The intro opens with Stars wand blinking several times before the princess swipes it up with excitement. Looking around before blasting a random monster with magic, making it angry, before her parents pushed her through a portal to Earth, the princess landing in the middle of Marco's room where Marco was about to karate chop a board, while Richard was standing nearby watching.
It's gonna get a little weird
Gonna get a little wild
I ain't from round here
I'm from another dimension
Gonna get a little weird
Gonna have a good time
The three friends smiling before Star pulled them outside, Mr. and Mrs. Diaz waving as the three friends ran off on an adventure before an insectoid fly monster emerged from the ground. It was an intense standoff before everyone broke into a dance.
I ain't from round here
I'm from another, woo-hoo
(dope Disney electronic music)
Yeah-heah
Marco, Richard and Star ran through the school halls, Pony Head having flown into frame with a pair of dimensional scissors in her mouth, the four running past their friends before Pony Head cut open a portal with the scissors, allowing the trio to jump in, arriving at the Cloud Lounge, then jumped through another portal and dodging the laser of some sort of machine, then jumped through another portal and ending up in an ocean, spotting a pirate ship. They then entered another portal before the pirates could attack and ended up in a dimension similar to Hell, as Tom offered Star a burning rose. Not impressed, Star pulled her friends through another portal and the three ran through a jungle, the laser eyed puppies following, before seeing Ludo and his minions charge at them.
I'm talkin rainbows
I'm talkin puppies
Pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa
Ooh
Star readied her wand, while Marco readied a karate stance and Richard readied his sword and shield, Star firing a beam of magic with dragonflies and gemstones. The scene changes to a dark area, as Richard and Star fell from the sky and landed on their feet and posed, as Marco fell on his back with several laser puppies piling on him. The two helped him up and Star lit up her wand, lighting up the area to reveal their friends and even their enemies.
It's gonna get a little weird
Gonna get a little wild
I ain't from round here
I'm from another dimension
Star and Richard then jumped up and raised their wand and shield before the camera zoomed in on the title.
The Last Knight
Chapter Three: Matchmaker
It was Monday morning, as the students got to school. The three friends of Marco, Richard, and Star were walking through the halls, Star tossing her wand up and down.
"I like red, I like hoodies." Marco said. "So, I bought a dozen of them."
"It's true, he has a whole closet full of them." Richard chimed in. "I even have plenty of blue hoodies."
"Hey, it's that magic girl!"
A large group of students and the school janitor passed by Star, Marco and Richard, all saying hello to Star.
"Hi, new friends! Hi!" Star greeted cheerfully, waving at them. "Everyone's so cool here, guys. It makes me wish my parents had tossed me out of the castle years ago."
"Oh, you haven't even met the coolest guys." Marco said, pointing a thumb at two of his friends across the hall next to some lockers.
One of them was a tall, skinny boy with curly brown hair, large circular black rimmed glasses and tan skin. He wore a blue and white striped shirt, brown shorts and olive sandals. The other was short and overweight with orange hair, freckles, and olive-green eyes. He wore a dark gray shirt that didn't seem to fit as his stomach stuck out at the bottom, gray sweatpants with a white stripe on each side and white tie strings, and dark gray shoes with white tips.
"Alfonzo and Ferguson."
Alfonzo Dolittle nudged his overweight friend, "Quick, here she comes!"
Ferguson O'durguson lifted up his shirt, a crudely drawn face drawn on it, and he started moving it to make it talk.
"Hey, hey. Are those books? Where are you going with those books?" He said as the girl walked past, the boy unaware of the repulsive look on her face. "Do you like to read—"
The girl slapped Ferguson's face, then slapped his stomach's face before walking away.
"Oh, dear." Alfonzo said.
Watching the scene, while Star had a thoughtful expression, Marco and Richard had looks of disappointment.
"They're usually cooler." Marco said.
"They're trying their best." Richard shrugged.
"I need to fix Ferguson up." Star said, tapping her wand against her chin.
"No." Marco said blandly.
