Chapter 26 – Play

Surprisingly, the Ninja group didn't enter immediately and scouted the surrounding area first. Cain watched as the ninjas used a few jutsu to check their surroundings, trying to figure out if there was anything strange in the cave.

"Oh come on, I won't put a trap or monster out there." Cain grumbled, "Just enter already."

While he was a little bit disappointed, Cain also had to admit that they were professional, doing what they had to do. He shifted his attention to the screen that monitored the Devils.

Sona, alongside her peerage that consisted of six people excluding her, Saji, Tsubaki, Tomoe, Momo, Reya, and Ruruko, stood before the gate. They had a serious expression and were on guard.

Rias also stood with them, crossing her arms anxiously.

"This is truly ominous. The limit is 8 people... Can we even enter?" She asked, "If Akeno and the others are still inside, then only 4 more of us can go."

Looking at the sign, Sona couldn't help but sigh. She didn't want to imagine what would happen if all of them were able to cross the door. If that were to happen, then she had to leave two members in the human world to hold the fort. It was an unfortunate choice to have to leave someone behind.

"It is a bit too late to regret." She muttered and signaled her pawn, Saji, to enter the gate.

Saji nodded and stepped into the entrance with Tomoe, the Knight. Following that, the other peerage members, including Sona's queen, Tsubaki, entered one by one. Before long, 6 people managed to enter, and Rias' expression worsened with each person that went through while Sona frowned.

"No... It can't be." The red-haired heiress muttered in horror.

Seeing that, Sona patted her shoulders and gave a rational reasoning.

"Rias, listen. This is a dungeon similar to a game, right? Isn't there a rule where each party will not be connected to the same space inside the dungeon? Your peerage members could be counted as a different party and are in a different space. Let's enter together and find clues." She said, calming the Gremory princess down.

Rias took a deep breath and calmed herself.

"You are right... " She nodded, entering the dungeon together with the Sitri Princess.

The moment she entered the gate, hell greeted her. A strange space with dimmed light. There was no sun, but it was bright enough to see the ground. However, she couldn't see beyond 2 meters from her position due to the fog. The air was hot too. A strange environment, not something from the human realm.

"...This place is...?"

Sona appeared from the gate, standing next to Rias.

Calmly, she looked at her surroundings, the flaming hell that had lava flowing on the ground and on the trees. A place where heat filled her surroundings.

"Sorry, but it seems I will only be able to use my ice" Sona said after assessing the situation calmly.

As a Devil specialized in water and ice, Sona would need a large amount of mana to support her ice power in this place. Her power would be limited and would take a great toll on her body if she used it.

And while the situation didn't allow her to stay still and rest, using ice magic would only make her tired faster. In the end, the only thing she could do was to rely on her Queen and peerage members while she saved her magic power.

In response to that, Saji smiled widely and punched the air.

"Don't worry! We can do it! Just sit back and relax!"

Tsubaki, who heard him, didn't waste time to scold him. "You are not reliable at all. But you are right about the part where Sona-sama doesn't need to worry. We will take care of the monsters."

The other members of her peerage also voiced their affirmation and readied their equipment.

Having a competent and loyal peerage member, Sona smiled at the display.

"Everyone, thank you. I will leave the battle to you then."

Although she wouldn't be so useless to the point she wouldn't be able to fight, she was happy with their sentiment. She didn't tell them that she would still be able to use her water magic normally.

With that, they entered the formation and the group started to move slowly, finding the first step of the dungeon. Rias still looked around with less focus on the dungeon.

While she tried to not be affected by her peerage's situation, she was still anxious about their whereabouts. Her anxiety was affecting her concentration and she couldn't focus.

Even when a fire Orc attacked, Rias didn't pay attention to it at first. She was a little bit startled, but she regained her bearing and watched Sona and her peerage dealt with it. The monsters were no match to the trained devil and the battle was quick.

'My peerage members won't lose to something like that.' She thought, observing the battle with anxious expression, 'They should be alright, but... No. They must be alright.'

The Sitri peerage's formation wasn't something to scoff at. With Tomoe and Saji as the tank, she had Tsubaki and her as the main attackers. Meanwhile, the rest were either supporting the two of them, or attacking from behind.

