WINDS OF FREEDOM VOLVIO CABRONES!
Chapter 59: Ready for Dessert!
SHaNg Tu ISlaNd – EGg TheRMos, Night Hoursasf?
Inside the cramped control room of the Egg Thermos...?
Panels sparked and alarms blared as the remnants of shattered and torn metal testified to the all-out battle between Spade and Dail.
BOOM
Spade's body flew back with a burst of force as one brutal impact sent him hurtling toward a cold metal wall. The collision leaving a deep dent in the surface as Spade could only manage a guttural grunt as pain seized him.
As he struggled to get up, in the smoke, his vision gradually cleared to reveal Dail emerging, his blade, glimmering ominously in the dim light.
"Dail… don't do this…" Spade rasped, the words trembling on his lips as he struggled to make sense of his brother's relentless advance.
"Please…" Spade's plea was barely audible over the cacophony of alarms around them. He reached out desperately, his hands weak and trembling, trying in vain to snap his brother back to reason, but nothing could break through Dail as his cold red eyes loomed over him.
As the distance between them closed, Spade felt an inexplicable paralysis, though every instinct begged him to move, his body remained frozen.
"Dail…" Spade whispered, the gleaming sword of Dail loomed ever closer.
"Dail!" Spade cried again, his desperate pleas growing louder, each cry a futile attempt to halt what he sensed was inevitable.
"DAIL!" he screamed with raw pain as without a single word, Dail brought down his blade toward him. In that heart-stopping moment…everything went dark.
…
Then, suddenly, a jolt of consciousness shattered the nightmare.
"Spade?"
"Gah!" Spade bolted upright from his sleep, his heart racing as he frantically scanned his surroundings. "What?" he said with confusion as reality reasserted itself. The remnants of his dream clung to him.
"Erm, S-Spadey?" came a soft, concerned murmur from behind him. Spade turned his head to see Delano, Duffy, and several members of the Red Scarves peeking around. Their faces were etched with genuine worry.
"Are you alright?" the gecko inquired, stepping closer. "You were moving a lot in your sleep."
"Have you not rested enough back in the palace?" Duffy added, his voice mixing reproach with care as he eyed the disheveled state of their comrade.
Slowly, fragments of memory began to resurface within Spade. He recalled the bitter taste of his battle back at the Egg-Thermos back in Shang Tu, but he was no longer inside that doomed fortress, he was now here, on Shuigang Island.
Shuigang Island – Island Borders, Noon Hours
Vast snow-covered fields stretched beneath a gentle, orange-hued sky. Military trucks and vehicles were scattered along the border as soldiers busied themselves with equipment checks, huddled conversations, and brief moments of respite around smoldering campfires. Beyond the frozen expanse, the Kingdom of Shuigang awaited.
"...Right" Spade murmured as faint recollections steadied him, they were now making the last preparations to commence the assault to the palace... and he decided to rest on a nearby tree for a bit.
His eyes wandered across the assembly of his gang, he stirred from his makeshift perch atop the gnarled tree where he had taken a short, unintentional nap.
"Never mind me… Im fine" he began, his voice low. "But now that everyone is here, I just need you to listen to what I'm about to say…" He said his voice carrying a tone of resolution.
As he scanned the sea of colorful tents and faces, Spade braced himself to give his orders, borne from his troubled sleep.
As he spoke, not far away, seated in a loose circle of chairs, our heroes were gathered. General Gong, Neera, Mayor Zao where with them, the atmosphere was relaxed but with slight tension as they discussed the upcoming events.
"Good," Gong began as he stroked his chin. "Thanks to your information, we now have a clearer picture of both of their armies. Robotnik's forces seem more chaotic, while Brevon's troops exhibit a more militarized discipline, both sides are equally menacing. But I believe that we can find a way to neutralize both robotic armies, hmm. Anything else about Brevon and Robotnik that we should know?" He fixed his gaze on Torque and Sonic for more insights.
Torque paused his work with a thoughtful hum. "Hmm, well, Brevon is a starship commander. His troops handle almost everything else, but he lacks the on-ground combat experience that, say, you handle so well,"
Sonic arched an eyebrow. "Really?" he said playfully. "He put up quite the fight against me, back at that facility."
"Dude you got blown out of the Tornado and ended up crashing into the bottom of the sea!" Carol said as she nudged his arm.
"And you ran all the way from Parusa to Jade Creek," Lilac added. "It's incredible that the emerald could even communicate with you to pinpoint our location, I didn't knew it could do that!" She said with a note of admiration.
