Sitting atop of a rooftop, Kamijou stared into the soaring skyline of Academy City reflecting on today's events.

It's amazing how quickly things go to shit at such short notice, especially during a serene sunny afternoon on a place like Nature Park. He had no clue as to how these Tremors happen, and he had no clue what he could do against such severe events happening. He could fight off dozens of delinquents on his own, but how can you fight a disaster of this scale? He had realistic expectations of his own capabilities; he doubted he could defeat a Powered Suit on his own even with his own enhanced strength, he travelled fast with his weblines but he wouldn't outswing an unmanned drone, and an explosion would still do him in as much as the next person. He was only as strong as the strongest street thug he could fight, and his Imagine Breaker was only an equalizer on certain, specific circumstances. That was the extent of his general abilities.

Leaping up and down saving who he could in Nature Park during that Tremor wasn't enough for the vigilante. If anything, he could've been a lot faster saving everyone. 12 people were left behind, and some of them were in places he couldn't reach fast enough. They suffered pretty nasty bruising, and that should've been it. But he could've been faster.

After what had happened a year ago with Ayu Mitsuari, he never wanted a repeat of that going on. He tried to do even more, help more, save more. But reality would settle in, and eventually he accepted that, as much as he tried to he can never be in two places at once. The best he can do, is act when the moment presents itself.

But these weird and odd powers that happened as a result of the spider that bit him made it all those days and nights helping and saving people much easier than before.

He should've done better in Nature Park.

"...god, this is a pain to deal with," Kamijou grumbled burying his face on his hands. He hadn't a clue on what to do now.

Except, to fight the good fight perhaps.

Judgement might've been keeping the peace around the District, but it couldn't hurt to have a second hand in helping things go smoothly for the rest.

"Duty calls." Kamijou put on his mask, feeling his Instinct blare out and warning him of a mugging a couple blocks down from where he was.

The alert guided him into the alleyways, which he started to grow more and more familiar with as he continued his covert activities. Not that he wasn't familiar around them in the first place; after all he was a misfortunate fellow in the first place, and having been chased around the city at night it pays to remember each and every nook and cranny of the alleys to survive. The same thing holds true for the delinquents and petty criminals who frequent these areas, and who exploit the general unfamiliarity of the general populace for their own sinister purposes. Occasionally he would end up having to save a couple folks from assault or harassment from delinquents, as it so happens. As a result Kamijou could remember every corner of each alleyway within District 7 and beyond, with the back of his hand. The spider powers helped with making sure he wouldnt forget them, but not for escapes though they still happen outside of the costume.

He clung to the side of the wall within the alley, looking below with the same disdain he held for these lowlifes as with previous encounters.

Young couple, surrounded by ten thugs, backs against the wall.

A line here, a glob there, several punches and kicks around, the occasional esper power thrown here and there, it didn't matter. Kamijou dealt with it as casually as ordering a hotdog.

"Thanks a lot Spiderman, what could've happened if you hadn't jumped in," the girl half of the couple said.

"Stay clear of the dark portions of the alleys, and keep an open eye around. Otherwise, stay clear of the alleyways in the first place OK?" Kamijou quickly spoke, preparing a line to guide them out of the alley.

The familiar blare of his Instinct then guided him somewhere in District 7, and after saying his goodbyes to the couple he went and swung off to where danger lurks.

Thankfully instead of another attempted mugging or alley attack it was a young kid losing their pet on the street. After taking the basics from the child about their pet he went off to look for it around the area. It was a…

A pet tarantula…

"How quaint," Kamijou muttered as he continued looking for them.

"AHHHHHHH!"

"Right on time pal," Kamijou quickly said as he rushed his way down the street. He stopped in front of a coffee shop, where several customers were seen running away from the store.

When he got there he saw several of its employees holding brooms and bug spray. He sighed, lamenting at the way people resort to violence to solve their issues.

"What's the hold-up here?"

"Oh Spidey," one of them said (did he just… call him Spidey?) "Uh, we didn't really prepare anything for your arrival -we didn't even know you were coming-"

"Yeah well I got a kid who's looking for their lost pet, so if anyone's seen them lurking around in this shop it'd be much appreciated."

"...lost pet?"

"Yeah. Lost pet. The one you guys were trying to kill."

