Jonathan closed Archie's laptop finding a noticeable search; 'Postpartum depression'.
"Why did he search for something like that?" Jonathan thought and looked outside the window, when his phone ranged.
It was his boss who explained to Jonathan that he had already called the Lancaster police station and told one of the detectives the situation, who will help them. The only thing is that Jonathan has to go there to show himself.
"Alright, that I'll do, thanks Barkley." He said and hung up the phone.
When he walked downstairs, he saw a white female rabbit sitting on the armchair and putting her notebook on the living room desk.
"Jonathan, this is Linda. A psychology from the families. I completely forgot that she's coming to meet us today." Sophie explained to Jonathan, who walked closer to them.
Jonathan saw dark circles under Sophie's eyes and remembers seeing her like that earlier, but then Archie was a baby.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, and Sophie, like I told you. It's completely normal to forget, when there are lots of things in the air." Linda said and gave a caring smile to Sophie, which comforted her.
"Nice to meet you as well. I'm sorry, but I have to go to the local police station. Boss order." Jonathan told them and was going to walk to the door, but stopped and looked back to the others.
"Actually, Linda. I have a question; has Archie asked for some information about mental health?"
Linda took her notebook in her hands, searched for the earliest notes and nodded.
"He did. Just in case, so he will be ready to help his parents."
"Like how?" Jonathan asked and started to write in his notebook.
Linda looked at Sophie and Ethan, where Ethan gave permission to explain, while Sophie looked at her legs.
"For example; cleaning, buying and making some food or looking after his younger sibling." Linda explained to him, where Sophie sighed heavily.
Ethan put his hand on Sophie's shoulder, who hid her face and started to cry.
Jonathan felt that it was his fault when he had asked that question from them. He was going to apologize, when Linda closed her notebook and touched Sophie's hand professionally.
"It's alright to be worried. I am a mother as well, and I would be in the exact same situation as you three are now." Linda said, where Sophie wiped her tears away and nodded at the sametime.
…
Jonathan asked Ethan to the hallway where they came, while Linda gave a tissue to Sophie.
"Could you borrow your car and some picture of Archie?" Jonathan asked, lowering his voice.
Ethan gave his car keys and Archie's last year's school picture. Jonathan looked for a while at a picture in silence, he had forgotten clearly that Archie has Ethan eyes and Sophie's sand brown short hair.
"I'll do my best." Jonathan said and took a jacket on the coat rack.
"Murray, can you drive slower? This headache won't leave me alone." Kate asked weakly leaning to the window, eyes halfway open.
"Sorry Kate, but this is a limited speed. Heads up." He said and they drove on the speed bump.
"I swear to god that this will be my last headache." Kate mumbled painfully while holding her head.
"Just one speed bump ahead, then it's over." Sly tried to comfort her from the front seat, but felt Kate's eyes on his neck.
"Thanks." she mumbled dryly.
On Kate's right side, Bentley has focused on the video, which his drone has filmed. He had watched a video on his tablet and sent a message to Penelope, telling her what had happened in the castle to Kit and Kate.
Vexen and Kit sat on the last seat, where they talked lowered voices, so the talking won't bother Bentley or Kate.
"How's your hand?" Vexen asked from Kit, who wiped away her last tears.
"Still hurts, but not that much." Kit answered, when Murray drove again to the speed bump, where Kate answered hissing and putting her eyes tighter together.
When they arrived to the cottage, Julia opened the door and walked closer to them.
"You won't believe what we found in the library."
They saw how Julia tried to keep herself calm, but her eyes sparkled about curiosity, but when she saw Kate's situation, the curiosity disappeared in a blink.
"I'll pass." Kate mumbled, leaning to the van.
"Oh, right, I heard about that."
Julia let Kate go ahead inside, who mumbled that she goes to the rest of their bedroom. After Kate had left, they saw how Julia looked now worried.
"Don't worry, Kate will be herself sooner than you know." Murray comforted the youngest one, who kept looking after Kate.
"Do- do you mind that I stay outside, just for a while?" Julia asked and they saw how she drummed her feet on the ground.
"It's fine, let us know if you go somewhere." Bentley said and followed Kate inside, Murray and Kit following him.
Vexen looked at Julia who sat on the bench, on the other side of the road, who tried to stop her leg shaking.
When Vexen was Carmelita, she saw many people in different situations coming to the police station. Someone might get lost in a city or run away from their homes. Or worse, kidnapped.
Those people have been so different. Someone had cried or just been quiet, because they had been scared or screamed so much that they had lost their voice.
"Vexen, you okay?" Sly asked and walked close to her.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," she answered, but actually wasn't sure about that. Vexen turns to look at Sly smiling harmlessly.
"How about I talk to her and after that, we go get some food?"
"Sounds good, I'm going to tell the others." Sly answered and walked inside.