They then heard rolling wheels and looked to the left, seeing Jackie Lynn Thomas doing a kickflip on her skateboard and rolling through the halls. She had wavy, shoulder-length platinum blond hair that hid her ears with an aqua streak on the left side, tan skin, mint green eyes, and freckles. She was of medium height and had a slim, curvy body. She wore a green and white raglan shirt, an orange seashell necklace, cyan jean shorts, green and white knee socks, and blue and white sneakers. Her eyes were typically half-closed, but, like Star, when they were completely opened, they overlap her bangs.
Richard gasped at the sight of the girl, his heart beating fast as the girl rode through the halls, wearing a dark purple helmet.
"Jackie Lynn Thomas!" He said, hearts in his eyes.
"Hey, Star Butterfly!" Jackie greeted the princess, skating past the trio.
"Hi, Jackie!" Star replied with a wave, before lightly gasping at the lovestruck look on Richard's face. "I need to fix you up."
"What?!" Richard did a double take.
"Yeah, my little bro here's been smitten with Jackie since kindergarten." Marco told her with a smirk.
"Am not!" Richard quickly denied, his face red, before he shortly relented. "Okay, I am. But these things need to happen naturally."
"Oh, come on." Star said, her eyes closed as she threw her wand from one hand to the other. "I'm almost as good at matchmaking as I am with magic."
However, her wand lit up and she ended up accidentally blasting Marco's face with magic, leaving him with a burnt face and frizzy hair with a bald spot, with one strand of hair on fire.
"I'm good." Marco coughed.
"Now I know why I had a wig in my backpack today." Richard said with a sigh before pulling out said wig.
The morning proceeded, the trio sat in class, Star drawing on her desk, while Marco sat patiently next to her. Richard, on the other hand, was sat behind Star, reading a Mewman history book Star had lent to him. The boy had become more interested in the world he never got to know, and Star was more than happy to teach him, or try her best to teach him. Soon, she gave him a book to read upon some history from Mewni.
"Mewni has some interesting stuff here." He said to himself in wonder before flipping another page. "Just rich in history."
When he turned another page, his eyes grew a bit at the title.
'The Mewni Knights Templars.'
"Whoa." He said in awe before reading silently. "The Mewni Knights Templars were an ancient order founded thousands of years ago by the Butterfly Family, before being led by the Belmont Family, sworn to defend the world of Mewni and beyond from the forces of evil."
He froze when he heard the name 'Belmont', his name. Looking at another subsection of the book, he saw another paragraph. "The Knights were led by a couple named Nova and Twilight Belmont before they disappeared, leading to the Order to forcibly disband after a preemptive assault by the dark forces."
His eyes widened in surprise. Could he be related to the couple that led the Knights Templars of Mewni? Could these characters, Nova and Twilight, be his long-lost parents?
"Look-look-look-look-look! It's my name! It's my name!" Star called him and Marco, making the two looked at her desk that she had drawn on. "With a star inside a butterfly and two hearts. And a spider."
"That's cool, but-"
A graded test sheet being slammed on Stars desk interrupted Richard, the three friends looking up to see Miss Skullnick standing over them, and very, very annoyed look on her face. She was a heavyset middle-aged woman with cream-colored skin, faded red hair that was styled back to resemble horns or flames, and black eyes. She wore small black-rimmed reading glasses, gold hoop earrings, a lavender shirt, leopard-print pants, and purple high-heels.
"As you can see, class, most of you have done a pathetic job." She said in an annoyed tone as she handed out the graded test papers to the rest of the class.
"Not me! I got an "F" for "fantastic"!" Star declared, holding up her graded paper, unaware of what the 'F' in school actually meant.
"That's an "F" for "fail"." Marco pointed out.
"Huh?" Star's face fell upon hearing that.
"What? You don't have tests on Mewni?" Marco asked with a raised brow.
"It would seem so." Richard chimed in, deciding to take his attention away from the book. "Do they even have schools?"
Star was unsure for a moment before throwing her test facedown. "So, what grade did you two get?"
"Only the best grade you can get: A-plus with a smiley face." Marco declared proudly, holding up his test paper to show the A-plus with the smiley face next to it.
