EASTER SUNDAY 2025
THERESA DONOVAN'S HOUSE
FAIRMONT CREST, MARYLAND
It was the day of Easter and Theresa was busy getting ready for the big day.
"Kids, come on! We better get going! We're going to be late!" Theresa hollered as she was busy putting on her golden earrings in front of the bathroom mirror. She was wearing a dark black dress jacket with a white blouse underneath along with a simple gold chain around her neck, a long midi black skirt and a pair of black high heels. Her hair was also tied into a high bun and was now a dark shade of blonde.
"You look amazing, babe," Joe Junior smiled as he walked into the bathroom with Gabrielle in his arms as he kissed her on the neck seductively. Gabrielle was wearing a white floral ponytail with a white dress and black Mary Jane shoes.
"Thanks, Joey; you too," Theresa smirked demurely as she turned around to face him with a bright, dazzling grin.
"So what do you say? We get this show on the road or what?" Joe Junior announced enthusiastically while still cradling Gabrielle gingerly.
"We're ready, Mommy!" Josie Faye announced as she and Tate also showed up with Josie Faye wearing a pink floral dress with white dress shoes and Tate wearing a white buttoned down shirt with a pair of long khaki pants and a pair of white sneakers.
"All right then; let's get moving, people! Let's go!" Theresa barked as she led everyone out of the bedroom before they left the house and headed for their spaceship.
It wasn't long before Theresa and Joe Junior were on their way to New York aboard the spaceship as they were busy engaged in a conversation with each other about recent events.
"I'm really sorry about Elliot, by the way," Theresa said in an apologetic and rueful voice as Joe Junior was focusing on the horizon before them with Gabrielle asleep in her car seat and Tate and Josie Faye taking turns playing with Tate's Nintendo Switch.
"Yeah, I know. Elliot really gave Randall and Ma quite the scare; he got banged up pretty bad. He could've died for all I know," Joe Junior frowned anxiously as he kept on driving.
"He's very lucky to be alive, especially after getting T-boned by a semi-truck out of the blue like that," Theresa remarked wistfully.
"Amen," Joe Junior nodded in agreement. "So where's Riley by the way?"
"She's spending Easter with J.J. and his folks," Theresa answered. "My parents allowed Tate and Josie Faye to come with us only if I allowed them to invite them over for dinner the night before. Andrew, Noelle, and their kids are going to be with my parents and Paul and Slugger are also going to spend the day with John and Marlena and their family."
"That sounds amazing," Joe Junior beamed happily at her. "It must have been pretty interesting having an alien that looks like a pterodactyl over for dinner."
"Yeah, well, they're used to it by now. And to be honest, so much crazy and insane shit has happened in our town over the years that this is basically a nothing-burger in comparison," Theresa replied with a shrug. "So… do you know who is coming over to your mom's house for Easter?"
"Yeah, obviously Elliot is going to be there, and he's also invited Olivia and her son Noah to accompany him. Randall is also going to be bringing in his wife and kids, and Keith is also showing up with Marianne and Matthew…"
"Not to mention Sharon and Dee and Kenny and their other kids… Maureen, Carl and their kids are also going to be there and so will Kathleen, Richard, his girlfriend Tina, Elizabeth and her girls…" Joe Junior answered in a rambling voice while deep in thought with his voice trailing off. "And Eli is going to be there with his girlfriend as well. She's pretty far along in her pregnancy and he also just joined the police force last week, so…"
"Wow, that's a full house. I'm sure that Tate will be thrilled to see Noah," Theresa marveled in awe. "They're pretty close."
"I can imagine," Joe Junior smiled as he and Theresa shared a kiss.

A few hours later, Theresa and Joe Junior finally arrived in front of Bernadette Stabler's apartment as they stepped out of the spaceship with the kids in tow. The couple then walked over to the front door as Joe Junior knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.
Moments later, the door opened as Bernadette appeared on the doorstep, beaming and overjoyed to see her youngest.
"Joey! You're here! And you brought Theresa with you!" Bernadette exclaimed as she pulled her son into a tight embrace.
"Happy Easter, Ms. Stabler," Theresa replied with a polite, reserved smile.
"Oh, please, honey; like I already told you, just call me Bernie," Bernadette replied with a bright, inviting smile as she went over to hug and kiss Theresa too.
"And I see that we got company here!" Bernadette added as she bent down to meet Tate and Josie Faye's eye level. "You must be Theresa's children."
