What you recognize I don't own. This is a look into those five days it took for Time to die, really just snipits but it's an insight into Time's final days and the birth of Time's son. Also Fairy speech is in italics
Day 1
Twilight screamed alerting the others to the fact that yet another member was badly injured
"TIME!"
Twilight catches Time's falling body
"Hey, it's okay...Hyrule will be here soon, everything will be okay"
The battle ends soon after and Hyrule rushes over and starts using his most powerful healing spell while Twilight looks at Wild and asks a question due to what he'd seen earlier in battle
"Legend and Sky?"
Wild simply shakes his head telling Twilight everything he needed to know and then Hyrule speaks up
"I need a fairy, now"
A fairy is used and while it heals Time, the group could tell that Time was still critically injured, the fairy talks to Time briefly before disappearing.
"I've managed to slow down the internal bleeding but...I can't stop it due to your past actions, I also can't heal the poison and I don't know if the group will have the correct antidote, or even know that there is poison"
Time merely nods, knowing not to waste what little strength he had left speaking in fairy. Meanwhile though the group didn't know it there were three ghosts watching the group try to save Time's life
"It's not going to work, is it Wars?"
"No, Hylia told me that he's going to die Sky, but...it won't be fast or painless"
"Because of the group fighting to keep him alive?"
"Yes Legend, that and...his actions which affected the fairies ability to heal him"
"Oh...I forgot about that since he's managed to avoid needing a fairy until now"
"Time knows, the fairy told him, and I think...he's about to tell the others"
"Guys...don't...use...another fairy...let me go...please"
"We...we have to try, you know that Time"
"Fairy...will only delay things"
Time goes incoherent for the rest of the day but the group did what they could to nourish him with broth and try and use an antidote in case of poison
Day 2
"Guys, he's bleeding internally again"
"Do what you can Hyrule, Wild's preparing an elixir now"
"Don't...please"
"You're going to get through this, I promise"
Time coughs up blood throughout the day, a fairy being used yet again even though Time had told them not to eventually going to sleep with the group keeping a close watch on Time hoping that the elixir would start to work, and worried about his delirium and what he was talking about during it, all of the talk being about his regrets he would have when he died
Day 3
"Please...let...me...go"
"No, you...you have to live, after all, Malon's waiting for you, as is your unborn child"
"I can't...dying...poison"
"Poison?!"
"Yes"
"I thought we gave you the antidote"
Time coughs up blood once again and it's obvious that he was in pain
"Wrong antidote"
"Then we'll find the right one"
Meanwhile the three ghosts were still waiting for Time to come to them and watching
"They won't find the antidote in time, they're too far from civilization"
"I know Legend, I know"
"Wars...I think Time can see us"
"What?"
And it was true, the closer to death Time was getting, the more he was seeing his dead comrades shapes, the first two days he hadn't seen them, but on this day he saw the faintest of outlines of three people, though he couldn't tell who they were. He would be unconscious for the rest of the day
Day 4
"I wish...I could...have seen...my son...grow up"
"You will Time, I promise you will"
Time simply continues to mention his regrets weakly throughout the day, getting weaker every moment and during this time the three ghosts knew that Time could definitely see them, even if he wasn't talking directly to them so as to not scare the surviving members of the group
"He can see us, I don't know if he can hear us, but he definitely knows we're here now"
"Time..."
"It hurts Sky, I know it, but soon, he'll be with us soon"
Time looks at the group and Legend takes a risk to see if Time could also hear them
"Don't worry Time, we'll be with you the entire time, like we have been since day 1"
Time simply nods and thus confirms he could see and hear the ghosts and thus Wars talks directly to Time as well
"It's okay, I know it hurts Time, but everything will be okay, and Time, I never blamed you for being forced to end me, I knew that it was the only way, the person may have had control over me for the most part, but my connection to the Triforce allowed Hylia to let me see and hear everything even if I couldn't control my actions. And Time, I'm sorry you were the one who had to deal the killing blow, I know you probably made the choice for the others, but considering our connection due to the war it had to of hurt you emotionally"
Time simply nods but doesn't speak, soon after he loses consciousness once more only being woken up to take the elixir that Wild was making to try and keep and Time alive
Day 5
The group was at the point that they knew that they were losing Time, even if they didn't truly want to admit it and had surrounded Time's death bed knowing that he was in his final hours, maybe even final minutes, he had survived for five days so far, but he had been getting weaker every day and they had known that it was a losing battle, Time's internal bleeding returning every three hours or so and on this day he had mainly been quite not even speaking of his regrets like he had been for the past five days
"Hyrule..."
