What you recognize I don't own. It's been three years since Warriors was assassinated at night in his era, and a year and a half since the group got separated by four different portals during a fight. The group has been trying to get back together ever since, but so far no luck, though they know everyone in the group is still alive thanks to Hylia, who is being cryptic, but tells them she has her reasons for keeping them separated even while they're still portal traveling. This makes certain members unhappy but also knowing that they can't do anything about it except hope for a reunion at some point, which fortunately is going to happen soon. But not everything is as it seems, and the group is going to find that out the hard way. Also I'm once again going to have Time as part of the War of Era's, still uncertain about Wind though. And I'm also going to have Time able to speak Fairy as well, it's CLEARLY implied in Sunset pt. 3 that Time at least understands Fairies, so why shouldn't he be able to speak it as well? As such Fairy speech will be in italics. Also a minor reference to the Twilight Princess manga will be made so familiarity with it might be a good thing
Time reaches the top of the hill and sighs before turning towards his companion to speak up
"Looks like a dead end Sky, the locals were either mistaken or the camp was moved somehow"
"Looks like, though I'm thinking it was the locals being mistaken more than the camp moving since that doesn't happen very often with monsters"
"True, let's go back into town then and see if they have any new leads or remembered something that they may have forgotten when they gave us the information two days ago"
Sky groans
"Can we rest first Time?, hate to say it but the pace you set is getting to me for some reason"
"Yeah, we can rest for a bit, it's starting to get late anyways"
The two set up camp and after a bit Sky is the one to start the conversation
"I wonder how the others are, I mean, sure Hylia comes to us in dreams from time to time to give us an update on them but...it's been a while"
"Same here Sky, hopefully she comes to us tonight"
After some silence Sky speaks up again
"Time...do you...I mean can you..."
Sky sighs and goes silent, and Time knows what Sky was trying to say considering it had been on his mind all day as well
"Yes Sky, I still miss him, I do every day, but I can also see the day when it's not as painful, though it being the anniversary is making it harder, and I wonder how his Zelda is handling the day, I'm also sure that the others are also remembering him today if possible"
"It's hard, thinking it's been three years since that day"
"I know, I still...I get nightmares about that night still, I think I always will if I were honest with myself"
"I don't blame you...I get it after all...you were the one who found him first and...at least...at least you got to say goodbye"
Sky's voice goes bitter after a pause
"Unlike the rest of us"
"Sky..."
"I know, it's not your fault but still...I wish the rest of us had at least gotten some type of proper closure besides a funeral"
"I wish you guys had gotten to say your goodbye's as well Sky, as it is I barely managed to reach him in time to say mine, I just happened to be lucky Sky, in how the sleeping arrangements worked that night"
"I know, it just...hurts sometimes still"
"I know it does, but the worst part...I...I never told you guys this but..."
"But what?"
"It's...it's about Wars's final moments, you see I..."
Sky quickly sees that Time is struggling to speak up and thus speaks first
"Time...tomorrow is soon enough, I can tell that you're hurt by the thought already and forcing yourself to speak on the anniversary will only hurt you in the long run"
"I...okay"
After a few moments Time speaks up again
"I know we made a plan already but..."
Time doesn't get to finish though because right then a portal appears before them making them sigh and prepare to leave, but instead of feeling a pull towards the portal they see two figures come out, and they prepare for a fight, but quickly drop their weapons at the sight that quickly greets them
"Wind, Legend"
"Time! Sky!"
The four hug in relief
"It's been too long"
"It certainly has"
"Tell your story if we tell you ours?"
"Yeah, but...not tonight...tonight we honor Wars"
"Of course, I kind of figured that would be the case"
And so that night the two groups update each other on what they'd been through the past year and a half and expressed hope that they would be reunited with the other four in the near future, and mentioned being glad for the occasional update from Hylia so that they knew their remaining brothers remained alive
"Still, why were we finally allowed to be together?"
"Well...right before the portal showed up Wind and I took down a monster camp, honestly I thought that the portal would be taking us to yet another place where searching for you guys wasn't going to be easy if it happened at all"
"Instead we're the ones who were in camp getting ready to return to town tomorrow to try and figure something out while you finished your mission and were finally able to reunite us"
"Yeah"
That night Time and Sky were told that Wind and Legend were with them to change the course of history in this era, that the last era Wind and Legend were in was actually a few centuries after this one and Time and Sky were legends that had died on their current mission, though Wind and Legend weren't aware of that part of the legends, just that two heroes had died to save the town that they were heading back to. Time also told the two that he had promised Sky to tell him something regarding Wars' death the next day
"No Time, if...if it's affecting you this much, you should wait until you can tell everyone, it might be easier for you this ways"
"Legend's right Time, I originally suggested tomorrow for you telling me since it would have just been me, but now that we have two of our group again, it doesn't feel right that they know and not the others, plus...if you were struggling with just me, it really would be best and easier if you told everyone at the same time"
"Okay, I just hope we regroup with the others soon"
The group spends the next night remembering the good times with Wars, with Time telling stories about memories from the war that he was in with Wars. The next day would begin a two day walk back to town where the four found out that the townsfolk had unintentionally not given Time and Sky the full information due a combination of miscommunication, one of the people being legally blind and not telling anyone since it had come on gradually and they had been compensating for it quite well and not realizing that they were relying on very old maps which didn't help matters regarding the legally blind person
"I see, where's the proper map and has the miscommunication issue been cleared up?"
