"So… you know us from stories?" Ruby asked curiously.

"Kinda, sorta," Xander said. "You have some characteristics in common with the main characters in stories from my world, but then the magic girls who attacked me in one world actually have a cartoon in another world, a world that is a movie in mine, so I think… Actually, I have no idea what to think, sorry."

"Everything being connected through stories sounds awesome," Ruby decided.

"It does," Xander agreed.

"Wanna see Crescent Rose?" Ruby asked. "It's a scythe that shifts into a sniper rifle!"

"That sounds awesome," Xander said. "I would love to see it."

"It's in my room," Ruby said, "we can grab it and hit the target range."

Ruby grabbed his hand and pulled him into the air where she paused to figure out where her team's room was from the outside of the expanded school.

"Here," Ruby decided, looking through a window. "Give me a second," she said, before ducking inside, leaving Xander waiting for her.

Xander created a handful of bald eagles, sending them flying off before creating a couple dozen flying squirrels which scampered off for the trees.

"Back," Ruby announced, climbing out the window. "Took me a moment because the room is bigger and so is our dressers and beds. I'm also pretty sure I didn't have this much spare fire rounds packed away, but that just means we can shoot more!"

"I've never… Huh, I remember firing a sniper rifle," Xander said thoughtfully as she grabbed his hand and pulled him along behind her at warp speed, rose petals scattering in the wind behind them.

The next hour was spent with Xander watching in amazement as the short dark haired teen used a sniper rifle with a large blade on one end that she could somehow fold up and hide on her person to tear through a combination of obstacle course and target range at insane speeds, leaving trails of dissolving rose petals behind her and only getting faster as she figured out how to work her Flight ability into her routine.

Honestly just one of her could probably have wiped out the majority of vampires in Sunnydale within a week.

"What did you think?" Ruby asked as she caught her breath and cleaned and checked her weapon.

"You looked awesome," Xander said. "I'm going to give you a ninja trainer before I leave, because they can make you insanely deadly, building on what you already know and because I find the idea of you being small and cute combined with max levels of lethal makes me want to giggle evilly."

Ruby blushed and concentrated on her weapon, trying to hide her smile. "Th-thanks."

"I knew I'd find you here," Bonnie said as she joined them.

"I still can't believe I have a mostly twin sister," Ruby said. "We need to get you a weapon. Do you want one like mine or should we make something new?"

"Like yours," Bonnie said, "All my skills and reflexes are the same as yours, so matching weapons to start and we'll just modify them as our fighting style changes."

"How much are you like me?" Ruby asked. "I mean, do you have my memories and know all my most embarrassing secrets?"

"Nope, I'm more generic you with common knowledge," Bonnie said with a shrug. "I kinda know your life, but it's like if they adapted a book to a film, a lot is left out. For instance all the things that make you shy I never got. Plus I got some stuff from Lord Xander, like how he does some of his stuff and what his life was like."

"Can I see that?" Xander asked, gesturing to Ruby's weapon, Crescent Rose.

"Sure," Ruby said, "do you want me to show you how to use it?"

"No," Xander said, "I"m going to cast Repair on it, which will make it like new and then I'm going to duplicate it."

"That would be awesome!" Ruby said excitedly.

Xander accepted Crescent Rose, casting Repair on it before handing it back and then duplicating it for a single Mana. "Here," he said, passing it to Bonnie.

"You are so getting a hug," Bonnie said as she cuddled the weapon to her chest. "After we break her in again!"

"Break her in… oh," Ruby said with a smile. "She'll be a bit stiff if all her parts are brand new."

"Have you scanned the fire dust rounds?" Bonnie asked.

"Yeah," Xander agreed.

"Good, cause we are going to need a lot of them!"

"Any idea where they are?" Yang asked Ember.

"Nope, and I already used my blue ring for Flight so I can't scry for them," her red haired twin replied.

"Let me check my scroll," Yang said, "someone is probably filming them."