"We neither!" Tails chimed in, "There's still so much we don't understand about the emeralds…"
Sonic let out a sheepish laugh, "Tell me about it! It was actually Spade's emerald that sent the signal. I don't know why or how it just did."
"Does that mean you owe me one, hedgehog?" Spade said from afar as he couldn't resist making a jab at him.
Sonic turned, grinning broadly as he shot back, "Don't count on it, it was the emerald that did the heavy lifting, not you!" He said with a playful tone
Spade rolled his eyes his smirk fading as he returned to the murmured conversation with his Red Scarves.
Breaking the levity, Knuckles interjected, "So, basically, we have to bring Brevon down in a close combat fight, right? We have to force him to engage us directly."
"Yeah, we gang up on him!" Carol declared, unsheathing her claws.
Mayor Zao's voice boomed with a boastful cheer, "Aha! We take the battle to the streets!" His declaration, was only meet by subtle eye-rolls as they decided to ignore his inputs to the discussion.
Tails quickly corrected himself, "As for Egg—, erm, I mean Robotnik, we shouldn't focus as much on him as we should on his enforcers."
Neera's brows furrowed in deep thought. "Right, the leader of the Hard-Boiled Heavies and those metallic replicas mimicking both Sonic the Hedgehog and Sash Lilac." She looked up at Tails. "And you're saying there aren't any more of them around?"
Tails shook his head firmly. "Correct. Robotnik discontinued the Metal series after only Metal Sonic proved effective… though, I guess he decided to try one more time with Lilac." He said with a small shrug.
"Hey now that you mentioned it." Carol glanced at Tails as she recalled one of their stories. "Wasn't your metal version just a doll, though?" she said teasingly as she watched his cheeks flush a deep shade of red.
"Y-yeah, so?!" Tails stuttered defensively, crossing his arms in a huff. "I eventually got a metal version—even if it was scrapped. But, uh… maybe he's designing an even cooler robotic model for later." His voice trailed off, a mix of hope and uncertainty lingering in his words.
"Oh, I wanna hug a Tails Doll now…" Milla said innocently at the thought, her words only deepened Tails's blush.
"Focus!" Neera snapped, regaining control of the conversation. "What else can you tell us?"
Clearing his throat and regaining his composure, Tails pressed on, "R-right… well, apart from that, we're mostly on the offensive, storm his main facility, defeat whatever robot armies he throws at us, fend off whatever gigantic endgame boss Robotnik decides to throw at us in the end and… um, that's usually about all there is to it." He admitted.
"Really? That is all?" Neera said, her tone half-amused and half-doubtful.
"Yup!" Sonic interjected, leaning back in his chair. "Once his big bad robot falls, it's game over for him. Then we just defeat Brevon, snatch the emerald and the stone, aaaaaand return the stone to where it belongs." His words were directed at Mayor Zao, who immediately huffed in indignation.
"All right, alright I get it," Zao muttered, crossing his arms and pouting. "The stone goes where it belongs." He grumbled begrudgingly, knowing that he won't be able to get away with his original plan.
Gong rubbed the back of his head and smiled faintly. "You really make it sound so easy, you know?" he mused.
Sonic, rising from his seat, flashed a confident grin. "Been doing this for a long time, and sure this time is way different and honestly a bit more challenging than the other times, but with all of us together? It'll be a piece of cake." His words rang with certainty, his friends exchanging smiles.
"I see." Gong gave a smile as well by Sonics proclamation, but soon his smile faded swiftly into a furrowed brow. "But even so," he began gravely, "we need to cross the snowfields without getting wiped out. And knowing who we're up against, it won't be an easy task."
"Well, we do have one advantage" Lilac declared as she rose from her chair. "Brevon wants all of us dead, no matter what, for disrupting his plans, more so after the whole Egg-Thermos fiasco. If he sees us coming in full force, he'll order most of his entire army to prioritize on us."
Gong's expression sharpened as he grasped her implication. "A diversion…using yourselves as bait. Well, at this point they would have a very deep vendetta against all of you. Do you think you can pull it off?" he asked with concern.
"Remember all the times we distracted you two back when you guys guarded the old temple in Relic Island, huh?" Carol said to the two pandas with a playful glint in her eye. "Because I can remind you if you want."
"…Point taken," Gong muttered, Neera rolling her eyes.
It was now settled, their plans taking shape and they will soon be put into action. But even then, a voice of concern soon rose.
