BurstEvolution9000: Thanks. Also, it's Hackmon. Hawkmon is a completely different Digimon. For your question, I won't spoil anything, so you just have to wait and see.

The next day

UA Infirmary

"Young Midoriya! I'm so sorry!!"

Izuku yelps as Toshinori pulls him into a hug, comically crying a fountain worth of tears as Hackmon moves away from getting hit. Inko can't help but giggle at the scene while Recovery Girl rolls her eyes lightheartedly. Himiko watches with an amused smile and Eri watches curiously while hugging the Nedzu plush Izuku gave to her back then.

"I'm okay, Yagi-sensei! Please, calm down!" Izuku says as he tries to push Yagi away so he won't get soaked by tears. He wonders how in the world Yagi got infected by Midoriya's fountain tears.

"I'm an idiot! A good-for-nothing fool!" Yagi exclaims while sobbing.

"Stop with the self-deprecating!!!" Izuku exclaims, causing Inko to burst into fits of giggles from the sheer irony. "Mom, so not helping!"

After doing everything he can to stop Yagi from crying, the situation finally calms down. Well, as calm as having Yagi bowing down on the ground toward Inko while profusely apologizing to her, which leads her to stop him from doing so. After finally calming down for real, Izuku, Inko, Yagi, Hackmon, and Recovery Girl can be seen together, with Himiko and Eri leaving the infirmary for the first time and exploring UA.

"….So….One For All stockpiles the former user's quirks." Izuku decided to cut the chase and drop the bombshell, making everyone look at him in surprise. "And the one that I unlock is Second's quirk, Gearshift. It allows me to manipulate the speed of anything I touch, including myself, while ignoring the law of inertia. And if I use it on myself, I have a limited time to use it before my body is incapacitated due to lack of oxygen in my body."

They all look at him in silence before Recovery Girl decides to grab her giant syringe and smack his head. To make matters worse, since Recovery Girl is now younger, her strength is much greater than before.

"Owww!" Izuku yelps in pain.

"That's for stupidly using a quirk without proper supervision!" Recovery Girl exclaims with a huff.

"Okay…I deserve that…" Izuku mutters while rubbing his head.

"Izuku…" Inko says while holding Izuku's hand. "Please don't use an unknown quirk recklessly. Y-you could've died…"

Izuku winces before guilt overtakes him. He merely nods at her, before he feels a nudge from his side and turns to see Hackmon looking at him. Izuku let out a sigh before pulling him into a hug.

"I'm sorry…." Izuku says. "I….wasn't thinking properly…all I could think is to save them…"

"I know, Izuku," Inko says. "You have always been like that, but please…take care of yourself as well…"

"I know, mom. I'm sorry….my only excuse is that I wasn't in my right mind…" Izuku says as Inko let out a sigh. Izuku bit the lower part of his lips, unsure what else to say.

"I….know being a hero is dangerous…" Inko says as she looks at Izuku. "I know you will be in constant danger, but please….try to keep yourself safe…."

"I….I will, Mom." Izuku says softly as they lean on each other's forehead. Toshinori can't help but feel warmhearted by the scene and at the same time, a little bit of melancholy. Recovery Girl sighs softly as she watches the heartwarming scene.

After that, they return to the conversation regarding the One For All. Recovery Girl suggests not using the quirk on his own body for the time being as she would rather not see him in such a condition, something Izuku agreed on. She then decided to ask about how is he covered in his own blood but showed no signs of wounds, which made her regret everything as Izuku explained that he used Gearshift to accelerate his natural healing process, earning him another whack on his head before begrudgingly said she'll keep an eye on him to avoid any disaster.

After that, he is completely dismissed from the infirmary as Toshinori offers him, Hackmon, and Inko to get something to eat. As they arrive at a restaurant, Izuku has to raise his eyebrow so many times as he watches Toshinori and his mom interact while eating their meals. After the meal, Izuku blatantly tries to ignore both his mom and Toshinori flirting with each other for the rest of the trip by talking quietly with Hackmon, but utterly fails.

