Yaoyorozu Estate
"CHEERS!" Everyone said in unison as they made a toast with their glass filled with soda, juice, tea, or coffee before laughing together.
"I…had never expected such celebration, if I'm being honest," Izuku says with a sweatdrop.
"Well, given that most of our group ends up in finals and even wins the match," Yaomomo says as she sips her tea.
"And not to mention, my elder brother had suggested this to me, saying getting into finals is something worth celebrating. Not everyone could get into finals so easily," Iida says while sipping his orange juice.
"He did?" Izuku asks in surprise.
"Yes, and he begs me to celebrate, hoping I could…have fun with my friends more…." Iida says while speaking with slight hesitation before looking at Yaomomo. "I am truly sorry for my brother to drag you into this,"
"Oh, don't worry about it. It's something I would love to do as well. It's not every day I get to have a party with friends." Yaomomo says with a smile, waving her hand dismissively.
"I-I see…" Iida muses.
"Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!" The three of them turn and see Tetsutetsu chugging down a jug filled with orange juice with Kaminari, Mina, Sero, Tooru, Ojiro, Sen, Awase, and Tsuburaba cheering. Yaomomo has gone all out with the party, inviting Class 1-A, 1-B, and students from the Fight Club to the party.
Lycaon and the maids are busy cooking and preparing the food, with Rina continuously replacing every empty food on the plate. It's a strategy implemented by the Victorian Housekeeping to keep her away from the kitchen, which works wonders.
Kendo can be seen talking with her classmates along with Togeike, Komori, and Jirou about girls' stuff. Tokoyami is talking with Reiko and Kuroiro about their lord and savior, which Izuku thinks he shouldn't hear about. Other students have fun doing their stuff, even jumping into the pool and splashing the water on everyone.
Izuku takes a sip of his soda as he watches everyone having fun together, making him smile slightly. He had never expected that the students of the Hero Course could get any closer than in the manga/anime, but apparently, he was proven wrong. Despite how close the majority of Hero Course students are, it was a rare moment in anime showing the students hanging out like actual kids, even with the fillers and OVA.
"Hey, Izuku," Hanzo greets as he walks closer to him. Izuku merely nods in acknowledgment while sipping his drink. "Not enjoying the party?"
"Um…it's more like I am inexperienced when it comes to party," Izuku admits sheepishly. "I…wasn't exactly the most social person, so going to a friend's house for a party is…a new experience for me,"
"Wow, you're more introverted than me," Hanzo says in surprise. "I at least had gone to a party or two,"
"Like I said, I'm…not the most social person," Izuku says while chuckling nervously before sipping more of his soda. "I…fear of talking with people due to my experience, either people choose to ignore me or see me as an annoyance. I tend to talk a lot when I start, but I usually choose to stay silent. It…comes to bit me on my ass when people decided to treat me like I….wasn't there…"
"Geez, that's rough buddy," Hanzo mutters, making Izuku snorts.
"Seriously, quoting Prince Zuko now?" Izuku asks in amusement.
"It's a classic." Hanzo defends himself before they chuckle in unison.
"What are you guys talking about?" They turn to see Takechi approaching them while holding a cup of milkshake.
"Something from our world," Izuku says.
"Oh, do you mind if I ask what's it about?" Takechi asks curiously.
"Well, maybe not in this party. Because if I tell you about it, you'll spend the entire night listening to the story instead of having fun with friends." Hanzo says while waving his hands.
"Oh, okay," Takechi says with a smile.
"Speaking of which, mind telling us how in the world you even got a second Digimon Partner!?" Hanzo asks incredulously.
"I honestly had zero idea how." Izuku shrugs helplessly. "The little guy's appearing out of nowhere and claims to be my partner, and then my digivice was given an upgrade and the rest is history."
"But, how? I mean, didn't all main characters simply have one Digimon? I mean, is it following the game rules or anime rules?" Hanzo asks confusedly.
"This is super confusing," Takechi says as his eyes are replaced with swirls.
"Well…Hackmon is not supposed to be my partner, but an alternate universe Izuku's partner, so maybe that might be it?" Izuku says unsurely.
"...whatever deity decided to make that story has a twisted sense of humor, that's just too dark…" Hanzo mutters grimly.
"That's just cruel…Hackmon never gets the chance to truly meet his partner and that world's Izuku never gets to know that there's someone who believes in his dream…" Takechi mutters sadly.
