welcome to the twenty-second, though listed as the twenty-fifth, chapter of my own version of '102 Dalmatians'. I liked it a lot better than '101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure'. speaking of Patch, I hope that every reader of my story, right here, noticed which of Pongo and Perdita's puppies was the parental dog to the lead puppies in this story. this technically and chronologically twenty-second chapter of my version of '102 Dalmatians' is a good one-thousand-five-hundred-thirty-one words of storyline long, excluding this explanatory headnote, right here, the disclaimer I always dub as mandatory in every one of my stories these days, and finally, the comment from yours truly guised as an author's note hidden within the storyline of the chapter. the comment I made to this twenty-second chapter of my own story is all about the seemingly imaginary differences between puppies, kittens and children. OK, enough jawing about. time for the obligatory disclaimer I've written for every chapter for the story.
disclamation: I don't own '102 Dalmatians' in any way, shape, or form. I mean, I own it on DVD, but I was only seven when it first appeared in theaters, at all. so, it wouldn't even be natural for me to have owned '102 Dalmatians', at all. I also don't own either of the '101 Dalmatians' movies. I was but two or three years old when the live action remake came out, and when the original animated classic of '101 Dalmatians' came to theaters, I didn't even exist, yet. all these films are owned by the Walt Disney Movie Productions Company and by Dodie Smith.
Kimberly then followed up on her decision and the ticket distribution lady's advice to her and started to discuss her lack of trust in Cruella De Vil with Raymond in the theatre just before the show started.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Now it all makes sense.
Raymond then turned his head to Kim's direction before the blond got around to his part of the discussion with the brunette.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: What?
Then, Kim stated what she meant had suddenly made sense to her about her friend, Ray.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: How you could actually believe that Cruella De Vil had changed.
Naturally as someone who truly did believe that Miss De Vil actually had changed for the better towards dogs, Ray made every point he could in the 'supposedly' reformed devil woman's defense as he began to talk back even to his own beloved Kim.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: Well, she has changed. She_
Ray was interrupted by the only 'dog' amongst his rescues who could ever get away with talking to humans.
Spixington: Shh! The show's gonna start.
Then, Ray spoke up to Kim about what his blue Spix macaw, Spixington, had said as he interrupted them both while they talked about Cruella.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: Look. Let's just enjoy the show.
Of course, Kim had wanted to make an argument about Ray's sudden change of the subject. But she would have been at risk of being yelled at further by the blue Spix macaw, Spixington.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Let's.
Meanwhile back at the stage to the puppet show, a certain puppet had greeted everyone after humming and dancing up a storm.
Puppet on stage: Hello, everybody!
The patrons of the puppet show: Hello, Mr. Punch!
Then, another puppet showed up on the stage beside the puppet that everyone classically termed as Mr. Punch. It was his partner in puppet showmanship, Judy.
Judy: Hello, everybody!
The children who made up the audience all greeted Judy back, too. Even Shamrock, Speckle Eye and Oddball also went along with the children's greeting back to Judy.
Shamrock, Speckle Eye, Oddball and the patrons of the puppet show: Hello, Judy!
Then, Punch tried to make a type of gesture to his partner in puppet showmanship. Meanwhile in the audience, the adult dogs, Patch, Piper, Bitsy, Slobberton, and Diggit, all just stared on at the puppet show that Punch and Judy put on for all the children in the audience as the puppies, Shamrock, Speckle Eye and Oddball all went along with the children.
A/N: what? puppies and kittens are children, too. both are just animals' children.
Punch: Give us a kiss.
Of course, Judy just did not want anything to do with the kiss from her work-related acquaintance, Punch.
Judy: Ahh! Everybody would laugh at us, wouldn't you, everyone?
The patrons of the puppet show: No!
Having heard a little reassurance from the children watching their own show, Judy finally readied herself to give her puppet co-worker, Punch, the kiss.
Judy: Alright, one kiss. Ready?
Of course, Punch just shrieked at what he had suggested for him and Judy, having heard it himself.
Punch: EEK!
Judy, herself, was appalled at Punch's sudden one-eighty from wanting the kiss to not wanting it.
Judy: Oh, you are awful!
Meanwhile back in the audience, Kim suddenly heard laughter coming from Ray's seat. The brunette only hoped that the blond was not enjoying himself too much to have even qualified as an adult. She even dared herself to look at him to make sure. He enjoyed himself just enough to not actually qualify as that of an adult. It had suddenly felt as though she were watching the show with a five-year-old boy instead of a twenty-nine-year-old man.
Then, Judy decided to talk about something interesting which was about to happen in the show at the time.
Judy (continued): Now, there's a little dog around here, today.