Her observation, though, wasn't correct. Sona's peerage wasn't that good. In fact, compared to her, they weren't as skilled. They were weaker and less experienced.

Even so, Sona could rely on them.

"Let's get going."

Sona pushed her glasses up after defeating a fire slime with water magic, and then signaled her team to move. The group of 8 then walked to the direction that was marked with a sign. It was an obvious trap, but the only path that seemed safe enough. Besides, the fire element monster would attack no matter where they go, so it was better to just go through the main path.

The group moved cautiously and slowly. The enemy was weak, so they weren't too afraid of fighting.

Watching them easily breeze through the first floor, Cain hummed. He observed their reaction closely and found out something interesting.

They were acting as if this place was a dangerous one.

Especially Rias. Her expression was truly one of a kind, something he had never seen before. It was the look of a girl who had to face the death of her family.

"Ah, is it because she thought her peerage had died? Come to think of it, I never put any sign that said resurrection is possible. It's normal if they think they have died."

Thinking about it, Cain realized he forgot to mention it in his rules.

He opened the notification and wrote a new rule on the sign.

─ Upon dying, you will be sent out of the dungeon and revived in 3 days.

"Alright, that's done. Now, I need to maximize Rias' emotion to get Coins. While I want them to have fun, I also need Coins. Hehehe, the corpses haven't disappeared yet, so let's use them for my Coins bank."

He smirked, and remotely controlled the Yeti on the second floor using his new authority.

A game screen appeared, with the screen shown from the Yeti's point of view. Somehow Cain immediately understood how to move and control the Yeti.

He walked around the snow to get used to the control before heading to the entrance where the fallen corpses of Issei, Yuuto, Koneko, and Akeno were. There was also Raynare's corpse, buried under the snow, but he ignored her entirely.

Right now, Cain was in a situation where he couldn't control his excitement, and the only way to express it was through moving his monster to gather snow and throw it like a professional basketball player.

"Hahaha, it worked!"

Not satisfied, he threw another snowball and it landed on Raynare's body, burying her further.

"Strike!" Cain exclaimed excitedly.

Controlling a large monster like Yeti made him feel like inside the cockpit of a mecha from the Gundam series, an exciting dream of every boy. He wanted to throw more snow and enjoy himself, but he stopped when he saw that Rias, Sona, and their group reached the second floor entrance, the long cave corridor that had fire on the walls.

He then moved his camera view from Yeti to the system's screen that monitored the dungeon.

Sona's group, just as he had thought, was on high alert and they were ready to fight.

"Alright, this is perfect. Time to put on a show."

The Yeti, which had been under Cain's control, prepared the show. First, he set the corpses around him and took Issei's corpse, raising him high above the monster's hed. He grabbed the leg and let Issei's bloodied body dangling like a pinata, placing it right on top of the monster's mouth.

He deliberately stood a bit away from the entrance that would appear soon. When Rias' group reached the end of the tunnel and entered the room, he would slowly lower Issei's corpse into the monster's mouth, creating a dramatic effect where the Gremory princess would watch her servant being eaten.

With this, he could gain both entertainment value for himself and coins, a perfect combination.

Cain couldn't wait to see Rias's face. She would surely scream in horror and shoot the destruction ball from her hand. He would then move the corpses and make them look as if the ball hit and obliterated them.

'That should give me a lot of coins, hehehe.'

And so, he turned his attention to the second screen on his right, showing the Devils arriving at a metal door.

Meanwhile, the Ninjas were still paranoid and put on a sealing scroll to keep the civilians away.

Chapter 27 – Gremory Princess' Madness

The devils pushed the door.

Creak-

Heavy metal door creaked, opened slowly, revealing a snow covered ground with a blizzard raging wildly.

It was cold, freezing.

A white mist escaped from their mouth with each breath. A snow storm raged, obscuring the visibility of the entire forest, making them unable to see beyond 5 meters.

However, there was no need to see through the storm to find their enemy.

"RRROOAAARR!"

Because the monster was standing in a pile of snow, with bodies laying around it, and a familiar red hair was hanging above its head.

Rias, who was looking at her fallen servant, held in the monster's grip, gasped and her eyes widened in shock.

