Jonathan walked inside to the police station and showed his badge to the workers and explained that he's been waiting.

"Her office is right over there, just behind those desks."

Jonathan thanked the worker who opened the door from him. Just as he stepped inside, two teenagers passed him.

The squirrel boy had a black hood on top of his head and looked dryly at Jonathan.

"What?"

This wasn't the first time for Jonathan, when someone has spoken rudely to him and it will not be the last time either.

Behind the boy came another squirrel who was a girl. She took a new expensive smartphone in her hands, which the police took away from her.

"Wha- hey, give it back!" she shouted and was going to take that, but the police put the phone in his pocket.

"You got this later." Police told her calmly, where the girl snarled and rolled her eyes.

Jonathan looked at them for a while and shook his head. He was going to take a step, but almost hit the third teenager.

The girl bowed as an apology and walked quickly away from the situation, while the police walked near her, without holding her like those two others.

Jonathan's mind came to that lynx human who he saw in France, but this one was a rabbit. The girl had her hood on top of her head like that boy, but she looked nervous or anxious.

"Jonathan Winthrop?" A woman asked, while walking closer to him.

Jonathan looked behind him and saw a female snow leopard, who had turquoise eye color, short dark brown hair and was around Jonathan's age.

She had a casual outfit on. An orange blouse, black jeans and brown boots.

"Yes, that's me." Jonathan said and showed his badge.

"I'm detective Shanoli Shantos." Shanoli introduces herself and shows a way to her private office.

The office looks normal to Jonathan's eyes. Shanoli poured water from them while Jonathan sat on the chair.

"Alright," Shanoli said and they sat on the chairs.

"Your boss called me earlier and told me about you, and the situation. I'm sorry for what happened to your relative."

"Archie would never do something like this." Jonathan made sure and showed a picture to Shanoli.

"What kind of relationship Archie has to his parents?" Shanoli asked and gave the picture back to Jonathan.

"What are you talking about?" he asked and looked at Shanoli, who looked at him confused.

"I already told you that Archie wouldn't do something like that. He carries his phone and leaves a note behind him, just in case."

Shanoli blinked her eyes and apologized again.

"I'm sorry, I should pay more attention. There was a situation with those teenagers, before you came." Shanoli said and raised her hand behind the teenagers.

Jonathan looked behind him and noticed a social worker talking to the police.

"Since you are the officer, I can tell this for you," Shanoli had read his mind and walked to the door and closed that.

While she walked back, Shanoli started to explain everything to Jonathan.

"That taller girl and boy steal one of the groceries. That girl took a huge jar and a few items in her hand, when they 'slipped' to the floor. While the worker and the girl cleaned -'apologizing for her clumsiness'-, the boy took some money from the cash register. We found them later, but they hadn't any idea about those monies."

"And that third one, what about her?" Jonathan asked, where Shanoli explained that she was an eyewitness.

"Oh, she was a jogger, who saw them leaving the store," Shanoli explained to him and fixed her sitting and opened her computer.

"But now, we focus on finding your relative."
