Harry:

Harry Potter awoke suddenly from his dream. He had the same one before; Cedric and his parents came back from the dead and beat him for causing their deaths. He always woke up when they hit him in the head with a bat.

"You okay, Harry?" Hermione asked from beside him.

"Hermione, what are we?" Harry asked her.

She smiled. "Will you be my boyfriend?" She asked him hopefully

Harry smiled and hugged her "Of course, m-lady."

Hermione giggled. "What's our plan?"

"Let's stay here for a few days, then we can take the Knight Bus to Diagon Alley." Harry suggested.

Hermione nodded, but her expression quickly turned to anxiety. "There's someone outside the tent."

Harry's eyes widened and they both grabbed their wands.

As soon as they left the tent, there was a pop.

"Someone disapperated." Hermione said, looking around.

Harry nodded. "Should we go into muggle London to get clothes?" He asked his girlfriend.

Hermione shook her head. "Professor McGonagall took care of that for me. She gave me several outfits for you."

"Why?" Harry asked

"She was the one to drop me off at your house. She has a hunch of your homelife and knew the Dursleys would never let you bring your things with you." Hermione explained, still surveying the environment.

Harry nodded. "Remind me to tell her thank you next time I see her."

"I will." A voice from behind them said.

Both teens whipped around, wands out.

There was a woman standing outside the tent, she had bubblegum pink hair and a heart-shaped face. "Hello!" She greeted cheerily.

"Mind if I come in?" She asked.

"Who are you?" Hermione asked.

"I'm from the order, but they don't know I'm here." The girl explained, looking around.

"If you're here to tell Hermione to go to Sirius' place, you ca-" Harry started.

"I'm not." The witch interrupted him. "May I please come in?"

Harry nodded but kept his wand firmly in his hand. "Who are you?"

"My name is Nymphadora Tonks, but please just call me Tonks." 'Tonks' told the teens.

"And you are here because…?" Hermione asked the cheery witch.

She smiled. "I am sent to watch over you. The order wants Hermione in their safehouse and Harry to be completely cut off from the magical world." Tonks said.

"Then you can fu-" Harry started before he was cut off by his girlfriend.

"Language." Hermione reprimanded him.

"I am not supposed to make contact with you." Tonks said. "I have a plan."

"We already have one." Harry said, but if she had heard everything, he wasn't too confident.

"Not a good one. Mundungus, another guy from the order, told Dumbledore." She said.

Harry growled and Hermione groaned. "What do we do now?" She asked the woman.

"I can apperate you to muggle London and you can go to a hotel there." She suggested.

Harry nodded. "We can get to Diagon Alley from there."

Tonks nodded. "And I have another suggestion, you two should get married."

"MARRIED?" Hermione yelled.

Tonks nodded. "You should sign a prenuptial agreement in case it doesn't turn out, but Harry's name will protect you, Hermione."

"How would it protect me?" Hermione asked.

"If you marry into a rich family with political power, you will be taken more seriously among wizards, muggleborn or not." Tonks said. "Anyone bullying you for your blood status could be heavily punished if you marry Harry."

"Harry has political power?" Harmione asked.

Harry nodded. "I took a course with my account manager two years ago and I now have good control of my assets and a spot on the wizengamot. The Potter name is not one of the sacred 28, but is an ancient and noble house." He confirmed.

"And if you marry him, you also have access to those assets and would be considered Hermione Potter." Tonks said.

"Then from there, we should go to Potter Manor so Professor Dumbledore can't find us." Harry said. "You can't enter if we aren't married."

"You have a manor?!" Hermione asked incredulously.

Harry nodded. "And house elves. But I treat them with respect and don't let them punish themselves." He knew Hermione would freak out if she saw an elf.

Hermione nodded suspiciously. Okay." She agreed. "But I have to tell my parents first."

"I can apperate you." Tonks offered.

"You what?!" Dan Granger yelped.

"We want to get married, Mr. Granger." Harry said calmly.

"Why?" Emma Granger asked from the other side of the table.

"I am a muggle-born, which means if something happens to me no one would care. If I become Hermione Potter, I am more protected and respected within the wizarding world." Hermione told her parents bravely.

"Why would that make a difference?" Mr. Granger asked Harry.

"Because sir, I am from a very old and noble family and I am the only remaining heir. If Hermione marries me, she is in the house." Harry explained.

"What would happen if she were not in this 'house?'" Mrs. Granger asked.

It was Tonks who answered. "If she is killed by a pure-blood at school, no one would bat an eye because she is a muggle-born, therefore replaceable." She told Hermione's parents. "If she becomes Hermione Potter, even being teased by another student could have legal consequences." She said calmly.

"Okay." Mrs. Granger said. "If she is that much more protected, you have my blessing." She told Harry.

"Thank you, ma'am." Harry said, bowing slightly to her.

She laughed. "Dan?" Mrs. Granger looked at her husband. "Hermione would be so much better protected."

"You will be signing a prenup, Hermione." Mr. Granger told his daughter. "I will not be losing half my money because your boyfriend is a gold-digger."

Tonks laughed so hard she fell over and Harry's lips twitched.

"What is so funny?" Mr. Granger demanded.

Hermione shook her head, her face red. "Dad, Harry owns a manor." She told her father. "He is more rich than the queen."

Mr. Granger raised an eyebrow. "Then why does he dress like that?" He asked, eyeing Harry' too large clothing and ripped trainers.

Harry looked away. "I am going to grab my trunk." Harry muttered, not wanting to be a part of the conversation to come.

"I'll come!" Tonks yelled and the two almost ran out of the house.

"Thanks for getting my trunk, Tonks." Harry told the witch. "How did you get it?"

"Snape and I went to your relatives' to ask if they knew where you went." She told the wizard. "I grabbed it after he left so I could return it to you." Tonks said.

"Thank you, I appreciate it." Harry told her.

"Anytime," Tonks said. "Your relatives are… something."

"Yeah," Harry agreed. "I'm sorry if they gave you a hard time."

Tonks shook her head. "It wasn't the best, but at least I don't have to live with them." She said

Harry nodded. "What did Snape say?" He asked the witch.

"Does he know your aunt?" Tonks asked. "He was calling her 'Tuny' and she knew who he was as soon as she opened the door."

Harry shrugged. "I have no idea, nor do I care." It wasn't a lie. If Snape was going to treat Harry like a spoiled brat, Harry was going to treat him as the greasy git he was.

Hermione came out, her eyes puffy and red. "R-Ready to go?" She asked the pair on her porch.

They nodded and Tonks took their hands again.

"Welcome to Saint Bloomsbury hotel." A man greeted the three newcomers.

"A room for two, please?" Tonks asked the man at the desk.

"Of course, name?"

"Harry Potter." Tonks supplied.

"For how long?"

"One night."

"Id?" The clerk asked.

"Crap." Tonks said. She obviously had not thought of that.

"Confund him." Harry suggested.

Tonks nodded and took out her wand. "Confundo."

The man's eyes took on a glazed look. "That will be 85."

Hermione handed the man the money and they took the room key.

"Thanks, Tonks." Harry told the witch. "Please don't tell anyone we are here."

"Of course not." And with that the witch was gone.