"I got a B." Richard said, holding up his paper. "Admittedly, I'm not nearly as good at math as Marco. Grades aside, I keep getting weird love letters slipped in with the pages. "
"Ooh." Star said in awe before getting up. "I want the best one too!"
"Wait, don't!" Marco fretted, trying to stop her, but she was already out of reach and walking up to Skullnick's desk.
"This is gonna end in tears." Richard frowned.
Miss Skullnick was preoccupied with writing down equations on the chalkboard when…
"Oh, Miss Skullnick!" Star sang.
The teacher then crushed the chalk in her hand, turning to Star with a growl.
"Hey, Skullzy!" Star greeted with a smile, clearly not bothered by the intimidating glare that the teacher was sporting. "Can you please do me a teeny favor and turn my "F" into an "A"?" She asked, holding up her test paper.
"You're whining about a lousy grade?" Skullnick spat. "I finally got a guy with a boat, and he left me at the dock!"
"The dock?" Star wondered.
"The dock isn't the important part!" Skullnick yelled.
"Oof, romance troubles." Richard said. "I'm sorry to hear that, Teach. It's not your fault things don't work out."
Star nibbled on her wand in thought, as though brainstorming.
"I guess I'm doomed to dry land." Skullnick lamented.
Suddenly, Star's face lit up with an idea. "I got it! I'll cast a spell to get you the perfect guy, and you can give me the perfect grade." She offered.
"What?!"
Rather than wait for her offer to be accepted, Star readied her wand.
"Man Magnet..."
"Wait!" Skullnick exclaimed, shaking her hands frantically.
"Star, don't!" Richard tried to stop Star, but he was too late.
"...Love Storm!"
Star then fired a beam of magic at the teacher, transforming Miss Skullnick into a hideous green-skinned troll. She was slightly fatter than before, with the addition of some body hair. Her hair was longer and a brighter shade of red, yellow eyes, turquoise lips, an underbite with protruding fangs, longer ears and nose, and a pink gemstone embedded in her naval.
The students gasped in shock, Richard and Marco were especially shocked.
"Star, what did you do?!" Marco yelled.
"I-I think I turned her into a troll." Star said, just as shocked.
"We can see that!" Richard exclaimed.
"Whoa, that was unexpected." Jackie said as she approached.
The students stared in shock, before Justin declared, "Star Butterfly rules!" The other students started cheering.
Skullnick let out a horrified scream at her new form. "I'm hideous!"
"Am I the only one who thinks the look suits her?" Jackie asked Richard in a hushed tone.
"Do you want to be the one to tell her that?" Richard asked silently.
"Quick, change her back!" Marco urged.
"Yeah, before she's tempted to eat us!" Richard exclaimed, his brother giving him a confused look. "What? Some trolls eat people!"
"Oh, okay, yeah, right!" Star said with a nervous laugh. "Okay, yeah... Lightning Change Back!"
With a sap of magic, Skullnick was engulfed in magic, but so were Richard, Jackie, Marco and Star before they vanished from the room, then magically reappearing in Star's bedroom at the Diaz Household.
Skullnick screamed some more and started running up and down the room.
"Huh. Where are we?" Star asked, clearly unaware of where they were.
"You just zapped us back to the house!" Marco exclaimed.
"Ohhhh... I wish I knew how I did that." Star said. "It could really come in handy if I don't feel like using my legs."
"Wouldn't the spell be something like Resident Recall?" Jackie asked before noticing that they were missing one more person. "Wait, where's Richard?"
The sounds of tapping could be heard, prompting Jackie to look down and see that she had landed on Richard, tapping his fingers on the ground with Jackie sitting on his back.
"Oh, don't mind me. This is just the thanks I get for being nice to women."
Skullnick suddenly appeared close to the camera and screamed again.
Outside the window, Buff Frog was watching them. He let out an evil laugh but stopped when he saw Richard staring at him and waving at him when no one was looking.
Snapping out of his confusion, Buff Frog opened a portal and jumped through, returning to his master's castle and in front Ludo, then saluted him.
"Ludo, master." He declared. "Star Butterfly has come home from school early today and she seems... distracted."
