welcome to what is already the newest thirty-sixth chapter of my own version of '102 Dalmatians', though it is technically and chronologically the thirty-third chapter in actuality. this thirty-third chapter of my own version of '102 Dalmatians' is nine-hundred-four words long, which doesn't include this explanatory headnote, right here, at the beginning of the chapter. nor does the storyline of this thirty-third chapter include that of the (mandatory) disclaimer which makes up that of the paragraph following this headnote. speaking of the (obligatory) disclaimer, I already have to get on with that part of my own story in this chronologically thirty-third chapter.
disclamation: I don't own '102 Dalmatians' in any way, shape, or form. I mean, I own it on DVD, but I was only seven when it first appeared in theaters, at all. so, it wouldn't even be natural for me to have owned '102 Dalmatians', at all. I also don't own either of the '101 Dalmatians' movies. I was but two or three years old when the live action remake came out, and when the original animated classic of '101 Dalmatians' came to theaters, I didn't even exist, yet. all these films are owned by the Walt Disney Movie Productions Company and by Dodie Smith.
That same evening while in bed, Kim started talking about her date with Ray to her adult dalmatians, Patch and Piper. They listened to their owner's talk about her date intently, very intently as a matter of fact. As a puppy, Patch would have normally turned his nose at the mention of any romantic talk. Pongo and Perdita's puppies had matured since those days, however, which included Patch, who was a lot more interested in what his new owner had to say about her date with such a fine man. Patch and Piper, at least, approved of Ray and thought the blond to have been a fine man for their owner, Kim, despite all of the chocolate brunette's protests that she was married to her job and already had a family with them.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Ya know, Patch, he reminds me so much of the way Rodger and his dog, Pongo, were when last I saw them both, back when I got you off of them, Anita and her dog, Perdita. Sweet and solid… funny without meaning to be.
Of course, Patch started talking in his own canid tongue to Kim about her dreaming of another potential date with a guy like Ray.
Patch: I have to say; Ray sounds incredible, Kim. Definitely the kind of man that Rodger, Anita and my parents would've liked for you.
Piper also spoke up to Kim about her dreams of another date with a man as handsome and kind as Ray seemed to have been.
Piper: If Kim could only learn to accept love while it's still available to her, I've always said. Now, it looks as though it's going to happen, after all.
Then, Kim's bedroom telephone rang. For one reason or the other, Patch and Piper started growling at the phone, as though they sensed a terrible presence on the other end of whatever the call was to be about.
Of course, Kim just smiled at the thought of Ray having already called her back to schedule their next date.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton's psyche: A call for a second date already? It's barely been an hour since we last saw one another. Ray must like me even more than I thought he did. I'll just let him know that I like him as much but wish he wouldn't stalk me over it.
Of course, Patch and Piper did not want Kim to answer the call as they sensed a far more sinister presence on the other end of that telephone ring. Their puppies, Shamrock, Speckle-Eye, even Oddball, tried to help them stop Kim from picking up such a call for fear at what would await her at the other end of said phone call. Kim just answered the call on her telephone, anyway.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Hello?
The only problem with Kim's telephone call was that the voice on the other end of said phone call was anyone except her beloved Ray. It sounded as though it had belonged to a foreigner, a Japanese, to be exact, judging from both the accent and the word said foreigner used for puppies.
Fukushima Peruto-san: There are ko inu.
Kim did not understand who had called her all of a sudden. It had been so strange to her.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Ko inu?
The voice on the other end of Kim's telephone call spoke to her once again.
Fukushima Peruto-san: At 'Give a Dog Another Chance at a Home' ko inu sheru-taru.
The voice on the other end of the telephone call that Kim had received while still in her bedroom did not make very much sense to the chocolate brunette.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: What?
The voice on the other end of Kim's telephone call had only gotten vaguer from then and there.
Fukushima Peruto-san: Poor ritteru darumeishen ko inu.
Kim only grew all the more confused by whomever had called her telephone number by that point.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Dalmatians?
The voice on the other end of the telephone call Kim had received that night just continued to confuse her even more as it continued talking to her, at all.
Fukushima Peruto-san: Hai. 'Give a Dog Another Chance at a Home' ko inu sheru-taru.
Things only got worse from then and there going forward in the phone call Kim had received from a caller of mysterious and unknown origin. The chocolate brunette had even sworn that the person on the other end of the call had been calling long distance from their accent and the words they said. Her phone bill was sure to run-up after such a phone call, and she had always been a complete stickler to the law. Kim did not know who was on the other end of her phone call, but she had every intention to get to the bottom of it.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton: Hello? Who is this?
Unfortunately for Kim, the person on the other end of her phone call had hung up on her at that point. Needless to say, it prevented her from finding out who had called her on the other end of her phone call.
Kimberly 'Kim/Kimmy' Sefton (continued): Hello? Hello? Hello?
As the triplet puppies just continued to run around the telephone and their parents just sat where they were, Kim placed her bedroom's telephone back on its phone cradle. That same night, the chocolate brunette's sleep was haunted by dozens of nightmares about when she was to get her phone bill at the end of the month, instead of the sweet dreams of any future date with her new blond boyfriend, Ray.