"But what about the townsfolk?" Amy's soft voice broke through with worry. "I visited Shuigang before the conflict began, and the palace is near the Shuigang docks. So many lives depend on that area."
A heavy silence fell as everyone absorbed her words. Torque frowned slightly. "Well, logically the civilians would evacuate from the warzone…right?" he ventured, though his tone held a hint of doubt.
Knuckles shook his head. "Yeah, if only the nation's leaders wasn't brainwashed. As far as we know, Brevon and Robotnik would treat them as nothing more than meat shields, no second thought."
Suddenly a new layer of difficulty pressed down on the group, and surprisingly, it was Gong who voiced his frustration first. "How could we have been so careless about that!" he exclaimed. "We need to warn them, give them a heads-up before it's too late! Or else we won't be able to attack!"
"General, may I remind you that you're currently a member of the Shang Tu army, not a soldier of Shuigang?" Neera shot him a stern look, interlaced with a tinge of understanding.
"I know that!" Gong snapped, surprising everyone with his outburst. Then his tone softened. "But they wouldn't listen to a stranger, they'd heed the words of someone who truly belongs here." He turned to the rest as he gave a brief explanation "Sorry for my outburst, I hail from these lands and I had served as a guard of Shuigang before moving to Shang Tu. You could say I was well known before my departure."
Neera's gaze softened in response. "Right, I remember your stories. They'll believe you, that much is clear. But the problem is, you'd be going in alone, straight into a death trap!" She said firmly, underlining the grave risk.
Torque interjected with a frown, "And sending just one of us is sure to alert the enemy, even thought I believe that they know we are here… and that is not factoring the fact that if the townsfolk would believe us..."
They all knew they had to find a way to warn the civilians, but how?
Just then, Bean bounced into the conversation. "Uh! We can help with that!" he declared bringing both Fang and Bark. "While Fangy was busy fixing his radar, we stayed at the inn in the docks, and guess what? We met tons of people in our stay! They totally adore Bark, especially the kids!" He gestured over his shoulder toward the polar bear, who shifted awkwardly, embarrassed by the attention. "Sure, our stay was short, and maybe there was a little boom here and there, but it made us a little known around those parts."
Neera gave him a cold glare. "I will not ask for now, but you do realize that you're criminals, right?"
"Yeah, in Shang Tu," Fang announced smugly as he strolled into the circle. "We've got a clean slate everywhere else. Besides, the Fat Man still thinks we're on his side—as far as we know—so that adds some points in our favor, doesn't it?" He grinned broadly, clearly savoring the irritated expression on Neera's face.
Amy's eyes shone with hope as she leaned forward. "Will you guys actually do it?"
Fang leaned back, scratching his head. "Guh… we're already here. Besides, getting there will also answer the questions about what Robtonik's deal really is…"
Before anyone could speak further, Amy rushed toward the trio of hooligans, her bright eyes brimming with eagerness. "Oh, will you three really, really do that?!" she exclaimed.
After a deep, exasperated sigh, Fang muttered, "Ugh, I guess. It's the least dangerous job of the bunch. While you lot handle the hero work, we'll head up to the docks and warn everyone." His tone was reluctant yet resigned.
Bean nodded enthusiastically at the plan while Bark offered a quiet grunt of confirmation. In no time, Amy lunged forward and enveloped the three in a powerful bear hug. "Oh, you guys are not so bad after all!" she declared happily, squeezing them tight. Fang and Bean's faces reddened as they struggled for air, while Bark couldn't help but blush under the force of her affection. "You guys are the best!"
"Agh! Get off me, demon!" Fang cried, flailing as he fought for breath. After a couple more seconds of her exuberant display, Amy finally released them.
Gasping and clearing his throat, Fang managed to compose himself. "Hah… hah… let's get this over with," he wheezed, then deliberately marched over to where his Marvelous Queen awaited.
"Please wait!" Gong called out as he approached. "I appreciate your help, but here, take this." He pulled a round object from beneath his armor, a medallion with Shuigang's emblem embedded in it. "This is my old medallion. Every guard used to have one, and each was unique. Show it to one of the old folks at the docks, and they'll know you mean business." He handed the medallion to Fang.
Fang accepted it with a grunt of affirmation. "Makes the job even easier then," he said. Wasting no time, he bellowed, "Move it, ya mooks! I've had enough of these idiots!" Bean and Bark exchanged brief farewells with the others before boarding the craft. "We will be back! Be good while we are away!" Bean waved with enthusiasm.