As they reach the apartment, Izuku manages to get to be alone with Toshinori by pure luck. He looks at Toshinori who blatantly tries to avoid any eye contact with him, cold sweats pouring from his head like crazy.

"…..so, I'm pretty sure you and Mom only know each other's existence in like what? 3 days?" Izuku decided to ask.

"… Please, don't kill me," Toshinori says with a whimper.

"I'm more curious about how things escalated this fast," Izuku says in a deadpan manner.

"W-well, while you were helping Recovery Girl after the cafeteria incident, she invited me over to join her for dinner. And when I got there, we….had a talk and things just go from there." Toshinori says nervously.

"….I'm not mad if you're wondering," Izuku says as Toshinori lets out a sigh of relief, making Izuku sweatdrop. "Why are you even scared in the first place?"

"Young Midoriya, you face against Gran Torino with zero ounce of fear," Toshinori says in a deadpan manner. "Then, let's not forget I have zero idea what kind of past life you lived through and all those….creative insults you toss back right at Gran….I rather not test my luck…"

"I was nothing but a college student who is also an otaku…" Izuku says, giving him an incredulous look. "You're overreacting!" Izuku sees Hackmon let out a snicker and gives him a deadpan look. "Not helping buddy."

"Sorry, sorry…" Hackmon snorts before chuckling softly as Izuku lets out a sigh.

"…please bear this in mind, Mom had to deal with a husband having an affair with his boss' wife. If you plan to date her, don't break her heart," Izuku says as Toshinori coughs out blood.

"D-dating!? I have no idea what you're implying!" Toshinori exclaims while looking away.

"Oh, please. That horrible flirting that screams 'little-to-no-experience' shows you're interested." Izuku says in a deadpan manner, making Toshinori cough some more blood and look flustered. "I know because those cheesy lines are something I would say when I ever get a date."

"…..you too?" Toshinori asks.

"Yes," Izuku says with a twitching eye. For the second time, they felt a sense of kinship with each other (The first one is for being a former quirkless but wanting to be a hero). Hackmon awkwardly looked at his partner before patting his legs.

"Not helping, buddy. Not helping at all."

Later

Izuku's Room

Izuku can be seen sitting on the bed as he looks at his hands. He didn't notice it while staying in the infirmary, but now that he has taken a good look, his hands have more scars than before. When he first regained his memories, it was just light scars on the palm of his hand and some burn scars on the back of his hand. Now, he can see scratches all around his fingers and even his wrists.

'Quirks all have drawbacks….using a quirk like Gearshift has its fair share of consequences…' Izuku muses before flexing his fingers, blue aura emits out of his palm.

'You shouldn't have gotten that quirk that early…' Kudo stated. 'The raw power it has now thanks to One For All is too much for your body.'

'I guess that makes sense.' Izuku replied. 'By theory, ignoring the law of inertia could instantly kill people because our cells require it from falling apart. I…was lucky that didn't happen.'

'Very lucky, indeed…' Nana comments, and it is obvious that she is disappointed at Izuku.

'Sorry, sorry…' Izuku grumbles. He had already regretted his choice and seeing his mom's reaction didn't help to reduce the guilt. He doesn't need others to make him feel even more guilty. He then remembers something before rushing towards his "Analysis for the Past, Present, and Future #1" notebook, immediately writing down every important event that might occur in the future.

[USJ Incident – Barely Survived. Things got more complicated]

[U.A Sports Festival – Possible Unknown Factors, like characters from supposed other franchises (Miles and Lycaon are one of the proofs), changed events, etc]

[Stain Attack – Need him to get arrested. And how to prevent villains from mistaking Stain for working with LOV, cutting the number of allies they could recruit. Himiko is already out of the possible list. Twice and Spinner are the other targets.]

[Final Exam – My only hope is to not get Bakugou as my partner, but given Aizawa, I doubt it. Only choice: Wing the goddamn exam]

Izuku pauses before he slams his head and groans. His forgetfulness strikes again as he forgets that the movies are part of the canon, making things even more problematic. He grabs his phone and texts All Might.

[Izuku Midoriya]

Sensei, may I ask if u have a close friend whom u kept out of the loop bout OFA?

