The pale blue light of the twin moons high in the sky bathed the planet of Valtira VI in an unearthly glow, visible even from where the young Captain Hayvna was in her personal quarters given to her and her crew for rest. On the planet's surface, the crew was enjoying a much-needed shore leave while the Arsenal received minor repairs in drydock. The halls of the main building, which was housing her crew, echoed with the sounds of music and laughter, but in Hayvna's private quarters, a different story was unfolding.

Hayvna sat at her desk in the room, a holo-display flickering before her. Reports streamed across the screen, detailing the ship's status and the various repairs being done. The work of a starship captain was never done and even she knew that if Commander S'Nira, or worse Dr. T'lirri, found out she was working rather than resting, she had a feeling they would drag her to bed.

As the clock ticked on towards midnight, the sounds of celebration outside faded into a dull murmur. Hayvna leaned back in her chair, taking a moment to breathe as she flexed her left arm. She watched as the metal of her arm shifted and moved in the light coming from the lamp on the table, grinning softly to herself when she felt a slight oddity with it. 'I'll have to ask Bellatrix to take a peek at it. She'll love that.' Hayvna thought before she laughed at herself.

The soft chime from her door broke her thoughts and she glanced at the panel on the far wall, blinking slowly. Probably it was Commander S'Nira or even Dr. T'lirri, both looking for a late-night chat or even a random game.

"Come in!" She called as she turned back around to her desk to turn the holo-display off.

The door slid open and revealed a figure clad in a familiar red uniform of Starfleet. The officer's face was slightly hidden beneath the shadow of the room's dim lights, but the insignia on the chest confirmed their identity.

"Captain Vevva," The officer began, their voice coming out smooth and practiced. "I apologize for the late hour, but I have some urgent updates regarding the ship's repairs."

At first thought, she believed something had gone wrong with the ship and it didn't sit well with her. "I wasn't notified of any urgent updates." She replied, her brow furrowing as instinct screamed at her to contact her XO.

The officer stepped forward and as the light caught their features, Hayvna stiffened where she stood beside her desk. Something was off. The sharpness of their gaze, a slight tremor in their hands-these were not the hallmarks of a trained officer.

"Just a routine check, Captain." The officer replied as a forced smile graced their lips. "I assure you, it's important."

Before Hayvna could respond, the officer lunged forward. Their hands wrapped around her throat, squeezing with an alarming strength. She gasped, her instincts kicking in as she fought back, her left arm swinging toward the assailant. But the officer was ready, using their other hand to grab her advanced metal arm, twisting it painfully in a way that sent shocks straight into her nerves.

"Let go of me!" Hayvna choked out, her voice strained as she struggled against the vice-like grip.

"Sorry, Captain," The officer hissed, their face contorting with a mix of determination and malice. "But you're coming with me."

With a surge of adrenaline, Hayvna managed to free her left arm momentarily, activating her arm's enhanced strength. She pushed against the officer, forcing them back. But the element of surprise was gone, and the officer quickly recovered to lunge at her again. She hit the floor hard with a thud as she was pinned beneath the large man and his hands once again found her throat, tightening their grip once more.

Hayvna's vision began to blur, the room spinning as the oxygen dwindled. She felt her strength waning, her body fighting against the inevitable. In a final desperate move, she reached for her communicator clipped to her belt, but the officer anticipated her action, slapping it away just as her world dimmed into darkness.

"Captain, we have the target."
