Midoriya yelled, "Uraraka, get to where the bomb is!" Uraraka nodded and started running. Bakugou ignored Uraraka, hand lit, all aimed at Midoriya. He gritted his teeth as he knocked her hand away. She swiftly used her other hand to bring forth an already-made explosion.

Midoriya widened his eyes in surprise at the surprise attack. He tried activating his Recall power, but she was too fast. He let out a gasp, but otherwise remained silent. He jumped away, eyes focused on the broken wall Bakugou flew through.

He managed to duck her next punch and touched her arm, activating the Recall power just in time. He ran to the broken pieces of the wall and gathered as many as he could. With ten seconds of the timer of Recall to spare, he activated Ascend and flew through the ceiling of the first floor.

…..

Bakugou stumbled, gasping in surprise. One minute Deku's stupid face was right in front of her, the next gone! She growled at what she figured just happened. The loser used that same power he used on Iida in the test on her!

She growled and began running! He would never escape her!

"You've been tricking me all this time, you idiot! You acted like the typical male for years by acting like the lamb to the slaughter! But all you did was laugh at me behind my back!"

She refused to acknowledge the hint of pain in her own voice.

….

Midoriya was filled with anger! All he ever did was admire her; he practically worshipped the ground she walked on when they were kids! What did he ever do to make her think something ridiculous like that?!

He didn't make any noise as he wordlessly used Fuse to turn the broken pieces of wall into a club.

…..

In the observation room, the spiky red-haired girl shook her head at the display the blonde was showing. "Bakugou, what are you doing?! Talking bad about males while fighting one-what an unmanly tactic!"

The black-haired ponytail girl spoke up, "To be fair, you have to use anything you can while fighting an opponent. If it means harming them in their psyche, if it saves lives, you do anything you can."

The spiky blonde with the black stripe on one of her bangs groaned, "Bakugou is super talented…and better than me…"

…..

Iida clicked onto her earpiece…again. Bakugou has been stubborn and arrogant. And she only had eyes for Midoriya! Has she forgotten she was supposed to be defending the bomb from both opponents?!

How was someone as nice and soft-hearted like Midoriya ever be friends with someone like that?

Well…they say opposites attract *sigh* …even though the saying is usually about love…

"Stop! Don't distract yourself with thoughts of your classmates! You're a villain-embrace the very art of villainy!" She let out a few evil chuckles, letting her upper body lean very heavily to the right. She lowered her voice to an alto.

"Now that I have this bomb, I will be the queen of Japan! Mwahahahahaaaa!"

A quiet giggle interrupted her monologue. "URARAKA! I knew that was you!" A quiet squeak was heard and the brunette hesitantly walked out from behind one of the columns.

"I knew that your quirk was Gravity from the very start! As you can see, there is nothing that you can use against me, rendering your quirk absolutely useless! How the mighty have fallen, Hero! Mwahahahahahaha!"

Uraraka's brown eyes were a mixture of bewilderment and amusement. "She's…really playing a part…"

Midoriya gripped his club in his hands, carefully contemplating his next move. Bakugou's footsteps were slowly getting louder. He looked at the transparent form of the Sage of Water beside him. The dolphin-like man gave him a nod and held its arm out. The blue stone on its glove let out an aqua glow. A bubble of water surrounded Midoriya like a shield.

He took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. He got up from the wall and clutched the club to his chest. He felt a little safer with the water shield, but he knew Bakugou would land with another punch the moment her first punch broke it.

I have to get my water blade to hit her first, then I'll follow up with a hit from my club…and while she's distracted, I'll use Ascend to get away!

"Found you, Deku!"

Crap..!

He swiftly jumped away, but his water shield didn't. It broke on impact, surprising Bakugou. She held out her hand, Explosion aiming at where Midoriya was. A few hits got him but he barely paid attention-after all, he was used to being used at 'Target Practice' as a child. He grunted and continued running.

Bakugou let out a snarl and chased him.

"Ma'am, aren't you going to stop this? Bakugou is going to kill him!" The red-haired girl raised her voice at All Might, who was staring at the screen.

"…She's not trying to kill him, Young Kirishima. Maim him a little, yes, but not kill him." Kirishima grumbled, "It's still not right."