"Only if they're in public and not somewhere… private," Blake teased with a cheshire grin.

Yang rolled her eyes. "Sorry, still not buying it."

"While Xander may be easy, I know Ruby and she's not the type," Ember agreed.

"What about Bonnie?" Blake asked curiously, disappointed her romance books had been wrong.

"Oh yeah, in a heartbeat," Ember said, causing everyone to stare at her. "What?"

"Why Bonnie but not Ruby?" Weiss asked.

"Since he created us we got a peek into his mind, so we know him well enough to both be really comfortable with him and know what buttons to push to get him in bed," Ember replied. "So if Bonnie got the urge, he's bagged."

"They're at the firing range," Pyrrha offered, sending everyone the link.

Everyone opened their scrolls and watched as dozens of students used Beacon's improved firing range with Xander refilling a table filled with a variety of ammo.

"He's providing free ammo?" Nora asked with a bright smile.

"It's still several hours till dinnertime," Ren pointed out.

"Firing range it is," Yang said, "let's go grab our weapons."

"Do we know where our rooms are?" Pyrrha asked. "The school's changed a bit and I didn't look for ours while searching for the movie theater."

"We're roughly in the same place," Jaune said, "I checked just in case the hidden entrance was in our room."

"Why would it be in our room?" Pyrrha asked.

"Because it would be the last place we'd look," Jaune said.

"That would have been funny," Nora said with a grin.

"Which is why I checked it first," Jaune said.

"I can't believe you hid the entrance to the movie theater in the third floor girl's bathroom," Weiss said as they ate dinner.

"I didn't, the magic did," Xander replied.

"I can't believe you made copies of Ren and Nora," Nora said cheerfully. "Except I totally can because I asked you to, but it just felt like the thing to say."

"That's fair," Nora 2 agreed with a smile.

"Okay, I"m just going to ask," Blake said with a sigh, "Why are your twins hitting on you?"

"I haven't been hitting on Nora," Nora 2 said.

"I also haven't been hitting on Ren," Ren 2 added.

Blake groaned. "You know what I mean!"

"I noticed that Bonnie and Ember are like more stable versions of the original," Nora said.

"We aren't unstable," Ruby said firmly.

"I know, but they're more stable," Nora said.

"I don't know, they seem to like explosives even more than the originals," Pyrrha pointed out.

"That's because they have good taste," Xander said.

"Also we saw in his mind how much good you can do with the right amount of boom," Ember added.

"Okay, so anyway, I saw that they exchanged whatever minor mental quirks they might have had for some perfectly reasonable pyromania," Nora said with a smile. "So I thought maybe more sane versions of me and Ren would make things easier between us, because though we don't want to date each other, we also want to stab or blow up anyone the other does date."

"So having a sane version of your best friend to date gets around that problem?" Weiss asked doubtfully.

"The crippling fear of possibly losing my best friend if things don't work out romantically doesn't apply to her twin," Ren admitted.

"And that works?" Blake asked in disbelief.

"No overwhelming fear or crippling co-dependence on our end," Ren 2 said bluntly.

"Overwhelming affection and urge to bang like bunnies is not a mental problem, thankfully," Nora 2 said.

"That cannot be healthy," a student a table away said.

"I'm willing to try and fix her," Ren 2 said jokingly.

"With his penis!" Yang and Ember chorused.

"How long were you two waiting to use that line?" Weiss asked.

"Hours," Yang freely admitted.

"And I'm pretty sure I can make him worse," Nora 2 said proudly.

There were confused looks exchanged at the table before Juane offered, "I always thought Ren was a little too sane to fit in with us."

"I hate that I understood what you mean by that," Weiss said.

"You use the light of your souls to punch out the monsters beneath the bed, sanity was never a requirement," Xander said.

"Yes, but I did assume it was an option," Weiss replied.

"Much like with ninja, the most powerful hunters force reality to conform to their delusions rather than trying to conform to reality," Xander said. "Pick a mental dysfunction and become a legend! I suggest pyromania, because evil is very flammable."