"We will, be safe!" Milla called out sweetly as the Marvelous Queen lifted off into the snowy night sky, the roar of its engines filling the air as it sped toward the docks.
Carol raised an eyebrow at Milla. "Didn't they try to shoot you down once?"
Milla giggled. "Yeah, but they decided to help us, so that means they aren't so mean after all! Well… maybe Fang still is."
"If ya say so," Carol shrugged, shaking her head before turning her attention back to the group.
Mayor Zao clapped his hands together, his voice rising in an attempt to regain control of the meeting. "Yes, yes, the citizens will now be safe! But how do we get the Kingdom Stone and the emeralds from them? It must be locked away somewhere in that high-guarded secret facility!" He gestured dramatically.
Tails stepped forward. "Robotnik hinted in his story of how he and Brevon met that they're using them to power up Brevon's ship—to probably 'get off this rock, and conquer the universe. So, between staying at the palace and the "diplomatic talks" ... Torque and I have designed a little something, tada!" he said proudly, holding up several green cards adorned with intricate circuitry.
Torque cleared his throat. "These cards are hacking devices," he explained. "With them, we can knock out the power to the ship's engine frame—cutting off its energy just long enough for us to grab the stone."
Zao blinked in confusion. "Uhuh…In my language?"
"It kills the power so that we're able to take the stone," Lilac said simply. Both Torque and Tails nodded in agreement.
"Ah, I see! But what about the emeralds? I don't think they're going to use both the stone and the emeralds to power up their ship, right?" Zao asked.
To that, Knuckles stepped in with a confident grin. "That's an easy answer," he stated. "One of the Master Emerald's special properties is its ability to neutralize the power of the Chaos Emeralds, rendering them useless."
"Neutralizing the Chaos Emeralds? That's possible?" Neera asked, genuinely intrigued.
"Yes." Knuckles tapped his chest proudly. "I know the incantations to power them down. And lucky for us, the Master Emerald is on the same ship. If we can get it first, it'll make the Chaos Emeralds useless for them."
"Good thinking—that's our knucklehead!" Carol and Sonic cheered in unison, grinning and exchanging a celebratory fist bump.
"Shut up, you two," Knuckles muttered with annoyance, though there was good humor in his words.
Lilac clapped her hands. "Okay, let's recap," she began. "We will distract Brevon and Robotnik, lure them right to us, while Neera and the army storm the palace. The Hooligans are to warn the townsfolk to evacuate so we should not worry for any civilian casualties. And while on our way we try to locate their main base, if it's not the palace, then we find it on our own. When we find it, then we break in and make our way to the Master Emerald so we can neutralize the Chaos Emeralds as well as to use the hacking devices to knock out the power and retrieve the Kingdom Stone. And, on top of all that…" Lilac said with a confident grin "We kick Brevon's and Robotnik's butts!" She said as she added with a grin. "Anything else?"
"Don't know, seems like a good plan to me!" Sonic replied with a wide smile.
The rest gave their own cheers they exchanged determined looks. Although the hardships, their shared resolve was evident. And they where ready to put all this to rest.
Just then, Lilac's eyes caught a particular someone, who had been silently observing the discussion from a distance. His gaze was cold, unreadable, but there was an unmistakable heaviness behind it, as if he had just made a hard decision.
"Spade?" Lilac asked her brow furrowing.
Spade's eyes narrowed, and the murmuring of the Red Scarves behind him fell into a heavy silence.
"…"
After a long, agonizing pause, he spoke in a measured, bitter tone, "…I've already decided…We're out."
"HUH?!"
The reaction was instantaneous—a collective gasp swept through the group. "What?!" Lilac's voice rang out loudest in disbelief.
"What do you mean you are out?" Knuckles demanded.
But Spade remained unmoved. "You heard me," he said, his tone cold. "I don't want any part of this. I'm done. I'm not risking my neck any longer." He turned his back on them. "This was such a waste of time…" he added, signaling for the other Red Scarves to gather their things. Some sighed in exasperation, while others exchanged worried glances as they reluctantly followed his lead.
"Dude, we are literally at the entrance!" Carol yelled, frustration evident in her tone.
"You can just leave now!" Lilac snapped, her heart pounding. "Spade, what about Dail? He's still—" Her words broke off abruptly as concern for their fallen comrade surged.
Her plea was cut off when a card sliced through the air pass her, embedding itself in the snow just inches from Zao. The startled mayor letting a little shriek as he tumbled backward into the snow.
