a good idea," Logan admitted. "But the kids made some good points. Besides, we all know how resourceful they are. They'd find a way to get there anyway."

"And you're sure you can handle it?"

"As long as they stay away from Gorgon. Though, it would be nice if we could get some some backup. You think you could spare Storm or Rogue?"

"Sorry Logan. They're out right now. Mystique was sighted at Grand Central Station earlier today. With any luck, they'll be able to track her down and lock her up."

"One less problem to deal with," Logan muttered. Mystique was the last of the Brotherhood still at large after Mesmero's big takeover a month ago, and he would be much happier if the shapeshifter was behind bars along with the rest of them.

"Keep me posted, Logan," Cyclops told him. "And make sure the kids don't take unnecessary risks."

"I know what I'm doing, Summers," Logan growled. "I'll let you know when we're done."

"And how long will that take?"

Logan's eyes narrowed. "As long as it takes." He pressed a button on the console, ending the transmission.

Beast studied him for a minute. "You don't think we should be taking the kids on this mission," he guessed.

"Of course I don't, Hank," Logan responded gruffly. "You know as well as I do that the Savage Land aint a place for a pleasure cruise. Especially now that we know Hydra's there. We don't know what we're walking into here."

Hank looked over to Logan and reached a hand out to him, gripping his shoulder tightly. "You won't repeat the mistakes you made in your past, my friend. As the famous historian—"

"Save the speeches, Hank," Logan interrupted. "I aint planning on losing anyone else. Not this time."

"And...what will you do when you face Laura?"

Logan narrowed his eyes, staring out at the sky as they flew south. "I aint going to leave her. Not this time."

The Savage Land—November 28th

Blake led the way through the overgrowth, her ears perked up at every little sound around her and and Wolfsbane. Anything in the area could indicate that they were being pursued by whatever lived in this strange land—or worse, Hydra. Especially X-23. If Blake was right and she did have some sort of tie to Logan, then she probably had enhanced senses like him. Meaning that if anyone could track her and Wolfsbane down, it would be her.

She shook her head slightly, pushing forward. She couldn't worry about that right now. All she could focus on right now was moving forward. Their only objective right now was to stay moving to avoid capture. With any luck, Ruby had been found and had gotten that device off her head so she could tell the others where they were.

As she walked, Blake had to admit that, despite the immense danger that she and Wolfsbane were in right now, the place they were in was...pretty. It was a jungle untouched by humans. There was no sign of any modern civilization anywhere other than the fortress that Hydra had taken over. It was...surprisingly peaceful. Remnant certainly didn't have anything like what she had seen here.

"How long do you think before our friends come for us?" Wolfsbane asked.

"If they found Ruby and she told them where they were taking us, not long," Blake guessed. "They're probably already on their way here. We just have to keep moving and hope we can avoid X-23 and the rest of Hydra until they get here."

"Not to mention whatever's out here," Wolfsbane added.

"Yes. That too." Blake knew that if they were attacked, they would be at a distinct disadvantage. Neither one of them had their powers thanks to the collars, and Blake's only weapons were her clawed gloves. If X-23 caught up to them, they would stand very little chance of fighting her off.

The trees suddenly parted and Blake found herself in a rocky looking valley. Several geysers littered the entire area, faint wisps of steam emanating from them. The entire area felt hot and humid, which did nothing to relax Blake. She felt like someone...or something...was watching them.

Her fingers curled up slightly as she tensed up while walking along the side of one of the geysers. Every bone in her body was screaming at her that something was about to happen. Something bad.

"You feel it too, don't you?" Wolfsbane guessed.

Blake nodded. "I think we're about to have company."

The ground began to shake. It started with a few small tremors, but the shaking soon got more and more violent. Nearby, Blake could see birds flying away as something massive made its way through the trees before emerging from the jungle nearby.

It was a massive, lizard-like creature that towered over both Blake and Wolfsbane with ease. It stood on two massive legs, glaring down at both of them with razor sharp teeth and beady eyes.

Wolfsbane let out a loud cursing backing away slowly. "A T-Rex."

"A what?" Blake asked, also slowly backing up.

