Midoriya boarded the bus. Class 1-A was going to the USJ for special training. They were going to meet with Pro Hero Thirteen and Midoriya was very excited. He just hoped she wasn't one of the heroes who looked down on males.
He looked around the seats until he spotted who he was looking for: Aoyama. She was sitting by herself at the far end of the bus. He took in a deep breath and walked over to where she was. Aoyama looked up from her book and gave him a smile.
"Ah, Bonjour Mon Ami. Want to sit down?" Midoriya nodded, "I'd appreciate that, thank you." He sat down, trying to figure out how to talk to her. He took a deep breath and turned to face her.
"Hey, Aoyama. There is something I would like to know if that's okay." The French girl giggled. "Of course, garcon. What is it?"
"The other day, when there was an intruder…I noticed our classmates and well…you looked kind of nervous and guilty…was there a reason?"
Aoyama stilled for a few seconds before she smiled again, "I don't know what you're trying to say, but- "
Midoriya rapidly shook his head, "I'm not accusing you or anything. It's just-you looked like you needed help. If there's anything bothering you, I'm always here to listen." Aoyama's smile looked so fake, Midoriya was expecting it to crumble into dust any second.
"…I- "
"Hey Midoriya-chan!"
Asui's voice interrupted the conversation, causing the strange tension to vanish. Midoriya turned toward the green-haired girl.
"I'm just wondering about your arm? Do you have a parent who displays more animal traits?"
He shook his head, "No. Both parents look human."
Asui nodded, "I'm just asking. My father looks almost exactly like a frog, so I was just curious, ribbit."
Midoriya smiled, "Your dad looks like a frog? That's so cool Asui-san."
The girl gave him a mock frown, "Just call me Tsu."
He nodded.
The red-head girl, Kirishima, turned to him. "So you getting a quirk-that must've been a shock, huh?"
Midoriya nodded, "Yeah. I was diagnosed as quirkless, don't get me wrong. But, it developed late, right before the exam actually."
His teacher spoke up, "If you had mentioned that earlier, I wouldn't have been as hard on you as I was, Mr. Midoriya."
Uraraka muttered, "Somehow, I doubt that." Aizawa narrowed her eyes at the girl, but decided not to speak. Midoriya turned back to Aoyama to continue the conversation but the seat beside him was empty. He looked over and saw her sitting beside Sato. He sighed.
Maybe I should leave her alone. I know something is wrong, but she's not going to answer any questions. I'll talk to her again later
Kaminari spoke up, "Say, Midoriya. I have to ask: What's the deal with you and Bakugou?"
Midoriya looked at Kaminari in puzzlement, "What do you mean?"
Kaminari smirked and gestured to the explosive girl, "I mean, you're so sweet and shy and Bakugou has the personality of a short-tempered gremlin."
Midoriya frowned, "I don't think that's nice, Kaminari."
Bakugou turned to Midoriya, "Shut up, Deku! I don't need you to defend me!" Midoriya sighed and summoned Zelda quietly. The dragon turned into the size of a house cat and curled into Midoriya's lap. The greenette ran a gentle hand down the silver scales. He gasped as he heard a little sound, like something breaking off.
He looked at his hand and there was an aqua colored shard. It looked like one of those shiny rocks that kids could collect in the museum gift shop. He swiftly moved his hand to the upper-right, summoning his camera. He took a picture of the shard and an entry in his Compendium shown up.
The Light Dragon Aqua Shard:
It emits out a healing glow.
Can be connected to weapons or be crushed into dust for healing areas.
When connected to a weapon, it would heal the wielder with every hit they give the enemy.
Midoriya smiled, "That should be useful." He put the Aqua Shard in his pocket.
"Now kids, we're here at the destination. Please follow me in a straight line."
Midoriya quietly dismissed Zelda and followed his classmates out of the bus.
…
Kaminari grinned to herself, "Ms. Aizawa said we were going to the USJ. Is this Universal Studios Japan?"
Kirishima elbowed her good-naturedly, "I doubt it is. There would be a whole lot more people."
Uraraka turned toward Midoriya, "This is so exciting, Midoriya! Our first on-the-job training! I wonder who the hero we're going to be talking to is."