"Distracted? Excellent!" Ludo stated, licking at his ice cream cone. "This is the moment I've been waiting for." His ice cream suddenly fell of before Bearicorn placed it back on the cone. "No one's at their best when they're... distracted!" He let out a laugh. "Finally..." He then dropped his ice cream cone. "I'll get my hands on that glorious wand!"
He imagined himself holding the wand, the wand changing from a purple form with white wings to a skull form with black wings.
"When it transforms, it'll match my hat!" Ludo went on. "And I'll get my big boy body!" He laughed as he imagined himself suddenly growing larger with a hulking form, terrorizing Mewni. "Kick down the tower. Zip, zap, zip-zip, zip, zap! And... I'm a lifeguard!" His imagination then switched to him suddenly in a hot spring surrounded by buxom beauties.
Cut back to the throne room and Ludo was imagining giving CPR.
"One, two, three..." He said before blowing.
"Is that CPR?" Bearicorn asked.
"Silence!" Ludo shouted before he sighed softly. "...Yes. Unfortunately, I was too late."
Back at the Diaz Household, the teens were trying to console the despondent and increasingly hysterical Miss Skullnick, who they had sat and tied in a chair and uncontrollably sobbing, making a large puddle of her tears. While Marco, Star and Jackie were bringing out buckets to try and bail out the tears, Richard was trying to mop up said puddle when he froze and shuddered a bit, seemingly for no apparent reason.
"You cold?" Jackie asked, noticing.
"No, just had this weird feeling I was watching someone have a dream-like power trip that transitioned to CPR. May she rest in peace." He said before thinking to himself. 'Okay, so the girl that you've been wanting to be with is here in your house. This is fine, right?'
Inside his mind was a futuristic briefing room with medieval elements and multi-colored orbs inhabited by nine colored individuals. The purple and orange were clearly in a panic as they were running around in circles. The large pink was just lying on the ground in fetal position, his hood covering his face. The rest of them were just staring at the screen with a pleased look on all their faces despite the chaos.
"This is fine." The one called Joy said. "We are perfectly comfortable with the events that are unfolding."
The red one's head burst into flames as the cyan one pulled out a marshmallow on a stick over it.
Back in reality, Richard had a look of nervousness on his face. "Yep. Perfectly fine."
"Please don't cry, Miss Skullnick." Star said, trying to calm the despairing teacher.
"You know, when I said that things would end in tears, I didn't mean literally." Richard quipped, scooping up tears in a bucket before dumping the contents out the window.
"Star, we can't keep stalling." Marco told her. "You're gonna have to call your mom. She'll know how to reverse the spell."
Star let out a fearful gasp. "No! I can't ask for help!" She yelled. "If my parents find out about this, they're gonna send me to..." She gulped. "St. Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses!" She said, fear in her voice. She imagined herself strapped to an operating table with her hair tied back and the words "CUT HERE" and a dotted line drawn on her forehead. A demonic-looking surgeon appeared before Star, having a buzzsaw for a left hand, and his right hands held a scalpel. "It's a terrible, horrible place, and no one who goes there ever comes out the same!"
Star then started screaming, and she kept screaming for several minutes before she finally stopped.
"Is it all out yet?" Marco asked.
"Almost." She said before screaming some more, then stopped. "Okay, I'm done."
"Didn't you say that exact sentence back at the arcade?" Richard asked with confusion.
"Look, Star, you just need to get the information without letting her know what's going on." Marco suggested. "You know, dance around the truth."
Star lit up at this idea. "I'm a great dancer!" She then proceeded to dance over to a set of curtains before pulling it back to reveal an interdimensional mirror, Richard walking over out of curiosity.
"Mirror, mirror on the wall... Call Mom." Star said, Richard quickly using makeup to cover his cheek crests.
"Calling Tom." The mirror declared robotically, much to Star's shock.
"W-W-W-W-W—" Star stuttered, trying to stop it, but the face of Tom had already appeared on the mirror's surface. He had silky salmon-colored hair, very pale lilac skin, three red eyes (one in the middle of his forehead, black eyeliner under and around his eyes, two pale-orange white tipped horns on the sides of his head, sharp teeth, and pointy ears and nose.
"Star!" He declared, happy to see her.
