Obi-Wan turned to go after Baylan, he was a threat as long as he knew anything about Luke. Unfortunately, an absolutely enraged Owen stood between him and the door. To a certain extent, Obi-Wan understood the fury coming from the other man. For a moment there it really looked as though Baylan was going to strike at the boy for some reason. The whole reason Obi-Wan was on Tatooine was to ensure Luke wouldn't be harmed or discovered and he failed. However, Owen was not blameless in this scenario either like the man seemed to believe. Obi-Wan had given clear instructions to Owen to take the boy off planet immediately. Despite having initially disagreed, he would have assumed Owen grasped the severity of the situation. Instead, he brought Luke right to the mysterious man whose motives were still unclear.

Owen looked back in Luke's direction, "Luke, I need you to wait outside before we go back home."

"But we just got here, and I didn't get to look at any of the cool droids." Luke complained clearly having looked forward to this trip for a while now.

Owen glared at him, "Yeah, well that was before you decided to cut the line and meddle in other people's lives. Maybe not seeing any cool new droids will be a good lesson for you not to do that again. I won't ask you again, wait outside."

"Yes sir..." Luke mumbled with his head low marching to mope on a bench just outside the shop.

Obi-Wan folded his arms in his robe in disapproval, "He's just a boy Owen. There's no need to be so harsh with him."

Owen glared right back at him, "I wouldn't need to be so harsh with him if you did your job! That man was going to kill him."

Obi-Wan took a deep calming breath, "I was doing my job. Trying to find out why the former Jedi Master was here. I told you to leave the planet like we previously agreed in situations like this."

Owen wasn't getting any less angry with that explanation, "And I've told you on multiple occasions I'm not going to uproot my family unless we know Imperials are coming. What if this Jedi was a friend of yours and we burned down our farm for nothing?"

Obi-Wan stood firmly not going to give Owen any slack, "Owen, not all of the Imperials travel in Star Destroyers across the galaxy. If I tell you to follow the plan, you need to do it. Or have you forgotten how important Luke is?"

A part of Obi-Wan was frustrated that the two of them even needed to have this conversation. Luke was potentially the last chance the entire galaxy had to be free once again, did losing that chance truly equate to losing a farm? However, he had to remember Owen was from Tatooine, it was the only thing he had ever known. Jedi, Sith, and prophecy meant very little to a man trying to provide enough moisture for his family in the upcoming seasonal harvest. His ignorance could cost the galaxy greatly though if Obi-Wan didn't keep pushing him. Whether either of them liked it or not, his mandate was to protect Luke and train him into becoming a Jedi capable of destroying the Emperor.

"I know how important you think he is, but no one man is going to be able to take down the Empire. Even with special powers." Owen declared as though the galaxy boiled down to simple mathematics.

Obi-Wan felt the need to defend the Jedi Order out of instinct, "It isn't that simple, as a Jedi Luke will inspire billions to take up arms. If you only allowed me to train him-"

Owen cut him off with a skeptical eyebrow raise, "Like you trained his father? The chosen one that was supposed to make everything right? Look how well that turned out. The responsibility for an entire galaxy cannot rest on one person's shoulders. It isn't healthy."

"That isn't fair Owen, Anakin was being manipulated his entire life by Palpatine." Obi-Wan tried to defend himself again.

Owen spoke before he could continue again, "Who's responsibility was it to make sure that didn't happen? You can make all the excuses you want but at the end of the day you failed Anakin. As far as I'm concerned you failed Luke today with whoever that other Jedi was. Why do you think you have the right to keep endangering this family?"

Obi-Wan let out a gentle sigh feeling like he was ramming his skull into a brick wall, "You aren't telling me anything I haven't already thought about already Owen. The truth is if you would allow me to train him, I could teach him how to avoid danger."

Owen folded his arms while shaking his head, "No, because once you start you won't be able to stop yourself from teaching him more. Like how to use a lightsaber, how to fight in a war, how to kill someone without caring about the consequences. I won't have it."

"Would you really take away the galaxy's last opportunity to defeat the Sith? To allow generations of beings to live in fear?" Obi-Wan asked unable to accept Owen was that selfish.