The panda's eyes fixed on the dragons "I've already given up. There's no point in risking this… Whoever I met back at that building wasn't Dail they were nothing but a stranger... and he's not coming back." His voice wavered briefly before regaining its edge, and with that, he turned away, leaving the group in stunned silence.
The Red Scarves following suit.
Zao, still half-buried in the snow bellowed after them, "Good riddance! I don't want my almost murderer here! We don't want you people here scram! Shoo!"
"Spade!" Lilac and Carol called out in unison.
But Spade ignored them. His footsteps grew more measured as he vanished slowly into the border of the snowy forest. "See ya around, Carol… Sash… or not." He said over his shoulder, barely above a whisper.
"But… why, all of a sudden? Why now?" Lilac murmured with confusion. "W-we can still save him, Spade!"
"Yeah!" Carol added, frustration evident, "Weren't you supposed to save your brother? Come back!"
"Spade, c'mon, man! This doesn't seem like you!" Sonic shouted. Yet, despite their shouts, Spade's figure faded into the forest.
For a long, heavy moment, the group stood in silence, torn between the urge to follow and the necessity to press on. Should they chase after him? The decision hung in the cold air, until one voice broke the impasse.
"That panda!" Amy declared with an exasperated huff as she abruptly rose from her seat. With determined strides, she marched toward the direction Spade went.
"Amy?" Lilac called after her.
Amy's eyes narrowed. "Hmph! You guys start, I'll go after that rude panda and give him a piece of my mind!" Without waiting for further protest, she sped off after Spade, her footsteps crunching the snow as she followed his trail.
"Is it wise?" Neera asked with skepticism, her eyes flicking between the determined faces of her closest friends and those of the Avalicians and Torque, who appeared more troubled by the weight of the decision.
"Eh, let her go," Sonic replied confidently. "She seems to know what she is doing, so we trust her, so you should too. She always catches up." He said with certainty, the others reluctantly nodded their agreement.
Taking a deep breath, Lilac's expression transformed into one seriousness. "We can't really wait for them now…" she said quietly. Glancing around at her friends. "We all need to act now, or else our world will never be free!"
It was now or never.
"Yeah, we're not waiting now, let's do this!" Knuckles bellowed, clenching his fists
"Very well, then lets us start, I pray for the Hooligans to deliver the message before we arrive." General Gong said with a firm nod. "The tanks and convoys are ready," he stated with authority.
"And Pangu has recharged herself!" Sonic added with a grin, glancing toward the hovering drone as if sharing an inside joke. Immediately, the drone's electronic voice chimed in, "Dragon Mode ready," her light pulsing in acknowledgment.
Neera nodded, her eyes sharp and commanding. "Everyone!" she called out, her voice resonant and clear, cutting through the chill of the dusk air as the soldiers of both armies turn to her call. "We are about to enter Shuigang's territory. Prepare yourselves and give it your all, let's bring down those who dare disrupt the peace of our islands!" Her rallying cry sent a surge of energy through the army, ready to depart.
"Move out!" Neera ordered, her tone brimming with confidence and leadership.
At that command, the entire camp sprang to life. Engines roared to life as the vehicles and tanks surged forward. Convoys formed in organized formations, as the soldiers scrambled to secure their gear, all hearts beat in unison for the impending assault.
"See ya in the front lines, Lilac!" Carol called out, adjusting her hat as she revved her motorbike, speeding off to join the advancing vehicles.
"Stay safe, everyone!" Milla added with a warm smile. She joined Knuckles near one of the larger red tanks that where offered to them, and together they climbed aboard the massive vehicle.
"We'll be covering you from above, Sonic!" Tails shouted over the roar of the engines as he and Torque prepared their equipment. "We've got your back!" Torque added, strapping himself in beside Tails while working on some other gadget. Gyro gave them both a confident nod as the Spinner's propellers began to spin faster, lifting them gracefully into the air.
Hovering near Sonic and Lilac, Pangu extended her tendril-like appendages toward each of them. Sonic grabbed hold of one tendril while Lilac took the other, and in a brief moment, their eyes met, a silent exchange of mutual trust passing between them.
"Ready?" Sonic asked with his signature grin, extending a hand toward Lilac.
Robotnik and Brevon´s Main Base
Deep within the facility, in the main base of operations, Lord Brevon loomed in the darkness. Cloaked in shadow, his eyes glowing with a menace as he watched through the monitors that where set in the snowy paths.
Every screen revealed a different angle of the advancing enemy forces across the snowy expanse. Rage radiated from every pore of his being as he silently absorbed the information.