Glynda Goodwitch had approached during the conversation and had listened with a wince, really wishing she didn't find herself agreeing. She cleared her throat. "Lord Xander, we have a room prepared for you."

"He'll be sleeping in my bed," Ruby said, causing nearly everyone to stare at her.

"Um… Rubes?" Yang asked, not quite sure what to ask.

"Until Mom is back, I'm not letting him out of my sight," Ruby replied.

"And that's why she's a team leader," Xander said with approval.

"Pardon?" Glynda asked, confused.

"How many times has a plan been set in motion and everyone takes a break or goes and does something else because everything is ready, only for something to go wrong?" Xander asked rhetorically. "If you want a plan to succeed, you don't go for halfway measures, you set things up and wait, ready to correct things if something goes wrong."

"And you have no objections?" Glynda asked, making sure he wasn't offended.

"Not a one," Xander said. "She can tie a rope to my leg and I can sleep on the ceiling above her bed if it makes everyone feel better, flying is awesome like that."

"I really want my mom back," Ruby said. "I don't mind staying awake all night to make sure he's still here in the morning."

"Boop," Xander said and patted her on the head. "You now have Vigilance, meaning you no longer have to sleep if you don't want to and won't suffer any ill effects."

"Thanks," Ruby said with a shy smile.

"That would have come in handy so many times this week alone," Glynda said wistfully.

Xander pulled a couple of rings out of his pocket and picked through them until he found a white one and charged it, passing it to the assistant headmistress. "Put it on and think Vigilance. It recharges every sunrise so someone else can use it."

"Bless you," Glynda said, "this will make things a lot easier."

"Anytime," Xander said as she smiled and departed.

"I don't suppose…" Pyrrha hinted.

Xander dug through his pocket and found and charged a ring to pass to her with a grin.

"Bless you," Pyrrha said.

"Don't bother using it, I'm going to buff you all with everything tonight before bed, I just thought it was amusing to give you one," Xander said.

"So we could stay up all night and not be tired tomorrow," Yang said.

"We could, but I need to sleep," Xander said, "I can't afford to lose touch with humanity, I've got too much power."

"That's probably a good attitude to have when you're as powerful as you are," Weiss said. "Though I question how…. frivolous you seem about using it."

"If you were granted the powers of a god wouldn't you use it to help people?" Xander asked.

"I believe I would," Weiss agreed, "I don't fault you on that, it's more the casual and random manner you go about it that leaves me confused."

"I have fun while doing it to try and manage my ego. Doing everything solemnly and with people bowing to me and praising me would quickly go to my head while what I do now just leaves people happy and confused." Xander said. "Besides, the trickster gods are the best gods, they make people think!"

"I would smite people," Nora said. "Park in the handicap spot because you are in a hurry? Let's teleport your car into orbit!"

"Yell at the waitress because you don't like menu changes decided by management…" Nora 2 said with a grin.

"Suddenly naked in public," Nora said smugly.

"Politician makes promises he doesn't intend on keeping?" Juane asked.

"His pants catch fire during the broadcast," Nora 2 said.

"Someone pushes ahead in line because they have connections?" Pyrrha asked.

"Any car they try to ride in gets a flat tire for the entire day, making them walk everywhere," Nora said.

"Or you could make their voice sound like a crying baby whenever they try and talk till they give up," Nora 2 suggested.

"Also good," Nora agreed.

"Pee on the toilet seat in a public restroom and doesn't wipe it off," Ren said with a shudder.

"Huge wet spot on their crotch," Nora replied.

"Cuts people off in traffic," Yang suggested with a grin.

"Car slowly pulls over to the side of the road and refuses to start for an hour so they can think about what they've done," Nora 2 said.

"Please stop," Weiss said, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Why? This is fun," Yang said.

"Because Lord Xander is taking notes," she pointed out.

"No, no, go on, this stuff is gold!" Xander said, pen and notepad in hand.