"Say hi to Bernie, kids," Theresa urged them with a gentle nudge.
"Hi, Bernie," Josie Faye chirped with a wave.
"Hi, Ms. Bernadette," Tate waved back.
"Please, come in; come in," Bernadette beckoned as she led everyone into the house.
The minute that Theresa, Joe Junior and the kids stepped into the living room, she was surprised to see a room full of people gathering around, chatting and laughing.
"Hey, man, you're here!" Noah explained as he raced over to meet Tate and the two boys greeted each other with a fist bump and a handshake.
"Hey, Noah," Tate replied with an excited smile.
"Come on; I got something that I wanna show you," Noah beckoned urgently as he motioned for Tate to follow him.
Then as Noah and Tate walked away to spend some time together, Theresa noticed that Seamus, Kieran and Callum were running around the living room while playing a game of tag. Then Seamus charged right at Kieran and tackled him as the two began to wrestle each other on the floor right then and there.
"Hey, boys, knock it off!" Maureen hollered shrilly as she watched her sons continue to wrestle and roll over each other while laughing and shrieking boisterously.
"Hey, Joey; great to see you, man," Elliot greeted him as he walked over to Joe Junior and the two men hugged each other.
"Me too; it really means a lot to me that you guys were there for Gabby's christening last weekend," Joe Junior replied with a bright smile of his own.
"Hey, she's a Stabler, Joey. We take care of our own; you should know that by now," Elliot declared proudly while tapping on his shoulder lightly.
"Damn straight, brother," Joe Junior concurred as he and Elliot embraced each other briefly.
"Well, lookie here; the prodigal son returns," Randall declared with a raucous and hearty laugh as he walked over to where Elliot and Joe Junior were before pulling Joe Junior in for a brief hug and patted him on the back.
"Hey, Randall," Joe Junior smiled at his older brother. "Great to see ya."
"Nice to see you too, little brother. Been way too damn long," Randall answered as he then glanced over at Theresa with a knowing smile. "I see that you brought that firecracker girlfriend of yours with you too."
"I have a name, you know," Theresa growled tersely with narrowed eyes.
"Don't sweat it, Theresa; he's just messing with you, that's all," Joe Junior reassured him as he and Randall shared a hearty laugh.
"Anyone that can stand that knucklehead brother of mine for more than a single minute has got to be a keeper, believe me," Randall said empathetically as he then gestured over for Joe Junior to follow him. "Come on, Joey; have a beer with me."
"All right," Joe Junior nodded as he then turned to face Theresa. "I'm going to go hang out with Randall for a minute. You okay being here by yourself in the meantime?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, Joey," Theresa replied with a smile.
Randall then placed an arm around Joe Junior as he then led him away. Moments later, Olivia appeared as she walked over to Theresa with a smile.
"Hey, Theresa," she greeted her.
"Hey, Captain Benson," Theresa replied with a nervous smile.
"Oh, please; no need to be so formal. Just call me Olivia," Olivia corrected her with a soft laugh.
"Speak for yourself," Theresa retorted with a smirk. "You're always so serious and uptight at that precinct. It's nice to see you lighten up for a change."
"It's nice to hear you say that," Olivia replied, her smile widening as she nearly broke out into a laugh at Theresa's comment.
"Yeah, all I need is a drink and then I'm a happy camper," Theresa chuckled slightly with a bright grin.
"So how are things going on your end?" Olivia asked her curiously.
"Work is going great, actually," Theresa answered, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I've actually been approached by Chelsea Hamilton to showcase some of my fashion designs for this new company that she's running with her cousin."
"That sounds amazing, but wouldn't Chelsea want to showcase some of her own fashion designs herself?" Olivia frowned uncertainly.
"Oh yeah, she also has a teen purse line that she wants her cousin Samantha to showcase," Theresa added with a sheepish grin.
"That does sound pretty fascinating," Olivia mused pensively.
"Jada Hunter's little sister Talia has also recently joined our ranks and is displaying her line of cosmetics. She has also started to show some interest in fashion and has even showed me some of her designs. I'll admit, it's pretty different," Theresa continued. "She wants to showcase a fashion line celebrating and glorifying young African American women."
"Wow, I'd definitely love to see that," Olivia raised an intrigued eyebrow.
"So, what about you, Captain? How are things on your end?" Theresa inquired.
"They couldn't possibly be better," Olivia declared with a proud smile. "Elliot and I are very happy and our relationship is stronger than it's ever been. And Noah actually has a father figure in his life, which is great because he's at a point in his life where he's really going to need one."