Midoriya smiled, "Well, whoever it is, I bet they're going to be impressive." He looked down, "I just hope my gender won't be an issue." Uraraka frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"It shouldn't be an issue. We're all humans-no gender is better than the other." She grinned, "And besides, you have a quirk! I believe that males in the future might have quirks too!"
A quiet voice interrupted the duo, "I…believe so too." Both turned to see Mineta behind them. She turned to Midoriya and bowed her head, "I-I'm Murasaki Mineta. I-I wanted to apologize for making you uncomfortable during the assessment test. When I was a child, I was…horrible to men. I saw them as only playthings. Uraraka was the one that got me help. I'm trying my best t-to be better, but I fall short s-sometimes. If it's okay with you, I-I would like to be friends…"
Uraraka gaped, "But I got you in trouble and sent to the facility." Mineta looked up and gave a weak smile.
"It was what I needed. If it hadn't happened, I would be…not myself. I'll be forever grateful for that."
A bunch of the young women hearing the conversation looked down guiltily, feeling ashamed that they just blew up on the girl rather than understanding her. Kaminari gave Mineta a friendly smile.
Midoriya's green eyes softened and he placed a hand on her shoulder, "It takes a lot of courage to admit that Mineta. I would love to be your friend."
Mineta's purple eyes widened, then softened. A bashful blush appeared on her cheeks, "Thank you, Midoriya."
"Okay girls (and Midoriya)! This is Pro Hero Thirteen. She is the one who is going to be the instructor for this exercise." She turned to her fellow Pro, who was wearing a hero suit that looked just like an astronaut. Kaminari giggled and looked at Uraraka.
"Look, Twinsies!"
Uraraka giggled and rubbed the back of her head, face the representation of a tomato.
Thirteen had her helmet turned toward Midoriya, "Hello Mr. Midoriya. I have to say, hearing that a male had a quirk was shocking, but not unwelcomed. I look forward to how your hero journey turns out."
Midoriya rubbed the back of his head bashfully. "T-thank y-y-you T-T-Thirteen m-m-ma'am."
Master…
Midoriya looked up to the Water Sage who had gripped onto his trident staff even tighter, his 'eyes' looking at a fixed point in the facility. Midoriya raised his eyebrows in question.
We're not alone…
Midoriya's eyes widened in terror. He looked up to where Ms. Aizawa and Thirteen were discussing the lesson. He raised his hand hesitantly.
"Um, excuse me?" The instructors continued their talking.
"Ex-Excuse me?!" Nothing.
"EXCUSE ME?!"
The teachers and the rest of the class looked toward him. He immediately gasped in the suddenness of the attention and looked down, face red.
Aizawa walked forward, crossing her arms. "Midoriya, if you think you can interrupt and then back out of it, you got another thing coming. Now, what did you want to tell me?"
Midoriya nodded and swallowed, "I…we-there's someone watching us!"
The class got into a battle stance. Midoriya saw Aoyama get into a stance as well, but the strange guilty look was back. He narrowed his eyes at her, but at the sound of Aizawa's 'ahem', everybody stopped.
"We're in a very secure location, Midoriya. Only the staff of UA have access to this place."
Midoriya pointed, "Then what's that?!"
Aizawa turned abruptly, figure tensing as a blackish-purple portal formed in front of the class. A tall shadow with a bartender outfit walked through. His glowing yellow eyes were staring at Aizawa-he appeared to be studying her.
He gave a gentlemanly bow to the class, "Good morning, ladies. I'm sorry, but we'll be taking you hostage now." The same portals appeared all over the USJ. Women of all species and ages were smirking maliciously at them.
But the one who was giving Midoriya the most warning bells in his head was the young woman that came out of the portal at the highest point of the facility. She had waist-length blue hair and waxen skin. She was wearing a black crop-top, a spandex gray undershirt, black shorts, fish-net leggings, and black combat boots. But that wasn't what caught Midoriya's attention.
There were hands all over her body.
And no, not a fun pattern on clothes.
Actual HUMAN HANDS!
One was covering her face, four was grasping onto her arms, and two were holding her knees.
Midoriya placed a hand over his mouth, kneeling on the ground. I think I'm gonna be sick!
The woman walked forward, arms outstretched.
"Greetings UA students! Since you're here by my hand, let me introduce myself. My name is Mo Shigaraki and you are my hostages that I'll use to destroy All Might! Now, let's have some fun…"
