Harry Potter doesn't belong to me (despite my dreams) all hail JK Rowling.

Sorry for and gramaical errors I'm so tired. Also REVIEW PLEASE!! :)

Harry felt groggy still. It had been three days since he woke up on his bed in Professor McGonagall's home and six days after Dumbledore took him back to his uncle. He was furious at the man as was his new guardian.

Professor McGonagall was an amazing person. Harry never had time to think about it in class, but she was protective and strict, but also nice. In just the three days he has gotten to know her, she has been much better than the Dursleys could ever be.

She only left him at night and almost cried with joy when he finally woke up. She also cursed out the headmaster so Harry was open arms. The professor never left him, except at night, and obviously cared for him deeply.

Just then she returned with a stack of letters in her hand, "Hello, Harry," she greeted. "Your friends can't see you yet because you're still too weak but I had them all write letters."

Harry smiled at her, the Dursleys would have had him clean the house thrice by this point! But not Professor McGonagall, she had told him to take it easy and actually cared. There was a short list of people he actually felt he could trust. There were the Weasleys, Hermione, Professor Lupin, and Sirius. The professor was added to this list when the first words he heard come out of the professor's mouth when first he awoke were, "Oh thank god, Harry! I was so worried!"

Harry was still very groggy at this point as the only thing he remembered about his short trip was pain and his relative's faces. Needless to say, Harry was very confused when he awoke.

"Thank you so much, Ma'am!" he said, reaching for them.

She smiled and left the room to give him some privacy.

There was a short note on top from the Transfiguration teacher explaining who they were from.

The following notes are from Mrs Weasley, Professor Dumbledore, Miss Weasley, Miss Granger, Mrs Granger, Madame Amelia Bones, Madame Pomfrey, Professor Snape, Mr Black, Mr Lupin and Mr Ronald Wealsey. There are also notes from your relatives detailing your experience there that you must sign off of before the official trial starts.

Harry smiled and opened the first letter from Mrs. Weasley

Harry,

Let me start off by saying that I am very sorry I never noticed before. I know Professor McGonagall explained how you ended up in the hospital wing the first time and let me say I have never been more relieved in my life. Seeing you there was horrible! I am very sorry it happened and if your 'family' escapes prison again I will kill all three of them and Albus Dumbledore! It was so wrong what that man did and I am very sorry. Hopefully we can get him arrested too, but I doubt it after all he's done for the wizarding world.

I also want to apologize about Ron. His letter likely will not be very pleasant and I don't know what is going on with him. He doubts you were abused and thinks you are some pampered prince. I know he has never been like that before and I would bet (For the only time in my life) that he is under some type of influence from the headmaster. This is so unlike him so don't take anything he takes too personally.

Speaking of Dumbledore, he doesn't know you are with Professor McGonagall. He believes you are still with your relatives and sent his letter, which was intercepted, via owl. It will not be revealed you are not with them until their trial, which is on 22 july, 7 days from now. I am sorry to tell you, but you are required to go as the victim.

I hope you're okay still,

Mrs. Weasley

Harry talked about all of this with Professor McGonagall already, but she never mentioned Ron. Mrs Wealsey was most likely right about Dumbledore; that was exactly the type of thing he would do to keep the Dursleys from Azkaban.

Next, Harry picked up the letter from Dumbledore. He was worried about what the old wizard would have to say.

Harry,

I hope you are safe at your family's home. I am sorry for kidnapping you like that but I knew Professor McGonagall would never agree to let you return.

You are still to return to Hogwarts on 1 september for school, but you are not to leave your home until then. Owl order your books and don't contact your friends. I have told your relatives this already but wish to inform you of this change too.

Have fun with your family,

Albus Dumbledore

Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Harry glared at the letter and grabbed a spare bit of parchment from the stack next to him to write his reply.

Dumbledore,

Things here are horrible. I wish to be placed back with my legal guardian. If you continue to refuse my request, I will ignore your wishes and meet her myself. Don't even try to stop me. I could always transfer to Beauxbatons and you'd be down several students and a professor. You have no right to keep me here and I am done listening to you and your ideals.

