Chapter 37: Announcement!

Sorry, not a chapter, but I promise one after this. Call it a belated Christmas/early New Years' Eve gift, lol!

Just want to say a few things to all my readers, both new and old.

Chapter 37: Announcement!

Hello everyone, ChiWriters here!

As we near the end of the year, I can't help but reflect on something that's truly amazing to me. It's been a whole year since I posted A Chemical X-Quirk, and I'm still in shock over how much traction it has gained. Honestly, I never expected it to grow the way it has. When I first came up with the idea to write this fanfiction, I remember thinking to myself, "This series needs a retelling. The director must have been asleep with all the obvious favoritism shown towards the antagonists!" And now, here I am a year later, brainstorming ideas for Season 3; can you believe it?

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who've stuck with me since the very beginning. Even though some of the earlier chapters had their fair share of grammatical hiccups (and I promise I'll get around to fixing them eventually, lol), you all have been incredibly patient and supportive. It means the world to me that my story has resonated with so many of you. Through writing, I've been able to unlock my creative potential and explore ideas for future stories that I'm excited to share with you soon.

I truly appreciate every single one of you, whether it's through the hits, the comments you leave, or the bookmarks that tell me my work is actually worth something. It's honestly so rewarding to see my efforts appreciated. Even though this is a hobby for me, a way to scratch that creative itch, I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do it and have people like you alongside me on this journey.

As I mentioned earlier, while writing has become something I love doing, it's still not my job (though I wish it were!). I've mentioned that next year, I'll likely be very busy, and posting may not be as frequent as it has been this past year. While it's a bit of a bummer, it's also an opportunity for me to plan the storyline more carefully and ensure I don't rush through anything. I'm actually excited for what's to come! Right now, I have two chapters lined up: one that I'll post after this letter (it's not huge, just an aftermath chapter), and the other…well, I'm not going to spoil that one. Hehehe.

One promise I'll make to all of you, whether you're the one person still reading this letter or anyone else who might be wondering: I will not let this story die before I finish it. Even if that means posting once every month or two, I will be back to continue the journey. So, keep those reviews coming, I love hearing how much you think I'm a genius! (Or, you know, maybe just a little bit. )

A Chemical X-Quirk will also be undergoing a few changes in the future. It's funny how I'm saying this like it's a high-budget production, but I've been thinking of some ideas for the girls and other characters, and I'd love to hear your thoughts too. I always enjoy getting feedback from my readers, so please don't hesitate to share your ideas with me!

And on a slightly different note, I've seen bits and pieces about My Hero Academia and its ending. I still haven't warmed to it, and while the Izuku and Uraraka shippers are back on track, I respect their opinions but will always stick to my own. As for Bakugou, I'll stand by what I've always said, he's still the worst character I've encountered. Sure, some people admire his determination and drive, but I still wish we had seen the consequences he so richly deserved. Izuku deserved better, and honestly, he should have stopped defending Bakugou long before he did.

Aizawa is another character who still hasn't won me over. Though he's above All Might in my personal ranking of teachers, he remains far from my favorite.

With that said, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year! Here's to a fantastic 2025, and I'll see you all then. Thank you again for being such an incredible community, and remember: GO PLUS ULTRA! BYE!
