Short Stories 13 - Kenshi Takechi's Desire
"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" Takechi calls as he and Gammamon enter the house through the large door.
"Oh, Kenshi!" A middle-aged woman with long blue hair, white streaks, and blue eyes approaches Kenshi before pulling him into a warm hug. "I hope you're having fun with your friends, Kenshi and Gammamon."
"I did!" Both Kenshi and Gammamon answer in unison with a cheerful tone.
"I get to meet a new friend, Veemon! Izuku-san had gained a new partner, and he's fun!" Gammamon says excitedly.
"Speaking of Izuku, It's fun hanging out with him, but I wish he stopped treating me like a younger kid. We're both the same age." Kenshi pouts as his mother laughs before ruffling his hair.
"To be fair, Kenshi. You do act like someone's younger brother. It's just a matter of time before someone takes the older brother role." His mother teases as Kenshi pouts more, visible blush appears on both of his cheeks.
"Mom..." Kenshi let out a whine, making his mom laugh harder.
"You only prove my point, dear." Kenshi looks away as Gammamon lands on his head, rubbing his hands on Kenshi's hair.
"Also, I am sorry for not being in the stadium to watch you perform out there."
"I understand, Mom," Kenshi says with a smile. "I know why, so don't worry too much, Mom. That goes for you too, Dad." Kenshi looks at the wall behind his mom before a figure walks out, revealing a man who looks like an older Kenshi.
"I swear, whatever you learn in UA made my old skill obsolete." The man grumbles while scratching his cheeks, making Kenshi chuckles.
"Come on, dad. Your skills are the reason why I even got to pass the entrance exam in the first place! If you didn't teach me, I would be a headless chicken who didn't know how to do things." Kenshi laughs. "Besides, I still use them from time to time."
"Well, now I don't have to worry about my son thinking this old man is useless." Kenshi's dad says jokingly.
"Dad, you're neither old nor useless. Don't be delusional." Kenshi protests, causing his dad to laugh.
"So, how's your day? I hope your friends didn't bully you at all, and you remember what you should do if they did it." His dad says before his mom approaches her husband and pulls his left ear. "Ow, ow! Honey, let go!"
"Not until you stop making our son into delinquent!" She protests.
"I am suggesting to him how to defend himself!" Her husband defends himself.
"Your suggestion is 'to beat the biggest of them all'! He's in school, not prison!"
"Only if you let it be!"
"That's not even funny!"
Kenshi can't help but laugh at their interactions. Their banters prove that the love between his parents is genuine, despite their rough upbringing.
Kenshi's parents were former assassins who worked under HPSC and fell for each other during their jobs. They were planning to quit their jobs due to how much worse HPSC's corruption had become and went into hiding to prevent getting tracked by the corrupt government. During their hiding, they married in secret and had Kenshi. Both were worried that their son might get caught in their conflict, but neither of them was willing to abandon him, so they raised him but chose not to have another child out of fear.
But, things changed when Lady Nagant confessed and sacrificed herself to reveal HPSC's corruption, leading to the mass raids performed by All Might to tear HPSC down from the root. This made the couple relieved that they no longer had to worry about the HPSC, but this led to another worry. Since HPSC is taken over by the principal of UA, he might assign heroes to capture every HPSC agent in hiding, so they keep hiding while also providing a normal life for Kenshi.
They confessed the truth to their son during his 9th birthday, a year after the confession and the massive raid. This made Kenshi feel sad for his parents as their views towards the world, heroism in particular, became jaded. So, Kenshi decided that besides saving people, he found another way to repay his parents in a way that was impossible for him to do in the past life, becoming the hero for his parents to believe in, restoring what they believed heroes were before getting corrupted by HPSC.
He had done everything to train himself with his quirk, and his father helped him oversee the training. He passed his exam and found new friends, learning how to be heroes in a school full of experienced heroes. Finding a fellow reincarnated person wasn't something he expected to find, but it was not unwelcome.
'I swear, I'll make you guys believe in heroes once more, Mom, Dad,' Kenshi says to himself, smiling as both of his parents continue arguing about how his dad attempted to corrupt Kenshi since the beginning of the training.

