"Tell me… What the hell happened in detail?", Vermouth said slowly and coldly, as she stared at the TV, the glass of vermouth in her hand.

"Look, I'm busy, and Masumi is watching me like a hawk and-".

"Afraid of a teenage girl? Are you kidding me right now?", She scoffed and before he could answer, she dialed a number she hadn't contacted in some time while thinking about what just happened.

Her effect from this wasn't just because she cared about Ran, but also because she was a criminal. She was no different than the mastermind behind this, nor were the Organization members.

They had done such things and worse, and Vermouth had mercilessly killed countless people before, orphaning Jodie was a notable example.

She felt nothing from her actions, but when she saw someone, she cared about suffering from things similar she could've done, her angel, she realized what a monster she was.

She hated herself at that moment and promised herself that when this was all over, she'd help the FBI and NPA SB to take down the Organization, and then she'd hand herself over.

"Sharon…", Yukiko sighed once she answered the phone, "I'm so glad you called me, I was about to call you to ask for help…".

"I know, I've seen the fights.", Vermouth said as she rubbed her temples, trying to calm herself down.

"You know how much that girl means to me, Sharon…", Yukiko mumbled.

"You don't know how much she means to me too…", Vermouth sighed, "Tell me in detail what you know from the beginning, so I can see what I can do.".

Feeling stressed from the people around him, and the looks he kept on receiving from those who knew him as Shinichi, Conan went up to his old room and locked the door, before he sat at his desk, thinking in silence about what he should do next.

His thoughts were interrupted by Heiji calling him and he answered, "What?".

"None of da best fighters in Osaka were invited ta dis…", Heiji said before he sighed, "I saw da fight… how's everythin'?".

"What do you think? Everyone is stressed after what they had just seen, and let's not talk about the parents…", Conan scoffed.

"What are ya gonna do now?", Heiji asked.

"Haibara already checked the social media, people of Ran and Makoto's age were not invited but others were, with 64 missing and-".

"WHAT?!!", Kogoro's cry of horror made Conan's eyes widen before he hopped, opened the door, and rushed downstairs.

"What is it?!", He cried, especially once he saw the grim looks on everyone's faces while Eri and Hana had gone even paler.

"The Police… found in that building… in its remains…remains of Human Dead bodies… they suspect they were hidden in the above floors.", Kogoro said in horror as he ended the call with Megure.

Conan's eyes widened while Heiji said in a grave tone, having heard what Kogoro just said, "I'm comin' ta Beika tomorrow, Kazuha will be with me.".

'What… What kind of sick maniac are we dealing with?!', Conan mentally cursed.

Conan ended the call silently as he turned to Masumi who said, "We need to find out who the other fighters are and start seeing the connection between them. The ones alive at least, since the police will have a hard time gathering the remains of the dead ones.".

"Give the kid a medal.", Amuro scoffed mockingly, and Masumi frowned at him.

"Got a better idea?!", She hissed.

Amuro crossed his arms before he said, "We need to know from the TV channels how is this being aired, and we need to know how the letters were sent.".

Masumi raised an eyebrow before she scoffed, "I'm not wrong though, there is a chance Ran and Makoto were targeted for whatever reason.".

"I didn't say you were wrong.", Amuro pointed out with a slight smirk.

Realizing that he was correct, Masumi frowned at him heavily before she protruded her tongue out.

"I'm going to figure out who you are.", She hissed at him with a low voice so no one could hear them.

Amuro smirked at her, "Really? Good luck then, Tantei-chan.".

Subaru raised his eyebrows at the interaction, not understanding what was going on.

Meanwhile, Jodie looked back and forth between them and smirked for a second, 'I can feel the tension from my place here.'.

"Let's hope we actually do something, considering we have this drunk retard with us.", Minato spat in hate at Kogoro:

Kogoro growled, "You think I'm glad we are working together?! If it weren't for Ran and Kyogoku, I wouldn't be here.".

