Midoriya clenched his fists, looking at the green lightning that surrounded his hands. He tried activating One-for-All, but all he did was sprain his fingers. If he didn't have the training he did, both of his arms would be broken by now.
He took in a deep breath and began doing some kicks. Rauru mentioned that focusing One-for-All in one part of his body would cause some strain, so he decided to use both his arms and his legs. Toshinori Yuki continued to give him pointers as he began punching the sandbag in front of him.
"Good work, Young Midoriya!" The greenette let out a sigh and took a cup of water from the Pro Heroine. Toshinori gave him a pat on the back. She looked over his shoulder at the Lightning Sage, "However, I think One-for-All is boosting up the Lightning Sage's lightning power."
All Might could see all the sages the day after Midoriya accepted her power. She was shocked at first, but when Midoriya explained it, all she felt was touched. Midoriya trusted her enough to show her his power-it felt like they truly became teacher and student!
Midoriya nodded, looking at the Lightning Sage in excitement. "Yes! Now, instead of only hitting the spot of anything I throw one time, the lightning hits three times in succession! Also, if I throw something that can bounce…" He picked up a loose bit of gravel and threw it in front of him. The small rock bounced on the floor in a rhythm. Lightning hit each spot that the rock hit on the ground.
"It does that! But…" He looked down at his hands and legs in disappointment. "I don't want to just use the Sages…I want to use my own self too." Toshinori transformed into her buff form and gave Midoriya a pat on the back.
"Don't fret, Young Midoriya! Don't forget-Rome wasn't built in a day." She turned back into her frail form and watched the sages work on their powers. It wasn't just the Lightning Sages' powers that had gotten a boost-all of them had!
The Wind Sage flapped its wings, making little twirls in the air. Instead of the tiny gusts that was used before, there were whirlwinds! Midoriya tested how they worked by throwing a bean bag in one. It was twirling around faster and faster until the whirlwind turned into a gust and pushed in the direction the bean bag was 'facing'. The bean bag flew all the way to the other side of the gym (and the gym was pretty big!).
The Water Sage had a barrier that could cover up to 10 people and the blade of water can emit from the 'shield' from all directions! The more people the barrier covered, the sharper the blade is. The Water Sage's power cut through the training mannequins in front of him. To Izuku's horror, the blade cut the heads of the mannequins off. I'm going to have to work on that!
The Fire Sage had more fireballs than just the one-there were now three of them! They were also surrounded by flames and the flames of all three fireballs connected to make a wall of rock and fire! Midoriya curled his hand into a fist and punched-all fireballs flew like a wall toward the direction of Midoriya's punch!
However, the Spirit Sage did something unexpected. The jade machine placed its 'hands' together. A light shone through the cracks of the stones. What came out of them were little balls that reminded Midoriya of those little prizes in sushi restaurants.
Rauru materialized beside him, causing Midoriya to jump and Toshinori to gasp in shock. Rauru floated over to the balls, intriguing Midoriya enough to follow. Rauru laughed in joy and wistfulness.
"These are devices of the Zonai! They can connect to the Sage of Spirit and your gauntlet. You can also use these with Ultrahand to create more creations in the future." Midoriya knelt down and picked up a couple of balls. In his right hand, there was a tiny model of a brass bomb; in his left hand, it was a tiny model of a rocket.
Rauru looked at Toshinori, "Hello, you must be All Might. I'm King Rauru-Midoriya's teacher of his gauntlet." Toshinori bowed her head respectfully.
"I'm known as All Might, but I'm also-"
"Toshinori Yuki?" Toshinori looked at Rauru in surprise. He smiled, "Yes, Nana talks about you all the time." Toshinori turned her whole body towards Rauru in astonishment.
"You know about Nana?"
"Yes. When One-for-All bonded with Izuku, it bonded with the gauntlet as well. The past successors and I met in the mindscape of my old home, the Great Sky Island. Me and the first holder of One-for-All, Yoichi, have great talks. All the other successors made their own homes there. However, Nana prefers flying next to Zelda. She does come over to chat with me occasionally." He lowered his voice to something more serious.
"She's really proud of the Heroine you've become, Miss. Toshinori. And she believes you were wise in choosing Izuku as your successor." Toshinori sniffled in a mix of happiness and sadness. She was sad that her former mentor is no longer in the world but she was happy to know that Nana was not suffering anymore.
"WHOA!" Both teachers looked at where Midoriya was and saw a giant version of the brass bomb beside him. The top reached his collarbone and he was watching as the Spirit Sage knelt down and connected its right 'hand' with the bomb. It began walking around, hitting the practice pillars of the gym with ease.
Midoriya's green eyes sparkled as he continued practicing his powers. "I'm so excited! I can't wait for the Sports Festival."
If only he knew what was in store for him…