"No. No." Star said, about to hang up.
"W-Wait! You're here, I'm here—" Tom tried to say before noticing Richard. "Who's he?"
"I said 'call Mom', not Tom." Star said, refusing to answer.
"No! Star!" Tom said before his voice turned demonic. "DON'T HANG UP!"
Star pressed a button on the mirror, and Tom's image vanishes, now displaying the process of calling her mother.
"I really gotta delete him off my mirror." Star muttered.
"Ex-boyfriend?" Richard asked, earning a nod from Star as the Earth raised Mewman patted her back. "If I do enter a relationship with someone, I'll at least have someone to give me pointers."
Queen Butterfly's image appeared on the mirror's surface.
"Oh, Star, darling, what a pleasant surprise!" The queen said with a smile before taking notice of Richard. "Ah, and who's this?"
"Mom, this is one of the friends I told you about, Richard!" Star said, gesturing to Richard, who stood next to her with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
"Hello, your highness." Richard said, bowing. "It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise, young Richard." Moon nodded to him before squinting her eyes. "Hmm…there's something about your eyes that seem familiar, young man…"
"There is?" Richard raised an eyebrow.
"Anyways, enough about that." Star waved it off. "So, Mom... let's just say that someone accidentally turned someone into a troll with the wand." Star proceeded to say, trying to dance around the truth. "Not that I would do that, no, because that would be completely irresponsible—"
Suddenly, there was a loud crash and a scream, Richard and Star seeing Marco and Jackie run towards a hole in the wall that Moon thankfully couldn't see, but she definitely heard the noise.
"Star, what is going on?!" Moon demanded.
"Gotta go, bye!" Star yelped, hitting the button to hang up and quickly closed the curtains before running over to the hole where Marco and Jackie stood. "What happened?!"
"She jumped out the window!" Marco said.
Miss Skullnick, still tied to a chair, ran across the house yard, hoping to get away. But just as she was about to attempt to jump over the fence, Marco tackled her to the ground, with Star landing on top of him.
"Wow, good job, Marco." Star said with a smile.
"Wow, good job, Marco." Repeated a mocking voice.
The duo up to see Ludo and his minions standing before them, all itching for a fight.
Just then, Richard and Jackie caught up. "Hey, glad you caught…" Richard stopped when he saw Ludo and his minions. "Oh, it's you, little guy."
"Ludo! What are you doing here?" Star demanded.
"Catching you at your most distracted!" Ludo declared with confidence.
Star looked at him with confusion. "What? I have been way more distracted than this." She denied.
"I don't know. You seem... pretty distracted." Ludo said, still certain.
"Nah, not really." Star said with a shake of her head.
"Oh, well..." Ludo said, slightly disappointed, before suddenly shouting as he pointed his finger. "What's that over there?!"
"What?! Where?!" Star gasped looking in the pointed direction.
"Nice going proving his point, Star." Richard rolled his eyes.
"Whoa, you guys deal with crazy stuff like this?" Jackie inquired before smiling. "Sounds like fun."
"Get her!"
At Ludo's command, the minions roared, the teens letting out a scream before darting off, the minions chasing after them, trampling of Skullnick in the process. Ludo climbed up the neck of his giraffe minion before jumping on the back of a flying bat creature.
As the monsters began their approach, Star and her friends readied themselves, along with Jackie who readied a combat stance. As the monsters got closer, Star jumped in the air, her wand glowing with magic power.
"Dagger Crystal Heart Attack!" She shouted, firing a volley of hearts from her wand. "Feel the love!"
The blast sent the monsters flying backward with hearts stuck in their bodies.
Richard charged in with his shield held out, running down some of the monsters before being faced with Bearicorn, Big Chicken, and Three-eyed Potato Baby, all looking ready to fight.
"Time to test that new spell." Richard said, pointing his sword as it glowed with energy. "Fire Tornado!"
At the boy's command, the blade lit up and shot a twister of fire at the minions, burning them up and making Big Chicken look like cooked chicken, Bearicorn looked burnt to a crisp as he coughed up soot, white Three-eyed Potato Baby looked like a bundle of fries.
