Welcome back to A Song Of Spiders And Dragons. Last time, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man set out for their quest to stop Mister Negative from destroying the Devil's Breath Antiserum, informing Yuri of what they were planning to do, only to learn a helicopter went down around the area of the Devil's Breath Lab. Only one real candidate for whose helicopter that was. And sure enough, arriving on the scene, it's Osborn's helicopter, and Mister Negative is having him dragged into the Devil's Breath Lab for some reason. Spidey and the dragons take out the Demons guarding the place, and soon are about to make their way in. So, what's about to happen? Read on to discover...
(Our scene resumes at the door to the Devil's Breath lab, which Spider-Man is presently trying to pry open)
Spider-Man: Geez, how heavy is this door?!
(Looking around, Cynder spots someone running at them)
Cynder: Hit the deck!
(And just as Cynder gets her warning out, Silver Sable comes running in firing at the trio. Spyro and Cynder manage to dodge, and so does Spider-Man, but he ends up kicked into the doors by Sable, guns pointed to his head)
Silver Sable: You harass my men, destroy my equipment, and cost my client millions. Give me one good reason to not kill you.
Cynder: That's enough, Silver!
Silver Sable: Stay out of this Cynder, like I warned you to earlier.
Cynder: Look. I know you don't like Spidey, and I'm pretty sure he's not exactly a fan of yours right now.
Spider-Man: Putting it a little mildly, but whatever helps.
Cynder: But right now, Martin Li has your client inside this building. And as much as I despise Norman Osborn, we can't waste a second in stopping Li.
Spyro: In short, you can battle us, or we can fight Li together. But we can't do both.
(Silver Sable thinks it over a moment, and then backs off of Spider-Man, holsters her guns, and uses her keycard to open the door, which Spider-Man actually falls through in a moment of unintentional comic relief.)
Silver Sable: You owe me for this, Cynder. And I mean more than just a few bottles of Latverian vodka.
Cynder: I'll put it in my ledger.
Spider-Man: Does this mean we're good?
Silver Sable: It means I will help you secure Norman. After that? I make no promises.
Spider-Man: That's better terms than we were on a few minutes ago, so I'm good with that.
(And with that, the quartet finally enter the Devil's Breath lab building, and find Mister Negative really has trashed the place. Silver Sable almost steps in the energy, but backs off when she seems to hear the screams of the damned coming from it as the rest of the team enters)
Spider-Man: Li's out of control...
Cynder: I'm not holding on to hope that he can be saved...
(And as if on cue, more of Mister Negative's Demons run up, which Silver Sable turns her attention towards)
Silver Sable: (Drawing her guns) You three secure Osborn. I'll talk with them.
(And with no hesitation in her step, Silver Sable runs into battle just as the doors close.)
Cynder: Godspeed, Silver.
Spyro: Alright, Martin. No more hiding. This ends here.
(And with that, the trio starts descending the ripped open elevator shaft)
Spider-Man: This is insanity. We have to try to reach the Martin Li we knew. The one who built F.E.A.S.T. He's got to still be in there somewhere.
(After a few minutes of descending, the group arrives at a hole in the floor where the laws of gravity seem to be negated by Mister Negative's powers.)
Spyro: No way to go but down, I guess.
Spider-Man: Well then, down we go...
(And with that the trio drop down into the abyss as our tale ends for today)
And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. Things are coming to a close now. Undoubtedly that hole leads to the Devil's Breath Lab, but what awaits down there? Can they pull Martin Li out of Mister Negative, or is he too far gone? You'll have to tune in next time to find the answers to... at least some... of those questions. I won't say which. So be sure to tune in for that. Same time... same channel!
