Fiona was slightly embarrassed by the question. She quickly tried to come up with an answer that wouldn't reveal the whole truth.

Fiona: Well, Matthew Dustin is my dad's boss because my dad… works as a sound engineer on the Captain Blasteroid series, which Kyle's dad produces. That's how I know Kyle.

Coop's eyes lit up, and he looked at Fiona with slight suspicion.

Coop: But isn't one of your relatives the one who plays Captain Blasteroid in the show?

Fiona visibly hesitated at Coop's question but tried to answer calmly.

Fiona: Yeah, well… he's a distant relative. I barely know him.

Coop hesitated for a moment but decided not to press further.

Coop: Well, that's quite a coincidence. Kyle's dad being your dad's boss. I guess that explains how you two know each other.

Fiona nodded, but inside, she felt uneasy. Even if Coop wasn't suspicious, she knew the truth was different, but she wasn't ready to tell him yet.

Fiona: There's still a lot you don't know about me, Coop.

Coop: Like what?

He looked at her in surprise, trying to figure out what was going through her mind.

Fiona: Like.. I'm not very popular at my school back home.

Coop (surprised): Really? I thought everyone liked you. At least, everyone here enjoys hanging out with you.

Fiona: You know, my classmates are pretty picky. If you're not wearing the latest Beverly & Vance clothes, they don't really take you seriously.

Coop: Beverly & Vance? What's that?

Fiona quickly realized she had slipped up, accidentally revealing that many students at her school wore those clothes—even though uniforms were mandatory there.

Fiona: Oh, nothing special. Just a clothing brand. The kind everyone wears if they want to be cool. But mostly, it's because I play soccer—even though I'm a girl. A lot of people think I shouldn't be doing something so boyish. But the guys don't really befriend me either.

Coop was even more surprised by that. Back home, even the boys didn't approach Fiona Munson? How was that possible? Fiona was one of the coolest people he knew! She was fast, strong, and skilled—she could skateboard, play soccer, and even fight if she had to. She always seemed confident, relaxed, and natural, even if she was a little stubborn at times. Everyone in Bootsville enjoyed hanging out with her, and Coop couldn't deny that he did too Here's the translation:

He was always happy when Fiona was around. But then why was it so different back at her school?

Coop: How's that? You're cool, you play soccer, skateboard, and you're good at martial arts too.

Fiona shrugged and tried to come up with an acceptable explanation.

Fiona: Because the boys at my school can't stand it when a girl is better than them at soccer. You know, sometimes I completely dominate someone in a match, and then they don't really want to hang out with me.

Coop: That's pretty childish of them. Personally, I'm motivated if someone's better than me at something, it doesn't scare me off.

Fiona: Well, I guess that makes you a rare specimen, Burtonburger.

Coop (grinning): Yeah, I've been told that before.

Fiona smiled. Coop really was different from most of the guys she knew. At home, her classmates seemed perfect on the outside, but inside… they were empty, like everything was about appearances. Who wears the most expensive clothes? Who goes to the coolest places? Whose dad is more famous or influential?

For Fiona, all of that was foreign. Not that they didn't have money, but she didn't want to blend into that world. She wanted to skateboard, play soccer, and live by her own rules. She followed the Captain Blasteroid series too, she liked it, but she hated that her classmates only wanted to hang out with her because of it. They didn't want to get to know her, they wanted to meet Captain Blasteroid's daughter, and no one cared about the real Fiona.

And then came Coop. The boy didn't know anything about her dad, and didn't care who she could be the daughter of. He got to know her. To Coop, she was just an honest guy, not interested in the ridiculous status battles of the rich. He didn't pretend, didn't try to be more than he was, he was just Coop. A guy who worked hard at whatever he did, who was sometimes overly enthusiastic, but kind-hearted. That's what made him different, and that's why she wasn't ready to tell him the truth yet. She still wanted to enjoy the fact that someone liked her for who she was, not as the daughter of an actress playing a superhero. But there wasn't much time to think about that, because the next obstacle was already looming ahead: the city fountain.