Harry Potter

Harry set his letter aside and reached for Ginny's letter.

Harry,

I am angry with a lot of people right now. My list is as follows:

Ron- Mum assumes Dumbledore's charming him or something but I don't care. He called WCS to report Mum for making him clean the garden after he listened in on her private conversation. He also doesn't think you are abused, so his letter will be fun…

The Dursleys- I don't have to say anything except that if they leave Azkaban again, I will kill them. That's a promise

Dumbledore- I don't have to say much. He placed you with those monsters and never checked on you once. When they were arrested he released them from jail and put you back with him. I hate him.

All our friends and myself- I don't know how we didn't see anything and I'm so sorry our ignorance led to you almost dying.

You- HARRY JAMES POTTER HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL US??! We could have helped you and this never would have happened. I also think it is ridiculous that you blame yourself. Those monsters are to blame, not you.

Your conflicted friend,

Ginny

Harry smiled at the letter. He knew he should have told her or Hermione, but he knew it was his fault, (Despite what Ginny said) and he deserved to be punished. Professor McGonagall had tried talking to him too, but they just didn't understand that he was a freak and deserved what his relatives were doing.

Harry picked up Hermione's letter and read it next. It was not as long as he was expecting, but it wasn't short either.

Harry,

I am sure you're done hearing it at this point, but I am so sorry. I am sorry the Dursleys were so horrible. I am sorry I didn't notice. I am sorry Dumbledore took you back there. I am sorry!

As I understand it, we can't see you because of the risk of germs due to your compromised state. I was hoping after you recovered enough Ginny and I could come see you? Maybe the twins too? Ron's in a terrible mood, although I don't think it's his fault, so not him? I really miss you and want to see you.

I heard Dumbledore thinks you are still with the muggles and it is going to stay that way until the trial on the 22nd? I was wondering if we can come with you for emotional support? Mrs Weasley, Ginny and I? I think it would help you sense you have to deal with all those bad memories again.

Don't write a letter back to anybody but Dumbledore because they can all be traced back to Professor McGongall's home. I'm sure she already told you that but it is better to be safe than sorry!

Your worried friend,

Hermione

Harry was touched on how much Hermione cared about him and told Professor McGonagall, who had returned about five minutes ago, to tell his best friend he was open to seeing her anytime and would be incredibly grateful if she could come to the trial too.

The professor nodded and handed the teen his Mrs Granger, Hermione's mum.

Harry-

I am Emma Granger, Hermione's mum. I want you to know that I am very sorry about what happened to you and if you ever need a place to stay while Professor McGonagall is caught up with things for Hogwarts, you are welcome to stay with us for a while.

I also want you to know that Hermione cares for you very much and likely nothing you do will stop that from happening. I understand it is likely not normal for someone to care about you after your 'family', but I do want you to know that they do. Talk to Hermione if you have any problems regarding anything, (Except flying) and she will help you.

Emma Granger

Harry smiled. It was nice to know that Hermione cared for him, even if it was undeserved.

Harry grabbed the letter from Madam Bones. Harry didn't know much about her, but he was aware she was in charge of the DMLE and was overseeing his relatives' case.

Mr. Potter,

I am Amelia Bones, Susan Bones' aunt. I am in charge of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and am making sure your relatives receive justice. In the wizarding world, child abuse is incredibly uncommon and heavily punished. Had your Uncle and Aunt been magical, they would have received the dementor's kiss for the severity of their crimes. However, with them being muggles, it is more likely they will only receive life in Azkaban and their son ten years or so.

The main problem with the trial is Albus Dumbledore. Professor Dumbledore does not want your relatives locked away so you can return for blood protection. Neither me nor Professor McGonagall would ever allow this to happen, but the headmaster has very good connections within the ministry and will stop at nothing to achieve what he believes to be 'the greater good'. He will likely attempt to con you into vouching for your relatives by playing on guilt or blame. Let me know immediately if he attempts this and I will deal with it.