[Toshinori Yagi]

Ah, yes. David Shield and Melissa Shield

Y?

[Izuku Midoriya]

Have u consider 2 tell them?

[Toshinori Yagi]

It is better if they don't know

[Izuku Midoriya]

Hear me out, but u should tell em

[Toshinori Yagi]

Young Midoriya, u know y I keep it a secret

[Izuku Midoriya]

I know

But didn't u convince me that telling my mom about it is fine?

[Toshinori Yagi]

..

It's a different thing

[Izuku Midoriya]

How close r u with them?

[Toshinori Yagi]

I'm a godfather/uncle to Melissa Shield

[Izuku Midoriya]

So, how is it a different thing?

I told my mom, who's a part of my family, about it

n u just need to tell them, who's a part of your family.

[Toshinori Yagi]

..I hate your logical argument

[Izuku Midoriya]

uwu

[Toshinori Yagi]

That caught me off guard

Izuku let out a snort before placing down his phone and going back to look at his notes. He decided to put his phone away and continue to add more possible important events.

[Summer Camp Attack – Find a way to not get Bakugou kidnapped]

[Provisional License Exam – Like the UA Sports Festival, the possibility of unknown factors might ruin everything. Possible solution: Wing it]

[Work Study – AVOID SIR NIGHTEYE!]

[Shie Hassaikai Raid – Since Overhaul is captured, the rest of the members shouldn't be attacking recklessly (I hope).]

[School Festival – Need to stop Gentle and La Brava. So, making sure the class forgot their stuff and triggering canon]

'Geez, kid. You're sucks at planning.' Nana exclaims as Izuku lets out a groan before covering his face in annoyance.

'It's the main objective. I wrote them down first before I properly made the entire plan!' Izuku exclaims. 'Besides, plans sometimes go off the rail, so I need to think everything through.'

'It still sucks, though…' Banjo points out bluntly, causing Izuku to slam his head into the table.

'Give me a break, this is the first time I ever made a damn plan to deal with future threats!' Izuku retorts before noticing Hackmon approaching him. Izuku casually pulls his partner into a hug, grumbling about vestiges while Hackmon could do nothing but be confused by his partner.

The Next Day

Dagobah Municipal Beach Park

Musutafu, Japan

Izuku can be seen doing some stretches on top of the sand, wearing a sleeveless green shirt with loose gray pants, and a pair of weights on his wrists and ankles. He let out a sigh before cracking the joint on his neck.

During the talk he had with his friends when he was finally awake in the infirmary, Miles gave him the weights in the hope it could help with his training. While he may be grateful for Miles' help, he feels guilty for not returning the favor, making it feel like he's taking advantage.

'I guess in some way, I did…' Izuku let out a sigh before taking a stance and started jogging.

"Midori-bro!" Izuku yelps as he trips on the sand and crashes into the ground face-first. The weights on his arms and wrists made the fall even more painful. "Oh, god! I'm so sorry!"

"Gah!" Izuku gets up and turns around before widening his eyes in surprise as he sees Eijirou, of all people, calling him. "Eijirou!? What are you doing here?"

"W-well, I was here looking for you…" Eijirou says sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head. "I-I was hoping if I could spar with you,"

"Eh?" Izuku says, blinking owlishly. Of all things he expect, asking to train together by Eijirou of all people is not what he had in mind. Still, he can't help but be curious about its reasons. "I don't mind, but why do you ask me?"

"W-well, you are the strongest student in the class…" Eijirou says nervously. "A-and, you're my friend. I…have zero idea who I can ask for help for training….A-and, you are smart enough to help me with my quirk….I probably sound selfish, aren't I?"

"Nah," Izuku says while chuckling lightly. "I hear worse from someone who is far more selfish. And again, sure why not?"

"Cool!" Eijirou exclaims before taking a stance. Izuku took his weights off before he did the same. He immediately charges at Eijirou and follows up with a jab, but he blocks it with both of his hands. Izuku holds himself from flinching as he notices that Eijirou activates his quirk, before delivering a knee kick on his side. Eijirou takes a few steps back before delivering a punch, which Izuku dodges before swiping on his legs, knocking him down. Eijirou yelps as he falls into the sand Izuku follows up with an axe kick, but Eijirou blocks it again while using his quirk before getting up.