"I get what you mean," Theresa sighed dejectedly with a terse frown. "I just wish that Brady was still around. And I don't mean that blonde faker that everyone insists is the real Brady."
She narrowed her eyes sharply as she said this.
"I'm really sorry, Theresa," Olivia said with a rueful and soft gaze as she placed a sympathetic arm on her shoulder. "I really am."
"It's okay; I'm used to it," Theresa sighed deeply while glancing away from her, feeling very flustered all of a sudden. "I've been raising Tate and Josie Faye on my own for so long that I've almost forgotten what it was like for them to have a real family, to have a father in their life."
"J.J. came pretty close though, although he didn't really stick around for long. I really thought that maybe he was actually going to turn out to be the real love of my life and that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together, but I couldn't even compete with my own niece, and he ended up choosing her anyway, so…"
"I'm still grateful to him for the way that he was so supportive towards me when Kristen kidnapped the kids that one time and I was panicking and out of my mind with worry and fear. I don't know what I would've done if he wasn't around."
"Well, let's hope that this relationship with Joe Junior is the real deal then," Olivia declared with a supportive smile.
"Yeah, me too," Theresa exhaled sharply while letting out her breath slowly. "I'm pretty much done fooling around with random guys that I barely know anyway and I'm ready to settle down and have a real family."
"Glad to hear it," Olivia beamed approvingly.
"Dinner is ready, everyone!" Bernadette hollered while gesturing for everyone to come over to the dinner table.
The guests then flocked over to the dinner table and sat down in their respective seats as Sharon, Dee and Eli's girlfriend Becky helped serve the plates with food. It wasn't long before everyone settled down as they began to eat their fill.
"Wow, this is really good, Ma!" Joe Junior grinned happily as he took a bite of the ham.
"Glad you like it, Joey," Bernadette smiled sweetly as she took a bite of her mashed potatoes.
"This lamb is delish," Theresa beamed as she was munching on her lamb.
"Thank you; Sharon and I spent many hours cooking and marinating the lamb; it was a lot of hard work," Dee explained with a proud and satisfied smile. "I really love cooking; I need something productive to do especially since I'm not working as a nurse anymore."
"With my supervision of course," Sharon interjected firmly with a pointed glare directed at her twin sister.
"Hey, I'm not an invalid, you know!" Dee scowled angrily, getting agitated and irritated. "I can handle myself in the kitchen."
"I know, but you tend to get really overboard when you're cooking or baking something, especially when you're baking something," Sharon admonished her sternly. "I still remember a few years ago when we were still living in Florida when you wanted to make some arroz con leche and it ended up spilling out of the oven like a massive tidal wave and practically flooded the whole kitchen floor!"
"It was an accident, Sharon! I didn't mean for that to happen! How many fucking times do I need to keep apologizing for that screwup!" Dee snapped irritably with narrowed eyes.
"Deidre, language!" Bernadette scolded her daughter sternly. "And Sharon, please stop antagonizing your sister!"
"I'm not antagonizing her, Ma! I'm not!" Sharon groaned exasperatedly as she turned to look at Dee sympathetically. "It's okay, Dee. I know it wasn't really your fault. And I'm glad that you're actually focusing on something positive instead of getting hopped on pills and drunk on booze all the time."
Dee smiled weakly yet sheepishly at her before she resumed eating.
"So Eli," Olivia quickly interjected in order to change the subject and take the focus off of Sharon and Dee. "You must be really excited for the baby's arrival."
"We are, Ms. Benson," Becky beamed happily as she snuggled into Eli's arms and they smiled at each other.
"Do you have any idea if it's going to be a boy or a girl?" Theresa inquired curiously.
"I'd prefer that we keep that a secret for now," Becky answered as she and Eli shared knowing looks. "It's a surprise."
"Ooh, surprise gender reveal," Theresa grinned excitedly as she took another bite of her lamb.
Meanwhile, Josie Faye was busy whispering and gossiping with a pair of blonde twin girls as they were all laughing and giggling; one of them wore a pink dress with her hair tied in fancy pigtails and the other one wore a green dress with her hair loose and neatly combed.
"Your daughter seems to be getting along well with Elizabeth's girls," Joe Junior commented with a wry smile.
"What are their names exactly?" Theresa quipped while taking a sip of water.
"Bridget and Saoirse. Bridget is the one wearing the pink dress and Saoirse is the one with the green dress. Elizabeth always has them wearing different hairstyles and different colored outfits so that people can tell them apart," Joe Junior explained. "Besides, pink is Bridget's favorite color and green is Saorise's."