Short Stories 14 - Offers
Miles can't help but furrow his eyebrows as he walks through the hallway towards the principal's office, wondering what is the reason behind getting called by Principal Nedzu himself. Then, his mind wanders to the moment when he hacked UA to see the results, making the boy pale and start shivering in fear of getting expelled.
But, when he sees students from different courses also entering the principal's office, his fear turns back to confusion. He can't help but wonder why everyone is in the principal's office, even Mei of all people getting called.
"Hatsumei? What are you doing here?" Miles asks.
"I could ask the same question to you. I thought you would be spending your time making more babies." Mei says with a shrug.
"B-babies!?!" A short girl with brown hair that reminds Miles of Ochako squeaks in shock, blushing slightly. The rest of the students there look at Miles in appalled expression, causing the poor boy to panic.
"She means invention! Invention!" Miles exclaims before looking at Mei incredulously. "Hatsumei, how many times do I need to remind you about phrasing!?"
"But didn't you put all your blood, sweat, and tears to make it? Calling them your babies isn't farfetched." Miles understands her logic; he really does.
"Mei, you need to understand that people always take things out of context in an attempt to understand what they're hearing or seeing! We need to be very careful when speaking!" Miles exclaims as Mei tilts her head.
"...oh! You mean they believe you're having sex!" Mei immediately burst into laughter, causing Miles to facepalm before covering his embarrassed blush while other students sheepishly looked away from Miles and Mei.
"As amusing as the topic of your conversation, I would like to remind you that you all shouldn't be saying such things in front of the principal." This made everyone stiffen before looking to see Vlad King, Hound Dog, and Nedzu in front of them, either pinching the bridge of their nose, awkwardly coughing, or smiling in amusement respectively.
"W-we're sorry!" They all say in unison, causing Nedzu to chuckle.
"Ah, I don't mind that much. My jobs leave me dealing with a bunch of uptight asses being too stiff, polite, ass-kissing, and professionally crafted blatant lies, so this kind of conversation is welcoming." Nedzu chuckles while Vlad King facepalms at his boss's antics while Hound Dog mutters about 'setting bad examples to the kids' in annoyance.
"Um, not to be rude sir, but is there a reason why we were called?" Miles asks curiously. The students who are called to the Principal's Office are Miles Prower, Mei Hatsumei, Rikidou Sato, Kinoko Komori, Chikuchi Togeike, Shugo Kyouriki, Michiru Kagemori, Shirou Ogami, and Kenzo Itokuji.
"Being curious doesn't count as rude, so no need to worry about it," Nedzu says while waving his hand dismissively. "As for why are you here? Well, you are all the chosen candidates to transfer to the Hero Course!"
This news shocks everyone, which leads to everyone reacting in different ways. Miles, Kenzo, and Mei seem surprised but not by much. The General Department course students were all cheering except for Ogami, who remained silent.
"Wait, sir," Miles calls, stopping everyone. "I...know how I sound like I try to ruin the moment, but is there a reason why you accept a lot of students to be your candidates? They all performed spectacularly, but the rules regarding how limited the candidate of being transferred to the hero course has never changed, until now."
"Indeed, but in my opinion, it's about time to change it," Nedzu says with a smile, pleased that someone would question regarding the changes. "As you see, the reason behind those rules was all from the corrupted mindset of the HPSC. They made it seem like only those with powerful quirks who never get the chance to shine can be the candidates, these facts were hidden by the logical arguments they made when they suggested the rules to the school boards."
"Geez, to think old HPSC's corruption is worse than we previously thought," Togeike mutters as Nedzu nods in agreement.
"Indeed, that is why I suggested changing the rules," Nedzu says. "The school boards were at first refused since they believed HPSC's argument to limit the candidates. It take quite a lot of convincing, but I was able to wager a bet, using this Sports Festival to prove there are always so many hidden gems they overlook. And low and behold, all of you exceed my expectations!"
"..." Everyone remains silent, widening their eyes in shock as they never expect such revelations from the principal of the greatest hero course students of all time.
