Hey, there and welcome...

I know that I am cheating here but I thought about trying out leonardo18anime's Chainsaw Man DxD because the premise is interesting but the execution is... left much to be desired.

In any case, this story will be a fusion fanfic of Chainsaw Man and Highschool DxD if you haven't already noticed and last but not least, I do have a stunning plan with Asia Argento, especially with the image cover I have for these story.

Well, anyway...

Let's begin...

Disclaimer: I do not own Highschool DxD, Chainsaw Man and 'Chainsaw Man DxD' by 'leonardo18anime'. They belong to their respective owners.

Enjoy.

Humanity has long grappled with the concept of evil for in our stories and nightmares, these abstract fears often take form, coalescing into monstrous entities we universally recognize as Devils.

These are the creatures of gruesome depictions, beings that revel in torment, thrive on suffering, and are whispered to forge pacts with desperate mortals, promising power at a sinister price.

The very strength of these Devils, as legend dictates, is intrinsically linked to the intensity of the fear they embody.

War, disease, loss – the darker corners of the human psyche seem to birth these entities into a terrifying reality.

Yet, what if the fear-fueled Devils we know are not the entire picture? Whispers in the hidden corners of the world suggest a far more complex supernatural tapestry woven around humanity.

Unbeknownst to the vast majority, these fear-embodied Devils, while undeniably present and potent, are not the sole inhabitants of the infernal realm.

There exist other, more ancient, and arguably more powerful supernatural beings walking amongst us, beings whose influence stretches back to the very foundations of human belief systems: the biblical Devils, alongside their celestial counterparts, the Angels (and their fallen brethren).

Only a select few are privy to this deeper, more intricate supernatural hierarchy, and within this knowledge lies the crucial distinction between the Devils born of fear and the Devils of biblical lore.

The question that inevitably arises is: how did these fear-embodied Devils come to be? Their origin is shrouded in mystery, sparking speculation amongst those who dare to delve into the occult.

One prevailing theory posits that their emergence is a direct consequence of the demise of a primordial entity, a being referred to as the Prince of Darkness, or Satan, by the biblical Devils themselves.

This Prince of Darkness, it is theorized, once held dominion over all fears and nightmares, possessing the power to conjure them into existence.

Whether through his violent end at the hands of the biblical Devils, or perhaps as an unintended consequence of his very power to create, his demise or his inherent nature might have triggered the birth of these fear-embodied Devils that now plague humanity.

This theory suggests a fractured inheritance of power – the primal fear essence, once centralized in the Prince of Darkness, shattered and dispersed, birthing a multitude of lesser, but still terrifying, entities driven by specific human anxieties.

Another, more radical theory proposes a different architect for these fear-born horrors. Imagine a cosmic duality, a counterpoint to the divine Creator – an 'Anti-God', if one dares to use such a term.

While the Abrahamic God is understood to be the source of life, creation, and free will, this Anti-God could be envisioned as the architect of fear, nightmare, and the darker aspects of existence.

According to this perspective, the fear-embodied Devils are not accidental byproducts but deliberate creations of this opposing force, beings intentionally crafted from the raw material of human dread to torment and control.

This theory paints a picture of a cosmic struggle, a celestial Cold War fought not just in the heavens, but also within the very hearts and minds of humanity, with fear-embodied Devils as the foot soldiers of darkness.

Irrespective of their precise genesis, the reality remains stark: these Devils, born of fear, constitute a tangible threat.

They prey on humanity, drawing strength from our collective anxieties, and their existence casts a long shadow over both the mundane and the supernatural realms.

However, a curious and unsettling implication arises when considering their origin in fear itself.

What would happen if these fear-embodied Devils were to be eradicated?

One might naively assume a world freed from terror but the text subtly hints at a far more complex and potentially devastating consequence.

Imagine a world where the memories of catastrophic events become hazy, where the lessons learned from past horrors fade into oblivion.

The text alludes to this by posing unsettling questions: Would the devastating reality of the Second World War, with its fascist regime in Germany, begin to blur in collective memory?

Would the terror of blood-borne diseases, a constant threat throughout history, become an abstract concept devoid of visceral fear?

Would the phrase 'a star that broke children's minds' – perhaps referring to a traumatic cultural phenomenon or a devastating trend that scarred a generation – lose its chilling resonance, its power to evoke understanding and caution?

This thought experiment reveals a profound and unsettling truth: these Devils, born of fear, are intrinsically linked to the very concepts they embody.

Their existence, however terrifying, serves as a perverse form of mnemonic anchor, tethering humanity to the visceral reality of its collective fears and experiences.

To erase them might not be to eradicate fear itself, but to risk severing humanity from the very understanding of its darkest lessons, leaving us dangerously susceptible to repeating past mistakes, adrift in a sea of forgotten terrors.

Meanwhile, the biblical Devils, along with their celestial and fallen counterparts, operate on a completely different plane.

They are not born of human fear; their origins lie in a cosmic narrative far predating humanity itself for they are figures of theological significance, embroiled in grand narratives of rebellion, redemption, and divine judgment.

Their motivations and power structures are likely far more complex and less directly tied to immediate human emotions than those of fear-embodied devils.

The biblical Devils, it's hinted, find the comparison to these fear-born entities distasteful, perhaps viewing them as crude, lesser beings, mere manifestations of chaotic energy rather than the sophisticated and ancient adversaries they consider themselves to be.

This distinction suggests a hierarchy within the infernal realms, a layered supernatural reality where the fear-embodied Devils are perhaps a relatively recent, albeit potent, phenomenon, while the biblical Devils represent a more fundamental and enduring aspect of the cosmic order – or disorder.

For the vast majority of humanity, blissfully or ignorantly unaware of these intricate supernatural layers, life continues in its often mundane, sometimes cruel, and always unpredictable rhythm.

On a planet where unseen entities might be lurking in the shadows, preying on fear and perhaps even on souls, and where the cruelty of humanity towards itself remains a stark and undeniable reality, the average person strives for normalcy.

The seeds of a story, perhaps reflecting this complex world, could be sown in the most ordinary of circumstances.

Imagine a child, burdened beyond their years, forced to shoulder a crippling debt to the ruthless Yakuza, a starkly human form of devilry.

Juxtapose this with another individual, perhaps naively optimistic, consumed by a frivolous dream of building a harem, their desires blind to the darker realities lurking beneath the surface.

These seemingly disparate threads, the mundane and the supernatural, the human and the monstrous, could intertwine, revealing the hidden currents of fear and ancient powers that shape the world, a world where devils - in all their terrifying and multifaceted forms - are not just legend, but a hidden, potent reality.