"Ah, I see," Theresa nodded understandingly.
"So, do you have any twins in your family?" Joe Junior asked.
"Well, the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are my cousin Sami's kids Johnny and Allie. I know the Hortons have two sets of twins – one was my aunt Hope's bio mom Addie and her twin brother Tommy and the other are Eli and Lani's kids Marty and Jules," Theresa answered. "That's basically it."
"So Richard, when are you and Christina going to start a family of your own?" Bernadette asked.
"We're thinking about it," Richard answered as he and Tina shared apprehensive and uneasy looks. "It's just that we've been so busy at our jobs and work has been very hectic as of late. But we'll get around to it. If it's going to happen, then it'll happen. We can't force it."
"Of course," Bernadette nodded understandingly. "I just hope God blesses the both of you with a child soon, but not before you two tie the knot!"
Elizabeth just stared at her plate with a nervous grimace as she fidgeted with her mashed potatoes.
"And what about you, Elizabeth? Are you seeing a special someone yet?" Bernadette asked.
"Well…" Elizabeth hesitated as she looked up to face her grandmother directly. "I am actually. And it's a she, not a he."
Bernadette's eyes widened in surprise and disbelief as Elliot's face contorted uncomfortably at the news.
"Oh? Since when are you into other girls?" Bernadette inquired her suspiciously, not believing what she was hearing. "It's not because of how things turned out between you and the girls' father, is it?"
"Not really, Grandma," Elizabeth answered, growing more uncomfortable and apprehensive by the minute as she struggled to maintain her gaze. "I mean, my marriage imploding didn't help matters, but to be honest, I've been in denial for a very long time and it's until now that I've come to terms with who I really am."
"So who's this mystery woman you've been seeing, little sis?" Richard questioned her with wagging, suggestive eyebrows.
"Knock it off, Richard!" Elizabeth snapped tersely as she turned to face Bernadette. "Well, she's a very successful and accomplished doctor and she's divorced with three kids. We've only just started seeing each other recently and I'm not too keen on introducing her to the family just yet. Maybe I'll bring her in on Thanksgiving."
"Is she hot at least? Because it would really suck if you're banging a total ogre," Richard kept on heckling and taunting his twin sister while snickering to himself and Elizabeth shot him a dirty, pointed look before smacking him on the right arm.
"Richard, quit it! You're being very rude!" she growled irately.
Theresa stared at Elizabeth intently with suspicious and wary eyes as she couldn't help but get the distinct feeling that the person she was talking about sounded oddly familiar for some reason.
"Hey, Theresa, you okay?" Joe Junior asked as he noticed that his girlfriend was now inexplicably staring off into space.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," Theresa flashed a nervous smile as she shook her head furiously. "It's nothing, really."
Then as the hours passed, everyone was done with their meals and Bernadette began serving all kinds of dessert, including apple pie, peach cobbler and strawberry cheesecake. Dee was beaming and laughing as she was happily bragging about Kenny's children.
"You really should see them, Ma. They are just so adorable! They are the sweetest things. Very intelligent and bright too," Dee rambled excitedly as she was taking occasional bites of the cheesecake, while Sharon was devouring her slice of apple pie. "I have pictures on my phone that I can show you."
"Later, Deidre, after dessert," Bernadette informed her gently with a dismissive wave of her hand.
"Of course, Ma," Dee stammered, feeling suddenly deflated with her face completely crestfallen and her shoulders sagging.
Sharon offered an encouraging and supportive smile at Dee as she rubbed her back tenderly, which did not go unnoticed by Bernadette.
"I hope that foolish nonsense between you two has ended by now," she said with her eyes narrowed darkly.
"It has, Ma," Sharon reassured her calmly, her voice even as she maintained a fiery gaze at her mother. "As a matter of fact, I'm seeing someone. He's a very successful and handsome defense lawyer that specializes in civil rights. I've tried to get Dee into the dating scene, but it hasn't been easy, especially with her mental health issues, but I might have found her a friend."
"A friend? What kind of friend?" Bernadette inquired quizzically.
"Recently Dee has befriended an older blonde woman named Carolyn Martin, who is also a doctor," Sharon explained. "She seemed very lonely and I figured that she could use a friend, so I introduced them, and to my surprise, they seemed to hit it off pretty well. Time will only tell how their relationship will ultimately pan out."