"Please… both of you calm down…", Hana said as she stood between both men, "I know you never saw eye to eye before in the police force, but for the sake of our children, ignore our problems.".

"Already doing so, remind your husband.", Kogoro spat.

"You-", Minato aimed to lunge at Kogoro but Haruka wrapped her arms around his right arm, holding him back.

Minato looked at his daughter angrily but he calmed down once he saw the tears in her eyes, "Please don't do anything… for Makoto's sake…".

Minato remained silent before he grumbled, "Fine.".

Yukiko, who was standing further with Vermouth on the phone, raised an eyebrow at the interactions she had just seen before she turned to her phone once she heard Vermouth sigh exasperated.

"The last thing we need now is Bourbon and Sera's stupid tension, and the past issues of Mouri and Kyogoku …", Vermouth grumbled.

Yukiko coughed to hide her snickering at Vermouth's first comment before she asked, "Did you hear what Kogoro said?".

"I've heard everything. I'll start investigating with my underworld connections.", Vermouth said darkly, "Something tells me… this has something to do with the dark web.".

At the mention of the dark web, Yukiko's eyes widened in horror, knowing from her husband how that part of the internet was beyond horrific from what was being done in it.

"We'll bring her back.", Vermouth assured Yukiko, knowing that the mention of the dark web made the woman go silent.

Yukiko nodded slowly as she mumbled, "Be careful, Sharon.".

"I'll talk to you later when I find something.", Vermouth said before Yukiko ended the call.

The Kygoku family, Sonoko, Eri, and Kogoro left the Kudou Manor since there was nothing that could be done for today, but Eri decided that she would return with Kogoro back to the agency, as she couldn't live alone during the circumstances they were facing.

"Sera-san-", Agasa started.

"Forget it, I'm not leaving this manor, I know half of what you know anyways, so I'm in this.", Masumi said stubbornly.

"Sera-san, you-", Subaru did not get to finish his sentence.

SLAP!

For Masumi had slapped him right onto the cheek with all of her might, tearing off his mask, and then she growled, "Consider this my thank you for protecting me because you faked your goddamn death, and left me in the shadows…".

Masumi's actions made everyone look at her with wide eyes in disbelief, while Subaru slowly turned his head back, opening his eyes, but the guilt and sadness in them did not change her anger.

"Masumi… How did you…".

"I… am not… goddamn STUPID!", Masumi cried at the top of her lungs, the stress of Ran missing making her act irrationally.

"What's going on…?", Haibara asked suspiciously, once she saw that Agasa, Conan, and the Kudo parents already knew what Masumi was talking about.

"He's Akai Shuichi.", Amuro said. Seeing that he had a chance to ruin the latter's life, Amuro decided to expose his identity.

Jodie frowned at this before she pointed at him and said, "And he's Rei Furuya from the NPA SB, and he tried to hand Shu over to raise his ranks in the Organization, not caring that it would've killed Shu and Hondou, also known as Kir, the CIA agent who helped Shu fake his death.".

Amuro frowned at Jodie before he turned around once he felt Masumi glaring daggers at him, and the latter grabbed him from his shirt.

"You…", She growled.

"I did what was right in my point of view, my agency's point of view.", Amuro replied coldly.

"Oh, so we are all lying and hurting each other to protect each other?", Haibara spat bitterly, directing her speech at Conan and Subaru, knowing the first was the mastermind behind this, behind letting the man she hated the most live next to her.

Conan, however, was not having it.

"Weren't you the one who fake threatened me with a gun so I don't tell Ran the truth? You have no right to comment on this!", Conan hissed.

"Oh! So, you want everyone you know to experience what Ran is experiencing? How mature.", Haibara countered coldly.

Yukiko frowned at the scene before she cried, "THAT'S ENOUGH!".

Her cry diffused the anger the group had towards each other, and they turned to face her.

"I understand we all dislike or are mad at each other for different understandable reasons, but can we please work together to save Ran-chan and Kyogoku-san?", Yukiko scolded them in a motherly tone, making Masumi let go of Amuro.