"HOW DARE YOU?!" She shouted loudly, watching as her servant, the boy who loved her, almost got swallowed whole. Her expression turned grim, and her aura changed. The red hair that was once beautiful and elegant turned dark with aura. Her eyes, too, became crimson and her aura became more and more sinister.

The Yeti opened his mouth and lowered the boy into his mouth.

Seeing that, Rias got enraged. Destruction factor gathered around her hand and her aura changed. She didn't hesitate to shoot the ball, aiming for the monster's face. She was in such rage that her power, a red colored sphere of light, expanded and created an explosion.

"Grrr!"

Getting hit, Yeti threw away Issei's corpse and screamed. Blood gushed out of its mouth. Its fur was torn, revealing a bit of its pale skin. For a moment, Yeti lost his balance, and his legs almost buckled. But, he was a big and strong creature. It didn't take him more than a few seconds to recover from the destruction power that ate away at his face.

"OOHHH!" The monster screamed and ran away from Rias, drumming the earth and disappearing into the blizzard, escaping from his demise.

The Gremory princess was about to follow and hunt it down, but was stopped by Sona. Her expression was still grim as she stared into the bodies on the ground.

"Are you not going to check on them?" Her expression was grim.

Rias didn't answer and only knelt in front of Issei. She checked his pulse, and after a while, she despaired. Color disappeared from her face and she knelt down on the floor. Her eyes were empty.

"..."

Her face was filled with sadness, regret, anger. She was shaking. The one she loved was dead, her peerage members. And the one she blamed was herself. Her heart ached, her stomach turned. Her eyes started watering, and tears dropped to the ground, freezing upon landing.

She didn't care about her surroundings, didn't see how the others looked at her, how her fellow rulers checked on her, and how her group was on high alert, ready to defend her against any enemy. Her mind was in turmoil. Her heart was shattered. Her world collapsed.

The death of her peerage, her precious people.

"Uu... uuh..." Tears kept dropping and she kept crying. Her hands reached to her chest, holding her heart.

Gremory Princess, Rias Gremory. The next head of the Gremory clan.

The young woman who had a bright future in front of her, whose life was as smooth as silk. The woman who was loved and admired, a leader who shouldered the hope of others, the symbol of hope for many. A young woman, barely 20 years old.

The one who was supposed to live and be loved.

Now she cried and her world turned black, as the color of despair filled her heart. As her mind and her body were filled with pain.

Her eyes became dark, her expression was of pain.

Destruction aura seeped out of her body, destroying everything but the bodies she cared so much about. She cried, and then stood up, her face blank.

"Rias, are you okay?" Sona asked worriedly, knowing full well her rival and friend wasn't fine.

"I will destroy this place." Rias said.

She didn't wait for any reply and shot a ball of destruction at the Yeti, who was watching her from afar.

Yeti screamed in agony, a cry that shook the forest and the snow around the mountain.

Yet, Rias wasn't done. Her body was covered with dark aura and she walked toward the monster, a small part of her heart wanting to take revenge on the one that killed Issei and the others, while the rest was just wanting to destroy.

Raising her hand, she controlled the destruction factor around her and attacked, creating an explosion that shook the entire mountain.

And then another.

And then another.

A series of explosions.

A sound of the world being destroyed.

A sound that echoed in the air.

Blizzard didn't stop her as her body became one with the dark element. Destruction spread through the snow and ice. Everything turned into nothing.

And she stopped after 5 minutes of continuous attack. Her breath ragged, she stared at the pile of snow where she had attacked the monster. It should have died, leaving nothing but a large crater in a sphere shape.

But even so, the feeling of satisfaction didn't fill her heart.

No.

It only filled her with emptiness, sadness, regret, anger, hate.

"This place... I will destroy everything. Everything..."

Her words were full of hatred.

Cain was sweating.

"Shit."

He never expected this kind of reaction.

No. He had expected it, but this was… wilder than his imagination.

It was true that Rias was crying, and it was the perfect chance to get coins from her. However, he underestimated how far the Gremory princess was willing to destroy everything.

Cain didn't expect that the first attack from her would destroy the Yeti, making the second floor's main dungeon empty. Even the weather that tried to stop them from advancing forward was destroyed by the layer of destruction that covered her in a sphere shape.