"Oh, that is wonderful to hear," Bernadette smiled approvingly as she took a bite of her apple pie.
A short time later, when everyone was done with dessert and were now settling down and relaxing for the evening, Elliot took his mother aside and pulled her into the hallway so that he could have a private conversation with her.
"What the hell was that, Ma? Huh?" Elliot demanded sternly. "Why were you ragging on Sharon like that in front of everyone?"
"Well, I wanted to know if Sharon and Dee were still having relations," Bernadette answered tersely, feeling a bit flustered and bewildered.
"Ma, you know that's been over and done with for a long while now," Elliot tried to reassure her calmly as to not get her so riled up.
"I hope so, for both of their sakes. It's one thing for them to be homosexuals, but for them to have such a twisted, disgusting, perverted relationship with each other…" Bernadette stammered and whimpered with an appalled and mortified look in her eyes. "What did I do wrong, Elliot? What did I do wrong? What did I do that was so horrible that made them think that it was a good idea to be screwing each other, right in our own home!"
"Ma, it's not your fault, okay?" Elliot replied with a sympathetic and gentle smile as he tried to comfort his mother while she was practically sobbing and breaking down in his arms. "It's not your fault, okay? You didn't do anything wrong. It's not your fault. Dad was doing some really awful and horrible things to them, and they turned to each other in response. He's in the wrong here, not you."
"They were always so close," Bernadette sniffled as she kept on sobbing. "Even as children they were always so inseparable. I never imagined just how close they would actually be, especially as they got older."
"I know," Elliot nodded as he gazed at her fondly. "You did the absolute best that you could with us. You have to believe that."
Bernadette nodded slowly as she gazed up at Elliot sadly with an anguished look in her eyes.
"You are a good man, Elliot; you always have been. I've never been more proud of you. I just hope you and the rest of this family are strong enough to break free from this generational curse that's been inflicted on us for so long."
"So do I, Ma; so do I," Elliot agreed and he and Bernadette hugged each other, with Bernadette clinging tightly to him as tears welled up in her eyes.
Meanwhile, back in the living room, Keith, Randall and Joe Junior were sitting on the couch together as they were busy watching a football game.
"So how are things with you and Pilar?" Keith asked Randall curiously.
"It's going great so far," Randall replied confidentially with a raucous laugh. "Never been happier. You know, you should try dating sometime, big brother."
"Nah, not interested," Keith waved his hand dismissively while taking a swig of beer. "Besides, I've had one great love in my life, and she ain't here anymore. I just wish that she was here to watch Marianne and Matthew grow up and have families of their own."
"True that," Randall nodded in agreement as he also took a big swig of his beer. "What about you, Joey?"
"Me and Theresa are going pretty steady, if you must know," Joe Junior retorted tersely with an eye roll.
"Took you long enough to commit to that girl, if you ask me," Keith scoffed while glaring at him pointedly.
"And what the hell does that even mean?" Joe Junior growled while pointing a dirty look in his direction.
"I'd say that was a pretty bitch move to leave that girl high and dry with your child when you were off gallivanting to God knows where!" Keith snapped at him disdainfully.
"What the fuck did you just say to me, you asshole?" Joe Junior growled furiously with his eyes flaring with rage as he suddenly stood up to his feet, prepared to fight Keith.
"If I didn't know any better, I would think that you considered her as nothing more than an easy lay that you can just forget about and move on," Keith continued with an arrogant and contemptuous smirk on his face.
"She is not an easy lay! She is the mother of my daughter! I love her! I gave up my old ways for her!" Joe Junior insisted belligerently as he stared Keith down, getting even more agitated and irate.
"Hey, hey, hey; knock it off, the both of you!" Randall interjected as he held them back with both hands as to prevent a major fight from breaking out. "You are not going to duke it out here at Ma's house; I'm not having any of this bullshit. You understand?"
"Yes, Randall," Joe Junior groaned apologetically with an abashed and remorseful grimace.
"All right, all right, Randall; we'll knock it off for Ma's sake, okay?" Keith sighed with an exasperated scowl and eye roll.
"You better," Randall growled admonishingly as he stared both men down, letting them know that he meant business.
Eventually, however, tensions calmed down between the three brothers and before long it was time for Joe Junior and Theresa to go.
"I really wish that you could stay just a little while longer, Joey," Bernadette pleaded as Joe Junior smiled lovingly at his mother.
"Don't worry, Ma; I'll be back soon, I promise," Joe Junior vowed as he hugged and kissed her.