Eijirou can't help but frown at the fight, noticing that Izuku didn't use his quirk at all. His pride made him feel like he was insulted, thinking Izuku didn't take him seriously. Izuku notices the changes in Eijirou's expression, noticing that he might've unintentionally insulted him by not using his quirk. He may not be good at reading people's expressions, but Eijirou's expression shift is enough for Izuku to understand.

So, he decided to charge again, but this time, he used his Haki instead. He has been focusing on using OFA and Armament Haki at the same time, but he never tried to do it without it. Eijirou raises his hands once more as he watches Izuku try to go for a punch, but he doesn't prepare for what's coming.

As Izuku's fist made contact with him, he felt an overwhelming force hitting his arms. He yelped in pain as he got himself knocked back a few feet. He looks at his hand and widens his eyes as he sees a large bruise on his arm, shakily grasping it. What just happened? He was pretty sure he used his quirk earlier. Did his quirk fail? Or did Izuku just hold back before he goes serious?

Izuku goes for a kick, but this time, Eijirou instinctively dodges it out of shock and fear. His mind goes for a hundred miles per hour, wondering how he managed to do that. Is his quirk so powerful that he can break through his quirk? But why does it feel like his quirk not taking any effect? His arm is bruised instead of cracked, how does he do it?

As he is distracted, Izuku goes for an uppercut right at Eijirou's side. Eijirou tries to use his quirk again, but like earlier, he feels another overwhelming force hitting him, knocking him a few feet up in the air before collapsing, clutching his side in pain.

"Oh, god. Eijirou! I'm so sorry!" Izuku exclaims as he reaches Eijirou, but said boy raises his hand and shakily sits up, giving him a strained smile.

"I-I'm fine…" Eijirou says as Izuku notices a hint of sadness behind his words. "I….god, I'm useless..."

"You're not useless, Eijirou," Izuku says.

"How can you say that when you casually break through my quirk without even using yours!?" Eijirou snaps before realizing what he has done before looking away. "I-I'm sorry…"

"Don't be…" Izuku says as he sits next to him. "I…should be apologizing you…"

"What for?" Eijirou asks.

"For making you feel that way…" Izuku sighs. "The reason why I can easily break through your quirk isn't because you're useless or anything like that. It's because of the technique I learned from Gran before he decided to get himself out of retirement and teach at UA."

"W-what?" Eijirou exclaims in shock.

"He calls it Ryou, it's a technique where you imbue your willpower into strength. It's like a chi, but at the same time, it's not." Izuku says with a shrug. "It allows me to predict someone's movement, sense someone from a distance, give you an invisible armor, and deal damage right at the target's soul."

Eijirou's eyes widen as he looks at Izuku in utter disbelief. So, when he felt Izuku's punch hitting like a speeding truck, it was from a technique? But how? And why did no one ever hear of that technique before!?

"S-so…..you're this skilled because of that technique?" Eijirou asks.

"Yeah….you could learn this too, you know," Izuku says, making Eijirou look at him in shock. That sounds too good to be true. "I am not joking….I can ask Gran Torino about this, he could train both of us or even the others."

"Is that really okay? I mean, he is your mentor..." Izuku let out a snort and rolled his eyes.

"The moment he got out of retirement and took a teaching job at UA, that means all UA Students that join the club are his students as well, including you. So, he has zero right to refuse." Izuku says as Eijirou sweatdrops at the statement. "Anyways, I want you to stop looking down on yourself. You are just a first-year starting as a Hero Course student. You're in UA to improve yourself and you got what? 3 years to improve? If you feel lacking, try to improve yourself. If you fail, get back up and try again. Don't let one failure bother you, trust me."

Izuku stops before curling up and looking at the sea with a sad expression, which is noticed by Eijirou as he looks worried at his new best friend. He can't help but feel that Izuku hides something but he isn't ready to talk about it, so he never tries to ask. He respects his friend's privacy and he believes he has the right to tell him. So, imagine his surprise when Izuku decided to talk again.