"Maybe a dungeon with E difficulty isn't enough." He murmured.

"This is not a show, this is a slaughter. While she's in a madness state and her power surged up suddenly, I think I should make the third dungeon harder. There is a chance she might break through the third floor and go straight to the final boss. I got a nice reference now."

He paused to think about what to do next.

For now, he was happy to see Rias' uncontrolled emotion. This would yield him more coins.

Fortunately, he deliberately made the entrance to the third floor hard to find. They would probably wander around the second floor for a few minutes. While they were at it...

"Oh, the Ninja group is about to enter."

Naruto and the others entered Fun Fun Dungeon!.

Chapter 28 – Ninja's Way to Explore a Dungeon

After getting the mission from Tsunade, the ninjas gathered at the dungeon entrance, preparing themselves mentally and making a plan to explore the dungeon. Kakashi and Guy led the team that consisted of Naruto, Lee, Tenten, and Neji.

Their plan was simple. Just enter and look around carefully, avoid combat if possible and investigate the cave. If they find anything suspicious, then they would act accordingly.

"Let's enter." Kakashi said.

The ninjas entered the dungeon and were greeted with a cave that was far from normal. The walls didn't look natural for a cave. For a normal person who never entered a cave, they might look normal, but not for the ninjas.

Kakashi narrowed his eyes and inspected the surrounding area. He didn't use his Sharingan to detect the genjutsu. Rather, his trained senses helped him find out if there was any genjutsu.

But he didn't find anything that could indicate a genjutsu.

"It's strange. This is not genjutsu. What is happening here? The space is expanding greatly compared to the entrance we saw. We couldn't even find the opening connected to the entrance, as if..."

"The space is bent using jutsu or camouflaged so that it can fool both Sharingan and my Byakugan." Neji finished Kakashi's sentence, activating his special eye.

He looked around carefully. He was able to see the chakra through the wall using these eyes, but the walls around them seemed to block the chakra.

Or maybe the walls were covered with a layer of special substance or material. Whatever it was, the dungeon's wall couldn't be penetrated by Byakugan.

Kakashi nodded at the Hyuga's assessment.

"Then, it could be the reason we didn't find anything wrong when we first patrolled the area." Guy said, "What do we do, Kakashi?"

"Let's advance slowly. Based on the sounds from inside, there might be some creatures in this dungeon. We will move forward, but keep an eye out for anything that seems off." The Copy Ninja ordered, taking a step forward.

The team, consisting of Jounin, Chuunins, and a Genin, moved slowly through the dark tunnel. They couldn't help but feel uneasy as they didn't have any light to illuminate the area. The darkness of the tunnel made them feel vulnerable.

"Wow, this is creepy." Naruto commented, rubbing his arms nervously.

Guy laughed loudly, "Ha! This is not even enough to make me feel fear!"

"Guy, keep it quiet."

"My apologies, my eternal rival. This is the first time I have seen such an amazing sight. I cannot help myself." Guy replied, "This is not genjutsu. We're really in a place that's bigger on the inside rather than outside. Isn't this screaming youth? Don't you think so, Lee?"

"You're right, Guy-sensei! This is the pinnacle of youth!"

Tenten facepalmed.

"Guys... We're on a mission, you know? We can't be making noises like this."

Neji also nodded in agreement. He was used to his teammate's antics, but it was still annoying. The fact that his Jounin instructor was also joining the fray only made things worse for him.

Slowly, they went deeper into the cave and encountered something.

"Wait." Neji, the one in charge of detecting incoming enemies, signaled everyone to stop. "There's something there."

Kakashi, the leader of the team, looked around. He gestured for the others to stay while he moved closer to Neji hiding behind a rock. "What is it?" He asked, whispering.

"There are creatures up ahead, 3 of them." Neji whispered. He didn't open his Byakugan, afraid to alert them.

Peeking from the corner, Kakashi could see 3 small humanoids with green skin. He didn't need to activate his Sharingan to see that these creatures weren't humans and dangerous, seeing how they held sharp looking wooden clubs in their hands.

"What are those?" Neji asked, not seeing the monsters in the darkness.

