Before I begin, I would like to say something to everyone who has been DMing me asking if they want to collaberate with me: ABSOLUTELY NOT! The way you guys have been doing it is annoying and a plague on this website. If you guys don't stop, I will have to close my DMs. And I already lost connection to someone becasue of you guys, so don't act like I don't know who you are! And with that public service announcement out of the way, the REAL introduction:
Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distnace Ship"! Last time, Ash continued his trek to the ferry that will take him to Sootopolis City and his 8th gym badge, and ended up catching Snorunt! Meanwhile, Misty reunited with Lily the Pokewitch, and like last time, one of her spells didn't quite go to plan. What is in store for our heroes today? Well, let's find out, as we cover one of my favorite Season 8 episodes!

Hey Misty! Togetic looks kinda cute as a human. She almost looks like you, and could easily pass as your daughter. Sure, she has white hair, but none of your sisters have your hair color. I hope your little mommy-daughter day went as well. My day went well as we are inching ever closer to the ferry that will take us to Sootopolis City. And as the title suggests, Max even made a new friend!
You see, he encountered a sick Ralts, and we had to bring it to the Pokemon Center. Max mostly had to do it by himself (although I had Snorunt aid him), as May, Brock, and I had to deal with Team Rocket and their nonsense. (Meowth and Jessie disguised themselves as Kirlia and Gardevoir, Ralts' evolutions, and were exposed by May's Pokedex… and they tried the same disguises AGAIN later on!) But still, Max got to the Pokemon Center safely, just like he promised a real Kirlia and Gardevoir, and Ralts' family, he would. I could tell that they didn't want to say goodbye, but Max promised that they would meet again once he became a trainer, and that Ralts would be his first Pokemon. Anyways, we are almost to the ferry, so the next time we talk, I will surely win my 8th gym badge and be ready for the Hoenn League! Wish me luck!

Hey, Ash! I am glad to hear that Max made a new friend. It is honestly a shame that he isn't old enough to be a trainer yet, as I think their bond would have been incredible with what you told me. Maybe May could have caught Ralts for Max, and eventually put it in his name for when the day he turns 10 comes. Some of my Pokemon were originally caught by my own family members, and became my own when I turned 10… still, good luck on your Sootopolis City gym battle. Togetic and I will be rooting for you!
Speaking of Togetic, our little mother-daughter day went well. The best part of the day came right before we arrived back at the gym, when Togetic asked if I could still see her as my daughter after she reverts back to her normal form. I told her that we would always be mother and child, no matter what she looked like. I feel like this day helped us get even closer… and my sisters didn't even make a mess of things at the gym while I was gone, so that is another win!
Misty
And that just about does it for this chapter. Fun fact, I was originally going to have May catch Ralts for Max, but I decided against it at the last minute. I still plan on writing a chapter featuring an alternitive ending for the episode, and an alternate email exchange between Ash and Misty. And who knows, maybe I will make the new ending the canon one to this story. If enough of you support the new ending, which I plan on uploading in two weeks, I will make THAT the official one in the ALDS-verse. So if you want to see Max and Ralts be a team despite him not being a trainer (something that happened three generations later), remember to review, and favorite and follow! ANYTHING for support! I will see you guys next time!