Then, Punch shrieked yet again. Only at that second time, Punch shrieked out at Judy in excitement at the thought of meeting an animal for their puppet show.
Punch: Oh!
Judy then spoke up to the children in the audience further about the dog that was going to pay them all a visit that same puppet show. It also sounded that Judy was going out for a little afterwards, though.
Judy: If you see a dog, will you call out and tell us, please?
The children all assured Judy that they would alert her and Punch about said dog. Oddball joined in with the pack of children's reassurance to Judy about alerting her and Punch if any of them saw a dog.
Oddball and the patrons of the puppet show: Yes!
Then came Judy's leave from the stage as she assured the children she would have been back to said stage soon.
Judy: I won't be long then. Bye-bye!
The children in the audience all bid farewell to Judy by then. Oddball also joined the children again that time, too.
Oddball and the patrons of the puppet show: Bye!
The dog Judy said would have been paying the puppet show a visit had finally shown up. The minute the dog paid him the visit, Mr. Punch just as good as pretended not to know where to find the dog.
Punch: I don't see any dog. Where is it?
But then when the dog Judy said was going to pay them a visit actually showed up, it caused Oddball to renege on hers and the children's shared word to Punch and Judy about alerting them to the sight of said dog. Oddball just whined as soon as she saw the dog puppet was a sweater of black spots which would have been perfect for her to make-believe she had spots of her own.
Oddball: How could Mr. Punch just ignore the dog and pretend that he doesn't see it?
Of course, Kim only grew worried about the absolute youngest of her dalmatians as soon as she saw the very sight of the dog puppet in the show.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Oh, dear.
Ray suddenly grew worried about Kim's sudden lack of ability to enjoy the puppeteer professor's 'Punch and Judy' puppet show.
Raymond 'Ray' Millerson: What is it?
Kim then spoke to Ray in a hushed tone as the brunette tried to explain the situation with her surprisingly unspotted dalmatian puppy to the blond.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Oddball's obsessed with_
Then, Kim gestured her head up to the stage as she tried as effortlessly as she could to explain to Ray the situation with Oddball. Of course, the blond failed to understand what the brunette had to have been so worried over the surprisingly unspotted dalmatian puppy. By the time she pointed to the stage and he only gave her a confused look on his face, Kim suddenly saw that she had needed to actually spell it out for Ray. So, that was exactly what she did.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton (continued): S-P-O-T-S.
Of course, Spixington, being a birdbrain who only thought he was a dog, just had to connect the letters together then say the word said letters spelled out loud.
Spixington: Spots?
By then, the tables had suddenly turned on the stubbornly self-delusional blue Spix macaw when it became Kim and Ray who started shushing him. As Kim and Ray's luck would have had it, however, Spixington argued against their shared shushing to him, anyway, regardless of whether it had been right or wrong to say the word, 'spots' in the first place, at all.
Spixington (continued): What? What? What'd I do? I just said 'spots'. That's all.
Of course, it did not take long for Oddball, herself, to show up on the stage reserved solely for the puppets in the show.
Punch: Help! Help! Help! Help! Oh!
It did not take long for Kim to notice Oddball up on the puppet show's stage, either.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Oh, no!
Patch and Piper, themselves, had also taken their own notice of the situation at hand, as soon as their daughter had gone up onto the puppet show stage and practically ruined the show for all the children in the audience. Of course, in both Patch and Piper's case, it was actually a situation at paw as dogs.
Piper: Not another of Oddball's thankless quests to find her spots.
Patch: I know she didn't get them right away, but she doesn't need to ruin a children's show for the whole audience like right now.
Meanwhile back on the puppet show's stage, Punch was busy getting licked by the dog puppet when Oddball started barking at him.
Punch: Help, help! Help! Help!
Oddball then went and removed the dog puppet from the puppeteer professor's hand which held onto said spotted dog puppet. Although her parents and Kim were not very happy with Oddball stepping up on the grand puppet show stage, the children in the audience seemed to ironically like her performance in the show.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Oddball!
Kim then rushed after Oddball with Patch, Piper and the brothers while Ray, Spixington and the rest of the dogs tailed them from behind for back-up.
Backstage, Oddball ran away from the stage with the spotted dog puppet in tow as the other dogs gave chase to her with Diggit, the fastest of them as an Italian greyhound, led the charge. Kim and Ray also chased after the unfortunately unspotted dalmatian puppy.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton (continued): Oddball, no!
They also ran into Puppeteer Professor Lawrence Sizzle on their way when trying to catch up to Oddball. It was no use for Kim and Ray to try catching the spotless dalmatian pup, but maybe all the dogs would have gotten better luck than them.
