Frank's POV:

"Babe, you two ready in there?" I said from the other side of the closed bathroom door. "Daddy, what's taking so long?" Milly asked in a babbling voice like she was trying to push all of her words together. "Pa is just taking a while to get ready. You know how he is," I said with a little chuckle as I picked her up. "Hey, I heard that. It's not my fault. Lennie can't decide what dress she wants to wear." Matt said in a sarcastic tone. I could tell he was rolling his eyes just by the way he sounded.

"Lennie hun what's wrong?" I asked as I opened the door to see her trying on a third dress. This one was blue, and Matt was fixing his tie to the best of his ability. "I don't wanna wear a dress, Daddy. Can't I just wear a suit like you, and pa?" She asked as she pouted her lip and crossed her arms. Wow, in that moment, you could definitely see that she is a Matt's carbon copy.

I stood there for a moment as I thought about what she had just asked. "Stay right here, girls. I got to talk to Pa real quick, ok?" I said as I put milly down next to Lennie and pulled Matt out of the bathroom. "Babe, did you hear her?" I said with a little cheeky smile. "Yeah, I did. Are you ok with her wanting to wear a suit?" Matt asked as he bit his bottom lip nervously. "Of course, love. God, she's getting so independent." I said as I felt my eyes begin to slightly burn with tears forming. "Ha, I know. How did she grow up so fast," Matt said with a little chuckle as he grabbed my hands, squeezing them.

After a moment of silence, and of me just staring into Matt's eyes, I finally spoke up. "Are you ok with this?" I asked Matt in a hushed tone. "Yes. I'm just glad that she feels that we love her enough that she feels comfortable to tell this us. I am so freaking happy to have them as our little girls." He said as his voice began to crack. "Hey baby, not here, ok? No crying," I said as I tried to hold back my tears.

"Pa, Daddy, are you ok?" Milly asked as she walked over to us, grabbing our pinky fingers. "Yeah, we're ok, baby. We're just so proud of you and your sister for becoming strong and independent, girlie's," I said as I pinched her cheek.

"Hey Lennie sweetheart, can you come here," I said as I stuck my arms out. She had a huge smile on her face as she hopped into my arms. "How do you feel about us going suit shopping for you, doll?" Matt asked as he put his free hand on her shoulder. Lennie lit up like a candle and jumped up and down. "Yay," she said as she wrapped her little arms around my neck and squeezed me as tightly as she possibly could.

"May I ask why you want to wear a suit more than a dress, love?" I asked as we all put our shoes on. "I don't feel comfortable in them," she said in a whisper voice as tears began to form in her eyes. "I'm sorry." She said as her little voice cracked, and the tears began to stream down her cheeks. "Oh, don't be sorry, love. Never be sorry for the way you're feeling or for the way you want to dress, ok?" I said as I wiped her tears away and gave her a little kiss. She nodded as she rested her little head on my shoulder.

"Hold Papa's hand, dear," I called out to Minny as I shut and locked the door. I felt proud to be their dad's. I felt like we did a good enough job that they feel loved enough to be real confident with themselves. Our little girls are growing up.
