Title: The Monster They Made

Part 13: Command Room – Code Black

The Global Joint Command Room, somewhere deep beneath the earth's surface, buzzed with static, emergency alerts, and the low murmur of disbelief.

Red lights pulsed across every monitor. Beijing's satellite feed had gone completely dark. Only a moment earlier, they had been watching Quest march through the city—his towering frame unleashing waves of destruction. Now, all they had was smoke... and silence.

A four-star general slammed his fist against the table.

"Goddammit! We've lost contact with all Chinese defense satellites. I want live eyes on that thing—now!"

A NATO tech specialist wiped sweat from his brow.

"We're pulling new satellite imagery, but the radiation... it's interfering with everything. It's like someone just dropped ten warheads in the middle of Beijing."

A senior analyst leaned forward, voice hollow.

"Sir, this is no longer a military threat. This is... extinction protocol. If he continues this rate of destruction, every major coastal nation is at risk."

The President of the United States, patched in via secure channel, looked visibly shaken.

"We authorized that project years ago. We gave those lunatics free rein. Where the hell was the oversight?"

Silence fell over the room.

A Russian marshal, his hands trembling, whispered,

"You gave them a child."

The mood shifted.

The screens now showed archived footage—Quest as a teenager, restrained to a cold surgical table, screaming through his muzzle as metal arms pierced his flesh, injected him with boiling isotopes, altered his DNA, reshaped his very soul.

They had made a monster.

Operation Thoughts and Reactions

UN Chief of Defense:

"Conventional weapons are meaningless. We've thrown torpedoes, railguns, bunker busters, and he walks through it all. The pulse he released over Beijing was equivalent to a small nuclear bomb. Except he's walking. Breathing. Learning."

UK Intelligence Officer:

"He's targeting infrastructure, ports, reactors, capitals. He's methodical. Not mindless destruction—calculated eradication."

CIA Director:

"He's not Godzilla. He's worse. He retains his human memories. His morality is gone. He doesn't hesitate. Doesn't speak. He just moves. The scientists didn't just make a weapon. They woke a wrath."

Japanese Admiral:

"What are his limits?"

No one answered.

New Orders on the Table

Code Black is now in effect.

All major cities are under red evacuation zones.

The use of experimental satellite weapons—once shelved for being too unstable—is now being reconsidered.

A project codenamed "Backbreaker" has been greenlit: a global military coalition with no borders, no politics, just survival.

China has officially requested international aid, admitting full collapse of Beijing's government sector.

The lights dimmed.

Someone spoke quietly over the chaos:

"You don't create a god... and expect it to obey."