"And you all should control your nerves, this way, the whole story will be exposed. It won't be trouble if Mouri and Kisaki knew since they might be helpful in our situation, the issue is with the Kyogoku family and Sonoko.", Yusaku added.

"Hattori is coming with Toyama, let's hope he doesn't expose my identity. And I heard Haruka call Hondou Eisuke, he too knows who I am.", Conan mumbled.

"It's a miracle how the Organization didn't find you, you suck at protecting your identity.", Haibara grumbled while side-eyeing Conan, refusing to look him fully in the face, and ignoring Subaru's existence.

Conan ignored her before he looked at his mother, "Who were you talking to by the way?".

"I…", Yukiko paused as she glanced at Jodie and Subaru, making the first look at her curiously before she continued, "… spoke to Sharon.".

"Sharon?", Jodie raised an eyebrow quizzically at the name before realization dawned on her and her face darkened, "You've got to be kidding me…".

"She's not, Vermouth ended her call with me when I didn't answer her about what was happening, she saw everything on TV.", Amuro answered before he rubbed his temples, "Looks like my identity to her will be exposed, if I'm not careful.".

"You sound at ease while working with a murderer.", Jodie said coldly.

"I've been undercover in this Organization for two years so I got used to it but that doesn't mean I like it. That Organization got my best friend killed, whom you failed to save!", Amuro spat the last sentence at Akai before he turned to Jodie, "And before you say anything about loss. I grew up an orphan and the only woman who showed me kindness is dead, and so is her elder daughter… And my other 3 best friends were all killed… So, no one in this room knows loss better than me…".

"Best friend…", Masumi trailed off before she recalled the third man, the guy who taught her bass guitar four years ago when she saw her brother and Amuro at the train station.

She looked at Amuro as she asked in disbelief, "Scotch?".

Amuro nodded, refusing to look at her, to hide the sadness in his eyes, "His real name was Morofushi Hiromitsu…".

Jodie said nothing about his story while Yusaku just sighed, as he knew keeping this group together without going at each other's throats was going to be hard.

"If Vermouth can help, then I don't see why we shouldn't let her, she's a criminal so she might know something from other criminals.", Masumi spoke up, changing the subject.

Amuro looked at her with a small grateful smile, and she slightly blushed, before she looked away, reminding herself that she was still mad about him trying to hand Shuichi over, even if she wanted to kill Shuichi.

"How do you…", Conan asked surprised.

"She gave the poison to my mother, who has shrunk like you.", Masumi explained before she raised an eyebrow, "Don't tell me you didn't figure that out with all the clues I gave you?".

"No, no, I did…", Conan nodded.

"And Haibara is right, you suck at hiding your identity, Holmes Apprentice.", Masumi smirked.

Conan looked away embarrassed as Masumi quickly retold everyone the tale of how she met him and Ran at the beach, and how he said that nickname again during the Wimbledon match on TV, and that's how she and Mary figured it out.

"You've gotta be kidding me, Kudou…", Haibara mumbled as she rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache forming from this.

"So… Conan… is your son, Kudou Shinichi?", Jodie asked Yukiko confused.

"Yes, that all happened due to my son's stupidity and recklessness.", Yukiko said dryly.

"So… that means Kudou here and Ran are your first friends.", Amuro deduced.

"Why do you think I'm overprotective of them?", Masumi nodded with a smile, showing her sharp tooth.

'Cute…', Amuro thought before he shook his head, 'Wait, where did that come from?!'.

Agasa coughed, "Now that we truly have our issues resolved or ignored, can we return to the investigation?".

"What did Vermouth tell you?", Shuichi asked Yukiko.

"Only that she'll contact me when she finds any useful information, but she said she had a feeling that it could be related to the dark web.", Yukiko said.

Everyone in the room nearly stopped breathing for a second at Vermouth's feeling, but none of them could find in their mind anything that could deny this or prove it wrong.

If Vermouth's words were true, then Makoto and Ran's time in the world is truly limited.