All Might clutched the mic that she was holding.

It's the truth that Bakugou is not trying to kill Midoriya, but he is struggling in this fight! He managed to get a quirk…somehow…and he hasn't got full control…but…I have to…let him have this! It would feel like a betrayal if I stop the fight now! He would think I have no faith in him…

For his sake, I'll let this continue a little longer…

…..

A purple-haired girl was looping one of her ears around her finger as she gazed at the fight. Her eyebrows raised when Midoriya curled his hand into a fist and a stream of fire flew out of it! A gasp was heard and she gazed toward the bi-color haired girl. The girl next to her, the high ponytailed girl turned to her.

"What's up Todoroki?" Todoroki just whispered, "He has two quirks…and one of them is…" The pony-tailed girl widened her coal-colored eyes and patted her back. "It's okay. You're not there. She can't hurt you now…"

The purple haired girl tilted her head and walked over. "Hi." The two girls nodded back.

"My name is Kyoka Jiro. What are your names?"

"I'm Momo Yaoyorozu and this is Xioko Todoroki." Jiro nodded, "Is she okay?" Yaoyorozu nodded, "She's fine. Just a little tired-first day and all."

"Hmm…" Jiro looked back at the screen, "It's kind of amazing that we have a male in our class, huh?"

Two scoffs interrupted the conversation and the trio of girls looked toward the two students in the back. One was invisible, adorned with gloves and shoes. The other was a girl wearing a samurai kimono; she had shoulder-length brownish-blonde hair, greenish-blue eyes with a beauty mark under her right eye, and a lions' tail was shown under some loose folds of the kimono. Knee-length stockings and sandals with laces crisscrossing up the knee to right under the kneecap completed the outfit.

Both of them shown the epitome of disgust at the reminder of the male, even though he had been fighting on the screen in front of them.

Jiro narrowed her eyes, "Something you want to say Hagakure? Mashirao?" The tailed girl, Mashirao scoffed.

"Yes. UA seems to be losing their…purity…with this boy being here." Hagakure yawned, "Yeah. I mean…males are nothing but fodder for us-only needed for breeding."

"Hagakure and Mashirao."

Both girls immediately lost their smug aura at the sound of All Mights' voice. The heroine turned to them and, even though she was smiling, her smile seemed forced.

"You know that UA is not tolerable for genderism here. One more comment like that and you are out of this exercise and going back to Aizawa where she will give you a far harsher punishment."

The girls looked down and muttered, "Sorry All Might." They seemed to deflate even more when the rest of their classmates glared at them.

All Might turned back to the fight.

…..

Uraraka gulped at Iida laughing. She subtly opened the comm on her earpiece, "Midoriya come in. I'm where the bomb is, but Iida took away anything that I could use. What should I do?"

The voice on the other line was panting, "D-don't worry Uraraka. We were prepared for this, remember? Just keep distracting her until I give you the signal!" Uraraka nodded. "Got it!"

A groan sounded. Uraraka quirked her eyebrows in concern. "Midoriya, are you okay?"

"I'm…ugh…fine. Focus on your end, okay?"

"…Okay." The comm turned off.

Midoriya managed to use Ascend to go up another floor. He gave the Sage of Water a pleading look. The avatar formed another shield of water around him, instantly cooling his burns. He sighed in relief at the cooling sensation.

"Where was this when I was a kid?" He summoned the Lightning Sage. The avatar knelt down beside him. "Okay. The moment she shows up, I'll throw this club and you'll cast a bolt at where it lands."

The avatar nodded wordlessly.

"Where are you, Deku?!"

Midoriya snapped to attention at Bakugou's voice. He closed his eyes to clear his mind.

….

Midoriya had his eyes closed. Rauru placed his hands on his shoulders. "One of the first things that I ingrain into my soldiers is to always keep a calm mind in the middle of battle."

The two of them were at the now-pristine beach, listening to the gentle billow of the waves. Rauru had the young man sitting down in a meditative pose, the wind gently ruffling his hair.

"And…that works?" Midoriya's cheeks pinkened at the fatherly chuckle.

"It's worked since I was a child. Just keep calm and the solutions will always find you."

…..

Midoriya stood up, still enshrouded in water. He began walking silently, his Avatars following him.