Kakashi hummed and answered, "I don't know. But let's try to go past them. If you're discovered, use the signal and we will retreat. Understood?" He said to Naruto, Lee, Tenten, and Neji.

After receiving their affirmation, he gave the signal to start the mission.

The team began moving, careful not to alert the monsters of their presence.

As the group approached, the monsters turned their attention toward them, their eyes glinting with malicious intent. Without hesitation, they rushed toward the ninja, brandishing their clubs and growling menacingly.

The ninja responded immediately, leaping out of the way with a swift and practiced agility. Guy and Lee, the two in the front, kicked two of them. The last goblin was taken care of by Neji. He struck his palm on the creature's body with his gentle fist style. Chakra flew and destroyed the goblin's internal organs. The green monster died on the spot.

The first encounter ended just as quickly as it started, and the ninja took a moment to catch their breath and gather their thoughts.

"It's strange." Neji said, looking at the corpse, "They have no chakra path. Instead, there is this strange glowing energy around their stomach."

Kakashi's interest perked up. "Glowing energy? Where is it?"

The Hyuga pointed his finger at the area between the goblin's stomach and heart. It was a place that could only be seen using a Byakugan, a glowing blue light.

For a few seconds, they went silent.

"What should we do with these bodies?"

"We should just leave them here for now. Our main mission is not killing, but exploring. Let's just put it on the mission report." Kakashi ordered, turning away and walking into the dark cave.

Neji and the rest followed, and as they were about to turn into a corner, they heard the sound of an object moving. More monsters appeared, but this time they were blob of liquid. A Slime.

There were four slimes that stood before them, blocking their way.

However, they were slow. Even slower than the goblin.

In a quick move, Neji, Guy, and Lee attacked them. They understood the creatures were dangerous at first glance, and they were correct. While the Slimes were weak, they were very hard to kill because their bodies were mostly made of gel like water.

Only their core was vulnerable.

However, that was not a problem for the ninjas.

Guy and Lee immediately obliterated the slimes with their overwhelming physical strength while Neji hit the cores directly using his palm.

Seeing how fast they dispatched the slimes, Cain was amazed. He was sitting on his throne, watching them with interest. The group was too strong, way stronger than what Cain expected.

"Wow."

Chapter 29 – Madness Fuel

He knew they were ninjas, but the group's teamwork was too perfect. And even though they had to be cautious, they were still very efficient in clearing out the dungeon.

It only took 5 minutes to kill the slimes and move on to the maze area. Neji used his Byakugan to navigate through the dark path, showing them the right path to take.

"Huh, aren't they too fast? With Byakugan, even the hidden room would be found quickly. They didn't even use a serious jutsu yet. I don't think I would be able to see their serious battle in this dungeon." He grumbled, and turned to the other screen, watching the Devils.

"Welp, this is more interesting. System, set the alarm when the ninja group finds the secret room or arrives at the boss room."

[Affirmative.]

After hearing the reply, Cain looked back to the screen. The devils advanced through the blizzard easily thanks to Rias and Sona. The former destroyed everything in her path while the latter created an ice path for her group to walk on.

The path they took was straight. He deliberately put a tall structure to show them the way to the third floor, an unexplored region with monsters and hidden treasure chest with potions. It would take at least 30 minutes to an hour for a group to find the third floor, but the Devils were on their way there in only 20 minutes because the blizzard didn't stop them at all.

And they also didn't encounter any enemy since they already defeated the exhausted Yeti.

"Good, good. Keep getting mad until you see the new sign. Or maybe I should control the boss on the fourth floor and talk to them directly? I wanted to enjoy it directly too."

Having guessed that he would be able to control monsters sooner or later, Cain put the fourth floor boss to be easy to control for a beginner. He wondered whether he should control it, but shook his head almost immediately.

"No, I won't be able to move as well as the original monster. It would be a shame if Rias' battle isn't epic. I would just show up at the end of the battle and say my piece before rewarding them with the reward I prepared."

He nodded at the thought. It would be the best course of action for him to take in order to maximize Rias' reaction and get more coins.

After watching for 3 minutes, Rias' group reached the entrance of the third floor, a tall ice structure that reminded people of tower structure, stretching to the sky and disappearing into the blizzard. The top was covered with clouds and fog, hiding what was at the end of the tower.