"...oh shit. Our bad," the employee nearest to him, who he noticed wasn't wearing an apron, said as she dropped her broom before motioning the others to do the same. "We'll, uh, we'll let you take this one Sir Spiderman?"

"Yep, all yours."

"Go get 'em Spidey!"

Kamijou was left alone in the shop. There was a pet tarantula unintentionally let loose in here.

Piece of cake.

And he got spider-powers himself, like it would be pretty easy to find it.

The little girl had given him her number, so if he had found Miyuki (the pet tarantula's name, he had just remembered) he could call her; he figured having her wait for that long would be brutal for her so he went and narrowed one of the employees' phones to call them up. Preparing a plate, a plastic cup, and a whaleload of patience he went to work.

An hour had passed, and by the time the girl had noisily arrived to the shop he had seen even a single mandible of Miyuki somewhere.

"Miyuki you're okay!" He turned to see the brown-haired tarantula on the girl's hand, and watched as it went inside her small box, where it landed on a nearby rock placed inside.

"Rotten luck." He sighed as he went over to the kid.

"Look Spiderman, I found Miyuki! Thanks for helping me!"

"Oh no don't thank me I didn't even-ow!" He grunted when the girl wrapped her arms around his legs.

"You were the first person to help me find my friend. When others came to help me they went and left me alone when I told them what Miyuki looked like. So yeah, you were willing to help me even though you knew what kind of insect it was. Thank you so much Spidey."

Seeing the girl's earnestness had made him smile under the mask. His initial cynicism fading he ruffled her hair and chuckled. "Well, I'm glad I went and helped out. Keep that box tight and secure alright? And also, buy something bigger for Miyuki here okay?"

"Mhm!" She happily nodded. Seeing as she looked to be around 11-12 he figured she would be fine on her own, but it pays to call on her legal guardian.

After calling the number she gave him he entrusted the employees to look after the both of them, and was about to swing off when-

"Hey, did you just… call me Spidey?"

"Uh, yeah. Spiderman was a mouthful, so I thought to make a nickname. I mean everyone's been calling you that for a while now. Wait did you just notice that?"

"Well to be fair, I rarely stop to hear people mention me like I'm a… well you know… a friend. But don't you that-"

"Hey, for a vigilante you do those antskys' and judges' jobs much better. You don't remember this I'd wager but you saved my sister's life one night, along with her boyfriend's. She mentioned it as the first time you showed up and started kicking a-butt. I don't know what would've happened if you didn't show up, and I'm glad you did. So don't sell yourself short Spidey. I think I speak for everyone when I say this, I'm glad to have you around Spidey."

"Mhm! And you help out so many people. You're a real superhero."

Kamijou stopped. This was… if he was being honest, he didn't expect his deeds to be noticed that much, but now that he was aware of this it… it made feel… weird.

His internal musings would be interrupted by a familiar blare. Quickly saying his goodbyes he swung off and went to business.

By the time night had fallen he had stopped over a dozen muggings per hour since Nature Park, and helped out several citizens with their lost items, stolen purses, directions and whatnot. He clung to the edge of a building, in a dilapidated part of the district; around where he was several abandoned buildings littered the area. He heard from rumours about this place from passing students and delinquents that this area was the site of a horrific tragedy which claimed the lives of several children.

Knowing the Darkness of this city he wasn't doubting the veracity of that story not one bit.

A shade of chocolate brown waded across his mind, and he took a deep long breath to steady himself, clenching his fists as he shook off the horrific events of that day.

He saw movement from the corner of his eye, and below him to his left he saw a lone figure, dressed in pink and white like a damn beacon in the dark, put on something like a mask, and climb over the wall. He heard a thud, and a cry of pain before he decided to check this one out.

It wasn't that purple armored ninja from weeks back, thankfully.

He landed close to the wall, and saw the figure, who he realized was a girl, near her hand in a panel. Sparks of blue electricity burst from the hand, and with a bursting noise the door beside the panel opened, allowing her to enter the door.

Great, now he knew who this girl was, and knowing her she probably is doing something dangerous. Not that he was anyone to call her out for it, but he figured she might as well have someone to bail her out. He didn't think she could handle it, but knowing her temperament she could overdo it and bring down a lot of heat towards her.

Landing in front of the door, and seeing the panel beside him he stood there for a while, before placing his hands around the edge, and using his strength to budge the door open. It was pretty easy, and the earlier shocking of the panel had made it so that the action was as smooth as opening a paper panel in an old house.