"Yeah…it's why I try my best as his new partner…" Izuku says quietly. "That Izuku is his true partner, and I will never be able to replace him, but I'll make sure to be the partner Hackmon deserves after everything."
Meanwhile, Hackmon, who's been eating his food, had overheard Izuku's words, and tears unable to stop flowing out from his eyes. He can't believe that he ever thought that this Izuku would try to replace him with a new partner when he's been nothing but the best partner he could ever ask just because another Digimon had become Izuku's partner as well.
"Haku-Aniki? Are you okay?" Hackmon snaps out of his thoughts before looking at Veemon who gives him a concerned look. "You're crying. Something wrong? Can I hug you?"
'…damn it, why am I angry at him earlier?! It's not his fault!' Hackmon thought before wiping the tears off his face. "I-I'm fine, Vee. Just…thinking…"
"…you don't like me being Izuku's partner, isn't it?" Veemon asks quietly, shocking Hackmon at how observant he is. Then again, he didn't attempt to hide his feelings back then. "Because you think I might replace you?"
"…..honestly, yes…" Hackmon admits with a sigh. "But, I was wrong…both of us can be his partner…" Hackmon adds before petting Veemon's head with his tail.
"Really?" Veemon perks up, and his eyes brighten.
"Yeah," Hackmon says with a smile before Veemon pulls Hackmon into a hug, surprising the Royal Knight-in-Training before he returns the hug. His fear of being replaced slowly dissipated, with only a warm feeling left on his chest. 'I…suppose you're right, partner…'
Back with Izuku, the isekai trio watches the interaction and smiles, feeling glad that Hackmon finally has another friend. Hanzo and Takechi can't help but feel bad for the poor Royal Knight-In-Training for what their partners did. All Hackmon did was try to befriend them, but they chose to ignore Hackmon's attempts and efforts.
"… What are they?" Shinsou, who got dragged by his fellow Gen Ed Students much to his chagrin, points at the group of Digimons in utter confusion.
"They're called Digimon," Shugo says while sighing. "Not sure about the details, but they called themselves the partners of the Heroic Course Students. That white-scaled dragon is Midoriya's, the bipedal triceratops is Takechi's, and the giant headed-bird is Hasashi's. Not sure about the blue dragon though."
"Can…they fight?" Shinsou asks.
"Oh, trust me. They definitely can." Sato says as he munches a slice of cake. "The best fighters amongst them are the white dragon, if I remember correctly, they called him Hackmon. He also said he's a 'Royal Knight-in-training' or whatever it is, which based on his title, explains his crazy fighting prowess. Oh, he can also evolve into a stronger form, if what the USJ rumors are true."
'Control your envy, Shinsou. Don't be jealous of someone having a badass dragon fighting alongside them that can even evolve like Pokeyman….' Shinsou thought, his eyes slightly twitching as he processed the information. He unconsciously moves his lips to form something akin to a pout, making Komori giggle at the scene.
"W-what?" Shinsou questions Komori, who's holding her laughter.
"S-sorry, it's just…you're so obviously jealous of them it's funny," Komori giggles. "I-I'm sorry."
"I-I'm not jealous!" Shinsou replies defensively, his cheeks turning pink at the accusation.
"Don't worry," Shugo pats his shoulder comfortingly. "I am also jealous, wishing to have a manly partner that could fight beside me."
"I-I said I'm not jealous!" Shinsou exclaims before pouting, making his new friends laugh. Izuku notices Shinsou interacting with the rest of the Gen Ed Students and smiles, feeling glad that despite not interfering, Shinsou can move towards the better path.
"You know, I expect you to be more proactive in either keeping some things the same or maybe changing them." Hanzo points out.
"Well, I only regain my memories during the entrance exam." Izuku sighs. "Besides, there are too many things I need to consider as well. I'm…not perfect, and I could make things worse instead of making things better…So many changes that happen, I…can't just carelessly change things up."
"Y-yeah, sorry about that," Hanzo winces before rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Don't worry too much about it," Izuku says. "At least the HPSC is no longer a major issue we need to uproot thanks to Nedzu taking over. Lady Nagant won't be on the villain's side thanks to you, and Hawks is no longer pressured to be a hero and did some dirty shits. Right now, he's freshly graduated from Kyushu University who's seeking a sidekick role in Endeavor's Agency." Izuku blinks before shaking his head. "Okay, maybe the change is weirder than I expected."