"Do you know how much the Jedi Order has already taken from this family?" When Obi-Wan shook his head Owen went on, "My mother-in-law lost her son because a Jedi said he was destined for greatness. Abandoning one of the only people she ever loved because she thought she was doing the right thing. Then ten years later when she was finally happy with my father, she got kidnapped because of her connection to a Jedi. My dad lost his legs trying to save her because the Jedi surely weren't going to. Both of them died in a week of each other for different reasons but, can link them both to Jedi. And now, you have the nerve to ask to train my son for the same reason?"

Obi-Wan let slip the first thing to come to his mind despite being problematic, "He isn't your son Owen."

He could tell the man considered punching him settling for a glare, "Heismine in all the ways that matter. Which is why I'm only going to ask you this once. Leave me and my family alone. I am not going to allow you to hurt this family any longer."

"Owen-" Obi-Wan tried to get him to stop from turning around.

Owen merely marched out of the shop to collect Luke, "C'mon, we're going home."

"But what if I go in and apologize?" Luke pleaded saddened by the early end to his day off.

Owen shook his head motioning for him to get up, "Beru is going to need help with making the Bantha salad for the week and that sounds like a perfect thing for you to help with."

Obi-Wan considered going out there to tell Luke the truth to force Owen's hand though he stayed where he was. This wasn't the first time the two of them had this conversation since Jedi training started at an early age. However, most of the time Beru was around to act as a neutral party hearing both sides of the argument. Plus, the other arguments hadn't started after a tense interaction with a mysterious stranger that could've hurt them. He was willing to wait Owen out until the stubborn man realized training Luke was essential. Qui Gon continued to ask him to trust in the force, Obi-Wan saw no reason not to listen to his former master. At least as long as Luke wasn't in immediate danger.

His first instinct was to try to catch up to Baylan to eliminate him. Despite being a Jedi Master, no one was supposed to know Luke was force sensitive under his protection. His odd behavior with the droid and his lost Padawan told Obi-Wan that Baylan wasn't going to be a threat. Baylan's destiny had very little to do with this current moment in time. However, the inquisitor that marooned Baylan here was someone Obi-Wan could worry about in the here and now. Vader wouldn't come here for one dead inquisitor, he hated the planet too much for that, but he might come for the story they had to share. Obi-Wan was going to have to cast his force presence outwards as bait. Surely an inquisitor would come after the Obi-Wan Kenobi as a prize.

"Chatin ujha idad?" The Jawa next to him impatiently asked reminding him that he was in a store.

Obi-Wan rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "No I'm sorry, I wasn't planning on buying anything today."

The Jawa kept pointing to him followed by the door, "Ejha, ejha, ejha!"

Obi-Wan left the store looking around the block for somewhere to wait for this inquisitor. If Baylan was telling the truth about their previous confrontation, the inquisitor was injured as well as hiding from Vader. They would want to be somewhere crowded where they could treat a wound without raising any eyebrows. Even on a normal day that wouldn't narrow locations on Tatooine down, unfortunately, the Boonta Eve was only going to make that search worse. He had never seen Mos Eisley so crowded with such a wide range of beings in the middle of the roadway. It was going to be impossible to run a speeder through the road without hurting someone which was going to slow the inquisitor down. Ultimately, Obi-Wan decided to go to the cantina figuring the sporting events would provide cover for an inquisitor to lick their wounds alone.

Although he kept his eyes out for anything suspicious on the way there, Obi-Wan didn't see anything out of the ordinary until he walked into the entrance of the cantina. A small BD series scout droid stood at the top step as though waiting for its owner to leave the cantina. He personally hadn't seen a BD droid since his early days as a Padawan visiting ancient Jedi Temples with Qui Gon. The droids were normally used to catalogue discoveries at archaeology sites for later review. What would an archaeologist be doing all the way out here in the middle of nowhere? His heart jumped into his throat when he bent down to see a Jedi Order firebird symbol on the side of the droid signaling it was once property of the Jedi Order.

"Beep weep deet?" The droid asked, scanning him with its photo receptors.

Obi-Wan smiled patting it on the head like a small child, "Why hello there little one. What has taken you so far from home?"

A young voice spoke to him from the bottom of the stairs, "Hey, stay away from my...I can't believe it. Master Kenobi?"