"What is this place?" He muttered as he wondered the old building, passing by several rooms, with double doors slightly open and the glass windows mostly shattered revealing old, upturned rusty chairs. He looked around more, and saw more of the same thing. He should probably find that woman and make sure she didn't find herself in any trouble-

He rose his right hand, and felt something strike the palm before dissipating. He turned to see the same girl from before, dressed in a dress that was too inappropriate for a middle school girl. Her face was covered by a Gekota mask, which doesn't even pretend to hide her real identity. "You?"

"Yeah it's me, from the highway and all, by the way what's up?"

"What the hell are you doing here?"

"Could ask the same thing. I mean what, you decided to steal my whole schtick and go vigilante all of a sudden?"

"No! This is a disguise!"

"Oh really now? Because I didn't make the connection, I mean surely you aren't the fabled Railgun of Tokiwadai aren't you?"

"Great, you blew it," Mikoto grumbled as he slid her mask aside, her frown evident. "But I'm not the only one who's shown their 'tell'. I know one idiot in this whole city who can block my attack just like that, and you fell for my trap!"

"...that was a trap?"

"...no it wasn't. But you can stop pretending. I know who you are underneath that mask."

"..."

"...I figured you'd react like that. But anyway, now that you're here, might as well stick with me. I need someone to watch my back just in case," Mikoto said rather cheerfully, almost as if she sidestepped the one thing that's been driving her crazy about. Kamijou was confused by this, but decided not to push his ever-decreasing luck and followed after her.

It took a while but he saw her open a door which led them inside a large room, filled with circular things embedded on the wall; they seemed to be connected to chambers, kinda like…

"Life support systems? But what…?"

"Look, we don't have much time, but listen to me. She's back, and we need to find her before she tries another attack."

"Another attack? Wait Misaka what are you-"

"All clear here, as you said. Yeah, I'll be there in a while. Thanks for your help."

Kamijou's ear heard the faintest voice from above. It almost sounded like…

"It's her!" He heard Mikoto say before she bolted out of the room and ran down the hallway. He quickly followed and thanks to his enhanced physique he managed to catch up to her before slowing down to match the Electromaster's speed.

"W-Wait a minute, I don't understand! Who's back, and what attacks are you talking about?!"

"Those Tremors, they weren't the result of tectonic activity, because it's impossible in the first place knowing Academy City's geographical position on Earth! Instead they're the result of Poltergeist activity caused by rampant outbursts of RSPK Syndrome! While they're usually rare enough it just so happens that someone, with enough skill and resources would be able to cause these phenomena, whether unwillingly or not. Well, Kuroko and Judgement had a trail, and I followed it here, and it regards to an old friend of our back at the highway!"

"Highway…?" Kamijou asked. What would the highway-

Then it hit him.

She couldn't…

"You mean, she's behind all this!?"

"The one and only…"

Mikoto slammed a door open, sending both teens inside, face to face with the very person who's involvement with them started even before the highway.

It was a chance meeting, with Kamijou having to help her for directions around a certain block of the city, and another one, where he nearly had his social reputation crash down and burn when they started undressing in public. And then the next one, when they fought in the highway, with all the destruction that entailed.

"Of all people… it had to be you."

"You two," Harumi Kiyama said, in a tone that seemed to imply that she expected them to appear. "Did you need something around here?"

"Are you responsible for what happened the last 2 days Kiyama?" Kamijou turned to Mikoto, face furrowed in determination, before turning to Kiyama's impassive face.

"And? What good would it be if I said I was?"

"Nothing much, it's just enough incentive to stop you with!" Mikoto exclaimed as spark flew from her bangs.

"Mikoto, wait," Kamijou went and placed his hand upon her shoulder but it was too late. By the time his Imagine Breaker negated her electric abilities her sparks had already powered up the facility, sending the whole building up and running.

"Oh rotten luck," Kamijou said. "This is the exact reason why I went in this building."

"What are you talking about? Wait you knew that I was gonna be here!?"

"No, I was around the area when you showed up, and I figured you as some petty thief and then the sparks happened and you get what I'm saying anyway so it's your fault."

"How is any of this my fault!?"

"How is it's not your fault?! Do you even think before you start sparking you trigger-happy taser-brat?!"

"What did you just call me?!"

