Title: The Monster They Made
Part 7: The Final Destruction
The sun had barely risen over Stonehaven, but the city was already engulfed in chaos, flames licking the sky like hungry beasts. The streets were a battlefield, torn apart by the monster's wrath. But Quest was far from finished. His dorsal plates began to glow again—bright, almost blinding. The energy pulsed from the very tip of his tail, traveling upward in a line of white-hot brilliance that illuminated the sky in waves. His eyes, now burning with the same intense glow, locked onto the city below.
The energy was building.
He opened his mouth, a deep, guttural growl escaping his throat as his chest swelled with the raw power surging within him. The ground trembled underfoot, and the air around him began to warp from the sheer force of his energy.
Then, with a roar that shook the heavens, he unleashed the beam.
A massive wave of atomic energy shot out from his mouth, the beam surging forward with devastating speed and power. It was no longer just a destructive blast; this was a force of nature, a cataclysm.
The beam swept across Stonehaven in a horizontal arc, cutting through the city like a scythe through wheat. Buildings that had stood for decades were reduced to rubble in an instant. Steel and concrete melted and evaporated under the intensity of the beam.
Nothing could survive it.
The massive skyscrapers, once symbols of progress and human achievement, crumbled into dust, their glass facades shattering like fragile eggs. High-rise apartments that had once been home to families were erased in the blink of an eye. Streets, highways, and entire city blocks were obliterated, leaving only smoking craters where life had once thrived.
People had no time to scream. They had no time to flee. The beam moved so quickly, so violently, that anyone caught in its path was incinerated instantly. The few survivors, far from the blast zone, watched in horror as the heart of their city turned into a raging inferno.
Quest's massive form stood at the epicenter of it all, the atomic beam still radiating from his mouth, a deadly symphony of power and destruction. His chest rose and fell with the deep, rumbling breaths of a god that knew no mercy.
The destruction continued for what felt like an eternity. The sound of the blast echoed for miles, a constant reverberation of death. The city—Stonehaven—had been erased.
Quest lowered his head slightly, his mouth still glowing with residual energy. The smoke and ash began to clear, revealing the true scale of the devastation: a wasteland where a bustling metropolis had once stood.
It was only then that he stopped. He had done what he came for.
And now, he turned away.
As the glow in his eyes faded and his dorsal plates dimmed, Quest began to move away from the ruins. His massive body shifted through the wreckage, stepping over twisted steel and concrete, as though none of it mattered.
The world had just witnessed the birth of a nightmare—one that would not rest until every last trace of humanity was eradicated.
End of Part 7.