I also regret to inform you that you are required to testify at the trial. I understand that you do not want to do this, but it is required. I had all three of your relatives write a letter to you and I need you to write things about their treatment of you that they either forgot or ignored. I am very sorry about this situation and I am trying to get it over as quickly as possible.

Amelia Bones

Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement

Harry was already told about the letters from the Dursleys and how he was required to testify at the trial, but he still was not happy about it.

He grabbed the letters from the Dursleys and read them, his eyes blurring.

I am Vernon Dursley and this is the unofficial transcript of my guilty plea.

I am guilty for abusing Harry James Potter and I do not regret my actions. I could go on for 5 pages on what a bad person that kid is, but Madam Dead or whatever her name is won't let me.

I have done the following to my 'nephew:' He has always worn my son's hand-me-downs, he didn't know his name before he started school, and we allowed my son to steal 'his' things. He has cooked all the meals for the family since he was 5 and he did all the chores from the age of 3. His bedroom was the cupboard under the stairs and we locked him there for weeks at a time with no meals when he did freaky things. I beat him for similar offences. I was not light with discipline because he was a freak who deserved to die. When he turned 11 he got a freaky letter and I moved him to my son's second room. When he turned 12, we put bars on his window and didn't allow him any meals. We beat him at the end of this year in an attempt to kill him because he burnt the bacon and asked a question.

I would have killed him if not for the two other freaks who stopped us. I do not regret my actions.

Harry knew he deserved what his uncle gave him, but he also knew the wizards wouldn't see it that way because he was The-Boy-Who-Lived and it was dangerous and highly illegal to abuse a child in the magical war, more so than in the muggle one.

Harry picked up the confession from his cousin. He knew he and Aunt Petunia would plead innocent because Dudley was a child and Petunia never touched him besides to swing the frying pan at his head a few times.

I am Dudey and this is the unofficial transcript of my innocent plea.

I am innocent for abusing Harry James Potter because I am a bully, not an abuser. I am only 15, so I will automatically be tried as a child (At least that's how it is in the regular world)

I have done the following to my cousin: I had never known his name before I started school, I always stole 'his' things, he has cooked all the meals for me and he has always done all the chores. His bedroom was the cupboard under the stairs and we locked him there for weeks at a time with no meals when he did freaky things. When he turned 11 he got a freaky letter and was moved to my second room, which I needed. When he turned 12, Dad put bars on his window and didn't allow him any meals. None of those things were my fault because my parents are responsible, not me. My father and I hit him for doing things we didn't like. We beat him at the end of this year in an attempt to kill him. I don't know why, but he likely deserved it.

He deserved what he got from my parents, and my attempted murder should be considered bullying, which I should get away with because I am only 15.

Harry knew Dudley would not be considered innocent for the attempted murder, but he would for everything else and would likely be only given a year at most.

Harry picked up the letter from his aunt, expecting her to also plead innocent. Harry knew the wizards would not agree with her, as emotional abuse was still heavily punished.

I am Petunia Dursley nee Evans and this is the unofficial transcript of my innocent plea.

I am innocent of abusing Harry James Potter because I have never hit him, any abuse I have inflicted should be considered no more than emotional.

I have done the following to my nephew: The freak has always worn my son's hand-me-downs, he believed his name to be Freak before he started school, and we allowed my amazing son to steal the thing he claimed to be his. He has cooked all the meals for the family since he was 5 and he did all the chores from the age of 3. His bedroom was the cupboard under the stairs and we locked him there for weeks at a time with no meals when he did freaky things. I was the main punisher for things such as cupboard time and cleaning, but that should not be considered physical abuse.

I have never beaten him like my son and husband. The most physical abuse I have inflicted on the freak was swinging a few frying pans at his head and holding his hand on the stove a few times.. When he turned 11 he got a letter from that freak school and I moved him to my son's second room in case they came knocking. When he turned 12, we put bars on his window and didn't allow him any meals.

Harry was tired, but only had a few letters left to go. The teen sighed and grabbed the letter from Hogwarts Mediwitch.