"Oh what a pain," Kiyama sighed out, the sounds of alarms blaring and the two teens arguing filling her ears.

X

Following that unfortunate incident Kiyama had brought both teens into her car, with Mikoto taking the passenger's, and Kamijou behind, which he quickly regretted.

"You went and activated a long-dead security system with your abilities without thinking…"

"It's not like I wanted to do something like that in the first place."

"Yeah but you couldn't help yourself can you Bugzapper," Kamijou grumbled in the backseat.

"I said I was sorry!"

"Sorry's not gonna cut it young woman! I expect 40,000 prostrations from you on the double, for possibly sending the full entirety of Anti-Skill right up our asses with your idiotic antics! Am I the only one here with any sense of wisdom in this cramped-as-all-hell car!?"

Kiyama raised her hand.

"You don't count stripper lady!" Kamijou yelled, causing Mikoto to stifle a laugh, which made the driver to turn at her direction. "And furthermore, have you heard of cleaning the damn back of your car? There's barely any space around here!"

"I apologize, but I didn't expect a second one to pop up."

Mikoto managed to calm down from her brief laughing fit, and went to asking questions.

"Anyway, let's back on track, like why were you there? Who got you out on bail, and what's your plan on all this?"

Kamijou straightened his back, as much as could anyway within the cramped space, looking at Kiyama with furrowed eyes which were somehow reflected by the white buggy eyes of his mask.

"You know, you aren't the only girl who sat in that seat asking me questions with that look on their face."

"What?"

"..."

"I'll answer everything when we get there. Just hang on," Kiyama said as she pushed down the pedal, speeding the car up and sending both Mikoto and Kamijou back into the seats, with Kamijou groaning in pain as he felt something poke into his hip painfully.

"Rotten fucking luck."

10 minutes later, and all three arrived to their destination.

"What is this place?" Mikoto asked.

"No way… the hospital?"

Mikoto turned to the boy, shock in his tone.

"They're waiting for us inside," Kiyama said as he walked into the entrance.

Mikoto followed Kamijou as both teens followed the brunette into the hospital. They continued until Kiyama went into an elevator, motioning the both of them to follow.

A while later, and the elevator opened, revealing a large room with a window at the far center of the room, which was lit.

"What's this place? Why did you take us here? And tell me, are you responsible for those Tremors over the last couple days?" Kamijou grabbed the woman's collar, his patience running thin. "I am not in the mood for games Kiyama, so you better have a damn good explanation for why-"

"It can't be…"

Kamijou turned to Mikoto, and his gaze followed hers to the window, his grip on Kiyama's blouse loosening as he walked over to her skde. Shock and horror hidden in his mask, he beheld the contents of the brightened room in front of him.

"You peeked in my memories during that time didn't you? So you know who these children are?"

"Yes…"

"Mikoto?"

"They're… they're…" Mikoto couldn't get her words out, as she was still shocked about all of this.

So Kiyama finished for her. "Yes… they're my students."

Kamijou turned to Mikoto. "You knew about this?"

"Yes. I… unintentionally read her memories when I did that maneuver to shock her point-blank. I saw everything, all of it. Including the faces of her students."

"Which means…?" He slowly turned to Kiyama's position.

"She's responsible for the recent Poltergeist attacks."

"That's right."

Kamijou noticed the sparks coming out of Mikoto's crown, which he quickly got rid of with his Imagine Breaker. She turned around indignantly but he directed her attention to somewhere in the room before she could voice out her complaint. It was the frog faced doctor who stepped out of the shadows.

"Doc?"

"It's great to see you again Ms. Misaka. And I have to say, it's an honor meeting the one man who's been making my job for the past few months easier. I would thank you and slightly chide you for gradually taking away my main source of income, but it'd be a conflict of interest to do so."

"I make no promises," Kamijou slowly said.

"You know him?"

"No," he lied. "But if you hadn't heard of the Good Doctor of District 7 even in passing you'd be living under a rock."

"You sound familiar. Almost like a regular of mine, who suddenly stopped visiting all those months ago."

Kamijou's eyes widened, afraid that his identity was about to be revealed.

"But then again, I've met many patients with voices like yours so it's probably nothing of consequence."

"Wait I don't understand. Why is he here? What is going on?Come to think of it… are you helping her?" Mikoto asked.

"I am," he said instantly.

"But why? Why he is involved in this? Furthermore what are the children doing here?"