"And don't forget to bring that little darling angel of yours with you too," Bernadette added with an eager smile.
"I will, Ma!" Joe Junior grinned as he and Theresa walked back to their spaceship with Gabrielle in Theresa's arms and Tate and Josie Faye in tow.

A short time later, everyone was finally on board as they were heading back to Fairmont Crest.
"Bernie's house was so much fun, Mommy!" Josie Faye cheered excitedly. "I'm glad that I wasn't the only girl in that house!"
"So I take it that you and Tate had a nice time?" Theresa quipped with a bright smile.
"Yeah!" Josie Faye and Tate chorused.
"Noah was just showing me some cool games that he just got on his Nintendo Switch. I want to get them too! Can I, Mom? Can I?" Tate pleaded.
"I'll think about it; we'll see how much they cost," Theresa reassured her son calmly as she then turned to face Joe Junior as he was focused on driving.
"That was a really nice Easter dinner."
"I think so too," Joe Junior agreed while rubbing his head sheepishly. "I nearly got into it with Keith though; it was a real knucklehead move on my part."
"What were you guys even fighting about in the first place?" Theresa inquired curiously while trying to hold back her laughter.
"Well… Keith was just talking crap about you and I was simply defending your honor, that's all," Joe Junior admitted with a sheepish grimace. "Can't you at least give a guy some credit?"
"You silly goober," Theresa smirked playfully at him with a shake of her head. "You really are a dork."
"You're worth it, Theresa; you know, I can actually see us having a wonderful and bright future together," Joe Junior smiled confidentially.
Theresa smiled back with a soft laugh as she gazed at him tenderly before grabbing him and pulling him into a loving embrace.
"I love you, Joseph Junior."
"I love you too, Jeannie Theresa," Joe Junior declared as the two leaned in and shared a passionate kiss.
TLSTLSTLSTLS
Meanwhile, Elizabeth was back at her New York City apartment as she was sitting in her living room while Face-Timing with someone on her cell phone.
"Hey babe; I hope your Easter went well," she said.
"Yeah, I had a great time with Andrew and his folks," Noelle replied with a smile as she was sitting up in bed while wearing a simple white nightgown. "The kids were so thrilled to see their grandparents. I wish that you could've been there with me."
"Yeah, I know," Elizabeth sighed sadly. "Maybe next year. You know, I was actually considering bringing you over to my grandmother's house for Easter this year, but I wasn't so sure how my family was going to react to seeing us together. Coming out to them was nerve-wrecking enough as it is."
"I can't even imagine," Noelle frowned sympathetically. "So how did your family take the news?"
"Well, my dad isn't exactly a very happy camper about it, but he'll get over it soon enough. Besides, he's got bigger things to worry about at the moment like that Los Santos trial that's supposed to happen in a few weeks and Eli becoming a dad," Elizabeth retorted briskly.
"That's super insane, Liz," Noelle breathed in awe. "So, what do you think about your little brother becoming a dad for the first time?"
"It's not the first time he's going to be a dad, you know," Elizabeth pursed her lips pensively. "He has a son with that Allie Horton girl."
"Oh, right! I forgot; totally slipped my mind," Noelle laughed while rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "Sorry about that."
"That's all right," Elizabeth replied with a gentle, supportive smile. "You know, I did see my Uncle Joey with a blonde-haired woman at the gathering; I think her name is Theresa Donovan."
"You're kidding, right?" Noelle balked in surprise and astonishment. "Are you serious? You really are talking about Andrew's little sister Jeannie Theresa Donovan?"
"Yeah, the one and the same. Why?" Elizabeth quipped.
"Because Theresa used to be my sister-in-law and we know each other pretty well," Noelle explained.
"Now that you mention it, Theresa did give me a very funny look during dinner when I was talking about who my new girlfriend was. It was almost as if she knew or at least suspected who I could be possibly dating," Elizabeth mused.
"I wouldn't be surprised; Theresa has a very uncanny ability to read people and get a good sense of who they are. It's a gift that she has," Noelle quipped.
She then paused for a moment and yawned deeply before she continued speaking.
"Well, anyways; I got to get ready for bed. I have a very busy day tomorrow at the medical clinic. Good night."
"Good night; talk to you later," Elizabeth replied back as the Face-Time call ended and the screen soon went black.
Noelle then put her cell phone down on the night table to her right as she sank into her bed and let out a deep, slow exhale.
"Boy, this is going to be really awkward."
The End.