"Ahahaha…" Hanzo rubbed his head sheepishly again while Takechi furrowed his brows.
"…yeah, I had no idea what you guys are even discussing," Takechi says before gulping down his milkshake.
"A hero who was supposed to be working under a corrupt organization is now becoming a hero on his own accord, seeking a role as a sidekick of the hero he admires, Endeavor," Izuku explains as Takechi blinks.
"…Do I need to be concerned for him to be a dick?" Takechi asks as both reincarnated teens snort in laughter.
"Nah, don't worry. He won't be a dick, but he can be annoying with his attitude," Izuku chuckles before pausing. "Or maybe he won't. Things have changed quite a lot, to be honest."
"This only gets even more confusing," Takechi groans. "I wish I could binge-read all of the manga."
"Well, we can help you catch up," Izuku says before ruffling his hair, causing Takechi to pout.
"Will you ever stop treating me like a little kid?" Takechi mutters. "I may die young, but I'm not a little kid."
"Sorry," Izuku says while chuckling. "But, given the fact that I was 20 when I died, I can't stop seeing myself older…"
"Well, can't blame you. I still see most of the students like they're younger than me, even though we're currently the same age…" Hanzo comments.
"…reincarnating while having all of our memories feels weird," Takechi mutters.
"True…" Izuku nods before frowning. "Speaking of reincarnation, Minobe-san seems getting more and more unhinged."
"Do any of you guys know her deal? Because I can't understand her at all." Hanzo comments with a frown.
"…maybe she simply wants to get closer to Todoroki, but everyone keeps ruining it for her?" Takechi comments. "I always see her sighing dreamily at Todoroki whenever he does anything."
"What are you guys talking about?" They all turn to see Shoto approaching them, holding a bowl of soba.
"Hey, Shoto." Izuku greets. "How's your injuries?"
"It's…fine," Shoto answers. "…you?"
"Good," Izuku gives him a thumbs up. "All injuries are healed. Still hurts a bit, though."
"Sorry," Shoto apologizes awkwardly.
"N-no need," Izuku waves his hands dismissively. "I did injure you as well, so the apologies weren't necessary!"
"…okay," Shoto mutters before slurping his soba. "So, what are you two talking about?"
"It's about Minobe…" Izuku says as Shoto raises his eyebrow.
"What about her?" Shoto asks.
"We've…been wondering what's her problem with me. She seems to hate me as much as Bakugou hates me," Izuku says while scratching his cheek. "Also, she has a crush on you."
"Crush?" Shoto asks cluelessly, tilting his head in confusion. The trio mentally facepalm, wondering just how socially stunted he is.
"It's….a term used for someone interested in you romantically." Izuku describes, slightly unsure. To be fair to Izuku, he does know what it means, just not how to describe it properly.
"….is there a way to make someone….not have a crush on me?" Shoto asks unsurely.
"Unless you could disfigure yourself, ruining your already ruined reputation even more, or humiliate yourself so badly that your child and the rest of your descendants suffered from it, then no," Hanzo says bluntly before Izuku elbowed him. "Ow, what!? I am merely speaking the truth! That's what a handsome, attractive-looking guy needs to do."
"…how about a way to avoid her?" Shoto asks, grimacing slightly at Hanzo's suggestions.
"Just ignore her in any way possible," Izuku says with a sigh. "If you give her a single ounce of care, she will get even more determined to get your attention."
"Or made her so desperate to seek his attention," Hanzo grumbles as Shoto looks slightly horrified.
"The point is!" Izuku exclaims before elbowing Hanzo again. "Don't give a single shit about her! Maybe you can report to the teacher if she goes too far."
"….I'll keep that in mind," Shoto nods before walking away. Izuku let out a sigh before rubbing the back of his head.
"I feel sorry for the poor guy," Izuku says as Takechi nods.
"Ditto," Takechi says before looking at Hanzo. "Also, seriously Hanzo?"
"What?" Hanzo says while shrugging.
"Let's…just have fun with the party," Izuku sighs as Eijirou emerges from the pool and waves at Izuku.
"Yo, Izu-Bro! We're gonna have a swimming race! Wanna join?!" Eijirou exclaims as Izuku blinks at the sudden invitation. He needs to get used to his friends inviting him to activities.