Mr. Potter,

I understand you had no control over these circumstances but I would still appreciate it if you would stop being transferred to my care. Seeing you twenty times during the school year is enough; you don't have to see me during the summer break too.

I would usually tell you this in person, but I am away at the moment. You are to be resting in bed for the next two days and I don't care what you have to say about it. After you are allowed out of bed, minimize your time up, it will help you recover faster. As you are likely aware, the Dursleys' trial is on 22 july, a week from now. You should be alright to leave by then, but still take it easy. Your friends can visit you on the 20th, as long as there are no dangerous sports involved.

Madam Pomfrey

Harry was happy he would be able to see his friends just six days from now. He was getting bored with just Professor McGonagall for company, and he was worried about the Dursleys' trial.

The next letter on the list was from Snape.

Mr Potter-

I am writing this letter to inform you of the dangers of contacting your friends directly. Goodness knows your intellect would not have let you see sense in this matter. The only ones who know your current residence are the ones who have written to you, everyone else is ignorant. When you write your replies, send them with Professor McGonagall so the headmaster continues to believe you are staying with your family. Send his letter via muggle post since you are not supposed to have access to your owl and say nothing that would tip him off of where you are.

Hoping not to see you in my classes next year,

Severus Snape

Harry thought Snape's letter was rather nice (comparatively speaking of course). It was unheard of for the potions master to speak to him respectfully, and that was close to it. His letter was kind of useless, but Harry still appreciated getting it.

Harry still had Sirius, Professor Lupin, and Ron's letter left to read. Harry picked up Sirius' next. The last time Harry had seen him was the day he left for Professor McGonagall's home and he missed him.

Hey Harry,

It's Sirius. I am so sorry I never checked on you more. I should have known something was wrong when you agreed to live with me just an hour after we met. I don't know how I didn't notice, but I'm sorry. Ginny is pretty mad at you for not telling us, but I understand why you didn't as I was an abused child too.

If you ever need to talk I'm here.

Sirius

Harry knew Sirius was abused emotionally, but he also knew Sirius didn't deserve it, unlike him.

Harry sighed and moved onto Remus' letter, Sirius would never accept that as an answer.

Hey Harry,

I hope you are okay. I understand that you likely are not emotionally or mentally, so I'll just settle for physically now. Healing is a long process, but don't give up.

I want you to understand that it's not your fault. I understand that you think it is but there is no excuse for what those muggles did. You are not a freak and you never have been. Why do you call yourself one? Is it because you are a wizard? A burden? Because I assure you Harry, if it's the former you are wrong. You are not a burden. You have done nothing wrong and must understand that in order to heal.

I unfortunately cannot make it in time for your relatives' trial and for that I apologize. But I can hopefully see you on 25 August if you can make it to Diagon Alley on that date. Professor Dumbledore is watching me so I don't think I can make it any sooner.

Remus

Harry thought about his ex-professor's letter for a long time. Why was he a burden? He knew that he was but he couldn't think of a reason as to why.

Eventually he gave up, deciding that the man just didn't understand. He picked up the last letter, from Ron, and took a deep breath. Several people had told him Ron was likely under some sort of spell, but the words would still hurt. With another deep breath Harry opened the letter.

Potter-

I hope this letter doesn't find you well. It is because of you that my family is angry and me and 'Mione isn't speaking to me. I don't understand why, but they believe your little lies about you being abused. You're not abused, but if you were, you'd deserve it. You are a terrible person who doesn't deserve to be happy. I summoned the WCS the other day to arrest Mum for her appalling treatment of me, but they told me that I wasn't abused and Mum was 'an amazing guardian'. It made me want to punch the wall. It's not fair you and 'Mione get an amazing home life while I'm being abused.

Ron

There was no way the Weasleys were wrong. Ron was most definitely under some sort of spell or potion and Harry would bet his life Dumbledore is the one who cast it.

What Ron said though. It was as if he knew exactly how Harry was feeling. While Harry didn't like the new Ron, he still found what he said to be accurate. Not about his life, Mrs Weasley was an incredible mother, but about how Harry was overreacting and how he deserves what he endured.