"Yes, and someone not basically blind who can read a map went this time, though making sure to keep a safe distance away, but...it's not good, the camp is bigger than initially estimated...and possibly growing even as we speak"
"Hm...we should be able to handle it, so long as things don't go too out of control"
"Agreed"
The four go over the map and notes, and after getting supplies heads to the new location, and while there were a few close calls, everyone made it out of the fight alive, just like Hylia had intended. Once the group left town Wind and Legend realized why the town had felt familiar
"Time...Sky...Wind and I have been talking and...and I think...we've been to that town before but...in the future and...there's more"
"Oh?"
"Yeah we...we were told about two fighters who died trying to save the town and while the two ultimately succeeded, the town suffered for several years after their deaths, and they buried the two in unmarked graves since they didn't know the names of their heroes. We were at the graves and...and I think..."
Time sighs
"It was us, Hylia came to Sky and I in a dream and told us what would have happened without you two coming to help"
"I see"
"I'm glad we were able to save you guys then, even if the town will now never know thanks to Hylia"
Suddenly a portal opens in front of the four of them and they felt the pull to go through and they do, when they land they know that they're not in any of their own era's, but it still felt familiar to them for some reason
"It's not Warrior's era, I know that era almost as well as I know my own thanks to reasons that you're already aware of"
"And yet it feels familiar somehow"
"Yeah"
"Well, for now we should try and find the nearest town"
"Right"
And so after picking a direction the group starts moving and after a couple of hours hears the sounds of fighting
"Let's go"
The two quickly find out where the fight was and join the fray, it was during the fight that Wind let's the others know just who they ran into
"Twi! Hyrule!"
"Hey Wind...good timing"
"Thanks"
Eventually the fight ended and there were hugs between the six
"So...everyone's back together, well except for...
"Except for Wild and Four, but hopefully soon"
"Yeah, by the way what did you guys do for..."
"For the anniversary of his death? We remembered him of course, telling stories"
"Same here"
"By the way, do either of you know where we are?"
After a long pause Hyrule sighs and speaks up
"Yeah, we're a few decades after my death, things aren't good but...it could be worse all things considered. If the enemy gets my blood it will revive Ganon, however from what I understand, I managed to prevent that from happening with the way I killed myself defending a town"
"You burned yourself to death didn't you?"
"Yeah, and...Zelda made sure that the job was finished when she heard what had happened since there was still a small chance of my blood being collected unless I'm completely incinerated. My fire spell that I created to suicide isn't quite hot enough to make my body completely ashes, but it's enough to make the monsters have to struggle to try and collect my blood, which means that they can be killed"
"Is the era healing at all?"
"Slowly, ever so slowly it's healing and that's why things aren't good, Ganon caused a lot of damage and that takes a long, long time to heal from unfortunately, and it's not helped by the fact that while Ganon was never fully revived, his voice was heard from his followers for long enough that they are following his last orders which is slowing the progress down a bit"
"But like you said, could have been worse, do you know why you're here?"
"Yeah, we know, and we've been here since the portal separated us by the way, what about you guys?"
"We only just regrouped, Time and Sky were together and then Wind and I were together before Wind and I were dropped where Time and Sky were so that we could save their lives"
Time nods
"It's true, they were actually further in the timeline than us and found out about our deaths and were sent back by Hylia to prevent them, and to save the town earlier than it originally had been saved"
"I'm glad Hylia intervened like that"
"Same"
"So...only two left right?"
"Yeah, let's hope it's soon"
"Same"
The next morning Time is the first to speak up during breakfast
"Hyrule, why are we decades in your future?"
Hyrule sighs before speaking up
"While Ganon's gone, his followers are not, as I told you indirectly last night, and unfortunately they're a little too strong since they look to be black blooded"
"Have either of you seen the Queen?"
"No, too dangerous actually since it's the one I know still"
"And with you being dead...right, that's not an option then"
"Nope, plus...for some reason I get the feeling that I'm supposed to finish his followers once and for all with your help and that's why we haven't been able to make progress, and without Zelda knowing about us, though she'll know about the death of Ganon's followers in time"
"Well, it's not like we didn't make any progress, but not enough to truly make a difference"
"Well, maybe now that we're here things will go better"
"Perhaps"
Ultimately it took a month and a half and a bit of luck, but Ganon's followers were finally taken care of once and for all in Hyrule's era
"Now what?"
"Now we wait for a portal and hope it leads us to Four and Wild"
Two days later a portal opened up and when they landed they knew where they were though they were confused