"I almost give up multiple times, you know? I thought my dream was unattainable…every single time, my dream was crushed…and I just…accept the 'fact'…." Izuku says while sighing. "I…try to improve myself before my 10 months of cleaning this beach….but, Bakugou and his lackeys always discouraged me to do so….so, I gave up, just like they wanted. I….was ashamed of myself back then…"

"…but, you manage to pick yourself up again…train for 10 months…cleaning this beach..." Eijirou says as Izuku looks at him before smiling.

"…it's all thanks to support from a few people who are close to me…" Izuku says as he uncurls himself. "I believe in you….so, don't look down on yourself…keep trying to improve yourself…get stronger…"

"…." Eijirou pulls Izuku into a hug, surprising Izuku as a blush forms on his face slightly. "Damn it….I was so unmanly….almost giving up on myself again…."

"..." Izuku didn't say a word before returning the hug. They stay that way for a moment before they realize they did it for too long and let go, their face are slightly pink.

"S-so…." Eijirou says while looking away awkwardly, which is imitated by Izuku as he lets out a cough.

"I…try to contact Gran to ask if he could let you join…" Izuku mutters as he pulls out his phone and starts texting Gran while he tries his damnest to ignore the laughter in his head.

"Y-yeah, you do that…" Eijirou says while scratching his cheeks.

Meanwhile

Back at UA

"The one who calls himself Tomura Shigaraki, possessing a quirk that disintegrates anything he touches. For some reason, we have no registry of this man, and neither is the one named Kurogiri who possesses a 'Warp Gate' quirk. That means they're using aliases." Tsukauchi says as he looks at the heroes in the meeting room, each of them holds a copy of the folders Tsukauchi provided.

"So, we have little to no information regarding the ringleader behind this attack…" A man with a cowboy outfit muses. "That's bad. We have no idea where they are, and they're probably licking their wounds while preparing to attack."

"From the witness report provided by students, I doubt the one who led the attack is the true leader…" Toshinori mutters.

"Oh, care to elaborate, Yagi-san?" Nedzu asks.

"From what the student states, the ones who are suspected to be the leader show some questioning signs during the attack. He quickly throws a tantrum when he overhears Iida getting back up, and when Midoriya attacks him, he immediately focuses his sight on him, while ignoring his entire plan, which is to kill me. This ends up backfiring as he loses all of his aces and has no choice but to retreat." Toshinori explains.

"So, like a spoiled brat who is quick to anger and throws a tantrum when things don't go his way?" Vlad King says with a raised eyebrow. "Sounds like a man-child."

"That's why I doubted he's the true leader. Losing his composure like that and tossing away his 'plan' because of one setback so easily is not something a proper leader would've done." Toshinori states.

"But, what does it have to do with anything?" Vlad King asks with a raised eyebrow.

"The police manage to apprehend a total of 72 villains from the USJ," Tsukauchi says. "All of them were just back-alley thugs, but doesn't it seem weird? Why do so many of them willingly agree to follow this 'man-child'? The only possibility is that this 'man-child' is backed up by a greater evil, like some sort of a mastermind….but, why the attack?"

"And…let's not forget about the Nomus…" Toshinori says, his expression turns grim. "The students claimed that these Nomus….have multiple quirks…"

"How is that possible!?" A man resembling a cement block, Cementoss, couldn't hide his shock. "No one in this world could possess more than one!"

"No….there is one," Toshinori states, looking at them grimly. "…I….at first refuses to believe it, but the videos….the witnesses….I can't ignore it."

"Why do you refuse to believe it?" A man with messy brown hair and a snout with a muzzle around it growls.

"Because I believed I have killed him," Toshinori says as everyone looks at him in shock. "But it seems that he managed to survive and went to hiding…..and he's now showing himself…."

"W-who is this guy you're talking about?" The blue-haired woman asks in fear.

"A man who can forcefully steal and gives quirk, and the one who gives me this injury. His name is All For One."

To be continued