"Giant man-eating dinosaur."

"That doesn't really clear things up."

"In short—we're screwed."

Blake's ears flattened as the dinosaur roared again, charging straight at them. The two girls jumped to the side. Upon landing, Blake turned around and slashed at the dinosaur's leg. But, to her horror, her claws barely drew any blood. The creature was clearly both tough and strong.

The dinosaur lunged again at Wolfsbane, who jumped back again only to find that she was pinned against one of the geysers. Cursing again, she ran around the side, but the dinosaur was in hot pursuit.

"Rahne!" Blake yelled, moving in as the dinosaur tried to ram its head straight into her. She darted in, taking the impact for her. This sent her flying back into the side of another geyser. She yelped in pain as her aura flashed weakly. It still hadn't fully recovered from the fight in the woods earlier, and the dinosaur hit like a freight train.

It was zeroing in on her now. It had sensed her momentary daze and was closing in for the kill. But that was when a stone hit the dinosaur right next to its eye. It stopped short and turned its head around, as did Blake.

A man was standing next to another geyser, already winding his arm back for another throw. He had a shock of white hair and was wearing a tattered red uniform with a purple cape. Like Blake and Wolfsbane, he too was wearing a collar. "Here, you overgrown lizard!" he bellowed. "Come and get me!"

The dinosaur let out a roar and ran towards the man, who instantly ran around the geyser he was at. Despite his apparent age, he seemed relatively spry.

Blake struggled to her feet and ran to Wolfsbane's side. She was staring at the man, shock in her face. "We have to help him!" she told her.

"Are you crazy?!" Rahne exclaimed. "Don't you know who that is?!"

The man was coming around the side again, pointing at the geyser behind the two girls. "Get behind it!" he ordered.

"Come on!" Blake yelled, taking Wolfsbane's hand and starting to pull her along.

"But Blake, that's—" Wolfsbane's protests were cut off as the dinosaur let out another roar due to the man throwing another rock at its face. The two of them moved behind the geyser, quickly joined by the man, who threw another rock at the beast to get its attention.

"Isn't that thing already angry enough?!" Blake yelled at him.

The man's eyes narrowed coldly. "I don't want it to leave."

The dinosaur apparently had had enough of chasing its prey around. It leaned its head over the geyser, ready to snap at the three of them. However, before it could, a large jet of hot water erupted from the geyser, engulfing its head instantly. The creature let out a roar of pain, stumbling back, steam now coming off its head. With another roar, it turned around and stumbled away.

Blake breathed a sigh of relief before turning to the man. "Thank you."

The man nodded slightly. But before he could say anything, Wolfsbane got between the two of them. "What are you doing here?" she growled.

"Miss Sinclair, I believe I just saved your life," the man answered calmly. "A little gratitude would be appreciated."

"Gratitude?! After everything you've done?!"

"Hold on a minute," Blake interrupted. "Who exactly is this?"

The man tilted his head slightly. "I should think any new recruit of the X-Men would know who I am."

"I'm not a recruit for the X-Men," Blake responded.

"Then I believe introductions are in order." The man held out a hand to her. "You can call me Magneto."

Magneto has entered the chat. Nuff said.

You could probably imagine my line of thinking as I saw multiple reviews asking about Magneto, knowing full well that he was showing up at the end of this chapter. But he's here. He's finally here, and I couldn't be more excited. Especially given where he is, who he's with now, and who they're fighting. I know I've said several times at this point how I was looking forward to the interactions between Blake and Magneto, and now I finally get that chance.

As for the story of Wolverine and X-23, I know I only touched on it briefly here, but I do believe I'm planning on including some flashbacks to that time later on, probably during a confrontation scene between the two. Because you know I'm going to have Wolverine fighting X-23 eventually this arc.

Savage Land incoming! You can probably already imagine what kind of chaos and destruction will come when the New Mutants and the RWBY characters show up there. I have a few ideas for sure, but I'm definitely going to have to reflect on them for a little bit before making any decisions that way.

But anywho, that's all from me right now. Until next time, this is Guest 1138, signing off.