"I...I'm here"
"It's time...please...let me...go"
Twilight however speaks up
"No...you...you have to live"
"I can't...I'm...sorry...Wars...Sky...Legend...I'm...coming"
Time closes his eyes and moments later stops breathing. After a painfully long few minutes Hyrule forces himself to confirm what the group already knew
"He...he's gone...his pain is over at last"
"We...we need to take him home...him, Sky and Legend...they..."
"Right"
Meanwhile Time had opened his eyes and had rejoiced at his reunion with his three already deceased brothers
"What now?"
"Now we follow them and hopefully see our own funerals"
"Yeah"
Legend would be brought home first and the group would leave after presenting his remains to his Zelda and Ravio. As for Sky that was hard on them due to being told that Sky's Zelda had just discovered she was pregnant with Sky's child
"We're sorry...that he won't be here to see them grow up, and that he never knew he was going to be a father"
"I know"
Meanwhile Sky was shocked
"Do you want to say, or go with us when they...they tell Malon"
"I'm staying, I have to watch over them even if they don't know it"
"Understood"
Finally they landed in Time's era
"I...I'll do it"
"Twilight..."
"I...I promised, a long time ago"
"Very well"
And so Twilight carries Time's body to the house by himself and knocks on the door, with a heavily pregnant Malon answering
"Malon..."
"No...no...no...nonono...please...please don't tell me it's true"
"I...I'm sorry, but he's gone"
Malon breaks down crying and the rest of the group surrounds her and then suddenly she gasps
"No...not now...I can't lose them too"
"Malon?"
"I...I'm in labor, my water just broke"
The group quickly get Malon back to her bed, though she resisted initially
"We...we have to bury him...before...before he..."
"It's okay Malon...there's...there's a preservation spell on his body, it'll keep for a few days at least, I promise, right now we have to focus on you"
Meanwhile Time had seen Malon go into labor due to the shock
"Oh Malon...I wish I was there with you during this moment"
"I know Time, I know"
"Wars...you...you can go if you want"
"No, this moment is precious and I want to witness it with you"
"Thanks"
Nine hours later Hyrule is telling Malon what she just gave birth to
"It's a boy!"
Hyrule cuts the umbilical cord and quickly hands her newborn son to Malon, and Malon whispers his name
"Kafei...named after a friend that I never met"
Meanwhile in the spirit world
"Oh Malon...thank you"
"You'll be able to watch over them, you know that right?"
"Yeah, but...I won't get the rest you all will...not until I train Twilight, I finally understand now in death why Twilight was sad around me, I can finally see what he was feeling and thinking, I train him as someone known as the Hero's Shade"
"I see, we'll be ready to greet you when the time comes"
"Right"
The group would bury Time the next afternoon on the farm, with Malon holding her newborn son the entire time. Eventually one by one the rest die and are greeted by their brothers that were in the afterlife already, once Time was finished training Twilight he met up with those already gone
"Now all that's left to do is for Twilight to end this journey and eventually go on the one where he meets me in person"
"Yeah"
Soon enough all of the group but Wild had joined the afterlife
"Now what?"
"Now we wait for Wild to join us...though first he has to actually be born"
"Right"
Once Wild was born they looked after him, watching him be chosen by the Master Sword, and watched him fall to the Calamity and being taken to the Shrine of Resurrection, actually keeping him from joining them too soon, though it was hard for them to force his spirit to remain in his body. But they also knew that it had to be done so that his personal history wasn't changed. Eventually though Wild would grow old and die after defeating Ganon once and for all during his second adventure
"Guys..."
"Hey Wild...we've been waiting"
"Sorry"
"Not your fault"
Suddenly Hylia comes to them
"Hylia"
"I have a gift"
"A gift?"
"Yes, you are allowed to watch over your spiritual descendants and in small ways help them, but they must complete their journey themselves"
"Than...than I didn't actually defeat Ganon once and for all did I?"
"No, but there will be peace for many more years, I promise"
And so over time they do help their spiritual descendants in small ways during their journey(s) as Hylia promised with each successor joining them when the time came and continuing the cycle of watching over the reincarnation of their spirit