"But, to be honest, I was worried when I heard how a lot of courses have some grudges against Hero Courses for something beyond their control." This made every student in the room grimace. "Fortunately, you were all able to put aside your hatred and showed everyone."
"I'm honestly a bit miffed that you even wager a bet using your students." Vlad King mutters, but in reality, he's more miffed that Nedzu let him beg like an idiot before revealing his plan and cackling maniacally right at his face.
No one shall ever know such shame.
"I know how it sounds bad, but given how the school boards were people who believe teaching genders and sexuality to minors are top priorities than actual changes that truly benefit society, some desperate measures need to be taken." Everyone holds their urge to facepalm at Nedzu's words. In reality, the school boards didn't think such ways; Nedzu just said those to drag their images through the sewers.
"Of course, other changes are made," Nedzu adds. "You all will be in separate classes from either Class 1-A or Class 1-B, and all of you will be focusing on catching up to the Hero Course students. All of you may do spectacularly, but some lessons that were taught in the hero course aren't taught in the regular curriculum of your respective courses, so this might be necessary."
"And your training will be overseen by us." They all turn to see Aizawa, Thirteen, All Might, and Gran Torino standing behind them.
"I will be overseeing your training and what weakness you might need to overcome," Aizawa says while adjusting his tie. "And I will also act as a security measure for any possible quirk accidents."
"I will be the one planning for your training, including your nutrition plans and even sleep schedule!" All Might exclaims. "While also making sure neither of you overworked yourself! Trust me, neither of you wants to experience such pain!"
"I will be the one who oversees your rescue training," Thirteen says while placing her hand on her chest. "Including the minimal medical knowledge requirements."
"I will be overseeing your combat training while also drilling every Quirk law right through those thick skulls of yours." Gran Torino says with a sadistic grin. "I hope you all prepare." This made everyone shiver.
"...can I refuse?" Miles immediately spoke, surprising a lot of people. "I...am grateful to ever get the chance, but...being a hero isn't what I want. I love inventing tools and even assisting heroes with my support equipment, and maybe sometimes act as a guy in the chair. I am already satisfied with my position."
"Same goes for me. My passion is to make more babies, not being heroes." Mei also refuses, causing Miles to facepalm.
"Me three. I prefer making support items." Kenzo says with little to no interest.
"Add me to the list," Ogami says, surprising Hound Dog and even Michiru. "My dream is to be a detective, being a hero is too much of a hassle. Besides," Ogami pats Michiru's shoulder. "I think you all having her is enough to keep you all busy."
"O-Ogami!" Michiru exclaims before slapping Ogami's shoulder but to no avail. In the end, only the majority of General Course students in the office accept the transfer.
"Um, sir," Togeike asks, getting Nedzu's attention. "Is...there a reason why Hitoshi Shinsou didn't agree to be transferred?"
"Actually, he is part of the candidates." Nedzu answers, surprising everyone. "It's only because of his request that we didn't call him. He says he has done something that couldn't be considered heroic, so he will not accept it unless he 'atone' for what he did. The teachers requested him to think about it, but he didn't budge."
"Ah..." Togeike remains silent, trying to process what Shinsou did while everyone is scared they might not survive their training.

Short Story 15 - Bakugou's Eruption
Two adults can be seen sitting on the couch while looking concerned. One is a middle-aged woman with spiky ash blonde hair, red eyes, and skins that are so youthful-looking, people might mistake her as a young woman at her 20s. This is Mitsuki Bakugou, the mother of Katsuki Bakugou and Inko's closest friend.
The second adult is a man with short, spiky brown hair, unshaved facial hairs, and dark brown hair, wearing a pair of glasses. This man is Masaru Bakugou, the father of Katsuki Bakugou and husband of Mitsuki Bakugou.
Both of them are in a dilemma, especially regarding the situation they're facing, specifically the issues regarding their son, Katsuki Bakugou.
Ever since Bakugou returned back home as he and Midoriya were called back to Aldera for congratulations from the principal, nothing has been the same. Their son had grown more aggressive, and his temper had become shorter.