"…" Izuku looks at Hanzo and Takechi, who raise their eyebrows in confusion.
"Don't look at us, he invites you," Hanzo says as Izuku sighs before taking off his shirt, leaving with just his pants. Tokage and Mina instantly start wolf-whistling while Sen and Awase groan, looking envious. Kuroiro's eyes twitch as Reiko seems a bit distracted by the view, Togeike let out a 'damn', and Kendo can't help but teases her class boys about having skinny arms.
Those who join the race are Tenya, Eijirou, Izuku, Ojiro, and Shugo. Eijirou enthusiastically says that quirks are allowed in the race, which is a huge mistake as Izuku instantly wipes the floor, causing everyone to boo at Eijirou for implying such rules in the first place.
The next race is with Sato, Sen, Awase, Kuroiro, Kamakiri, Tetsutetsu, and Takechi. Since the rule regarding quirk usage still applies, this leads Takechi to win the round. Everyone can't help but complain about how unfair this race is since all of the enhancement-type quirks will instantly wipe the floor.
The third race involves Sero, Aoyama, Shinsou, Denki, Bondo, and Shoto. The results of the race made everyone facepalm so hard that it could be heard through the entire mansion. Why? Shoto decided that it would be a good idea to create an ice bridge and slide on it in a swimming race.
The fourth race involved Shoji, Hanzo, Tsuburaba, Manga, and Rin. To everyone's surprise, Tsuburaba is the one who wins the race. Tsuburaba reveals he's been practicing swimming since he was a kid to increase his lung capacity and breath endurance to get better at using his quirk, having been champion of junior swimming tournament for several years. This little trivia surprises Izuku as it was never mentioned in any media, but it does make sense in some ways.
Koda, Tokoyami, and Shoda choose to not join the race, and no one complains as they all return to having more fun. As Izuku sits on the edge of the pool, he is approached by Ochako who sits next to him.
"Oh, hey Ocha," Izuku greets. "How are you feeling?"
"If you're referring to what happened after my loss, don't worry," Ochako says with a soft smile. "Your pep talk helps."
"I…am glad it did," Izuku says while scratching his cheek. "I…always afraid that I might say the wrong stuff…"
"Don't worry too much, you didn't say anything wrong…" Ochako chuckles slightly before smiling. "You were right…about everything….mama and papa called me…they said I shouldn't have to rush things over…"
"See? You should trust me more," Izuku brags slightly, making Ochako snorts.
"Didn't you just scared about how you were always afraid that you might say the wrong stuff?" Ochako asks in amusement.
"Oh? Did I just say that?" Izuku asks, feigning innocence as Ochako laughs out loud before Izuku joins in. After a while, they fell silent as they sat next to each other. "Um…Ocha…"
"Yeah?" Ochako asks while smiling widely.
"…why do you kiss me?" Izuku asks, making Ochako widen her eyes before her face turns crimson. It didn't take long before Izuku joined in. "Oh, god I sound like a dense anime protagonist."
"I…" Ochako shyly twiddled her thumbs while looking away. "I…honestly let my intrusive thoughts take over…"
"…like lifting off my shirt?" Izuku asks teasingly, his face still blushing.
"Oh, shut it!" Ochako slaps Izuku's back, causing him to yelp before falling into the water. "Oh, my god! I'm so sorry! I-!"
"Hah!" Izuku emerges from the water while looking at Ochako dryly. Water dripped from his soaked hair as Izuku got out of the pool.
"I-I'm sorry…" Ochako apologizes sheepishly as Izuku sighs.
"Don't think too much about it…" Izuku replies as they both remain silent.
"…I honestly had a crush on you…" Ochako admits as Izuku looks at her in surprise. "Y-you're just amazing…you're talented in using your quirk despite only having it for a day, you're very kind to everyone, and…you're able to overcome all the harsh moments you went through while remaining kind…"
"…." Izuku remains silent, letting Ochako continue.
"Honestly, I never expected you to continue to help me in so many ways…you invited me to dinner with your mom since the USJ after learning about my financial struggles, you helped me to improve using my quirk and get stronger….you even teaches me regarding the school's learning material…you don't have to do all of that, but you choose to do it," Ochako says before looking at Izuku. "I…had a crush on you because you're kindhearted, reliable, and your never-give-up attitude…"
"…Ocha…" Izuku mutters in surprise. He had no idea what to do as this was beyond his expectations. He didn't even realize he had unintentionally attracted Ochako to the point she confessed to him right to his face. He honestly didn't mind Ochako having a girlfriend since she's cute, kind, cheerful, and she doesn't have any red flags that most internet woman has.