"This must be the way." Saji, who had been silent until now, spoke. He didn't know whether this place would lead them to another world or just the end of the floor, but he hoped the latter.

Entering recklessly into something that clearly looked ominous was a bad idea, and Sona was about to warn them, but she had no chance as Rias immediately entered the large door.

With no other choices, they all followed her into the dark and ominous ice tower.

The interior of the ice tower was a stark contrast to the blizzard that had ravaged them. Inside the tower was a large gray grassland, with dark sky above them, flashing dangerously with lightning. Wind howled around them and the air was filled with an eerie feeling.

A sense of dread permeated the air and a chill ran down their spines. They could feel a malevolent presence in the air and they could sense it.

Some shadows could be seen from behind the grass, moving in the distance, hiding their presence from them. From the shape of their silhouette, they seemed to be a quadruple monster, four legged monsters.

"This place..." Sona murmured. Her voice was barely audible.

Rias gritted her teeth. She didn't like the atmosphere here and she could feel her body tense up. The atmosphere was oppressive, as if the darkness itself was weighing down upon them, the wind laughing at her loss. Her breathing grew heavy, as her heart raced in her chest. Her eyes darted around, searching for any sign of monsters.

After locking them on, red magic circles appeared in the air, each of them had a destruction ball ready to fire. She was ready to fire her destruction magic the moment she saw a monster.

Her eyes were red with bloodlust and vengeance. The loss of her loved ones had caused her to become reckless, her anger and sadness driving her forward. Her desire for vengeance against whoever was responsible for this place had pushed her beyond the breaking point. Her power was out of control.

Her breathing grew heavier as the rage boiled inside of her.

And then, she shot them.

Barrage of destruction balls flew across the field and created large explosions one after another.

A shockwave of energy reverberated through the field, the ground shook and rumbled as the balls exploded one by one hitting the hidden silhouette that was revealed to be wolf monsters.

Shriek filled the air, but they quickly died.

Sona, who had her magic ready, breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Rias in concern, wondering what she would do next.

"Rias...?"

Rias' eyes narrowed, and her gaze turned to the distant figure. A cliff could be seen, as if inviting her and her team to explore it.

Her face was cold, devoid of emotion, her eyes dark and full of rage. She clenched her fists, blood dripping from the wound she created, and stared into the distance, the wind howling in her ears. She could feel the darkness closing in, as the wind carried the smell of blood and death.

She took a step forward and began to walk.

"Let's go, Sona." She said coldly, her eyes flashed with a hint of rationality, "I will destroy this place."

Still raging, Rias walked forward and the rest of the team had no choice but to follow.

They had to stay together. Sona had to ensure her friend didn't destroy herself with her uncontrolled power.

Chapter 30 – Cryptid Monster

Rias was walking towards the cliff, a determined look on her face. The other members of the group were worried about her.

While walking, they found a few wolf monsters hiding behind the grass. They growled and pounced on the Devils, trying to claw them to death, but the red-haired woman didn't even turn her head and attacked. She didn't stop walking, firing a ball of destruction to their face.

Sona also held her own weight. Her peerage breathed heavily, clearly tired from all the fighting and magic use. Their movements began to falter, and some made mistakes.

"Whoa!"

A wolf suddenly rushed and bit Saji's hand. The boy cried in pain, his expression contorted into a mix of pain and fear.

"Saji!"

Tomoe came to help him and pulled out her sword, cutting the head of the monster in one clean stroke. Blood sprayed from its neck, splattering on Saji and the surrounding grass. The wolf fell down on the grass, lifeless.

"Are you okay?" Sona checked him after they regrouped, the wolves were all taken care of.

"Y-yeah." The pawn answered, grunting in pain. His left arm bled from the wound. Blood was pouring out from his hand and dripping down his sleeve, staining his uniform.

"You don't look fine! Wait a minute." She said, looking at Rias who watched them with empty eyes, "Rias, can I use the potion you gave me to Saji? The experiment already-"

"Use it. I have no one to use it for anymore." Rias' face darkened, thinking of her peerage.