"...Gensei Kihara." the Doctor only said.

And with that, the Doctor explained everything about the heartless devil of a being dressed in human skin that was Gensei Kihara, his research into Ability Crystals, and how one could produce such material through the neurological secretions of Runaway Espers. With this crystal an Esper can drastically increase their abilities, and it was hypothesized that enough of the material can perhaps draw an individual Esper into a level equal to that of the gods, a person who achieved SYSTEM, the highest possible rank in the Power Curriculum Program; Level 6.

But at what cost?

As was obvious by the comatose children within the chambers in the room below, there was nothing Gensei Kihara would do to accomplish his goals. Everything to him was "resources for his research", "raw materials", "necessary components to the procedure", and all sorts of vile words the monster used to describe the victims of his experiments.

Mikoto stood in silent horror, trying to find her words. But someone spoke for her.

"These children suffered for nothing, and were abandoned like trash… and this. All this… all this for some lousy wish to create some hypothetical monster?" Kamijou grit his teeth, muscles in his hands and arms coiled into a fist as he imagined the way he would pummel this Gensei bastard's face into the ground for all the vile things he must answer for. "Those damn bastards are gonna pay for this…"

Mikoto bristled at the pure venom the boy emitted. She knew who he was, learned how he fought, and how brazen he seemed around her, as well as the levity he displays throughout the many times she had met him either alone or with her friends… and so it was jarring and frankly terrifying to hear pure and utter wrath come out of the boy's mouth.

"I've been doing what I can to get them out of their current predicament," the Doctor said. "I've hoped my skills as a doctor would allow me to save them. Luckily I knew someone around who allowed me to transfer them all in my care. My name holds a certain weight in this City, after all. However I did need a specialist to help me how to safely revive them without further complications."

"That's how you made bail," Mikoto realized.

"If it weren't for him I'd be rotting in a cell with no hope of seeing them awake," Kiyama only said. "Thanks to this facility and his resources I have found a way that roughly bring them back into their comas."

"So you can save them?" Mikoto asked, a glimmer of hope in her tone.

"Unfortunately, we had some problems with that method," the Doctor added.

"Of fucking course there's a problem," Kamijou cursed; he was losing his patience. And why wouldn't he, when the fate of a few dozen children hangs in the balance?

"As they approach awakening, their AIM Diffusion Field begin to undergo abnormal changes," Kiyama further added. "They're losing control. They had already triggered cases of multiple simultaneous RSPK syndrome. At the rate this is going, it'd be like activating a long-dead nuclear weapon."

"Why?" Mikoto asked.

"The research has been ongoing since the incident." The Doctor added, with a grimace in his features. "A new set of Ability Crystal have been in production, and its effects have drastically been improved from the original batch…"

"...and he turned these children into runaway espers, despite their deep slumber," Kiyama explained. "I've tried to wake them many times, but it always results in a Poltergeist event. I fear that if I wake them again, it would result in a more destructive event, one that could tear the whole city asunder. I have a developed a vaccine program which would allow them to awake without triggering a Poltergeist… but to develop it I need data from the "First Sample", the very first test subject of the experiment, to complete the cure. I went to that laboratory you found me in to look for it, but I found the facility was wiped out of all traces of data. It was a loose end. But it doesn't matter, that data is out there somewhere. And as long as my heart will allow I won't rest until I find it and use it to save my children."

"...and if you can't?" Kamijou proposed.

"I will do so without it."

"Even knowing the danger it poses to the city?!" Mikoto exclaimed, shocked at Kiyama's lack of regard for human life.

"I've given up a chance at a happy life with them to let you interfere, I will not let them stay asleep for even a damn SECOND if it means I can save them at this point!"

"Wait, what if there's a way?" Kamijou posed, his hand clenched. "If… if an ability existed that would negate abilities, we can use it to contain their powers while they're beginning to awaken-"

"It won't work, unfortunately." The Doctor cut in. "Let's say this ability exists, what if the effect isn't absolute? What if said ability left the contact of those children, and it would cause the Poltergeist to happen even when conscious?"

Kamijou lowered his head, fist clenched.

"You did your best, Kamijou, but there's no way your ability would be enough to save them," the Doctor whispered to him as he grasped his shoulder.

"You knew?"

"The question, and your voice and mannerisms. You aren't that clever for me Kamijou-kun," Doc added with a smile. It did nothing to calm the frustration in his chest.