The problem is, does he deserve her?
He never had been in a relationship in both of his lives since he had no idea how to socialize, and people chose to ignore his existence, and his quirkless status. Ochako deserves someone who can truly treat her the way she deserves. Can he do that for her?
"…I should've known that it's too early to ask that question," Ochako says while smiling sadly, snapping Izuku out of his thoughts. "I simply wish to tell you how I feel after being your friend since the entrance exam. At least, I managed to get it off my chest." Ochako gets up before looking at Izuku sadly. "You don't have to reply to my feelings immediately, Izu. And, thank you for listening."
With that, Ochako walks away. Izuku's world slowed down as he watched Ochako slowly walk away. Izuku is in a dilemma, unsure how to respond. The anxiety gripped his heart like a tightened rope, chains wrapping around his limbs to keep him moving. The world slowly turns dark as Izuku watches Ochako continue to take a step away.
"Midoriya…whatever you want to say…you should say it out loud…" Yoichi says, his spirit materializing beside Izuku. "Don't let your anxiety prevent you from following your heart." He places his hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Get up, and say it…"
Izuku turns to see the rest of the OFA vestiges looking at him before nodding, nudging him to move forward. With that, anxiety slowly loosens its grip on Izuku as he gets up and holds Ochako's hand, stopping her from walking away, and the time returns to normal.
"Ocha, I like you too!" Izuku exclaims, surprising Ochako. Everyone in the vicinity stops what they're doing and watches them. "I…I like you too…"
"Izu…" Ochako mutters in surprise.
"I…I'm sorry for not responding to your feelings immediately…" Izuku says apologetically. "I...I was honestly scared…my mind anxiously thought….do I deserve your feelings?"
"You…idiot…" Ochako mutters, a lone tear escaping her eyes.
"S-so, I made up my mind…" Izuku says. "E-even if I don't deserve your feelings now…I-I'll do everything to truly deserve it…." Izuku smiles at her, wiping the tears off her face. "I…had a crush on you too… you're the first girl who ever talked to me properly…not looking at me in disgust, not simply talk out of professionalism…just a friendly talk…it may not mean much to most people, but to me…it's a lot…"
"Izuku…" Ochako mutters with a smile before pulling Izuku's face and locking lips with each other. Izuku widened his eyes before closing it and they both started kissing, earning cheers from everyone. After a while, they let go before noticing everyone's watching, causing their face to turn red.
"Ah…" Ochako stammers before covering her face. "I…I should've done this in a more private area…"
"Well, no use crying over spilled milk," Izuku chuckles before they both lock eyes with each other and smile, holding hands with each other as Ochako leans her head on Izuku's shoulder. "So…we're official now? Both of us are boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"Haha, yes, you dork." Ochako laughs. Izuku merely grins nervously before looking at Hanzo who gives him a double thumbs up and a dopey grin. Izuku feels his vein pops before shaking his head in disbelief. In an instant, everyone starts crowding him like a flock of pigeons fighting over breadcrumbs.
"Bro, congrats!"
"Congratulations on becoming the first official couple in the Hero Course!"
"Tell us your secret!"
"Please tell us how did you do it!"
Izuku struggles helplessly in the crowd as he tries to escape but to no avail. Ochako, who finally snaps out of her shock at her new boyfriend getting crowded by everyone, immediately tries to help Izuku. Thankfully, Iida, Itsuka, Yaomomo, and Shoda all help Izuku by separating everyone from him, much to Izuku's relief.
Meanwhile, Eijirou watches the entire scene with a somber smile. He could only give the two official couple a silent congratulation, ignoring the weird feelings bubbling inside his chest. Denki seems to notices about it and pats his back comfortingly.
After the party was over, everyone went back to their home. Izuku, Hackmon, and Veemon are picked up by Toshinori and Inko in a car. Both Midoriyas offer Ochako a ride back home, to which she reluctantly agrees since she feels bad for having the Midoriyas constantly helping her. Izuku ends up regretting asking Toshinori to pick him up as he and Inko constantly tease the new couple endlessly, and for the entire ride, both of their faces remain crimson.