Then, there was a massive fight in UA that led to Katsuki having a dented chin (How does someone dent another's chin in the first place!?) before they received a call from Inko. She had unleashed hell on them, summoning every curse and slur Mitsuki had taught her in case she needed to tell a guy off, telling how their son had bullied Izuku to the point he snapped at Katsuki.
This leads the parent to confront Katsuki and tell him to answer, which he doesn't deny anything much to the Bakugous' horror. They had a screaming match for the entire night; even Masaru, who is quite reserved, ended up yelling at Katsuki, completely pissed at his son's actions and unapologetic attitude.
To make things worse, a detective of all people arrived at their house and questioned everything about their son. They could only answer every question provided by the detective numbly, too shocked to process what their son had become.
Then, today, his mood has gotten worse. All they could hear was how someone had cheated and made a complete fool of him before throwing a tantrum and tossing stuff around his room.
"What did we do wrong..." Mitsuki sobs as Masaru pats her shoulder comfortingly. "W-we're such terrible parents...how can we miss all the red flags!?"
"We were too trusting...we trusted our son to be a good person...we trusted his teachers praising him...we trusted that nothing is wrong..." Masaru tries to convince his wife, but it sounds like he is convincing himself.
"We should've seen it! He has my temper and bad manners! There's no way every praise his teachers told us is even remotely true!" Mitsuki exclaims, continuing to sob.
"..." Masaru had no response to that. He should've seen the obvious lies coming from Aldera, he should've done more.
Meanwhile, inside Katsuki's room, everything is a complete mess. Explosion craters all around the floor, singed marks all around the wall, and the table and chair are shattered beyond repair. At the center, Katsuki is panting heavily, smoke coming out of his palm, his pupils dilated, and his anger is reaching boiling point.
"Fuck!" Katsuki roars. "This is utter bullshit! How!? How can I lose!? How can I get caught by Eyebags' petty trick!? How dare he turn me into his horse!!? How dare he steal my chance to show my greatness!?!"
Katsuki pants before looking at the computer screen; the screen pauses right at where it displays the image of Shinsou looking disinterested while riding his horse; one of the horses is Katsuki.
"Congratulations, Deku. You have someone who I hate more than you!" Katsuki sneers before clenching his fist, an explosion coming out of the gap in his fist. "Just you wait, Eyebags. You will fucking pay for what you did!"

Short Story 16 - Beyond the Heroverse
In a void filled with floating codes and an invisible platform, three figures standing at the top of the platform. All three figures are three women dressing as some sort of nun; each has a distinctive appearance.
One nun wears a white dress with a golden accent, a headdress resembling a pink bunny with a very long ear shape and a long fur coat, she has long silver-white hair, and a pair of silver-colored eyes. One of her hands held a golden trident shaped like a church's candelabra.
The next nun wears a white dress with a metallic silver accent and a headdress resembling a blue mouse with two pairs of whiskers and a pair of devil wings, she has long dark blue hair with a pair of blue eyes, one covered under her hair. She holds a katana sheathed in its scabbard wrapped in black bandages.
The last nun wears a black dress with a metallic silver accent, and a headdress resembling a black cat with a pair of devil wings, having silver eyes and hairs. Her hands hold a pair of guns shaped like crosses.
These three figures are Sistermon Blanc, Sistermon Ciel, and Sistermon Noir respectively. The three of them are digital lifeforms called Digimon, who could be mistaken as a convent of nuns if not for their weird choice of headdress and each holding their weapons.
The three of them are Hackmon's caretakers under the order of Hackmon's mentor and father figure, Gankoomon, who has been looking for the missing Digimon for 4-5 Digital World Years. Neither of them had been successful in seeking the Rookie Digimon ever since he had run away.
They can't honestly blame Hackmon for doing this. They had kept him away from meeting his partner all for the sake of helping Hackmon prepare enough to defend themselves, which led to a big mistake where the supposed Digidestined committed suicide, taking an unexpectedly dark turn for everyone. This made Hackmon fully distrust either Sistermons or Gankoomon, leading him to run away.