"I know I'm damned for what I'm about to do, and I'll be condemned to Hell forever, but I won't let this chance slip by, not when they can awaken sooner than later!"

"You can't…"

""Without a doubt" right? You said so back at the highway right before we fought? You'd damn the whold world to save your own?"

"Yes," Kiyama said.

Mikoto felt a chill go down her spine. 'She… she can't… do this…'

"I won't allow this." Kamijou made his choice, and Kiyama made hers.

"Finally someone's speaking sense in this room," everyone turned to the elevator.

Standing in front of them, surrounded by dozens of Powered Suits, was the head of MAR herself, Therestina Lifeline.

"Therestina…"

"Hello Spidey. And Ms. Misaka, as well. We've traced the alarm you set off, and followed you al lhere. Back on today's business, we'll be confiscating everything here and transfer these children on a more secure facility where we can safely monitor and treat them. Rest assured that they'll be safe and secure, and we have our top scientists on the ready to help these children. We have a warrant for this, but I prefer if you'd turn them over voluntarily."

"It's official," Doctor held up the warrant, with the official seal of the Academy City Board of Directors.

"We are specialists in our line of work. We take our job very seriously, and we have the legal capabilities to acquire and access information you currently don't have access to. Information, in regards to a "First Sample" you mentioned a while back."

"...but…" Kiyama was unsteady, her form limp and slightly slouched over. Her breath was quickening, her face paling.

Kamijou knew what was going on in her head.

"Secure them," she commanded th Powered Suit as they began to enter the room.

"Wait! You can't-" Kiyama yelled, and was ready to charge at them before she was stopped by a pair of teens on their path.

"What are you doing?"

"You said it yourself. If we didn't like what you were doing, we'd come and stop you ourselves," Mikoto spoke as she blocked her path, with Touma on front his right hand raised.

"Move out of the way! I'm the only one who can save those children!"

"But you haven't, have you!?" Kiyama stopped as Mikoto went on. "First it was the Level Upper, then these Poltergeists… and you haven't been able to save them all even after all this time. This has to stop Kiyama, before more lives are hurt in the process."

"...Please… allow me… if I can just… I'm so close…" Kiyama weakly protested.

"Be reasonable," Kamijou spoke up. His hands hung beside him, fists unclenched. "I know you want to save those children as much as you can. And I admire that. But not like this." Kiyama went to protest but Kamijou interrupted, "Are they worth damning yourself over to save, and if they are do you honestly think they'd want that? Wouldn't they call for their teacher, the one who's been at their side, the one who fought Hell and high water for their safety, to see them? And then they find out all the things you did, the crimes you committed…They won't accept the sacrifices you made for them. They'd awaken to a worser Hell than the one before it."

Kiyama's breath hitched. She didn't… didn't mean for that to happen, she just wanted them to…

"Banri Edasaki," Kiyama turned to Mikoto. "She's one of your students right? Well, her friend Haruue's a friend of mine, and she's asked for my friends' help to look for her. She told me she could hear her voice. For all these years."

Kiyama, stunned at Mikoto's revelation, could only nod aimlessly before she moved out of the way.

Kamijou watched as the Powered Suits carried them all away, and what was left was an empty room, not unlike the one he and Mikoto found back in the facility. He looked to see her gone, her plastic Gekota mask abandoned at the floor, crushed probably by the Powered Suits as they went with their jobs.

Only he, Kiyama, and the Doctor were left.

And yet…

Kamijou felt a bad taste in his mouth, seeing the woman stare blankly into the empty room.

"It's best for you if you had left, Spiderman," he turned to the Doctor, face passive. "It'll be okay. I'll let you know if some developments happen."

Kamijou nodded, and went to leave.

"I didn't…" he turned to the woman on the floor, tears unshed as she muttered in despair. "I didn't realize… I only wanted to save them…"

Kamijou felt bad, as his words probably stung her greatly. He didn't mean to be overly harsh, he just didn't want her to do something stupid.

"...If anything, you did what you could under the circumstances you found yourself in. I just hate the fact that you got dealt with a bad hand in life. I don't blame you for thinking the way you do… but I hope you find comfort in the fact that you can see them once more, and that you manage to find the light once again. It's what they would've wanted for you, Kiyama-sensei."

Kamijou left the room as the woman's wails echoed within the empty space.