Beside him, Syntax appeared, her single eye flashed steadily as she delivered her report. "The enemies have commenced their assault," she stated calmly.
The warlord's fingers curled into fists beneath his cloak. "Give the order to your troops, every troop." He said to Prince Dail.
"It will be done, my lord." Dail's eyes flared as he gave him a curt bow, he stormed off to execute Brevon's command, "My kingdom will not be taken by these fools!"
Outside, the convoy of military vehicles barreled across the snowy plains toward Shuigang, the ground crunching beneath their massive wheels and the engines roared in unison.
Lilac smiled with warmth as she looked at Sonic. "With you? Always," she declared confidently as she took his hand in hers.
In that moment, Pangu activated her ascent, lifting Sonic and Lilac as they soared upward, towards the skies.
"Tsyahahaha! We will show those pests exactly who they're messing with!" Serpentine hissed, his tone brimming with twisted excitement as he bellowed, "Eggman! To the new machines!" he slithered away toward the preparation rooms.
Floating alongside him, Syntax's electronic eye flickered with anticipation as she followed.
"This will be satisfying," Syntax muttered quietly, her voice carrying a rare note of glee as she joined the snake's march.
"Let's rock!" Carol shouted as her bike roared beneath her.
With Knuckles pounding his fists together, "Time to show them what it means to mess with us!" Milla nodded in firm agreement. "Together!"
"We're going to die!" Dexter shouted from one of the tanks.
"Don't ruin the moment!" The voices of Vern, Richard, and Leo erupted in unison with annoyance.
"It's Robotnik, you disgusting slug!" Robotnik snapped irritably as he glared at his assembled creations awaiting orders. "You three, protect the base while I'm away!" he commanded.
The trio of mechanical enforcers acknowledged his order with stiff nods. Metal Sonic's red lights flared as he shot forward. Heavy King, moved slowly but surely.
And as for Metal Lilac, for a fleeting moment, she lingered behind. Turning her gaze toward Brevon, her glowing eyes studying him with curiosity before she finally shifted her focus and joined her fellow creations.
Robotnik, meanwhile, stalked to where Serpentine went. "I'll show that goat, that rodent, and all their friends the true power of the Egg- I mean, Robotnik Empire!" he declared with a wicked grin as he exited the room.
"We can do this!" Tails declared his voice ringing with bravery.
Torque, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "I… uh… don't have a catchy phrase…" His words drew an eye-roll from Gyro, who simply patted his shoulder in silent encouragement, "Uh… let's give it our all!"
Neera and General Gong led the march forward, their expressions set with resolve. Even Mayor Zao carried himself with a newfound sense of purpose as he followed closely behind.
Far back along the snowy path, Amy glanced over her shoulder. A soft smile played on her lips as she whispered gently, "Don't worry, guys… I'll catch up. Spade, wait up!"
For his part, Spade walked in silent contemplation. In the dim light, provided by the gentle blue glow of Pangu, he briefly glanced back, the soft luminance cast long, mysterious shadows among the trees, and for a moment, his expression revealed the weight of his choice.
As the room fell into silence, Brevon's eyes locked onto the monitor once more. His expression darkened further as he watched the advancing forces of Sonic and Lilac flying toward the palace. A low, rumbling growl escaped his throat, raw with rage and frustration.
"This will be either your end… or mine…" Brevon whispered to himself, his eyes narrowing into slits of seething hatred. "Sonic the Hedgehog… Sash Lilac!" He shouted his voice echoing through the darkened chamber.
"Dragon Mode:… ACTIVATED!"
Pangu's voice rang out as an overwhelming burst of blue radiance erupted around her. In that blinding flash, her form dissolved, only to transform into the grand ancient dragon once more.
Atop the dragon's head, Sonic and Lilac stood side by side, their expressions etched with unwavering confidence and resolve. The wind whipped around them as they gripped the dragon, ready to face whatever fate had in store.
"LET'S GO!"
They cried in unison as Pangu let out a primordial roar that shook the very heavens, surging forward toward their destination.
The battle for Shuigang had commenced!
{Post A/N)
Hey, been what? A month or something? Really sorry! Been busy lately, still am a little bit. Maybe because smart guy over here decided to get obssesed with the videogame FUGA: Melodies of Steel (Which you should play it btw) as well as deciding to do a challenge of drawing over 48 different OCs... still have 16 left, haha.
But anyways, here is the start of Act 11: Battle for Shuigang!