"Dinner is served." Richard quipped.
He barely had time to catch a minotaur minion trying to rush him from behind, but just as he turned around…
"Hiyah!"
Jackie flew in with a flying kick, kicking the minotaur in the face and sending him crashing into the ground. Another tried to attack her, only for her to send several punches to the gut before delivering a kick to the jaw and sending him flying.
Richard blinked several times in surprise at Jackie's fighting. "Mixed Martial Arts?"
Jackie shrugged. "Have to keep myself busy somehow." She said. "Like you with kick boxing."
Richard smiled, amazed by her skills. "Never really pegged you as the damsel in distress type. Glad to be proven right."
Marco faced down three monsters. "I'm obligated to warn you..." He said as he tied a white band around his head. "...I'm a green belt. With a stripe."
The monsters fake being scared, clearly mocking him. What did they have to fear of a mere human?
Marco was about to prove them wrong as he picked up a rake and spun it around. He then smacked one of the monsters in the face, then swept the second one's legs and struck him in the face with the rake. A third jumped him from behind and started punching him repeatedly.
"Ow! Hey! Ow, ow! Owww!"
Pushing through the pain, Marco kicked the monster in the face and knocked him over. A loud stomp drew his attention, a large minotaur monster with cattle-like legs, a nose ring, pink eyes with red corneas, pointed ears, and two black horns protruding from both sides of his head that pointed upward. He wore a green speedo with a skull belt with a broadsword in the sheath.
The minotaur, Emmitt, cracked his knuckles, while not too far, Richard was clashing with Buff Frog. The anthropomorphic frog throwing a punch, Richard raising his shield to block the punch before swinging his sword, leaving a cut on his arm, causing him to let out a pained yell.
The crocodile minion snapped its jaws at Star, only to miss, then smacked her in the back with its tail. As Star flew backward, she spun around and struck a three-eyed minion with her wand, making a large bump on his head.
Meanwhile, Emmitt had pulled Marco into a headlock and was continuously punching his stomach, until Richard charged in with his shield, bashing the minotaur and sending the monster flying.
Just as Miss Skullnick was getting up after freeing herself from her binds, Emmitt had crashed into her, both falling to the ground. Just as the two lifted their heads, their eyes met with hearts in them. Emmitt got up, and although his speech seemed to compose of mostly incoherent babbling, he seemed apologetic as he helped the teacher up.
"Narwhal Blast! Narwhal Blast!" Star yelled, blast one minion after another with magical narwhals.
"Yo, Star, check it out." Jackie said, holding a minion in a head lock and pointing.
Star turned and saw Skullnick and Emmitt utterly smitten with each other.
"Awww..." Star said, seeming unaware of Beard Deer charging from behind until she raised her wand at him. "Narwhal Blast..." She then fired another blast of magic at him without even looking.
"Nice shot." Jackie complimented before punching the minion she had in a head lock, knocking him out.
Emmitt talked to Skullnick some more before returning to the fight, waving at her, as Skullnick watched, completely lovestruck.
Marco was fighting the giraffe minion, Buff Frog, and Three-eyed Potato Baby with Richard at his back holding off Buff Frog, when Star popped in from the side.
"Hey, boys, you can handle this for a minute on your own, right?" She asked.
"Oh, yeah. No problem." Marco said.
"We've got this in the bag." Richard assured.
"Cool, thanks!" Star said before darting off, with Jackie following behind.
"Wait…"
The brothers turned around to see all of Ludo's minions towering over them, all eager for more combat.
"Well, this hardly seems fair…"
Richard and Marco looked at each other, then back at the mob before grinning.
"…for YOU!" They both declared, readying themselves.
As Miss Skullnick was trying to climb over a fence to escape the madness, Star and Jackie approached from behind.
"Oh, Miss Skullnick!" Star sang.
"What?" The teacher deadpanned, giving Star the stink eye.
"See that monster over there?" Star pointed at the fighting.
Marco was fighting off some of the minions while Richard clashed with Emmitt, the minotaur pushing down on his shield.
"He thinks you're cute." Star told her.
"Yeah, he's got the hots for ya." Jackie added.