Not long ago, they detected an anomaly, specifically a space-time anomaly. This anomaly had led to an entirely new universe completely away from the universe of the former Digidestined. A few Digimon has been confirmed entering the new universe either by choice or accident and it has happened for 1 Digital World Year until it was detected by the world's defensive system.
"How can we miss this massive anomaly for so long?" Sistermon Noir frowns as they look at the screen displaying data about the anomaly.
"It's like how a lot of Digimons dismiss a small thing and focus on bigger stuff. The system that runs our entire world was meant to detect much bigger threats, leaving the smaller threat slowly grow to become a bigger threat." Sistermon Ciel says.
"But, the data we have gotten doesn't say this anomaly to be dangerous." Sistermon Blanc points out. The three of them look at the data before they look right at the source of the anomaly, a tear in space-time leading to the unknown.
"...yeah, the system must be malfunctioning. That kind of tear in space-time is not normal at all." Sistermon Ciel says in a blank tone.
"Sistermons," Sistermon Ciel did not yelp at all when a second screen popped out of nowhere, displaying a holographic image of a middle-aged man with spiky red hair, a goatee, and a pair of horned goggles on his eyes.
"Gankoomon," Sistermon Blanc greets politely as they all bow at Gankoomon.
"I can assume you all are dealing with the anomaly?" Gankoomon asks.
"We are, but we're unsure how to deal with it," Noir replies.
"...explains." If Gankoomon's eyes were not covered with his goggles, they could see one of his eyebrows raised.
"Based on the data displayed on the screen, it states that there are no signs of danger. We have tried pointing the scanner right at the anomaly, yet no danger is detected." Sistermon Blanc explains.
"So? What made you all feel unsure?" Gankoomon asks in confusion.
"Well..." Sistermon Noir simply points the holographic screen towards the tear in the space-time.
"Wait, I think I might seen this before..." Gankoomon mutters as he observes the tear.
"You do?" Sistermon Ciel asks with a raised eyebrow.
"You all remember the lesson regarding multiple universes and multiple Digital Worlds, right?" Gankoomon asks.
"How can we not? I mean, one of the lessons describes the world where the Olympus 12 ruled over and how you and your fellow Knights hate their guts so much?" Sistermon Noir points out as Gankoomon clears his throat.
"Ah...yes, anyways." Gankoomon decided to focus on his explanation. "What you guys are seeing isn't a simple tear in space-time, but a portal slowly stabilizing and forming a safe pathway to another world."
"Wait, a pathway!?" Noir asks in shock. "How's that possible?"
"It's the will of Yggdrasil forming a gateway with their powers, they have done this once to connect our Digital World with the Olympus 12's and...it's not pretty." Gankoomon grimace. "But, I can assure you, the gateway is stabilizing to form a safe pathway leading to another human world."
"How can you be so sure?" Ciel asks.
"Because the data in the screen displays the data of atom vibration instead of the flowing stream of a code, something only existed in the human world," Gankoomon says. "And given the readings, it's different from the universe of..." Gankoomon trails off, unable to finish his sentence as shame takes over his heart.
"Gankoomon..." Blanc says in concern.
"Apologies...I...am still thinking about my greatest failure..." Gankoomon says while pinching his forehead. "...I should've remembered how fragile human life can be...especially since I used to have my own partner..."
"..." The Sistermons were quiet, unable to respond. Suddenly, the screen beeps, and the tear stabilizes, turning into a proper portal. As they process what is going on, another screen pops up beside them. They all look at the screen and their eyes widen in shock.
"Hackmon!" The screen displays a trace of Hackmon's digital code leading to the portal itself.
"I can't believe this...he's been in that universe for a long time..." Blanc mutters in shock.
"Then, let's go through that portal! Let's find Hackmon and properly apologizes to him!" Noir exclaims.
"Hold it!" The Sistermons pause before looking at the screen displaying Gankoomon. "I'm coming with you three."
"Gankoomon!?" Before they could say more, the holographic screen went off as the Sistermons stood there in silence.
