Bakugou looked down at the pavement as she walked. She was utterly unprepared for what happened. All her life, she was told that she was the strongest. She was told that she would be a great Pro Heroine! But…they were all lies!

She was the bottom of the food chain today! Even lower than Deku!

"Kacchan!"

Speak of the devil. Bakugou stopped as she heard Deku's voice and footsteps getting louder. She slowly turned around, giving the green-haired boy a death glare.

"What?"

Midoriya stopped, an audible gasp of fright leaving him. Kacchan looked so different to him right now! She looked at him like he was the harbinger of her misery. He wrapped his arms around himself in comfort.

He felt the Sage of Time comfort him in his heart. The rest of the sages were behind him, giving him silent support.

"I…I'm not going to assume why you're acting like this, Kacchan. But…you're obviously hurt with the fact that I have a quirk. It-it was the truth that I was quirkless when we were little. A-and…it was the truth that I was quirkless in m-middle school. I wasn't hiding anything from you. My…this power…was given to me by someone else, recently."

Kacchan turned even more towards him, not speaking.

Midoriya took in a deep breath, "You probably won't believe who I got it from…so it's probably useless to tell you."

The Sage of Fire calmly placed a cyan hand on the middle of Midoriya's back. The warmth caused him to scrunch even tighter to himself.

"I never thought I was anything special Kacchan. I never thought that there was any reason why I was gifted something so precious. It was surreal…like a comic book. The only thing that lets me know it's real are the changes in my right arm and the gauntlet-like glove that came with it."

He held his arm out, gazing at the stones shining on it. They glowed in response. "I'll work hard until I get the hang of this gift that I was given…" He looked at her, "…and I'll finally beat you with my own power!"

The moment he finished talking, he knew he had made a big mistake. What did I do? What did I do? WhatdidIdo?! WhatdidIdo?!

"You really expect me to believe that Izuku?" Midoriya looked up in astonishment. Kacchan said his name! He wanted to smile, but…he knew that she was anything but happy.

"You just can't stop lying, can you? A power given to you? Don't be ridiculous! All you've ever done is lie to me! You are a male-meant to be a pebble on the road, like the rest of your gender! And you beat me…How is that even possible?!"

She abruptly turned around to face him, hands fisted. Midoriya was startled that there were tears forming in her eyes. She lowered her head, as if she couldn't look at him.

"And if that wasn't all, I realized how truly behind I am with all our classmates! That half-and-half witch…I realized that I wouldn't be able to beat her! All I've ever done since I've been here is make one mistake after another! I even agree with what that ponytail girl said about my move!" She growled loudly, her fists shaking.

"Enjoy that win, Deku!" She abruptly raised her head, tears free-falling down her face. Midoriya felt an unexpected urge to comfort her, but stayed where he was. "You won't get another! I'm just getting started! I'll be the Number One Heroine, no matter what!"

She turned around, but stopped when Midoriya yelled, "Not if I get to be the Number One Hero first!" She paused for a few seconds…then walked away. Midoriya swore to himself that a tiny grateful smile was on Kacchan's face.

….

Midoriya looked up at the night sky, a small smile on his face. All-in-all, he had a pretty good first day. It was a bit tough, but he got to meet his Hero, his Inspired Hero (even though she is a jerk), and a bunch of his classmates didn't hate him (although he felt heated eyes on the back of his head from Hagakure and Mashirao (how he was able to feel Hagakure's eyes on him when she was invisible, he'll never know)).

Rauru apparated beside him, giving him a small smile. "You seem to be in a good mood, young man." Midoriya looked up at his teacher. "I was in UA today-the school of my dreams! And I passed the test that kept me there."

Rauru gave him a confused look, "I thought you did that during the Entrance Exam?" Midoriya muttered, "My teacher tried to expel me today because I am a male. But I beat the contestants she placed before me and she couldn't find a reason to expel me."

Rauru sighed heavily and sat down beside him. He wrapped an arm around Midoriya, letting out comforting purrs. Midoriya couldn't help but relax. He didn't feel the weight of the arm, but he felt the warmth. He sighed and closed his eyes, being mindful of the fact that Rauru wasn't solid.

Is this…what a father feels like?

Midoriya sighed to himself-he knew his father loved him and would be with here if he could, but he couldn't help but want more.

"Rauru, sir. Can I ask you something…about the Time Mage?" Rauru smiled, "Of course, young man."

"She is one of the Sages, but she's not physically with me like the other Sages are. You told me that she was a dragon. Is it…is it possible for me to see her?" Rauru hesitated.

"There…is a way. But we need a bigger space."

…..

On Dagobah Beach, Midoriya and Rauru stood beside each other. Rauru gave him an intense look, "Do you remember what the Time Sage looked like-how different she was from the rest of the Sages?"

Midoriya nodded, "She was big and made entirely out of light. She had the shape of a dragon." Rauru nodded. "Yes. She is a dragon, but she is made entirely of light. She had to train inside her Spirit Stone so that she would be able to go out in public. And she had told me earlier that she had succeeded."

Midoriya blinked, "What do you mean 'go out in public'? No one is going to be able to see her, right?"

Rauru gently shook his head, his white hair flowing with the movement. "No. She'll be completely visible to everyone." He gently took Midoriya's hand and placed his palm against the Sage of Time Sacred Stone.

"Zelda. You can come out now. Please join us and greet Midoriya, your Hero and Friend."

A musical yell and then a small dragon about the size of a ruler flew out of the Time Stone. Midoriya felt his green eyes fill with tears. She was so beautiful!

Her scales were a beautiful silver and had diamond-shaped tips. She had a blonde mane, crystal horns, and aqua colored stones were growing out of her back and around her tail. Her eyes were a mix of purple and she had golden eyelashes. Her talons were sharp and her nails were the same shade as his left arm.

The dragon looked at Midoriya with motherly love and landed on his outstretched hands. She crooned and laid upside down, rubbing the top of her mane against his palm. Midoriya giggled; she reminded him of a puppy.

Rauru continued, "She can grow or shrink at will. Want to go for a ride?" Midoriya looked up at Rauru with sparkles in his eyes.

He deflated quickly, "But, if she's a part of my power I won't be able to fly her. Quirks outside of UA is banned."

Rauru chuckled quietly, "She has trained for 10,000 years. She can make herself and her rider invisible. You both won't be seen." The dragon, Zelda, jumped off Midoriya's hands and landed on the floor. She closed her eyes and the dragon began to glow.

Slowly the dragon grew, taking Midoriya up into the air. Midoriya gasped and giggled as his surroundings got farther away below. By the time she finished growing, she was the size of the Chinese dragons that existed in folklore. Once she was the size that she wanted, Zelda emitted cyan colored sparkles.

Midoriya let out a sigh of awe as she did so. Rauru spoke up, "That was her using her cloaking ability. You and her are unseen to the naked eye."

Zelda gently flew up from the ground and into the air. Midoriya yelled in delight, looking at the stars and moon in the sky. Rauru looked up from the ground, his eyes softening at the happy child.

You'll be a great hero in the future, Young Izuku. But don't forget to be a child now.

He continued to watch the boy as he flew on Zelda.