"Really?" Skullnick said in surprise before climbing back down from the fence. "Ooh! What should I do?"
"Wait right here."
Emmitt clashed blades with Richard, the two clashing swords until they put distance between the other, both readying their stances. But before they could clash again, Star jumped in between the two, standing before the monster.
"Hey there, monster guy." Star said with a big smile before pointing. "See that troll over there?"
Emmitt looked to where Star was pointing, the minotaur babbling excitedly before running over to the teacher-turned-troll, Star and Jackie watching.
"Wow, Star," Jackie said, impressed. "You're a pretty good matchmaker."
"Aw, thanks!" Star said with a proud smile.
Behind the girls, however, Ludo and his army were still putting pressure on the boys.
"Star! Jackie!" Marco yelled.
"A little help please!" Richard added.
Seeing the boys in trouble, Star readied her wand.
"Hey, guys! I think you forgot something." She called, her wand glowing yellow. "Richard, like we practiced!"
Richard smiled. "My time has come!" He raised his sword as it glowed a deep red color.
The monsters tried to run at Star to stop her from using another spell while others tried to jumped at Richard, but it was too late.
"Thermonuclear Butterfly Blast!"
"Awesome Armageddon!"
"Not again!" Ludo screamed in panic.
A loud explosion covered the yard in rainbow light and butterflies, along with a red light. Everything, for a moment, faded to white. Fading in on Star and Richard, both looking surprised, surrounded by unconscious monsters and small fires. Ludo, who had been flung into a tree from the explosion, fell out of said tree.
"Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!" Star uttered happily.
"Weapon of Mass Destruction spell was a success!" Richard declared happily before giving Star a high five.
Marco and Jackie stood off to the side, covered in soot and butterflies. While Marco was whimpering from the shock of the explosion, Jackie was the opposite.
"Whoa, talk about overkill." She said, impressed.
"Get up! Get up!" Lodu yelled, shaking an unconscious Beard Deer, only to rip his shirt.
"Told you I wasn't distract—" Star said before she asked in concern. "Wait, did I just kill that guy?"
"No, he's not dead." Ludo said in frustration. "He's probably just bleeding internally and being a total baby about it!" Ludo said before kicking the minion in the head. "Stupid wuss..."
"Geez, if that's how you treat your minions, I'd hate to see how you treat your enemies." Richard frowned.
Ignoring Richard's comment, Ludo proceeded to open a dimensional portal.
"Get up, you dipsticks!"
Ludo's monsters all got up, groaning in pain and covered in bruises, and shuffled toward the portal. The only one left was Emmitt, who was unharmed from the explosion, and Skullnick latched around his arm. And while Marco seemed disturbed by the image and Jackie seemed unbothered, Star and Richard were smiling ear to ear.
"Well, at least someone's happy." Jackie remarked with a half-smile and hands on her hips.
"So... now that I hooked you up, how about that 'A'?" Star asked with glee.
"Honey, please! I'd give you an A-plus if I was still a teacher." Skullnick chuckled. "I'm setting sail with Captain Triceps here."
Emmitt let out an excited babbling.
"Nanananana. I can't you have you going out like this." Richard said, gesturing to Skullnick's attire, before raising his sword. "Racial Robes plus Native Tounge!"
A beam shot out of the tip of the sword and hit the troll teacher, changing her attire into something else, mixing her clothing designs with something more 'traditional'. Another beam hit Emmitt's throat.
"Try speaking." Richard requested.
"What for?" Emmitt asked, before becoming surprised at the words coming out of his mouth. "Wait, did that come from me?"
"I've been studying, thanks to Star." Richard said. "This should help you make a good first impression. Plus, the last thing I need is miscommunication." He then leaned in and whispered to the teacher. "Now I want to you to take to heart that little conversation we had earlier this morning. Remember that if things fall apart, it is not your fault."
"Thanks, kid." Skullnick smiled. "I knew you were one of my favorite students for a reason."
"What about my 'A'?!" Star asked in dismay.
"Try studying." Skullnick smirked before she and Emmitt entered the portal before it closed behind them.
Star looked on in dismay, all the while, Marco only had one thing to say.