Sona sighed and grabbed the potion from her pocket, pouring the content of the vial onto Saji's arm, and watched in awe as the wound slowly closed. She was surprised to find that the wound had completely disappeared. It was like it was never there in the first place, with only the blood stains and ripped clothing left as a reminder of what happened.

"Wow?" Saji, the one that received the potion, muttered. He moved his hand to make sure everything was alright and smiled. His hand was moving as well as before.

"This... is incredible." Tomoe said.

Rias, meanwhile, just turned around and continued to walk. She didn't even spare a glance to her friend or even think about telling her brother the potion and get recognition to break her engagement.

All she had in mind was her fallen servants. Even though the potion might save their lives, it was already too late.

Gritting her teeth, she looked at the large entrance into the cliff.

"Just a little more."

"Don't rush." Sona, who finished treating Saji and left him with the others, approached Rias, "My peerage members aren't in the condition to fight anymore. They are too exhausted now. I think we should rest for a while and recover our energy. We need to prepare for whatever awaits us."

"..." Rias didn't answer and looked at the other peerage members.

Tsubaki was covered in blood and had her uniform torn. Tomoe had scratches on her face, and her legs were bruised from the wolf's bites. Saji was panting and his clothes were covered in mud and grass from rolling around.

Seeing them, Rias narrowed her eyes slightly before throwing her gaze away.

"No, I will go alone. Don't stop me, Sona."

Sona's eyes widened as she heard that. She had to stop her! But how?!

There was no way to calm Rias now, not when the only way was to bring Issei back from the dead. But even that wouldn't work, would it?

So only one way was left.

"Let's go together. At least I will be able to help you." She offered. If she couldn't stop her, at least she would be able to protect her.

"Fine." Rias agreed.

Entering the opening that connected the grass field with the cave, Rias and Sona saw that there was a sign on the metal double doors.

[Dungeon Boss room. Once you step inside, you wouldn't be able to step out.]

Upon reading that, Sona looked worried. She was about to suggest to her that they shouldn't enter. After all, the danger inside the room might be too great and they would lose their life if they entered.

But before she could say anything, Rias grabbed the door and pushed it.

"Rias!" She called, trying to warn her friend, but Rias didn't listen.

Instead, she pushed the door harder and walked inside the room. The Sitri princess clicked her tongue and entered. At times like this, not even her intelligence could help.

A cold air greeted her when she stepped inside the large room. She shivered from the chill and her breath fogged in the frigid air. The walls were icy, with jagged icicles hanging from the ceiling, reminding them of the second floor.

In the center, a humanoid monster stood. Its thin body and sharp claws were covered with ice, and its long tail was wrapped around itself like a snake. Its skull head was adorned with deer horns and its red eyes glared at the intruders. A skeletal hybrid of deer and human that was taller than both Rias and Sona.

"RRRRRR!"

A deep growl came from its mouth.

The Wendigo stood on its two legs, glaring at its prey while licking its teeth with a long tongue. Blizzard started to appear in the room, just as the one on the second floor. But this was different.

The blizzard in this boss room was created by the boss, and was meant to keep its opponent's body fresh for consumption.

Facing the new strong adversary, Sona immediately used her magic and formed a large water magic circle that sent a wave of icicles toward the Wendigo, who in response ran to its right, dodging it easily.

The blizzard started to intensify, slowing down their movement and visibility, giving advantage to the boss. Seeing that the visibility became a problem, Rias shot her destruction balls, destroying everything in her path.

"GRAA!"

Wendigo, whose path to attack was blocked, stopped and roared in annoyance, but didn't falter. It circled around the room to ambush the two Devils.

But before the Wendigo could finish its maneuver, Rias had found the Wendigo. She created a larger magic circle, summoning a large ball of destruction and shooting it at the boss.

"BOOM! BOOOM!"

An explosion rang out in the room and shook the entire dungeon.

Cain, who was sitting on his throne, watched the scene with great interest.

"This is so interesting."

Sona was in charge of defense and kept the Wendigo away while Rias unleashed a barrage of attacks against the Wendigo. The Devil was fighting with her powers, and the boss monster was a formidable foe.

To be honest, Cain was surprised when they could keep the Wendigo away considering the monster's status.