Finally, the team reached the end of the street, where the next stage, the park's fountain, awaited them. Coop and the others were satisfied, realizing they'd overcome the first challenge successfully, and now they just had to focus on the next one.

The water shimmered in the moonlight, and they had to jump over it. Coop concentrated, the rollers beneath their skateboards humming on the asphalt, and he was preparing to take off. Fiona glided past him, and Kyle was a little ahead. Dennis, standing on the edge of the track, was watching his friends excitedly.

But then Fiona noticed something strange: Mr. Kat had stealthily moved forward along the edge of the park, as if he was planning something.

Just as Coop was about to push off toward the fountain, Mr. Kat sprang into action. With a subtle swipe of his claws, he tampered with the fountain's controls, and suddenly, the water multiplied. A massive column of water shot up, spraying powerfully into the air just as Coop and the others were preparing to jump. Coop's eyes widened in shock, the once calm fountain now wildly spraying water, right toward him and the others.

Fiona spotted the change at the last second and yanked her skateboard sideways to avoid the flood of water. Kyle managed to clear the jump just in time, but Coop didn't.

The huge water jet slammed into the ground next to him, and the splashing water made Coop's skateboard wheels skid.

Coop: AAAH! This isn't fair!

His momentum stalled, and he felt his balance tipping. For a moment, it seemed like he was going to crash into the cold water, but at the last second, he managed to brace himself with his foot and, with a forced sideways leap, soaked through, but still made it to the other side.

Dennis: I knew Mr. Kat was up to something sneaky.

Fiona quickly caught up to Coop as he tried to regain his balance after landing.

Fiona: That cat's seriously lost it! He almost pushed me into the fountain!

Coop angrily glanced back and saw Mr. Kat standing on the park's edge, watching him with an evil grin.

Coop: I know you did that on purpose, you evil space rat!

Mr. Kat just briefly puffed out his chest in satisfaction before pretending to innocently clean his paw. Meanwhile, Kyle was gliding down the track, but before continuing, he couldn't help but comment on Coop's misfortune.

Kyle: What's up, Burtonburger? Can't handle water obstacles? Maybe I should bring you a floatie?" he mocked as he casually rolled away.

Before Coop could respond, an all-too-familiar irritating voice echoed from the other side.

Millie: Haha! Coop, you look like a drowned dog. Or no... more like a little driftwood the river's thrown out."

Coop flinched, Millie's teasing hitting him harder than usual.

Millie: Maybe you should give up on the competition and go home for some warm milk. Or you could ask Fiona to push you through the course, since you can't do it alone.

Fiona's face darkened. Millie wasn't just trying to embarrass Coop; she was dragging her into it as well.

Fiona: You know, Millie, the one who couldn't finish the course on their own here is you! I bet Mr. Kat will drag you through the course like a little stuffed animal.

Millie snorted indignantly.

Millie: Mr. Kat is the world's best skateboarding cat, and nothing proves it better than the fact that he once won a skateboarding contest!

Coop took a deep breath, trying to ignore his sister's mocking.

Coop: Nice try, Millie, but I'm not giving up. If anyone's going to lose here, it'll be you, Kyle, and his other little minions!

Then Coop pushed off, determined to catch up. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that Millie was getting ready for the jump.

Coop (in his thoughts): Now this is going to be interesting.

Coop expected Millie to crash into the fountain or for Mr. Kat to have to rescue her, but that wasn't what happened. Millie soared into the air with perfect form, gliding effortlessly toward the fountain as if she had been doing this her whole life. Coop watched in stunned silence as his sister landed gracefully, even giving her board a little extra flick in mid-air as though to show off that it was nothing for her.

For a moment, Coop forgot to keep moving.

He had always known his sister was stubborn and annoying, but he never thought she was this good at skateboarding.

Coop: Maybe I do underestimate her sometimes.