"Wah-wahhh." He said, imitating a sad trombone.
"So... about that makeup you used earlier." Jackie asked, looking at Richard, almost teasingly.
"I panicked! Okay?!" Richard exclaimed, flustered. "Queen Moon learning that there is another Mewman with cheek marks outside of her family bloodline is the last thing I need right now. Besides, it's not my fault I pull it off so well, for a boy, I mean."
After the events involving Ludo and his minions, the teens went home, and while Richard was sad to see Jackie leave, he had fun. Not to mention he'd see her at school again.
And they did the next day, upon arriving at school and getting to class, they saw how confused their classmates were when they saw the absence of their teacher. So, the trio explained the events that took place.
"So anyway, long story short, Skullnick ran off with this weird man-bull guy thing to another dimension, and now she is gone forever." Star finished.
The students were silent before Justin shouted, "Star Butterfly rules!"
The students followed with cheers, all crowding around Star and shoving Marco and Richard to the side, while Jackie stood off to the side.
"What are we; leftovers?" Richard said with a frown.
"Thanks, everyone! But actually..." Star said before pulling Marco and Richard into the middle of the crowd. "...It's Marco and Richard who deserves all the credit."
The students cheered and crowded around the two, but the celebration was cut short when they noticed a bright light coming from the front of the room. Looking over, they saw a dimensional portal opening over Miss Skullnick's desk, and Miss Skullnick herself fell through, smashing the desk in a cool pose and a look of glee on her face as the portal closed.
"Miss Skullnick?!" Marco gasped in surprise.
"Now that's what I call an entrance, Ms. Skullnick." Richard said with a clap. "I take it that things with Emmit are going well?"
"His folks seem to like me. I think." Skullnick nodded, although she seemed confused. "I don't know. I couldn't understand a word they were saying!"
"Were their expressions and vocal pitch in a more positive manner?" Richard asked.
Skullnick pondered for a moment before nodding again.
"One moment." Richard said before pointing his finger, a small orb of energy emitting at the tip. "Linguist Lexicon!" With that declaration, a small beam of magic hit the teachers throat. "That should help."
"Thanks for the help, kid." Skullnich said before sitting at her broken desk. "Everyone, get ready for the best and easiest pop quiz of your lives!"
The students cheered, happy that the teacher was in such a good mood.
Jackie looked at Richard approvingly, giving a nod before walking away.
"Yesterday was fun." She said, smiling as she looked over her shoulder at him. "Let's do it again sometime."
Richard turned into a stuttering fool, losing all manner of control as his brother pulled him over to his desk, which some of the female classmates were getting into a catfight over, trying to pull Richard's desk towards theirs. Justin pulled Marco's desk towards his, smiling as Marco sat down.
As Star sat down, she whispered to Richard. "Sorry, Richard. I didn't mean to embarrass you in front of Jackie."
"Are you kidding?! That's the most she's ever talked to me today!" He whispered back, happiness and excitement on his face. "Including yesterday!"
"If anything, you did us a huge favor." Marco added.
Star gasped before smiling. "Then that means I'm even better at matchmaking than I am with magic!" She declared, tossing her wand from one hand to the other.
"Hey, careful with that-"
Richard's warnings came too late, as Star accidentally blasted Marco's face with magic, giving his head butterfly wings and antennae, one of his antennae being on fire. The butterfly wings briefly flapped, before Star tried to blow the fire out.
"Not again…" Richard sighed before pulling out another wig.
Jackie watched all this from her desk, specifically at Richard before turning to a page in her notebook, showing a drawing of a crown and ring, a smile creeped up on her face.
And there's the new chapter! This was fun, showing off more of Richards spell casting, some lore I added regarding Mewni such as the Knights Templars, and seeding the buds of Richard and Jackie, as well as having Jackie play a part. That and a much happier ending for the episode. I hope you guys are liking this so far, as I have many more in store as we get further into the story! I hope to show Star, and perhaps later, Glossaryck, teaching Richard more about magic.
Also, I hope you liked my version of the intro!
Until then, like always, stay tuned for more, and as always, suggestions and reviews are greatly appreciated!
